I ordered the new steak and cheese sandwich to go, which was still fresh and hot when we got back to our lunch spot. Bread was soft and not chewy, and whatever they call their dipping sauce is amazing. Just wish they gave you more if it and maybe even a straw for it. I got the old fashion lemonade as it was hot out today and it hit the spot. Not to tangy but not weak and watered down either. Great new sandwich will get it again next time and ask for extra sauce.

I'm not sure what seems to be the problem here. They can't seem to get either the chilled or warm oatmeal ready in a reasonable time. We showed up about an hour after they opened and neither was ready to be served. Also, it appears that they don't take much pride in how clean their dining area is. There was food and crumbs all over the tables and seats. Either they had a large breakfast rush or they still haven't cleaned since last night. We've been disappointed both times we have some here and I think it will be our last visit.

Came for lunch during break and got the DC chicken salad sandwich! Very delicious. It had pieces of green apples, tiny baby grapes, celery, chicken (of course), walnuts and slices of tomatoes. Well prepared and taste was amazing. There was a good amount of chicken salad, which you don't usually see much at restaurants. It's stuffed so much that some fall off the sides, which does not bother me. I scooped it up with my potato chips :). Any restaurant that has a chicken salad or tuna salad sandwich, I always go for it. Just love it. If you want a pastry, the chocolate bundt was very moist and to die for. :)

My first visit, I had no idea what to expect besides baked goods. I was pleasantly surprised with the combo that included a creamy chicken pasta and a side salad. The girl behind the counter was quite pleasant and explained the various choices available. Unfortunately, I was too full to try the desserts but they had a variety of loafs muffins and cookies that looked delicious. It's a great place to hold a small group meeting not a loud atmosphere. There were electric outlets available and free WiFi.

This is a great location located in Riverside with a very helpful staff. This was my very first time at this location and the food was delicious. I went with their Signature Sandwich Combo choosing the half Spicy Asian Pork sandwich and a cup of their zesty chicken tortilla soup with a bag of chips and pickle spear. This was very flavorful and filling. The pork was tender and the tortilla soup has a little kick and I liked that. I hope they keep that sandwich on the menu. The atmosphere here is cozy and the food is a great value with the many choices and combinations they offer. I've loved and missed Corner Bakery Cafe since I've moved from L.A. I'm so happy they put a location in Riverside now where I can indulge in their fresh sandwiches, salads & soups on those days when I just don't feel like cooking. Oh and definitely leave room for a slice of their Cinnamon Creme Cake. I love that cake and you can always pick up a whole one all wrapped up to go anytime.

Ok this visit started our really bad. I was in line and the young lady re-filling the lemonade I guess saw something flowing in what was in the dispenser. She just reached in without a glove on and plucked whatever it was out. I knew right then that I would not be drinking that stuff. Thou I do normally get lemonade. Ok I looked at their breakfast menu and went with the bacon, egg n cheese Panini. I got my drink and to my surprise Fresca. Talk about a blast from the past. I haven't seen this in years. It was just about the highlight of my meal. When my Panini showed up I did notice it was quite dark. This thing was hurt your teeth overcooked. I mean look at the picture the cheese was melted right into the bread like it was painted on. The crust was really close to uneatable for me. I did crack it open and eat the bacon from within. Now being a good yelper I sat in the parking lot and read some of the reviews and let me say they are a bunch short of stellar. Should have been my first strike. Then the girl with her fingers in the lemonade. Swing and a miss #2. Then to send them packing was the forgotten Panini on the griddle that they served me. See ya, and I will be dragged back into this place before I eat here again.

The Mrs. HAD to stop in here for sweet treats ... I like the scenery and the statue of the baker at the entrance. I'm quite positive we'll be going back!

My boyfriend ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken, the outer edges were very delicious but when he got closer to the center- it was raw! They did fix a new chicken and offered a "sweet treat". The manager came over to our table and explained that the girl in the kitchen is normally not working the grill. I really want to enjoy this spot because I go to the gym across the street. We will try it again to see if our experience is better- here's hoping!

Came here for a late brunch and wanted to try the place located in Riverside. Nicely situated and easily accessible. Outside seating is available. Place was clean and employee were warm friendly and inviting. Ordered the Flatbread wrap with a side of oatmeal. Definitely fulfilling and right on time. I would make sure that my bacon is a little crispy but that's my personal thing. Other than that all was well with my soil and appetite.

3 trips - 3 wrong orders. Today, all 4 of our orders came out wrong. (Potato soup instead of chicken soup, cold chicken instead of extra hot as ordered, a chicken sandwich instead of the chicken salad and soup came with extra cheese when ordered without cheese) Its getting a wide reputation for horrible service and inept management. All we got from the manager is a "sorry". Don't feel bad for its owners. They clearly don't care.

This is literally just a different colored schemed Panera. If you like Panera then go here. It's a nice addition to a neighborhood going through gentrification. You can also go here if you need to go to the Fresh Market. Service is meh and food is good with knowing it's not made in house.

Brand new, looked promising. Not that great, overpriced. The avocado breakfast sandwich had 3 slivers of avocado. I laughed out loud when I lifted the top to see where they were cause I couldn't taste it. The photo of the sandwich looked far different than the reality. No reason to ever return. Service spotty, coffee okay.

The Asian bbq pork sandwich was AMAzing! Went back a few other times to try something different and it was OK. I prefer Panera over them. I will return if I am in the area. Just, meh.

The last time I came here, I actually spoke to the manager about the quality of the food. Evidently I forgot about that and went back today. The servers are wonderful. Everyone's super nice. The baked goods are yummy however the food & the watery coffee has left a lot to be desired and I won't return. (Except for a chocolate chip cookie or two occasionally).

Had breakfast for the first time here today. Will not be back. The food was cold and honestly I couldve had better at Denny's or Waffle House. Too expensive for the low quality food they are serving. Next time I will drive a little further and go to The Fox and spend the same amount for a high quality food.

This corner bakery just opened about a week ago so they have so many workers, and are always eager to help and are really attentive. I had a sugar cookie which was tasty and the club panini and it was great the only knock on it was the bread was a bit greasy but nonetheless I enjoyed it !!

I was so excited to hear that they were opening in Jax but was disappointed as they don't seem as good as I remember them back in Cali but perhaps I'm just remembering wrong. This is basically a Panera but somehow feels less comfy and they have less choices on the menu. It's always cold in there when I go. And there aren't many power plugs (although Panera has this problem too). And they don't have a rewards card. However, the plus side is it's never packed so you can always find a table. Their lemon pound cake is super yummy.

The food is great, I'm just upset that both times I've been here when I ordered online, they've messed up my order. The first time I ordered 30+ minutes before arriving and one of my orders included a bread bowl which they ran out of and I had to wait during my lunch break while they made new ones. The second time, which I'm here right now, they messed up my order again. They didn't make the right dish, and when the cashier was letting the cook know, he had a horrible attitude. I had to wait so long that I only got ten minutes for my lunch. I really do enjoy the food here but they need a lot of work when it comes to customer service and speed. I always order online 30 minutes to an hour before hand and specify my pick up time for a reason.

This is my first time here & I'm pleased. The sandwich was super good & my wife loved hers too. We also had pastries & they're on point. They gave a good selection of coffees & teas. The restaurant is cleaned & staff are cool.

First/Last time there: The Steak and Cheese sandwich: Stale bread and the cheese on the sandwich looked like a lighter colored version of the nacho cheese sauce you get at sporting events. My husband had the Cuban Sandwich and said it was less than average. Not worth the money - looking forward to Zoe's Kitchen opening up which will blow away this place.

Great new location here in Riverside. The atmosphere is wonderful - very comfortable and inviting. The staff are very helpful and kind. The food is great! I have been for breakfast and enjoyed an amazing oatmeal. For lunch, I always love the Asian Salad. Great job!

Good salad but soup not so good. That's not why they got 2 stars... Service was terrible. Dirty dishes left on tables, got our order wrong, seat and floor dirty with plenty of staff. No one busing tables and kitchen clueless when asked questions. No one asked how it was, no one seemed happy to be working. Miserable place - won't be back unless they get everyone properly trained.

Got the salad trio. Portions are very small and food was just ok. My friend had the Cuban Press and the Baked Potato soup and he said his was great. I will be going back to try other things but not the salad trio.

3rd try and 3rd time not satisfied. Got the spinach salad, fruit is old and too much dressing. White bean soup was just ok. Bread is good.

When this location opened, we enjoyed coming here, and did so regularly (4-5 times each week). Then, we started receiving food that was simply inedible, ie.. burnt chicken pomodori, cobb salad -literally swimming in dressing, oily chocolate cupcakes, breakfast sandwich bread so thin it cannot support the little bit of egg and cheese they put on it and it has to be eaten with a fork, plus they seldom have the Swiss yogurt because someone always "forgets to make it" or "didn't buy bananas" (nevermind that they share a shopping center with Fresh Market!). The food is far too expensive to be so poor. They also have developed a staffing problem (high turnover and employees with little to no customer service skills). By skills, I mean employees who don't greet customers as they approach, fail to acknowledge customers waiting in line for service, and seldom say "thank you." After all the problems detailed above, we took a hiatus from Corner Bakery, life is too short for this kind of BS, and we do have a Panera in San Marco that is much closer to home. So, a few months passed, and today, we decided to pop in and see if any improvements had been made (we thoroughly enjoyed Corner Bakery when they first opened). The food was okay, although the chicken pomodori panini was so hard, I had to bite it with my molars but, once I cracked into it, the inside was tasty -of course now I've got some tiny sores on the roof of my mouth from being stabbed by this hard bread but, that's OK. My real problem today was with the soda machine being out of diet coke. When we brought this to the attention of one of the employees, she told us she'd get someone to change it. We heard her ask one of the male employees to change it and he said it was too heavy for him. Despite counting 8 employees in the front part of the store, not one changed that diet coke out during our 45 minute lunch. When we were finished and ready to leave, I approached the counter and asked for the manager. I was told Terrell was busy interviewing someone. We've wasted enough time today on Corner Bakery so I don't plan to call the restaurant but elected to write this review instead. They've run out of chances with us, and we won't ever return.

The service is terrible. It took them over 40 minutes to make a sandwich and panini for my pregnant wife and I. That was even with checking on the order twice during the time. I would recommend you drive past this place!

The food sucks, it's plain and cold by the time you get it. Breakfast always sucks and pancakes are never done all the way. Terrel, "the manager" is an asshole who does nothing but eat lemon bars all day. They work the employees beyond realistic limits. They tend to have one person who is barely trained to work all FOH positions. Also don't expect a normal size of avocado on anything.

When this location first opened, it was exciting to have a healthy soup and salad restaurant in Riverside. However, the last two times I have gone, they messed up my order.
