Dim Sum Room Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I tried the Dim Sum Room with a few friends hoping to have a new spot to grab Dim Sum on the regular (how can one be expected to wait only once a month for Blue Bamboo?) Well it looks like I'll still be waiting once a month for really diverse dim sum options. We ordered a bunch of plates and once they were all delivered I was left feeling like I was at Taco Bell. What do I mean by that you ask? Well let me tell you. Think about the menu at Taco Bell, does it not seem like they really only have 10 ingredients back there and they're just putting them together in different ways? Like lets take a crunchy taco and put a flour tortilla on the outside and call it something new? Thats how I felt here. There were noodles, boiled shrimp, roast pork, steamed buns, etc. But all the elements just felt like they were just being put together in different ways and being called different things. I mention this because when you're actually eating these things, you can't distinguish whats different about the preparation in your mouth. It just tastes like another roast pork and some sort of carb bun/roll. Or shrimp with some kind of noodle. All that being said, the scallion cakes were good, and the roast pork rolls were quite tasty as well. I would stay away from the shrimp noodles as they were completely bland. I would suggest that they consider taking a look at their menu items and consider the flavors of each dish and ask themselves, "What distinguishes this dish from that dish in flavor?" That would really help in diversifying the dining experience for me instead of feeling like you have 5 dishes that pretty much taste just the same. The service was OK, but the young men working the Dim Sum Room seemed a little out of their element. Perhaps they were new or perhaps they were distracted, either way, the service was just "OK". The man at the front of the restaurant (owner or manager perhaps?) was quite friendly though, asking us how we liked our meal and thanking us for coming in. I thought it was a nice touch and something that is making me consider coming back and giving them another try. Overall, I'm really happy to have a Dim Sum place here in town that's open regularly. Keep working on elevating the dining experience and we could have something really special here! Keep up the hard work!

We met the people from here at the moonbeam bash!! They were so nice and let me tell you the dim sum was awesome. Almost like I was eating dim sum in Chinatown NYC!! I can't wait to go to the actual place on Saturday!!

This has got to be the worst dim sum ever. They tasted like they were made days ago and just warm them up when we ordered. Nothing taste fresh. Don't compare them to NY or California..they don't come close. Next time I rather drive to Orlando.

I went there the day they opened and it got off to a rough start. First thing I noticed is the Dim Sum Room is just that...a room. It is not actually the name of a restaurant at all, only a room set aside for dim sum inside an Asian fusion restaurant which can be a little confusing. After the initial difficulty finding the place, when we were seated we noticed the tables were wet and clammy. This is probably to be expected since the food is served in steamer carts that substantially increase the humidity in the room. Some minor HVAC adjustment would probably correct the situation. Then came our waiter who didn't know what was on the menu and could not identify any of the items on the steamer cart. I know, it sounds like I'm tearing this place apart but I'm not. We were all thinking this place is a real bust but we couldn't have been more wrong. We picked some items off the menu including Shu Mei, Shrimp Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls and Chicken Feet (not for the faint of heart). All of which were excellent! I've eaten in many dim sum restaurants in Washington, San Francisco and New York and I would put this place up against any one of them in a heartbeat. We met the owner, Jean, who came around to see how we were enjoying our meal. She explained to us the trouble she had when the chef left for China after the death of his mother and the difficulty they had in finding the right ingredients to prepare the food properly. Let me tell you, she knows what she is doing! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to people. The food is incredible, the wait staff is polite and attentive and the owner really cares about your dining experience. I want to give them a little time to make the necessary tweaks before going back but I have a feeling this may end up being in my top 10 favorite local restaurants. Without a doubt it's the best Asian food I've had since moving to Jacksonville.

I had been looking for this since I had seen an ad for it in Feb. Well it is finally open. I have got to say it is MUCH better than silver star. They do not have a cart going around the room, so you do not smell the propane gas odor. The sad part about it is that it is in a Restaurant that is less than desirable. The food actually has taste! Room is actually like a party room that would be in a larger restaurant. There isn't really a sign for it. I'm hoping that it will move to a larger location once people get to going and trying this place out. Once you enter Watami you make a right and it's through the wooden door. When ordering you'd get 3 pieces per order. Another suggestion would be if the place had pictures on the menu so the poor waitress doesn't have to run back and forth. I could see a lot of improvements for this place. But I would also suggest it to friends. Just wouldn't suggest Watami LOL . Hoping the taste doesn't go down once it gets more known. on their FB page it says steamer cart but when I went I did not see it, and I personally don't think it would do so well since there isn't a whole lot of room, and if they use propane like the other place mentioned above then a lot of ppl would end up getting nauseous from the fume. All in all the quality is good.

4 stars - because this is the only Dim Sum place in Jax!! All in all, pretty good - just a bit expensive, but is to be expected as I'm sure they have to pay a good salary for their Dim Sum Chef. I would say plan on spending at least $15/head unless you and your friend(s) are not that hungry and you know exactly what you want here vs. wanting to try out an assortment of their dishes. All the other reviews here are pretty accurate. We ordered their beef pan fried noodles, Chinese broccoli, shrimp dumplings, shrimp paste, radish cakes, sticky rice, sesame balls, and custard tarts. All were very good (nearly on par with Orlando or Atlanta Chinatown) except the radish cakes - they were a notch below what we've had in Orlando or Atlanta. Both my wife and I were impressed with the generous amount of beef they gave in our Beef Pan Fried Noodles. They also gave two good-sized pieces of lop cheung (Chinese sausage) in my sticky rice which is a definite rarity (I'm usually lucky to get a small piece everywhere else I've had dim sum)!! I will say I was disappointed to find out they did not have the baked pork buns as I thought I had read here they did, but maybe it was only a one-time thing(?). If you are a seafood lover, their menu is pretty impressive - just be prepared to pay for it. Service could be a little better but their staff is very friendly. Be prepared to wait 5 -10 minutes for a table if you come on a Sunday after church. Since the Dim Sum Room is the only Dim Sum in town, they represent J-ville very well and you can be sure we will definitely be back!!

Good variety of dim sum and reasonably priced, definitely better than the small expensive plates and limited selection at blue bamboo! Keep up the good work and standard of food to attract more customers!!!

I am Asian and know my Dim Sum. This place is the go-to place for Dim Sum in town. We have been here about 3 times in the past 2 months. I can't speak about the buffet they have in the main room though. I go here to get my Dim Sum Fix.

I have to agree with my other yelpers, once you know what you like, the experience here is good. However the service is so subpar that it ruins the rest of the good experience one can have from coming here. The buns were freshly steamed and soft. The pork was enough for the size and the custard buns were yum! They had these pork rolls in a flaky crust that were the most delicious thing I had ever tasted! The coconuts custard was really flavorful too! The dim sum platter special they have is a nice deal an will save you $1 if you order it as a platter versus everything individually. The chicken feet were well flavored and the black bean ribs were good and juicy. This place would have gotten 5 stars if I didn't have to get my own To go containers and find my own napkins and menus. Other than the mediocre service the food was good. The prices do add up so be careful and be ready to spend about $10-15 a person if you like variety.

I have to say I really like me some Dim Sum. I was close to them thinking of what to eat. A bright light went off and I remembered the Moonbeam Bash. The treats there were really good even cold. Well it gets even better with heat. I entered the room and was greeted by my sweet little server girl. Cute as a bugs ear, I know I'm not sure what it means either. But, she was nice and very helpful. I did have to refer back to Allie's review on what to order. Then I asked my server and she said I needed to try some chicken feet. Having seen Anthony Bourdain eating them a few times I was all over it. Well the other plates I ordered turned out really good and they are even a bigger hit at the house. Our grandkids (guest for the week) loved the small morsels. Now they are running around the house yelling I love Dim Sum. I will be making another trip back very soon or when I'm on that side of town again.

What a pleasant surprise to find Dim Sum restaurant in Jacksonville. Ordered the regular Shui Mai, Roast pork, Lo Mein, and wait for it....Chicken feet, my wife's favorite. Although not quite up to Chinese cuisine in Los Angeles or Toronto, it was quite tasty and very palatable. Service was quick, but then again, we were the only ones in the Dim Sum service area. We will definitely be back!

This place is ok. Nothing great. The set up inside ia very confusing. The menu has alot of stuff, but that is not a good thing. The staff is in need of major help. They have a very hard time understanding you when you place your order. You have to use the point and order method. I went with a few friends and outdoor kids and ordered so much food. We ordered everything from meals to dim sum. The dim sum that they do have is ok. Its not the best I have had, but it is quite smaller than other places. They do not have a wide variety of dim sum either. We ordered a few different soups one was egg drop and the server kept bringing us sea food soup. We had to send it back 3 times. The wonton soup was nothing to talk about. Most of the food taste very much like microwaved food that you can get at the store. I do not think we will be going back to this place.

This was a lot of fun! I've never had dim sum before so it was an experience getting this little steamer trays filled with dim sum. I went with three others who had all had authentic dim sum. I let them do most of the ordering since I'd never had it before but I was most impressed with the shrimp chive and rice dim sum. I'm picky about my shrimp but it had good flavor and texture. The service was decent. Make no mistakes he dim sum room is literally a room inside Watami, and Asian buffet. The dim sum is fresh and comes out hot and is very well priced. Definitely a fun night out for a new experience!

Oh my gosh, Our wait was horrible. Two diners and I got my food and was finished before my daughter got her food. She had a side and them main course was even longer wait. Then it was wrong. She ordered a veggie combo and it wasn't veggie, it had two pork wraps. We complained, which took longer and they brought two other items.I liked my general tso, but the prices and the wait time are not acceptable.

Dim Sum Room is inside Watami Buffet restaurant. When going in, just specify you are there for dim sum and the host/hostess will lead you to the side areas where the dim sum carts roam. For Jacksonville, dim sum is still quite rare. There are only a few other establishments that provide full dim sum to a few 'side' dim sum dishes. For me, Dim Sum Room is pretty decent. There are some good dim sum dishes, some ok ones, and some are simply sub-par. Several dishes I've tried that I liked there are the taro dumplings, spare ribs, fried shrimp balls, beef tripes, just to name a few. I've been there half a dozen times and once you get a feel of which dishes are tasty, it's actually quite a nice dim sum experience. I know I'll be back because it is close and pretty decent dim sum eats.

I had the opportunity to sample a few items from Dim Sum Room at the Yelp MoonBeam bash Thursday night so off I go for the real thing. The building itself has housed an all you can eat Sushi and regular Asian buffett items for years. Not the best but not the worst around. The good news Dim Sum Room has moved in and taken over a portion of this space. So heres the drill; if you are going especially for the Dim Sum tell them that before you are seated. There's a room right past the cashier on the right that's your room. I was greeted immideatly with a smile , menu (Complete with pics for the uninitiated) and drink request. I was hopeful someone was going to push a cart my way and open each little pot so I could look at the goodies. No sooner had that popped into my head the cart appears. OMG....I felt transported back to NYC or San Fran but on a much smaller scale. Wonderful offerings, steamy and fragrent were displayed my pleasure. If they don't have something on the cart just ask and it's yours. There is a large selection of baked or steamed buns to choose from. I prefer my buns well toned an tan so I passed. Chicken feet, Shark fin dumplings which for the sake of my karma I could never eat but for the most part nothing too exotic. Puddings and Stickey Rice for something extra sweet. I started with the Shrimp Paste noodles. These are a light fat white noodles wrapped around shrimp and served with a soy like dipping sauce. I spiced mine up with some hot oil . It was as good as I have tasted anywhere. Then on to Scallop dumpling, Siu Mei, Salt and Pepper Calimari, and baby Bok Choy. I wanted to eat more but I had hit the wall. I have to mention that the carts continued to roll around to each table while I was there. This is always a good sign in my mind. The only dish that disappointed was the Salt and Pepper Calamari. The breading held the oil and the Calimari was somewhat tough. I have a group of foodies that I hang with so I will recommend we give this whirl, there are about 12 more items I want to try.

We won't be back. This place has gone steadily downhill since it was changed over from Wasabi. More than half of what we tried on the buffet was cold and obviously should have been replaced with fresh batches quite some time ago. Mentioned it to the waitress and all the cook did was move the bins around. Also mentioned the poor quality when checking out and no discount was offered ... Just a statement that he didn't think they should offer buffet anymore since they are having quality control issues. May have mild food poisoning as well ... Have been pretty ill since about 30 min after leaving. Don't eat here! Your stomach will thank me.

The shrimp in dim sum was half cook. The Ha Cao wrap was not holding shape and the shrimp inside fell out after you pick up. The fried shrimp ball have a smell of it a out to go bad. Our family didn't have a very good experience. The quality of food just not there. The worst Dim Sum experience so far for me.

Dim sum was very good. We went there Sunday afternoon. Seating is in a separate room (separate from the main buffet area). The items were nicely displayed on an English menu and a cart was available for viewing as well. All dishes were authentic. We had sticky rice, spare ribs, pork bun, siu Mai, shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling, lotus bun and peach bun. All were flavorful and hot. My only complaint is being charged for the Jasmine tea (I would have appreciated being told that the tea has a charge). Otherwise it was a great meal. $36 for two of us and we left full! We will be back!

Food was terrible. Dim sum tasted like all frozen. Buffet sauces too sweet. This place not to my taste. I would give it 0 stars except that service was nice and attentive. One server was out of it but other wait staff made up for it. Will not be back.

The Dim Sum Room is located within Watami Fusion buffet. (I posted this same review on the general watami yelp page as well). I had been longing for a good dim sum place in Jax for 2 years. I had been to Silver Star before which was good but had questionable hygiene. I had tried "dim sum Sundays" at Blue Bamboo which was a rip off and very small selection. So when I saw this place I was wary. I am happy to say this place was awesome! They had a huge selection of dim sum (more than 40) and even a section of just vegetable dim sum! Service was good. During the weekends the dim sum is ordered directly off the cart. On weekdays you order off the menu. I went here with my Chinese friends who said it was authentic as well, which is a plus. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone in the mood for good dim sum! Also I've noticed a few bad reviews on this page from people who have only reviewed this restaurant. Makes me wonder if they are competitors or disgruntled ex employees.

I was excited to try this place, but was left a little disappointed afterwards. Everything that we had was decent, the service was good, but the dim sum selection is very slim. I had edamame, chicken feet, chicken with garlic sauce, sesame balls, some roast pork ball?, and fried rice. The chicken feet was interesting, but I would not recommend it. There was no meat on the feet. It was all bone and mostly fat. They had a gamy taste to it and did smell a little odd. I mainly down rated it due to the slim choice in dim sum selection when their supposed to be all about the dim sum. I had went to Hong Kong Cafe a few weeks before I came here and their exceptional dim sum spoiled me. So coming here was a let down compared to Hong Kong Cafe. This place is alright, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to go here.

I was really excited to try this Dim Sum restaurant, since it's hard to come by in Jacksonville. to be fair, the only Dim Sum I've ever had was while on vacation in Hong Kong, so I can't expect the Chinese in Jacksonville to be up to those standards. I was impressed with Dim Sum room. I went with a group so we ordered a bunch of stuff for the table. Most of it was very good. They were out of a couple things we wanted to try, and some of the photos are a bit misleading, but we all enjoyed it. Our favorite dishes were the shrimp dumplings, the chive dumplings (which also have shrimp) and the sticky rice, which comes wrapped in grape leaves (authentic!). I also liked the steamed pork buns, which are a Dim Sum staple. The service was OK; our waitress was nice. The wine we ordered was hot, which was not great. One plus was that the food is REALLY reasonably priced. Our bill (even with 4 wines) was about $50 for a table of 4. I would return with people who have never had Dim Sum or don't know what it is, as I feel it's pretty authentic.

I am what I call a Chinese Food SNOB. I grew up going to Chinatown in NYC and since moving am very picky when it comes to good chinese food. Dim Sum is my FAVORITE type of Chinese food EVER. Since moving to Florida it has been REALLY hard to find good Dim Sum. Silver Star isn't good at all (to us) and their service is SUPER SLOW. Blue Bamboo's monthly event was okay but the dishes are REALLY EXPENSIVE and small. We usually had to go down to Orlando to get dim sum when we had a craving and that isn't very cost effective. Every few months I search "Dim Sum" on yelp and was surprised to find this new restaurant. The first time I tried to find it it was dark and closed (I knew it was closed but was trying to find the location) and I couldn't find it. I tried again during the day and found it with ease. There were several signs in the parking lot and a sign outside the restaurant. When you go in you have to tell them you want dim sum so that they put you in the right section. There was no one there as we were having a late lunch it was about 2:30pm. The service was EXCELLENT. Everything came out hot and without a long wait. We had about 5 dim sum dishes and then a regular noodle dish and a soup dish. Everything was DELICIOUS. I will definitely be coming back MANY MANY TIMES and be bringing my sister to try a crab dish that she loves that they had. The staff was very excellent and they gave us several business cards to spread the word and give to friends and family. If you bring the business cards with you on your next visit you get a free drink and it's even good for alcohol.

Being new to Jacksonville we were anxious to find a good Dim Sum restaurant. Unfortunately not being a large international city there are few choices. We searched and found Dim Sum Room which we were anxious to try. Unfortunately the Dim Sum here is mediocre at best. It wasn't particularly bad but it wasn't particularly good either. After living in Asia for 18 years maybe my taste buds have become de-Americanized. The Dim Sum was bland and lacked in Asian zing. Will we return? Probably given the few choices in Jacksonville to get really good Dim Sum but it wouldn't take much to sway our choice to an alternative location. We will continue to search.

I tried this place when it first open and the foods were super salty and I just assumed that it's because they were new and just needed some improvements. I didn't want to complain much since there are only one other dim sum place in Jacksonville. Anyways, today my friend was craving for roasted duck and I heard that they now serve that and Peking Duck, so we wanted to stop by since we were shopping at the Target close by. We entered the place at the same time with this couple but we were seated before them. Our server just left us to pick a table and left without getting our drinks or anything. About 5 mins. Later the couple already have their foods and we were still sitting there waiting for our server. I had to go to the front desk to let them know that we are ready to order. So there's that, service was super slow and looked like they were half asleep. Our waiter finally got our drinks and pushed the dim sum cart over. We got the chicken feet, pork buns, shu mai, and the shark fin dumpling. Their foods weren't salty anymore, but still below average compared to Silver Star(another dim sum restaurant). We were getting ready to order the Peking Duck.... But then I looked over at my friend's shark fin dumpling and the middle part were still pink. At first I thought it was the shrimp but no, the meat were not cooked all the way. I called the waiter and he said let him call the manager. He ended up calling another waitress that looks like a teenager, she came over and I told her the meat is still raw and all she said was that she'll replace it for a different one, but we rejected it. By that time my friend and I each had one of those dumpling. We have no more appetite to eat after knowing that we just ate some raw pork, so we didn't even bother to order the roast duck. Overall I just wanted to share this bad experience with others who are looking for some dim sum. I will never be back here and I better not get food poisoned by that raw pork or not I am definitely going to call the health department. I barely have any problems when I go out to eat, but this place really need to tighten up, we didn't even get one apology for what was their fault.

I would definitely rate five stars if I knew more about Dim Sum . Being a dim sum novice I don't have any point of reference for the items offered but do know good food . The people are very gracious and make ordering easy for the neophyte . I had the steamed pork buns , the pork shoo Mai (sp) and the sesame balls all were delicious . The only hit on the food was the rice wrapper on the shoo Mai seemed over done and tore away from the filling immediately . It would serve you best to go with a few people , as going by oneself leaves one limited in the variety you can try reasonably . I've been wanting to try Dim Sum for sometime now and am glad the Dim Sum Room is open and I will be back , but now I'll need to find another dim sum restaurant to try so I can compare the overall quality . A definite must .

Be careful. Dim Sum is a small room inside just another Chinese Buffet, nothing special. From the reviews I was expecting a nice meal prepared when I ordered it in small portions to be able to taste different foods. Unfortunately there was no explanation when I was seated. I was excited to get Dim Sum in Jacksonville and I will say that it was good enough on the first visit to go back and try again...I had the seafood dumplings with scallops, fried taro balls, shumai, and barbeque pork buns. All were pretty good except the seafood dumplings they were too "fishy" and I would order maybe just shrimp next time, but I absolutely loved the fried taro! I will say that the serving style is very "big city" like in LA or NY where the waitress and the cart attendant are very pushy and try to get you to take everything! I experienced this in LA and was ready to say NO unless I was sure that I wanted whatever it was lol because if they put it down on the table I was sure I was going to have to pay for it...anyway the waitress was very nice but gave my friend wrong information when she asked if the taro balls had any shrimp in it which was not good since she is allergic! Good thing I cut it open and ate it first...anyway anyone who loves dim sum should go check it out :)

My girlfriend and I use to eat here pretty often, but our last few visits have been horrible. They have " single serving " options on their menu but we had to learn the hard way TWICE that they don't do single servings anymore. Our waitress failed to tell us when we ordered but were happy to hand us our check with the full serving price on there. The only thing the owner had to say was " duck is getting expensive you know.. " I'm not your son/daughter, I'm a paying customer! Our last visit there was even worse! Went out to dinner there with my family and close friends, the owner came out and told us that the chef cooked extra food and asked if we wanted to take it home. My cousin assumed that it was on the house because she didn't mention anything about charging him for it.. When he goes to pay at the register, she added the " extra food " onto his bill without even telling him! What kind of evil act is that! You can run a business when you charge customers hidden fees.. That was the last straw for me and my family. We recommend Chef Chans or Peony's for great food and service with no hidden fees! Management here needs to step up or else they'll be the ones dining at other restaurants! Stay away! No stars! I had to click one just to post this..

Maybe I came on a bad night but there were only two ladies in the dining room and they were both sharing duties as cashier and server. The din sum menu is limited and with the exception of the fried dumplings, everything else tasted horribly! I absolutely love dim sum and completely disappointed...I suppose I will have to travel back to the Chinatown in New York and Hawaii for the real deal :(

Forget the Dim Sum, go and try the Kale salad !!! While this place may seem like a regular Chinese buffet on a cursory glance as you enter, it however, does a good job of assembling a nice South-East Asian/Chinese buffet, a dim sum house and full bar. As you enter, the nice staffs will lead to the seats once you confirm where you are there for a buffet or dim sum. I opted for the former and was not disappointed, well, after taking the average of their food offering because some of them felt like they could have left them from buffet. Their sushi offering definitely deserves a honorable mention, both in varieties which is more than you can try and not to mention the quality, which was better for a buffet. The few items of vegetables on buffet were excellent, especially the kale salad and various fermented items like pickle, kimchi, tomato salad etc. Their chicken pot-sticker was really good, which is very rare for a Chinese buffet these days and so were the Rangoon and egg-roll. The miso soup was alright. The fried rice was OK, however, most of their meat items were not that good. Now, unlike other place, this has as assortment of Filipino and Thai food as well. The Thai food they had was curry and it was really bad, should not have included in the buffet. Their Filipino items like adobo and caldareta weren't of great taste either and pancit was the worst. They did have a good selection of fruits and usual dessert from Chinese buffet. While some of their buffet food were mediocre at best and some downright disgusting, what makes this buffet worthy of visit is its great assortment of sushi, good veggie options, miso soup and if you like you can order a drink from the bar. While I didn't try the dim sum but it looked like worthy of try from the photos. They do have chef special items and sea food and not to mention the Filipino siomai. Overall, Dim Sum room provides a good value for the price of buffet and some more options to customize your food in a nice environment.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Way over priced, no flavor, portions were pathetic (child portions). Forgot to give us the rice and vegetables that went with the main dish, but they did provide a small credit for our inconvenience. We did go back to get the rice, but that only proved to be a more disgusting and further aggregating result. The rice smelt as though it had been sitting ALL DAY!! If you are a regular Jasmine rice consumer then you know what smell I am referring to. This is not our first experience here, first time with this owner, but obviously will be our last. If you check out this site before you decide to dine here, the only thing I will say is to keep on driving. To many other restaurants in the area and if it is Asian you are looking for just keep heading north on Southside Blvd. and turn left on Old Baymeadows Rd. In the Publix plaza there are 2 GREAT Asian restaurants right there.

At least now I know! Everything was cold or undercooked, the sushi was warm and mushy but I should probably expect that at a buffet but dang this food was just bad! They do Chinese and Filipino and I wasn't impressed with any of it. Let's just give a rundown of the issues, the spring rolls were just mush, I wish I had taken a picture of the air browned salmon, the coconut shrimp had no sauce, the generals chicken was cold, the adobo was supper fatty and undercooked. Really craved some dim sum and the closest was on the other side of the city or in Orlando. This place was nearest to our home. I would think it would be good, but today wasn't so much. In the past, when they first opened the dim sum room, it was fantastic, but it steadily became...mediocre. My friend and I ordered 2 chicken feet (4-5 feet per plate), 1 steamed shrimp ball (4) , 1 fried shrimp balls (3), 1 steamed meat ball (3), and 1 shark fin (4). My friend ordered a side of white rice for herself, which came near the end of our meal. That means they forgot it when it was on the paper. And it's funny how 3 different waitresses looked over the paper to make sure we got everything. Altogether, they probably stopped by our table about 20 times. The shark fin was steamed well and good. Different taste and good to try it. Chicken feet was very bland. Taste more like water and no seasoning...did not like it. In the past, it was delicious but not this time. You can taste the difference. Steamed shrimp ball was okay. Fried shrimp balls was smaller than normal. They were usually the size of your fist and not its the size of a ping pong ball... Steamed meatball took the longest to get out. Not sure as to why we have to ask about 5 times that we were missing it when, again, it was on the paper. The taste was very bland and the texture didn't feel like it was real meatballs. The texture felt like a rubbery feeling and wasn't great. Overall, the food was mediocre. Service was a bit sloppy. I think it's best to order from the main menu and buffet than dim sum. Probably would not come back for dim sum anymore...

Stay far, far, far away from this place. The service is non-existent because all they care about is pushing the buffet. We went in an ordered dim sum, because they advertise that they offer it. The first dumpling I bit into was rotten on the inside and I immediately spit it all back out on the table. Do not ever set foot in this restaurant it is disgusting. And by comparison, I'm an Army vet who was served a cooked camel head by a tribe in Iraq. And this place was worse than that.

This place is inside the buffet restaurant, but separate. Just let them know you're there for dimsum/Chinese. It's fairly new and my family brought me here to check it out. Their dim sum is above average and their yeung chow fried rice blew my socks off!! Its one of the few places to get dimsum, period, in Jacksonville. It's also definitely the best dimsum option in jax. It's far for me to come here usually, but I WILL MAKE THE TRIP FOR THAT YEUNG CHOW! Also recommending the fried pork belly ^_^. This place is family owned by a Filipino/Chinese/Caucasian family and very friendly. Great service and food all around. I can't speak for their buffet... I probably won't be trying it anytime soon with the dimsum that close by...

This place was awful! Food had been out forever, the decor isn't as nice as the reviews, and the prices were outrageous. I'm not sure where the other reviewers went, but it certainly wasn't here. Dingy, old, and not delicious in any way. Will certainly never come back.

Yay for more Dim Sum in Jacksonville! I was super excited to head this way after having the Dim Sum Room at Moonbeam Bash, so made it a double date and headed down this past Friday. This was only my 2nd Dim Sum experience.... and I was a little nervous about ordering, since my sis-in-law and her family weren't around to order and explain to me what everything was.... When we walked in, we were asked immediately if we were there for Dim Sum (and we all responded with a resounding YES!) so we were lead to the little dining area to the right. (Yes, the other side is still the buffet, which I discovered on my way to the ladies room.) I was very glad to see a couple of combos offered so we could all try and share a ton of things, and descriptions for each item. Yay! Took the guess work out of ordering, so I let Adam go to it.. (and a nice recommendation via Yelp from Kriss R about the lotus wrapped sticky rice. THANK YOU!) We started with some sweet and sour soup... and let me tell you, this bowl was HUGE!! (And only like 3-4 bucks... what a great deal.) We added a little spice to it and it was fantastic.) We ordered the pork and duck, a few things I wasn't really sure what they were... including some dumplings, the sticky rice, and a sweet sesame ball. The duck was by far my favorite, seasoned perfectly and so juicy it fell off the bone. The pork was pretty good as well, and the sticky rice was AMAZING. There was also a fried shrimp dumpling (of sorts) that was out of this world as well. We washed it all down with quite a few Kirin lights and left super full, but still feeling great. I can not WAIT to bring the sister-in-law when she comes in town to visit. :)

I refuse to give up! The food was delivered piping hot and was absolutely delectable....so, why 4 stars and not 5? My food arrived 30 minutes after I ordered; nearly 45 minutes after I was seated (insert frowny face). I quickly got over the wait when I bit into the fried taro -- it was definitely homemade! I would've loved to have shared some pictures, but I was too hungry for a photo shoot. I'm sure many of you would've left, but everyone around me seemed to be enjoying their meals so much that I had to stay. Plus, where else was I to get dim sum in Jax? It was well worth the wait and I will be visiting again.

We tried the Dim Sum room but the buffet is no slouch either. I ordered Dim Sum like sushi as I figured it was about the same size. WRONG! So long after I was stuffed with excellent food, they continued to bring bowls out. My bad. However I can say that the majority of the Dim Sum was excellent. Some didn't suit my taste as well as others but overall a grand experience and fun for the taste buds.

Went for lunch today with my hubby. This was the worst dim sum I have ever eaten. The steamed dumpling were chewy and the fried dumplings were mushy. The food runner had no clue what to do and we almost got the wrong food multiple times. Clearly they were understaffed even though it wasn't overly busy. I will not be going back.

Be careful. Dim Sum is a small room inside just another Chinese Buffet, nothing special. From the reviews I was expecting a nice meal prepared when I ordered it in small portions to be able to taste different foods. Unfortunately there was no explanation when I was seated. I asked for a menu and was told it was just buffet.

Dim sum is decent here but the service is super slow. I came here for lunch and they weren't super busy. I waited over 35 minutes for my order to come out.

My craving for dim sum made me give this place another try. Boy am I happy that I did. They have definitely tweaked things in the kitchen and with their service. Food was piping hot, quite tasty and surprisingly authentic. I walked out a happy and satisfied customer. I will definitely be back.

The place is under wonderful management! The staff is very friendly, the place is very clean, and the food is always delicious! Lunch special is now $7.99 all you can eat, including Sushi! Love coming here!
