This Five Guys is LITERALLY the best one I've ever eaten at in my life. Although there was a line (when is there ever not??), the cashiers quickly moved everyone through. Food came quickly, was SO DELISH as always. The employees here refilled drinks for customers, threw away trash, and held open doors! Service is 10/10.

Ok, the food here is always really, really good! So no complaints there. I really just wanted to comment on the staff that this restaurant has chosen to work at this location. I find them to be very unprofessional at times, I even had an employee ask me for my phone number which was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. The last time, the cashier was overly nice in an obnoxious and loud manner, and flirty and it again made me uncomfortable- he also told me that I am harming my unborn child (I'm pregnant) by ordering mushrooms on my burger. I'm sorry, but that's completely rude and inaccurate. There is nothing wrong with eating mushrooms while pregnant, and when I told him that he actually argued with me about it and then told me after, "ok whatever you like, I'm just warning you." I'm sorry, but I didn't come here to get judged by an non-medical professional...I came for my delicious burger. Anyways, I don't even want to come this location ever again after the last time. I would really have to want a burger to endure the obnoxious staff.

Great burgers. I hate the fries. They are always soggy? I know they are fresh cut, but are they double-frying them (the way that proper "pomme frites" are made)?

I love this place! It always has customers so they are pretty busy but the service is always great! The hamburgers are amazing and a little pricey but it's worth it. If you haven't had five guys you are missing out!

Five Guys is interesting case of excess served for lunch with the kind of gentle touch reserved a company of Marines working together. While I didn't hear anyone yell "Oorah", it would not have been out of place as this happy group of kitchen workers seemed to be busy as bees making burgers, dogs, and fries. While I have visited other locations of this chain of hamburger restaurants, this one seemed to be the genuine article of hard work dressed in red and white kitchen style. In reference to my cautionary note about everything seeming big: the burgers are served in pairs, the "little" fries would out last any "supersize" from a drive through, and the drinks are self served in 100 different flavors. Yes, the check is also large, but the quality and raw application of kitchen know-how seems to produce stellar results. As a hamburger place, i would be entertained to find a worthy rival in Jacksonville, but I think this is probably one of my better visits in the area.

There's really no need to talk about the food, it's common knowledge FiveGuys is amazing. This location is great, but the best food always comes from the evening shift crew. I've never had sub-par burgers and fries after five.

LOVE THE BURGERS! Always so damn good. We do a low carb lifestyle and you can order you burger here "protein style" (no bun). Just load it up with extra veggies. Also... They have peanuts which are low in carbs. But goodness.... I miss the Cajun style fries!!!! They are the best. This location is always pretty crowded. But always kept very clean.

Love five guys! I drive from Valdosta just to get the yummy burger and fries! The best burger around in my opinion and the fries.....Wow!

Quite literally the end all be all of burger joints. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that no other burger place comes close to a Five Guys burger. there's a rap song that eloquently puts it in perspective. "There's levels to this ishh". Five Guys burgers tastes like I made it...on the grill...season the way I like...with my condiments...that I bought from Publix. Hardees, Burger King, McDonalds can implode on their trans fat soy patties. Smash Burger is...meh, alright. (I'll talk about them later) but It isn't Five Guys. and the trick with dumping extra fries all over your food in the bag? sheer genius. everyone wants something for free, even if it just looks that way. I'm seriously considering stock or my own damn franchise. I'd purposely place them next to a McDonalds.

It always interests me how all Five Guys stores differ at every city/location in terms of food, service, décor, etc. Being from Orlando, I have been to every single FG location in the city, so naturally since I was in Jax that weekend for a tournament, I decided on a whim to do the obvious and check out the Five Guys off of Town Center Pkwy after ruling out all other possible dinner choices in a city I rarely visit. It had a decent sized crowd that Saturday night I went, mostly composed of the twentysomething and young family range. The décor and ordering process are the same as in every FG store. But one thing I liked about that particular store I went was the extension of hospitality and customer service from the cashier and especially the food runner. After he called my order number and brought up my food, the food runner graciously thanked me and told me to let him know if there is anything else I need. I know this seems trivial to most others out there, but to me that simple gesture of service and confidence hits it home right there, a trait often lost in the days of fast-casual cuisines and eateries. Big score for you guys @ Five Guys in Jacksonville!

Still one of my favorite fast food burgers & I think I've finally mastered ordering: junior burger & sharing a regular fries is more than enough for me. I think the one notch it has over it's main competition (In-N-Out) is that they do offer bacon. But if In-N-Out continues it's eastward expansion, it will be interesting to see which burger joint comes out on top.

Burgers are big and beefy, fries are plentiful, greasy, and delicious. Only thing I hate about it is how much I spend on a burger, fries, and drink. There should be combos or something!

I've always been a big fan of the Five Guys brand and this location definitely doesn't disappoint. The service here is excellent.... The food is tasty and orders always come out correct.. The restaurant is kept very clean.... Someone is constantly cleaning, which is a huge plus. I really love the bacon burger! And the fries are great as well. I look forward to my next visit to this location.

When craving a burger, Five Guys is always a favourite for us. Fast food that doesn't taste like fast food. Damn good burgers! Of course, they are no better for you than a fast food burger, but at least they taste great and won't break the bank. They have so many toppings to choose from and they don't charge extra for them. Love that! Hey M-Shack, screw you for charging extra for tomato! Haha Fries are really good and a regular is more than enough to feed two grown adults. They have roasted peanuts available for free while you wait for your food. They have the cool Coke Freestyle Machines. Restaurant is always nice and clean. Really friendly employees. You can see the area where they are making the food and it is kept very clean as well. Plenty of seating inside and they also have a lot of covered seating outside. It's at The Town Centre, so it does get pretty busy at times. They keep the line moving quickly though.

Always a sure place to get a good burger. They are definitely in my top 5 of burgers to eat in Jacksonville. I prefer this location b/c of their attention to details and the customer service. My order always comes out in a timely manner and rarely do they mess up. I usually get the cheeseburger with mayo and lettuce, very simple but always taste so darn good. Every now and then when I am really hungry I throw in a cheese dog. I like that they cook the dogs on the grill. Also you got to love the fries that are basically fried twice. I have always loved that method of cooking french fries. You fry them at a lower temp, set them to the side. Then when an order comes in you just drop them back in at regular fryer temp. They come out so damn perfect. I also like when they throw in extra fries when you have a to go order. Great location, great food and great customer service!!!

First time I had ever been to five guys and I believe that for the price it's very overrated. We had one regular bacon cheeseburger that was just ok. Then tried a funny combo between the grilled cheese and burger after a recommendation from a friend. It was kinda gross but that may not be five guys fault. We also ordered a large fry and a drink to share. Just these four items cost us $23 dollars. We were very surprised since we were splitting some of it too. The fries were fresh and the roasted peanuts were a nice touch.

If 5-Guys were not pretending to be the UBER-BURGER joint, it would have gotten more stars from me. They rolled into town yelling about how they were re-writing the burger game book. I waited for the hype to die down, and took my mom and dad when they came to visit recently. Here's what made them awful: 1. When I walk into a "premium" burger joint, and the clerk/fry vat operator tells me that he can't do my burger anything cooler than medium, I know that the joint uses frozen meat, and that they are afraid of an E. coli or Salmonella outbreak due to the fact that they can't guarantee that the meat has remained frozen from the time it left the slaughterhouse until it reached their freezer. You can't be "the best" if you start with questionable crap. 2. When you then charge me a "Premium" price for your (see #1) less than average burger, it becomes clear to me that I could get the same quality of beef for about half the price at McDonalds, and it would likely be prepared better, due to the fact that McDs has protocols in place that keep the clerk/fry vat operator from screwing up the cooking. 3. When customers visit your business, they are there to spend their hard-earned money. It's best not to look like you could give two squats why they are there. 4. The minimalist decoration is ok, but you need to mop the floor and clean the walls every now and then. Restocking napkins/straws is also a good thing to do from time to time, along with emptying trash cans. 5. It's no good when the grease from the meal seeps through its packaging and still has the ability to make the outer bag translucent with grease stains. Truly, one expects fried food to be greasy, but for poop's sake, it's reasonable to expect there to be more food than oil! Want a good premium burger? Head to Outback or Longhorn. Want the same quality as 5-Guys, only presented better? Hit up Wendys, Burger King or McDonald's.

I try to avoid eating hamburgers. Tasting this hamburger was delicious! This was 1 of the best tasting hamburgers I've ever tasted. Well I normally try to eat healthy, I probably will not eat here to often. Ask for a single because their normal burger is to hamburger patties. Cajun fries are delicious as well.

This Five Guys has the friendliest staff of any I've visited in Jax.

Five Guys is outstanding in all respects, really. The restaurant and kitchen are incredibly clean, and you can actually see your burger being made. There is no comparison with other fast food restaurants here. They definitely have the best burger that I've ever tasted; the beef is simply superior to that of other burgers I've had in Jax. This likely has to do with not only their cleanliness but also with the quality of their ingredients. The fries are absolutely amazing as well and are made from freshly cut potatoes. For a delicious, satisfying burger at a fast-food price, come to Five Guys.

I kept hearing people talk about how awesome 5 Guys is. I finally gave it a try and...overrated in an understatement. Good compared to other places in Jacksonville, mind you, but that's not saying much.. Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD but I've had much much better elsewhere. The burger was big and greasy but good flavor. I would like to say that throwing some old bay on a bunch of limp, soggy fries is not what I would call good seasoned French fries. The peanuts I had waiting the 10 minutes in line were stale and the place was an absolute mess. I mean trash on the floors, french fries everywhere, condiments on the chairs, you name it. Sorry, I would much rather drive an hour to Gainesville for a Backyard Burger than just down the street for a 5 Guys. Heck, if you want an eye wateringly great burger go to J. Alexander's in the next shopping center over (although that's hardly fast food).

Fast is good for me when I want to have a quick lunch. Most JAX eateries run in two speeds; Slow & Stop; everything tastes fresh, and meat is good, so are fries. The whole operation is very efficient, McDonald's should train their staff here.

The first time I went to Five Guys I made the mistake of ordering the regular hamburger. This is the kind of place where a "regular" burger has two patties, and is freaking huge! Fortunately its also really fresh and delicious [although I still couldn't finish]. The menu here is tiny, consisting of either burgers or cheese burgers [don't forget regular=double, go for the little unless you are starving to death], hot dogs and fries [cajun style please!]. They also have a large selection of condiments that they'll top your burger with. Nothing too out there, but the addition of A-1 sauce make so much sense its amazing other places don't have it. Its not the kind of place you can eat at all the time [unless you plan in gaining a hundred pounds] but, when you are looking for that old school burger and fry fix, this is the place to go. Hopefully as they expand into a chain of restaurants, they'll keep the quality up. Just to be safe, go try it now. [As in now. Don't waste another second. Go! Leave! Get your delicious burger and eat it!]

5 Guys is a terrific burger joint, and the french fries are excellent. To keep the price (and calorie count) reasonable order the junior burger. Downside - is very loud inside so don't plan on having a quiet conversation.

This resturant has a very limited menu and it is very good. My companion had a junior burger and really enjoyed it. I was told they have a vegetarian hamburger and they do not. However, there were some options for vegetarians: a grilled cheese sandwich or a vegetable sandwich with or without cheese. I opted for the vegetable sandwich and choose grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. It was delicious! My companion noted that it was like a Philly Cheesteak without the meat, and it was. The french fries were really good-especially if you like freshly made fries that are greasy and salty.

This is how fast food should taste. To all the In-And-Out fans of Cali, make sure to stop by its cousin Five Guys when visiting Florida. I am getting hungry just thinking about that warm thick juicy patty, beneath the juicy tomato slice and melted cheese peeking out from beneath the warm buns. And then those cajun fries! Pretty darn good and fresh. Best part is, you tell them what you want on your burger before they make it, so you know it's made fresh. Just be aware that if you come here on your lunch break you'll be waiting for 5-10 minutes for your food. Opportunity cost, I guess. But it makes for an affordable filling meal. Damnit, now I want a burger!

This is seriously one of the best burgers I've had period. Way better than In-N-Out (blasphemy from a Californian, I know) because it's a much more satisfyingly messy burger. I also didn't expect it to be as good as it was considering they only cook their burgers well done and I usually like my meat just short of mooing. I was surprised to find out that it's a major chain on the East Coast and I am now going through bouts of depression since I will only be able to enjoy those warm patties intermittently. I did find the fries underwhelming, but I certainly didn't care with a burger that good.

There's something about greasy burgers and fries that makes me weak in the knees. Sure, I can make a burger at home, but why when I can indulge in the goodness of Five Guys. One of the main draws for me is that they keep the menu simple. Burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and fries. Then there is the plethora of toppings for free to customize your burger. (I, myself, am a little bacon burger fan.) When you order fries, not only do they fill the fry cup up, but they dump a generous portion into the bag as well. My west coast friends compare Five Guys to In-N-Out, which I've had and honestly, I like Five Guys better. Now if only they would expand to breakfast like the one at Dulles Airport did. I'm licking my lips in anticipation.

All really you can say bad about the place is the music is too loud. I read its a way to get you to eat fast, well it works. Food was very good, sure its not health food, but its as good a hamburger as I make at home IMHO. Heck maybe better. The fries are great fresh, a tad too salty to me, but I know to ask for lite salt next time. I eat the regular hamburger, its really too much but I managed. The wife had the little one. regular fires is enough for FOUR folks, get the small. value wise its a little more than most fast food places, but I could go more often if it was closer to us. Place was friendly and clean and fast. turn the frigging music down so two people 1 foot apart can hear each other and you got a 5 star place in the yelp ratings.

Five Guys is a great burger joint to get away from the typical fast food places. It's always busy inside so be prepared for noise, limited seating and peanut shells on the floor. While it may not be for everyone, all that adds to the experience. The fries are killer and the burgers are HUGE. I learned my lesson and now order a Little Cheeseburger which is more than big enough. Another good thing about Five Guys is they offer veggie sandwiches and grilled cheese for those vegetarians in your life. My GF, who's a recent vegetarian convert, loved the grilled taste without the meaty goodness.

Visit Date: 03.13.2010 One of my favorite burger chains, likely my favorite burger chain on the East Coast. Great burgers, wonderful plentiful fries that overflow from the cup into the paper bag, and complimentary shelled peanuts to snack on. Do note that a regular hamburger consists of 2 patties, while a little hamburger consists of 1 patty. And these ain't McDonald's sized patties, they're at least 1/2" thick when cooked.

If you left here hungry, you either are a vegetarian or didn't order fries.
