Since I've been to 2 other locations, the one on Normandy Blvd, and the other is on Blanding Blvd. I'm generally pleased with both of those locations, and I was pleased with the food and service in this location as well. Not much more I can say about that!

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!! I'm born and bred out of the Midwest, so when trying to decide somewhere to take my boyfriend somewhere we would both have options and be satisfied, I was excited to see a Golden Corral so close to our apartment. Upon our arrival to this location I quickly regretted persuading him to eat there. After we paid we quickly realized we had made a mistake. This entire location is filthy. The carpets, tables, and most dissatisfactory, the actual buffet. There are stains everywhere accompanied by holes in the buffet structure that look as though they house creatures. The food itself looks repulsive, as if it's not properly cooked or taken care of. The whole place is just DIRTY! We paid a total of $29.92 for two buffets and two beverages and within 5 minutes walked in AND out of this establishment. I do not pride myself on being high maintenance or fancy when it comes to food, but in all honesty I could not physically bring myself to eat here...it was that absolutely DISGUSTING!!! I hope they take measure to improve the location before it is shut down.

Not sure why everyone posted great reviews on this Golden Coral. My personal experience was not good on my 1st or 2nd trip. Bland food...like hospital cafeteria or school lunch style. The steak was not good cuts of meat, so it just ok if cooked properly. The seafood cooked fresh was overly soaked in butter....now I know it was scampi, but it might of been the worst Ive ever have had. Again no flavor. The Good. Quick service, friendly staff. Items are Hot and fresh. The Bad. Over Priced for the quality of food. No seasoning..everything is bland. Dessert bar needs major help...out of a can junk. I would spend your money elsewhere.

This one is much better than the one I've been too on beach blvd. I've been to this location a number of times and will keep coming back because they know how to do it the right way. The steaks are cooked the way you want them to be and taste delicious, and not like they've been sitting under the heat for a while like I've experienced in the past. The other thing I like about this location is that it is not always crowded like the rest of the one's I've been to in Jacksonville.

Though there was a lot to choose from it was clear that no care was given to quality or temperature of the food. At the salad bar three canisters just had a dusting of remnants left: red onion, broccoli and cheese. I went back about 25 minutes later to see if they had been filled, they weren't Rotisserie chicken, pulled pork, fried rice, mac-n-cheese, corn, green beans: the only item hot was the corn. The mac-n-cheese was not consumable. Everything else was cold. Dessert: not much to say here either. The presentations were sloppy and clearly had been that way for at least hours. The hot fudge dispenser did not work or was empty and it took three times for me to get the woman's attention for help, then all she said was, "I don't think it works." When it was clear to me that it was empty. She walked away. Gee, thanks for the customer service. Bottom line, my husband and I will not be back.

Everything was fresh" I am from GA and I have to all you can eat restaurant are the worse GOLDEN CORRAL and RYAN back where I am from Columbus and Atlanta I just hated its just NASTY but I must say not this place they deserve an A+ well done fresh food, manager was on point making sure everything was clean the food was steaming every time I went back up to the from for more ** I know GREEDY** they also have a big selection of food.

Came in around 9 on a Saturday night. This may be the smallest Golden Corral I have ever visited. I am not sure if it was because it was late or understaffed, but the buffet areas were not tended to as I am used to (there was food spilled all over the counters, the food was out consistently, and many of the available dishes were not cleaned very well. The food was quite tasty, however. I always enjoy the popcorn shrimp at GC, and I got lucky and caught them refresh and they came out (yay me)! I don't eat red meat, but the other members in my group had the steaks, which were very good. The ribs, however tasted of castor oil. The only other downside to our visit was when another member of our groups found what we determined to be a shrimp tail on his fried chicken. This caused debate among the group, as some members thought it was a roach wing. The service was also poor. Our waitress (Katelyn?) may have stopped at our table twice during our hour and a half visit. Our drinks were consistently empty and dirty plates piled up on the table. Meanwhile, our waitress could be seen fraternizing in the party room with other waiters and waitresses. The dessert station was in shambles. The cake seemed to be thrown onto the plates and the station was messier than any other. I still tried the chocolate cake, but it was poorly flavored and dry.

Golden Corall is regarded,in the south as one of the greatest dining experiences ever. I don't get it. I've been there twice, but the buffet never really lived up to the hype. My first visit earned the two stars, having given a selection of seafood options (limited time) that were mildly enjoyable. The service is virtually nonexistent as the cashiers never really looked too pleased with their jobs. It lacked the customer service and hospitality that I've grown used to in Florida. The second visit featured a bland selection of generic American buffet items. The desert section carried chocolate,caramel and vanilla sauce fountains that, simply because they aren't too common earned this restaurant the right to not fall under the culinary Sword of Damocles. (Other wise known as the one-star review). I don't really plan on another visit to the Less-Than-O.K-Corall

My very first trip to a Golden Corral was last night with my wife and daughter. And I was pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good across the board. The guy manning the steak grill was very nice... and offered to cook out steaks to order. And they were seasoned... and tasted great. Many of the dished they serve were scratch made. All the breads and desserts are made in house. Overall... I was happy with my visit. I think I would definitely go back when I am craving the buffet style atmosphere.,

They nasty. I used to love this place when I first came to jacksonville. I though finally Golden Corral is closer than it was in Michigan. After the first 5 times. It was just nasty. food was old looking. I know there had to be some health code violating when it came to that salad back. Hey it needs to be at least below 35 degrees to keep it from baateria growing. It was so warm I literally prayed over it. the desserts eww just... This place should just be Chucky cheese because I thinks the kids destroy it.. all ..some food taste old or refrigerated

One of the worst eating experiences I have had. The bright fluorescent lights and weary, worn carpets evoke the worst memories of a junior high school cafeteria. Drink choices are limited to Pepsi products. The salad bar looked like everything came out of a bag or can. The steaks (set up on the buffet like old shoes to donate to charity) were not the choicest of cuts. Some of the platters, like the pizza (actually the highlight), didn't have serving utensils so I had to pick up the slices by hand and pray for the best. Servers, while friendly, constantly bump into each other and race to keep up with the unbussed tables. Piles of plates are everywhere. The question at the end of this strange dinner is why the corporate braintrust behind this chain feel satisfied with shilling mediocrity on its patrons instead of rebranding the whole buffet concept with tastier - if not healthier- choices. Why not roasted Brussels sprouts instead of steamed balls of tepid green stuff? Why not smaller choice cuts or even inexpensive skirt steak instead of rubber sole shoe meat? Nobody in the free world deserves to eat like this.
