Epik Burger Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

It is becoming harder and harder to stand out as a burger restaurant in Jacksonville because now there are several places that have great burgers. The burgers at Epik are similar to what you would find at Mshack or BurgerFI close by. Epik is serves fresh, cooked to order ground beef patties. They are locally owned so that is also a plus. They have quite a large selection of burgers, sides and milkshakes on the menu. The restaurant itself is clean, casual and charming. I had the Breakfast Burger which has fried egg, bacon and onions. It was pretty tasty and the egg was cooked perfectly and provided an extra layer of flavor to the burger. I'm all in on the egg on burger bandwagon. My only complaint was I wished there was a little more spice/seasoning on the burger. The Buffalo bacon cheese fries were pretty tasty as well. French fries topped with Cheese sauce, buffalo sauce and Bacon can't be wrong. I can't say this burger joint is EPIC but it definitely is an option in the ever expanding "fancy" burger restaurantsphere.

Took my work friends finally to this lovely hamburger meca. Had the Korean burger and as always it was the bees knees. If you want to try a true gourmet burger, this is the one of the places to go in Jacksonville

I wasn't too impressed with this gourmet burger joint. I ordered the Korean BBQ burger and it lacked flavor to me. Coming from San Diego, I had some high expectations for what they claimed to be kbbq. It was just a simple marinade on some ground beef. Something was just lacking on this burger and it definitely wasn't worth the price. The Parmesan truffle fries were good though.

First visit to EpikBurger and the Huevos Burger jumped out at me after a brief glance at the menu. Chose the 1/3 patty, medium egg and fries. The burger also included sliced jalapeño, fresh guacamole, and pepper jack cheese, which completed the burger perfectly. I will definitely be coming back to try different menu items!

Excellent burgers, great fries! I paid 6.99 for the burger and decided to go big with the buffalo bacon cheese fries! Very mild blue cheese and great buffalo sauce I will be back soon!

Got the 1/4lbs Epikurean Burger with buffalo bacon cheese fries. The burger was awesome. Really loved the flavor of blue cheese and blackberry jam with mushrooms. The fries where great too. Reminded me of buffalo wings but way better. I do feel that the flavor of the burger was worth 15$ but the quantity was only about 8$. The burger was $9.99. I had to drive 10-15 mins to get here. Not sure if the cost was totally worth it when on a lunch budget but the flavor was worth the trip. The fries where filling for 1 serving. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. It was good for my co workers and myself to eat lunch. I only gave it a 4 star just for the price vs. quantity for the burger. Outside of that its a 5 star. Will do this again.

I love this place. Very friendly service, have never had to wait too long after placing my order. They take care not to give you a greasy, sopping mess unlike some other places. There are a lot of options available for the burgers such as adding toppings and switching out buns. I have only had one incident where something was missing on my burger after having already made multiple visits. Whenever we're in town we make a point to visit them at least once. My carnivorous husband likes this place and he's pretty picky. The milkshakes are phenomenal. The fries are nothing to write home about but they are decent (never soggy) , especially the truffle oil ones. Worth a visit if you live in town.

Probably the most unique burger place I've ever been too. Extremely cost efficient. Delicious food. They aren't skimpy on their portions either. Lotsss of options.. Will definitely be a return customer.. Love that they offer doorstep delivery. And they even have a NUTELLA shake.. Yum!!!!!

First time at EP. I had the Epikurean Burger and buffalo bacon cheese fries, very good I will be coming back. One of my coworker had the signature sauce for his fries highly recommend it.

Was craving a burger and needed a fix. Epik Burger came up on my Yelp-dar. I went with the Juevos Burger and an order of the Bacon & Egg fries to share. I have learned that I don't enjoy turkey gravy on fries as much as I thought I would; it approaches too salty for me. The egg & aioli added the right umami, but the slices of bacon were not as enjoyable as one would have hoped; pieces tend to work better in these situation. The burger was served with guac & jack cheese. I opted for the bison patty. Sometimes when you get guacamole on a burger, it's just a little dollop. Not with Epik - there was a nice schmear of guac so that I got a little bit with each bite. While I opted for no jalapeños, that was a mistake. The burger was missing that kick it needed. Not their fault; totally mine on that one. And while I know not everyone loves the trend, I love an egg on my burger to get that extra 'mmmmmmmm' quality. We definitely will be going back to try more of their offerings and make our way through the menu.

Burgers:amazing i want to try them all. Depending on your hunger you can adjust the size. Fries: i got the buffalo loaded fries and i was skeptical but was everything i wanted. Side:fountain coke. However they have a plethora of choices and their menu paid what drink you should have with your burger*love that Sauce: you can select a special sauce for your fries. ..thank you because i am over basic ketchup Ambience: pleasant little spot. Have 3 tvs with 1 being pictures of food from the menu. Do you know what you are getting yourself into. Staff: very pleasant and attentive. Great customer service. They also help each other out and were really team oriented. I don't see that much in workplaces such as a burger spot. Go check them out!

Best selection of vegetarian burgers! They are fully loaded with goodness! You must get the onion rings! LOVE this place!

On the recommendation of Yelp, I sought out Epik Burger not too long ago. The restaurant is small, but clean. And they've got a local feel going on. So that was cool. Maybe I got the wrong burger, or maybe I was having an off night, but I was not overly impressed with my Epik Burger. But my wife and kid were extremely impressed, so their opinion are skewing my review and also my willingness to give it another go sometime. Like I mentioned, I got the Epik Burger and ordered it medium. It came well-done and just lacked flavor. I could have mentioned something, but c'mon who wants to be that guy? Nobody. But for a burger with Pancetta, Brie, and a balsamic mayo I guess I was expecting big bold flavors and all I seemed to taste was ground beef and bread. Good bread, though. My wife got the Greek burger, and for a person who doesn't like burgers, she raved about it. My son got the Buffalo Fried Burger and also was very pleased with his meal. We ordered the Truffle Parmesan Fries and an order of Onion Rings. I was more impressed with the Onion Rings than the fries. There was plenty to share and they had great texture and were quite large. The fries were ok, but probably not something I'd order again. As we left, I got a Southern Banana Pudding milkshake. And I'll give credit where credit is due; it was pretty amazing. Overall it was a very disjointed visit. But I'll head back and give it another try sometime. You know, for consistency sake.

This place is fantastic! I normally get the huevos burger, which is the bomb! You can get it in three different sizes, comes with guacamole, fresh jalapeños and a grilled egg on top! Get the egg over easy and when the yolk breaks over your burger it's pure perfection! We also tried the pouting fries this time. They were delicious! The mushroom gravy was awesome, the cheese curds had just the right amount of squeak and the fries were nicely seasoned.

I didn't expect this place to blow my mind like it did since it's in a strip of small shops. The Red Dragon Burger was out of this world! I'm not usually a fan of pretzel buns because of them being so soggy at previous establishes but Epik's was nice and crisp yet soft and not greasy at all! The burger was topped with some red wine sauce and the burger was cooked with some ale... I didn't expect to be drunk off of it but my stomach was food drunk! They have a good number of local canned brews to choose from and a nice atnosphere. I'm sure this place could hold its own if they were in a solo building even by a mall. Sooo good!! I'll definitely return when I make my way south again.

Comparing to other local burger non chains..Live this place. No peanuts and greasy bags. I like the another and the good. Glad they r close to home. It's a cool little place. You should come. Im a simple burger gal. Plus sweet potato fries. Happy happy.

Good burgers, good service. Dining area is a little small. Tons of choices on the menu, from meats to buns to toppings, as well as some creative burgers and shake flavors. I had a build your own burger with bison patty, Brie and bacon on a wheat bun with lettuce, tomato and onion. Unfortunately the bison is only available in 1/3 lb and larger patties (no 1/4 lb option). I'd like to return to try a couple of their other burger options and the sweet potato fries - just wish it was closer to home/work. A solid choice if you're in the area!

I am always down for a good burger so of course this place was on my list of stops. The good thing is if you don't like burgers they have chicken and tuna burgers. I went with the bbq burger and wife got the chicken parm sandwhich with onion rings. The burger was good and very tasteful but it seemed like the bun was over powering the burger. I went with the 1/4 lb but I think with the 1/3 lb would have been better. The onion rings were good and the batter they used was very light and almost sweet tasting. Having to lay 99 cents for a side of ranch imo was ridiculous. I would like to try the bison burger next time and the truffle fries but wanted to start slow the first time. Also got the cookies and cream milkshake which was good but they added some caramel topping which in my opinion gave it a weird flavor. Will definitely going back to try some of the more exotic stuff

This will be a bit of a weird review... cause I'm not really sure how I feel about this place. After a snake spoiled our plans at a different burger joint, we had been waiting for a good hour, were hungry and needed some meat ASAP! A quick drive over to Epik burger it was, and I wearily browsed the menu quickly and ordered with haste. A+ for having a TON of options to choose from.... It was a bit overwhelming, considering the state of hunger I was in, but decided on the Deep South burger: fried in bacon fat (YUM) with collard greens, bacon and mustard seeds. Ordered medium rare and was nice and juicy that way, (damnit, I didn't notice the bison option until after I placed my order) but the greens were a bit on the sweeter side, and I prefer them a little more savory. I added a dash of hot sauce to combat the sweet, and I will say the mustard seeds were a nice touch. Still don't know how I feel about the bun thou. Currently leaning on not a fan, but I'll have to make another trip to know for sure. I think if I would have selected bison and added some cheese to this burger it would have been pretty good. Oh, we also had the gravy fries... and wasn't real sure what type of gravy to expect but it tasted of the turkey variety... which is my least favorite of the gravies. They were still pretty good.

I ate at Epik Burger last night and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the vegan BBQ burger. It was a homemade veggie burger and had a lot of flavor. It came topped with a slice of vegan cheese, coleslaw, BBQ sauce, an onion ring and on a whole wheat bun. Super messy but so delicious. I also ordered a side of the beer battered onion rings. They were pretty greasy but still yummy nonetheless. The menu has "V" next to what is vegan which is super helpful. Definitely a great variety of burgers and sides for everyone. I will be back very soon!

  • Robb S.

Excellent! I've sampled burgers from "gourmet" burger joints all over the country and this definitely ranks up with the best of them. Service was great from the get-go and my beer was nice and cold. The BBQ burger arrived rather quickly and was cooked to my medium specifications perfectly. Thick and juicy, it was surprisingly delicious and the sweet potato fries complimented it nicely. It's a small place but clean and modern. There's a few TV's on the wall that show sports and news. Obnoxiously loud kids might ruin your experience slightly like it did for my first time, but that's no fault of the restaurant. Overall highly recommended and I'll be back!

The food was amazing! Ordered a old skool burger, pretzel bun, and blue cheese. Came out exactly the way I ordered it. Four cheese fries with the Elvis shake! You must try to Elvis!!

Before I start, I need to say our family was very divided on this trip. My kids rated this a resounding "5 Stars", while I felt it was more like a "3 Star" joint. In an effort to show that we can all get along, I am compromising and rating Epik Burger a 4. How can we have such different views, well let me explain. First, I was paying the bill, so three burgers and three milkshakes tipping the scales at over $37 dollars seemed like a lot. And milkshakes, while very tasty came out in what seemed like 12 oz. cups. So I think you may understand the difference, from my perspective it was value. But Epik does some things fantastic! First they offer great gluten free choices on everything from food to buns to drinks and everything is well marked on the menu. So if you have Celiac disease or just try to limit your Gluten intake, this is your place. Another is the breadth of sides and condiments. I cannot think of a time I have ever walked in a burger restaurant bad spied avocado on the menu, or had an option for a Nutella milkshake. So really good on choices, great on variety, not so good on value.

I've been to Epik for the last time. The food has continually gone downhill since we first came in. I was hopeful they could make a come back, but I won't be spending any more dough here.

I guess i'm a lucky man. I came here for lunch on a Friday. I got in right at 11:00 so I was the first guest that day. I surveyed the menu for a while before deciding on their namesake... The Epik Burger. Ordered it Medium since i don't know these people. I did get the RB version for a small upcharge. I also got the O-rings, Epik fries, and the Elvis milkshake. The burger was overcooked a tad. It was mid-well. Very little pink left in it. The cheese was gooey and the pancetta was tasty. The burger was pretty good! The Fries were ok. Not great. The O-rings were BOMB!!!! Super good O-rings!! The milkshake.. MMMMmmMMMmMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! Banana, pnut butter, bacon?!!! FUNK YEAH!!! That was a damn good shake!! Epik Burger, i'll be back.

  • Astrid G.

Had the Epik BBQ burger on a pretzel bun...so good!! Not a huge fan of the beer battered bacon. I didn't get all the hype over those. The regular fries were good & super salty, how I like them. Milkshakes were ok, but not the best. Would totally go back for that burger though!

  • Thais A.

I've died and gone to burger heaven. But seriously, these burgers are the ish! By far the best burger i've had in a long time. This was the first time I've ever had bison before and it too was super tasty. Much leaner than regular burger meat. Next on my list is going to be the Ahi-Tuna burger. I had one bite and it was to die for. Also try the truffle parm-fries. They were out of this world! And last but not least, you must save room for dessert because you cannot leave here without trying one of their specialty milkshakes. So rich and creamy! Sure, it's a fat kid's dream come true. But I don't regret a single bite and neither will you!

Ok so we thought "epik? Heck yeah!" Disappointed. Sigh. I had a 3 ounce Vietnamese burger- medium for $6. It was basically 3 pieces of meat cooked well done on a baguette with Vietnamese slaw. Not bad taste to the slaw but the rest was pretty boring and cooked wrong. Hubby ordered 6 oz huevos burger -medium with over medium egg- add spicy mayo. Hubby got well done, over easy egg, only flavor was mayo. His was over $8 for the burger. And trying to eat with no plate was messy! The epik fries were average and a little stale. We had high hopes. We wanted to support a locally owned business. Quite honestly, it's a big disappointment.

I LOVE this place!!! Yes, there are a few things they can improve, but the food we ordered were so good and definitely worth the price we paid. So far, we've had: - Epik Burger - Hawaiian Local Burger - Cordon Bleu Chicken Burger - Wild Mushroom Burger with wasabi mayo - Le'Steakhouse burger - Epik Fries - Parmesan truffle fries - IBC cream soda Each item we ordered was delicious!!! We have no complaints about them. If you want your burger cooked at a certain temperature, then you'll need to order the Restaurant size burger, which is cooked to order. The Fast Food size burger comes well done because of the size of the patty. The staff explained this to us when we were trying to decide what we wanted. Aesthetics: Mix of nature and metal with the metal tables that seat 4 people and the 2 glossy wooden picnic tables down the middle of the restaurant. Clean lines and decor. TV plays a slideshow of most, if not all, the food featured on the menu. Their are helpful posters that tell you how to order and the healthy components of their food. Customer Service: They are continuously improving, and I can tell with every visit, so please be kind to the businesses starting up. I honestly think they are getting better :) Thank you, come again ;)

The Cookie n Creme milkshake is still good, even the second round. Very casual atmosphere and the 25 different burgers club is a great way to keep you coming back to try the different varieties of delicious burgers. The huge onions and cheesy dipping sauce is tasty. I'll be back for the other 24 burgers.

If you pass this one by. ...you are not worthy of an amazing burger! The food looked so good I dug into it before snapping a photo and then I just couldn't stop. I had a red dragon burger in a lettuce wrap, the sauce was plentiful and sooo full of flavor. And don't get me started on the four cheese fries, a melty mound of gooey deliciousness. The staff was super friendly, low key and relaxed. It was clean, and I mean really clean. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to mention. ...gluten free options!!! I live 1700 miles away which is a good thing or I'd probably gain 50 lbs quickly from eating there every chance I got!

I hate to dock a place just because I ordered the wrong thing, but three stars will have to do until I come back to try something else. It's a little embarrassing, but I was fooled by the fancy names they used for pickles and bacon. I ordered the epik Burger and it was fairly average. They have lots of of options that sounded great, I just needed to pull the trigger on one of them. You should not go here for ambience. But I'll come back to try a more interesting burger.

  • Jack J.

Grass-Fed Bison burger was pretty good. Unfortunately they took their grass-fed beef burgers off the menu! Wtf? I thought the point was to be an affordable healthy fast service burger joint.. They got rid of the staple meal of their menu.

T'was National Bacon day. No finer day for an outing of discovery and reverence to honored bits of cured beloved swine. I happened upon this curious establishment and decided to partake in its offerings. The menu on one side, was simple in its efficacy. Flip the page, and a melange of choices fall upon your gaze. A dance of palate tempting options atop hearth baked loaves, even gluten free options, for those affected. Giddy, breath bated, I ordered. In observance of the occasion, I quickly chose the Beer Battered Bacon, The Breakfast Burger with extra bacon, and The Hand Spun Vanilla shake. I felt the Beelzebub's scrutiny upon me, but stood steadfast in my selection, patiently awaiting the indulgence due me. Minutes later, my name called, I gave acknowledging nod, and what materialized upon my view, was nothing short of .... LMAO! It was all good. My bacon glazed meal was cooked perfectly, fresh, and tasted great. I recommend this establishment highly, even with the flowery prose for effect.

DELICIOUS! We got the breakfast burger, tropical burger, bacon egg and fries and Nutella shake and we loved it all!

If the sound of a strawberry demi-glaze on a burger sounds a little weird to you.... You're not alone. I was a little anxious ordering something so out of the ordinary on my first journey to Epik Burger. However, the seasonal Summertime Burger was wonderful. The fries as well were great. They were nice and crispy, and the sweet potato fries had just enough sweetness to them. Epik is a great place to grab a burger and a brew with friends. Definitely coming back!

Tried this place on a whim....tried the Peanut butter burger....WOW....really impressive! But the topping of this all, was the White Heat Shake....Cojones...is what it takes to drink this....as it is a milk shake with white chocolate and jalapeno.... We will be returning

Well I have gone in again and this might be the last time. I really have no idea why I can't get what I want out of a burger joint. On this trip I ordered the Epik Burger and that comes with brie cheese and Pancetta and cornichons. I wanted it med rare and it came to me raw. I know how to cook a burger. The onion rings were huge and were cooked pretty good to. The batter is a little thick for me but good. The onions were cooked thru and tender like the should be. They have a full condiment bar when you find it. Nobody is willing to help you here. So good luck and peace out.

  • Amanda A.

Epik Burger, what is your story? You are the only place I have encountered thus far in my gluten free travels with gluten free onion rings. These gluten free onion rings were amazing! As other reviewers state, they do get greasy after sitting there for a while, I imagine that's due to the nature of the flour alternative they use, so no big deal. Enjoy them hot. Fries were ok, cheese sauce was not very...cheesy? But I loved the gluten free options. It actually seemed as if everything was gluten free friendly. The fried buffalo burger was amaaazziiinngg. Nacho burger was good as well. If I lived in Jacksonville, I'd go for the onion rings alone. But I don't. :( So maybe one of y'all can give me the secret of how to make gluten free onion rings?!

Thought my experience would be different than that of the past reviewers...i was wrong. My hawaiian local burger was salty, the meat was too well done, & the bread tasted as though it came from the bag. I love parm truffle fries and theirs came in a bag which was soggy when I got it, it tasted undercooked too. The burgers are dry and not juicy. I ended up not eating my meal and threw away my soggy fries. We left and went to eat elsewhere. Please improve your items or else this place will no longer be standing. Even my friend stated his burger was too dry!

My first expericence with Epik was just a few months after they opened and it was a pretty bad one, so I figured that I'd reserve judgement until I'd given them time to work out the kinks. They've been open for almost 2 years now, I believe, and I just tried them again and I'm still pretty unimpressed. The flavors are there and the idea is excellent, but the execution is lacking. I ordered the Greek burger, medium, and it was completely cold and raw in the center and the bun was so soggy it fell apart. I also ordered onion rings and they were totally undercooked as well. Never in my life have I been served undercooked onion rings, but the batter on the inside of the rings and the onions themselves were so raw I couldn't eat them. The one saving grace was that banana pudding milkshake. That was like heaven in a cup! Since I ordered takeout and couldn't eat most of my burger or any of my rings, I was really glad the shake was so tasty and substantial!

This place was excellent from the design of the place to the friendly service. Food came out fast and was cooked to my liking it's a perfect place to grab lunch after a day on the beach or come in and get some grub after a night before of drinking

This place is close to my house so I went for an early dinner. It reminded me a little of M Shack. I had the "Epik" burger, which was ok. This place wasn't bad, but it's not the first place I would come for a burger. I would only come back because it's close to where I live (and if I didn't feel like driving to either M Shack location)

  • Tresa W.

Finally made it over to Epik Burgers and so glad I did. I had a guac vegan burger, my youngest had the kid's combo (burger) with vanilla shake and my oldest had a chicken bacon burger and four cheese fries.. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Great variety -- something for everyone! We will definitely come back. : ) Come check them out -- DELICIOUS, fresh and fast! Happy Hour M-F from 3-5pm for 25% off milkshakes.

Talk about a good burger. Haven't had a chance to try the gluten free bun yet but know they have it! The Epik burger was super tasty and juicy, I would go back again, hands down.

I went to this restaurant on a DoubleTake Offer coupon and my experience was fantastic. The girl who took my order accepted the coupon right away, without hassle. I ordered the Breakfast Burger. I really wanted bison but I didn't order a burger large enough for them to make my burger with bison, but the beef I had was still great. I had no complaints. I received plenty of food. The restaurant itself was pretty small and crowded inside so be sure to secure your seat, but other than that I'd definitely go back because my burger and sweet potato fries were great! Not to mention the restaurant stresses gluten free if that pertains to you! There are plenty of options to choose from, this restaurant doesn't upset.

  • Kristin S.

We stopped in for a quick lunch this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised! The gluten free options were great, we have a friend with celiac disease and she struggles to find interesting gluten free options and there are so many tasty ones here! I had the peanut butter burger and it was very good, just a hint of peanut in each bite. Both kids had a cheeseburger and actually ate most of it, which was huge for them. We split an order of the Parmesan fries and ranch dipping sauce and enjoyed both. My only complaint is that my burger was a little too pink and I ordered it well done. We will definitely be back!

  • Ray S.

Terrible!!! Went there today (7/17/14 around noon) and got a horrible meal. Soggy onion rings, bland burgers and the worst part was there was a hair in the parmesan truffle fries. We brought it up to their attention and nobody in the kitchen wanted to take responsibility for it and they even had the nerve to insinuate we planted it in there to get a free meal. No management came to speak to us or anything. This place is a joke. We didn't even finish eating and just left that chit there. All this place want is your money, they dont care about the customers. Do yourself a favor and go to MShack for better service and food.

I love this place! Best burger joint in Jax hands down! If your looking for something different even if you want an old school burger this is the place to go. My boyfriend loves their tuna burger with fresh jalapeños. It's a small place, clean and owner is friendly. This place is a must go!

I had my order delivered from Doorstep Delivery. I ordered the "Epicurean" which is a burger topped with Foie Gras, Cornichon, Blackberry Jam, and Truffle oil. It was $15 for the burger, which was the most expensive thing on their menu. It was SOOOOOOOOOO worth it. I ordered the parmesan-truffle fries, which arrived still crispy. The aroma filled my dining room and my fellow diners were so jealous that they hadn't selected the same as I. Easily the best burger I've ever had.

For a Burger Joint this is awesome! Most important for Celiacs the majority of the menu is Gluten-free and very fresh - from Bison to beef and chicken and fish, many option. Nice touch to serve wine and beer too! Only drawback is not much seating.

This was a difficult review for me to write because I wanted to love this place, and I didn't. ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is, in general, very cozy and modern. I quite enjoyed to a good degree. However, the front of house was hardly looked after by any sort of cleaning or management, and many tables are just left dirty. It's highly disappointing. Now IF this was a fast food restaurant, I would NOT be very critical about this, but because this is a "non-chain" opening up their doors to the community as family owned, and you come in to dirty tables, no greeting, no front of house manager of any kind it seemed (perhaps it was just a bad shift) it does not feel like a family run business, it feels like a filthy, typical fast food joint. SERVICE: The service is not very good. They don't speak very clearly over the music, and I'm pretty sure they asked my company if she wanted water, she said no, but didn't ask me if I wanted anything. I wasn't really sure on the tipping etiquette, but since I never really got a refill anyway, I figured it wasn't important. It's a very unclear, uncomfortable system that they have going in the front of house, and it's in desperate need of support. FOOD: It's for a salty palette, which I don't mind. It didn't blow me away. It was good for what it was. I had the Vietnamese Burger. It was cooked to perfection, and had interesting spicy Vietnamese-y flavors (not that I've ever been, but from what I know of it). It was a bit drippy. The fries were good too. However, the burger was on the verge of over salty, someone else may have sent it back. OVERALL: I wouldn't come back here unless there are serious changed made. I think it's seriously pretentious to charge so much to the locals for such high grade, high quality meat, claim to not be "just another chain" but then give such little care to the front of house, serve your food in cheap plastic wrap, cheap plastic forks, can't I even have a tray? I support 100% what they are trying to do, I just think they are doing it badly.

I can't believe it took us so long to notice this place open so close to our house!! We stopped in here for a late dinner and it was awesome. The owner is super nice and ready to answer any questions you have. I had the Greek Burger and it was perfection!! My hubby had the mushroom burger and he loved his as well. We also had to check out their shakes and those were yummy as well! I love that they serve them in a "normal" size so that you don't feel like you have to finish a gallon of ice cream. There are about 10 more burgers on their menu that I need to try so I'm certain we will become regulars here!

Outstanding food. This is a great place to take your family. Also try the shakes.

Epik burger doesn't exactly create an epic burger or an epic experience. The decor is simple but clean and polished. Unfortunately, the counter service is lacking in enthusiasm. For being a new establishment one would think that they would be excited that people would try this place. Well, after perusing the menu, I ordered the Korean BBQ burger with kimchi. The burger looked dry and when I mentioned this, the chef proceeded to tell me that this was not American barbecue sauce but Korean... Ummm...the burger looked AND tasted dry and it was grossly underseasoned. The kimchi also had no seasoning and the helping was very skimpy (see picture). Maybe some tips from Hon Korean Restaurant would be helpful. This was one of the worst burgers that I have ever had and the fries were soft, soggy, unseasoned and I'm actually not sure if they were fully cooked. I would not and can not recommend this place. The food was not good at all. Two stars because I do not feel sick...yet.

YUM. The chicken sandwich is amazing, and I'm told that the burgers match it in tastiness. They have a lot of options for toppings, including mozzarella cheese and bacon (my faves). The sweet potato fries are delicious and the new dipping sauces make them even better! The only thing they need is more seating!

Today was my 4th visit and I am still waiting for the fireworks....The burgers are jucier across the street at Hardees. The onion rings have a good taste but they are sooo greasey if you dont eat them while they are hot you can only taste grease. Today I had the Epickurean burger which is with foie gras and truffled mayo and it was ok for $18.50 for a combo its kind of pricey. If you want to spend $20 and have a phenomenal burger go to Capital Grille...seriously.

The vibe inside Epik burger is fresh and modern but still casual as you must order at the register. We ordered the Epik Burger, Buffalo chicken sandwich and gluten free beer battered onion rings. The onion rings were light and airy with just the right amount of crunch. Onions were not too overpowering. We did not have to wait too long for our sandwiches. The signature epik burger was full of ingredients on top of a well done grassfed beef patty. The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent. Not too spicy with a nice crunch of lettuce on top. Overall, we will be back to epik burger to sample more of their unique burgers and other sandwich combinations many times over.

Rough... That sums it up in one word. This place was highly disappointing. Like other reviewers my burger was dry! I ordered a BLT burger medium rare... What I got was a burger with no lettuce or tomato... How do you make a BLT without the LT?! Medium Rare was told 3 times to the back... I got well done. Beef past medium rare is overcooked in my book. My bacon was chewy, as if it had been sitting for an hour. Only pluses to this place is they do serve gluten free onion rings and buns. The onion rings were great. Too bad my burger took 45 minutes to make... Might have explained the chewy bacon and dry, well done burger. Lets hope the owner fixes all these glaring issues.. Until then I'll stick to Five Guys in a lettuce wrap.

I would've given it 4 stars, but 15 bucks for a burger and fries is a tough pill to swallow. The Mushroom and Swiss burger was good and I loved the parm truffle fries. I tried the Onion Rings before, and they're awesome. Just really hard to justify 15 bucks for a burger and fries.

Went here with the bestie and her mom. I ordered the Philly cheese burger medium and a banana pudding shake. The shake was amazing. The burger was alright. If u like your burgers cooked more than medium, well I wouldn't go. The table shard the o rings and the truffle Parmesan fries. Both were very tasty. I love some good fries. The bestie had the epic burger and her mom had the blt burger. If I go back I would try the blt burger due to it having pancetta, bacon and Brie cheese.

Local, gluten free options, eggs on burgers...these are a few of my favorite things. A few critics really blasted this place when it first opened. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but these people were overly harsh and wrong in my book. Every burger I've eaten here has been good, the sweet potato fries are delicious and the milkshakes are great. This place is local and that's huge for me. Unlike most Jacksonvillians I don't like chain restaurants, so it's nice when a local eatery opens nearby. They even have vegetarian options available(which is delicious), grass fed beef and tuna burgers. If you're looking for a happy meal you know where to go, if your looking for an artisan burger this is the place to eat.

Better than fast food but still fast. Friendly service, but still a few kinks to work out as they gain experience. Fast food burgers are of adequate size. Will try the restaurant burger next time if we are hungry enough. Fries have a nice seasoning to them. Onion rings were light and crispy but could perhaps use just a little bit more seasoning of some kind - still good. Will be back soon.

The food was great, the staff was very kind and helpful(and tolerant of our ornery 2 year old), and the meal was out in a very reasonable time for being made fresh. We will definitely be back!

In the "You get what you pay for" world of today, this was outstanding. I ordered the Old Skool Big Burger (6 oz), cooked rare, regular fries and a Coke. She ordered a Thai Chicken Burger, Sweet Potato fries and Powerade thing to drink. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were outstanding and Coke fizzy and tasted correct (not always a given with fountain drinks). I'll go again. Place was clean at 9 p.m.. This is a welcome change from the fast food restaurant burgers for sure. It's an entirely different animal than the Hardee's or Wendy's right across the street but well worth it in my warped, biased opinion. Met the owner at the end. Seems as if he sincerely cares. I can see this place growing in stature in short order (no pun intended).

Food is good, don't get me wrong. But 17$ for a burger fries and beer. The fries aren't hand cut, they are out of a bag. Almost 5 bucks for a beer. Burger is good but no wow. The must be paying for the semi modern mis matched decor. Also you prices could be better if six to eight hourlys' weren't hanging around.

The bestest burger in the greater Jacksonville area! Quick and friendly service. Great burgers & great fries. Clean place too. Love the bacon cheese Old Skool burger and parmesan truffle fries.

I feel terrible about leaving a negative review but Epik Burger was not "epik" at all. The menu looks great and cheap. The options are endless. Great place for gluten free and vegan friendly. Welcoming atmosphere and staff. You can see the seasoning in the burgers but you can't taste it. I ordered the Hawaiian Locals Burger that had Spam, fried egg, soy sauce and green onions. I don't recall green onions being on it and it was terribly salty. I forgot that you have to order cheese on the burgers if you want it, but that was my fault. I asked that my egg be cooked hard and my burger came out with yellow goo just spewing out of it. Sweet potato fries were good, but that had a little too much salt and pepper on them for my liking. Onions rings were crispy but were so thin that it was greasy and had little taste. I tried the parmesan truffle fries that were served in a paper bag. i understand that they toss them in the bag but when you put hot fries in a paper bag and close it, the steam will seep back into the fries and make them soggy. Couldn't really taste the truffle, which was disappointing for me, since it was my first truffle experience. Also, I am aware that fries are greasy food because they are fried in grease but when you see all that grease accumulate at the bottom of the bag, it's kind of disturbing. Don't know if I'll be back, but I'm a strong supporter of small business, especially food businesses (check my waistline, it'll tell ya) so I'll give them some time to work out the kinks and we'll see.

Went for the 1st time today. Will not go back. The Restaurant burger with Cheddar and bacon with Fries and water $10.95. After a 12 minute wait the food was barely warm. By no means "Epic". Not impressed. Will not last long.

Gluten free heaven. Best gluten free onion rings I have ever had. Burger was awesome and I disagree with the last review. The fries were perfect. Must stop. Not a chain so you will only find them here.

Had high hopes for this place. Great concept...horrible execution. Way too long of a wait for a place that has so many people behind the counter, I know they just opened but it seems that not a single employee has worked in a restaurant before. I think that with some attention to little details this place could become much better. Overall the taste combinations work, only having tried two different burgers This could be premature, but the thing that took the burger down from an 8 to a 3 was the bun. What is called a baguette turned out to be a soft and somewhat stale hoagie roll. The wheat bun is similar to a publix wheat hamburger roll and also somewhat stale. Again the combinations are good but the bun took so much away. The onion rings while greasy as hell were some of the best I have ever had, however when a friend tried them the next day at the restaurant when he went his reaction was that they were the worst he had experienced. I guess this place needs some time to grow into itself but with the chef creating such a unique and eclectic menu he seems to have forgotten to pay equal attention to choosing a good bakery as well as training a staff to be competent.

I felt like there was barely any taste in any of the burgers (except just salt) thay my brothers and sister order...and we all ordered different burgers. Also the fries were soggy. The staff was friendly though!

Had lunch here today and liked it, I came here with an open mind not really expecting all the much after reading all the mixed reviews. But I thought "what the heck" Ruby A. really likes it so I will give it a chance. I walked in and found the seating arraignment very intrusive to the order counter. The counter help was very good, immediately handing me a printed menu, off of which I ordered the large Epik burger cooked medium with an order of Epik fries and a soft drink. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted very good and fresh and the brioche bun was a real nice touch. I got there at about 12noon and left at about 12:45pm, there were about 8 people there when I arrived and maybe 20 when I left. The place seats about 40 inside and outside there are 2 small 2 person tables, but the atmosphere is very sedate.(not very loud) So yes I'm a fan and will be back, next time to try the Ahi Tuna Burger and Onion Rings.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday for lunch and really enjoyed the burgers. Perhaps the previous poor reviews were because they had just opened. All 3 of us liked our burgers and really liked the sweet potato fries. My sons have since gone back again and gave it a thumbs ups again. I will return.

Great awareness of the needs of gluten free diners. All things fried (onion rings, sweet potato fries) are done in a gluten free fryer. They have inventive burger offerings. I only wish they offered an option for lettuce wraps for their burgers.
