Four stars. Fast service and great variety of flavorful wings. The only reason that dicks doesn't get five stars is because of the size of the wings they are quite small

I read negative reviews about Dick's service but I came with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised. They recommended the Redneck sauce for my wings and they were awesome! Spicy, tangy, rich and flavorful. Win. The only negative thing was the only fries they have are waffle fries and they charge you extra for them. What's that all about? This place is good, though not amazing, but the atmosphere is nice. Worth checking out.

This was the best version of Dick's Wings that I have visited to date and I would like to thank (big) Anthony's review here in Yelp for guiding us here. The service, the food, and the atmosphere worked well for us on this amazing night of lightning and rain. I would implore any buffalo-style wings lover to make a stop there as the meaty wings seem to edge on the hotter side of sanity and go well with the Yuengling on tap.

Dicks Wings always has some pretty tasty wings in my opinion. I usually go for the Carolina Gold but this go round I tried something different. I chose bourbon ones with medium heat. They were pretty good, but then again, bourbon makes everything better. The service was quick but they do need to bus their tables quicker. We ended up at a high top instead of a booth due to dirty tables. It wasn't that busy either, so I am not certain why they were the way they were.

This place was a total disappointment. While in the area for business, two co-workers and I were looking for somewhere to eat on our last night in town. The Jacksonville area has SO many great places to eat, with excellent service. Dick's Wings is NOT one of those places. We should have known as soon as we walked in and one of my buddy's were like "what's that smell"? Not sure what it was, but it was rancid. We decided to come on in and picked a table to seat ourselves. At this point, we guessed we just seat ourselves, because no one employed with Dick's Wings said anything to us or offered to seat us. Once a server finally did come around, I ordered a beer and a water. Never did get the water. We all looked over the menu and made our selections. Here's where things really go awry. I am a big fan of the chicken wing, and my preference is toward the dry rubs. I much prefer dry rubs to my wings being drenched in some kind of sauce. Everyone likes what they like, some love sauce, and some like the dry rubs.... I get that. Well, I ordered Jamaican Jerk dry rub, which sounded great. The server asks, would you like them mild, medium, hot or no heat. Being a first time customer and not knowing how that heat was derived, I said "hot". I just figured they added more or less spice or pepper to supply the heat. The wings came to the table and they were covered in some sort of sauce. They had used the Jamaican jerk dry rub, then coated the wings in hot buffalo sauce, which completely obliterated any other flavor on the wings. Why would you do that? Give you a choice of seasoning, then blast it with hot buffalo sauce. I am not hating on the buffalo sauce really, but no sense putting seasoning on the wings, just use buffalo sauce. The service here was less than stellar and the food not so great either, so I would not recommend Dick's Wings.

Monday is definitely the day to go to Dick's Wings! 50 cents wings , boneless or bone-in. They also have $1.75 yuenglings. Normally I go to the beach blvd location & have always had a good experience. Today was my first time at the atlantic blvd location & I have to say I was less than impressed. We sat at the bar & the bartender wasn't the friendliest of sorts but she got the job done. One thing that seemed a little too casual was she was talking on her cell phone walking around the bar talking loud enough where we could hear the entire conversation. I ordered 10 boneless cajun ranch & my bf ordered 10 boneles california rush. My wings were barely even warm. I almost said something to the bartender but didn't want to have to wait on new ones. The california rush wings were saturated in seasoning. Overall, I was pretty disappointed but for this cheap I guess you can't expect great. The biggest reason for the 2 stars is the location is just gross. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting & made me not even want to eat the food. They definitely need a good cleaning!! I think next time I will stick to the beach blvd location! Also it took forever to get the check from the bartender. I asked for it and she did about 10 other things before bothering to give it to us! Super annoying!

Came in on a Saturday on a whim. Boyfriend said I was off the hook from cooking! Yes! So, we decided on wings and wanted some good wings. We figured an authentic wing place would be best for flavor and value. I came in knowing we were just getting an order of 50 wings different flavors: 20 lemon pepper, 10 Cajun ranch, 15 no heat and 5 margarita ranch. I didn't know how well I would like the margarita ranch (a jalapeno lime hot sauce, ranch dressing, Cajun seasoning and lime pepper blend) and she brought out a sample with a celery stick. Boy, was that good. And how sweet of her to bring out the sample for tasting. :) I ordered a Sweetwater 420 pale ale to help me wait the 15 minutes and was pleased with the hoppy flavor. The decor is very sporty and has a few racecar hoods on the walls, a few flat screen tv's. They have a small arcade with a pool table to help keep patrons occupied, kids from bugging parents (aside from asking for quarters) and people can mingle and kick butt on some games. The staff was very friendly. I was greeted and told to sit where I would like and was even directed to sit at any table even though it was a to-go order. The plain no heat wings were perfect for the children. Cooked to a crispy perfection. My son complained they were a little bit small, but he ate well. The boyfriend loved his lemon pepper wings and was very pleased with their flavor. I preferred the margarita ranch over the Cajun ranch, but everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. I waited a little bit because I had such a large order, but I was out of there within 30 minutes. Cheryl was very friendly and sweet and I appreciated her service.

Went here for a light lunch and got the lunch combo - 5 wings and waffle fries. They have a great selection of flavors and I loved that they have a 'no heat' option on their wings. Hubby went for the 'hot style' and we both loved them. By far the most awesome waffle fries - light and crunchy and totally yum. The only thing I wish they had on the tables was some little wipes for the sticky fingers.

I like the wings here and how they have a big variety of flavors, but when I went earlier this week the service was so slow. It was around lunch time on a Sunday or Monday, and I counted only 3 other tables aside from ours. The bar was full but it had a bartender there. Our server took 15 minutes to give me the cider I ordered and our appetizer came out the same time as our food.

The customer service was great, the drinks were stiff and the food was fresh. My appetizer was the waffle fries with blue cheese, bacon bits and cajuan seasoning! Heaven on a plate! We ordered hot wings, honey mustard wings, boneless and traditional. Everything was great.

I normally get wings to go, so I can't say much about the inside and it's service. But every time I walk in it seems like a good sports bar vibe. Good amount of tv's. The male bartender that usually does the to go orders does a good job and always engages in good conversation while you are waiting. Been eating here for years, wings are good. Right amount of flavor and sauce. They rarely mess up an order, but if they do they fix it immediately.

This Dick's Wings definitely has more of a sports bar feel to it than the locations on the Westside where I've eaten. While I just popped in quick for a to-go order, it feels like a place that you could go on a Sunday to watch football and be able to sit for the duration. As this location is all the way out on Atlantic, it won't usually be an option unless I am on the way to class at Craig Airport. It's good to know if I'm in the area though.

I was so disappointed with Dick's yesterday. We visit every time we are in Jax and the food and service are usually great. This time there were two of us in a restaurant with about 25 other people and only one waitress and one bartender. The wait time was terrible. We sat awkwardly for what seemed like ever before being served, the food took forever, our drinks took forever - overall the service was terrible. We ordered the dick's chips and they were laughable at best - a pile of potato chips covered in jarred nacho cheese with a small container of whole jalapenos, small container of watery salsa, and two little packets of sour cream - that we all had to apply ourselves...and it was $6.99. Come on!!! Strips were okay - a little small. Waffle fries were crisp and hot. I doubt we'll go back.

Food was hot and tasty, the staff was super friendly. Great place to have a beer and a bite to eat!

Actually the Lime-Pepper wings are dare I say even better than the Lemon-Pepper ones.....although if you like more of a grilled smokey flavor I would ask for the Blackened wings because they taste as though they were actually cooked outside on a grill.

Dicks wings jas really gone downhill over the last few years. The service has never been great, and the wings keep on getting smaller and smaller. Dicks wings used to be my favorite wings around, and they have honestly become my least favorite around...........

I'm not an enormous fan of Dick's. It's too loud for me, and the wings are so-so. Not my first choice, but it is ok enough if you are in the area.

The wings are good but service sucks. Everytime my friend order they always get the wrong order. Go to other Dicks wings maybe you will get better service. Go to buffalo wild wings...

The bourbon wings were tasty and the caribbean jerk ones were a little greasy, but still good. The only thing that I can complain about was that we ordered boneless, but we got bones! I guess it was an honest mistake, but for the price we paid it did seem a little pricey!

When I was in the Jacksonville area, I was training with a retired American Airlines captain that was obsessed with this place. Why? Likely, because "Dick's" was the closest restaurant that served alcohol from the airport. Sure, the food was alright (certainly, nothing to rave about). Menu options consist of wings, sandwiches, salads, wraps, hot dogs, and a kid's menu (ex. grilled cheese, quesadillas, etc.). Service is inconsistent... ranging from absolutely horrendous to fantastically excellent (depending on who is serving you, of course). As for my friend, he would probably rate this place 5 stars.

Lunch started well with friendly an attentive servers, as well as, a cold and crisp garden salad starter. Unfortunately the wings were so awful that we could not eat them. Although they were cooked as requested, the sauce was disgusting as it was just oil, slightly rancid oil.
