Worst Chipotle I've ever been to. Love the chain and their food, but this one is consistently bad. The line is always long, even at "off" hours, because the employees are not doing their jobs. They don't pay attention and get the order wrong and have to redo it. The woman who is supposed to be working the register is usually in the back, and she doesn't get anyone to cover it. They are frequently out of items and only sometimes post a notice on the door - otherwise, you have to wait until you get to the front of the line to find out there's no guac. Why a manager can't run to Publix and buy some avocados, I don't know. Fountain drinks are often not working or empty. Steak is tough, barbacoa is fatty, chicken has been undercooked sometimes. I don't have these problems at any other location. I will go out of my way when I want Chipotle instead of going to this location.

The best Chipotle in Jacksonville. We love the burrito bowls. It's packed when you walk in for reason. We have to call in our order because the lines are so long. The one at river city sucks but the Town Center use good seasoning on their food. Love it!!!

I don't normally write a review but I felt this was important. This is my 4th visit to this location. I absolutely love chipotle, and it is extremely disappointing there isn't more chipotles in the Jacksonville area. This location is hands down the most poorly ran chipotle I have ever been too. There is always a 30 to 45 minute line. In fact I have walked in and walked out of this location two other times because I didn't have time to wait that long. I have been to crazy busy chipotles before that are efficient and hustle and get you through a 20+ person line in 10 mins. If you need an example of a well run chipotle check out the chipotle in Cary, NC. This line here at the town center always moves at a snail's pace. Also every time I am here, the trash is over flowing, and today I walked into the bathroom before I was about to wait in line for 30 mins and it was dirty and didn't have toilet paper in the women's restroom. The food is great, no complaints there. Just wished they were more efficient. Chipotle corporate if you are reading this please open a store at Jacksonville Beach!!!

Slowest chipotle and always busy. Shitty customer service. I would do negative stars if I could.

Awesome burritos and bowls! Fresh ingredients served at the right temp. Always busy so you know they're good.

I'm a big fan of Chipotle, but this location lacks a little something. Maybe it is just because I have to battle the dreaded St John's TC traffic to get here?? We really need more Chipotles in Jax...two is just pathetic. This location always seems to be super busy no matter when I come. On my most recent visit the flavor seemed a little off? Maybe it was just a bad day. I'm not a fan of their guac at all, it tastes like a cup of onions. Yuck.

Clean fresh fast Mexican ?? Yes it can be done and done right by Chipotle . First time visiting this chain and I was pleasantly surprised . I had the pork taco . The pork is pulled much like a pulled pork bbq sandwich which can be dry but not here Chipotle did it right moist and delish . Ill be back again .

I love Chipotle, but this location was TERRIBLE. I ordered the burrito bowl with the barbacoa which was good but the girl did not give me enough rice and to make matters worst I specifically shouted (it was jammed pack and you couldn't hear anything) I wanted mild salsa and everything else except sour cream. The girl put every salsa on there (WTF????) and no lettuce before I could say anything she shoved me over to the next person to check me out. It was ridiculously busy and the cashier didn't care either. The final burrito bowl was a little spoon of rice and huge globs of spicy salsa and guacamole without lettuce. DISGUSTING. Never coming back to this location again because of the attitude and the way they didn't care. Ugh!

The ingredients are always fresh and service excellent. I look forward to eating here whenever I get the chance.

Over 30 people waiting in line and 5 people sitting down!!! There is no reason a place should be this slow! To wait for over 45 minutes at an off hour is unacceptable.

  • Erin C.

Very dirty. Trash was overflowing. Many empty tables but all were dirty had to ASK to get someone to clean one. Trash all over floor. Yuck. Not coming back.

Good food, however the wait time is extremely long. Doesn't make sense to have to wait 30+ minutes each time!!!

When I come to visit family in Jacksonville, Chipotle always comes to mind as a great meal option until we actually get there. This place is PACKED; the line at night easily gets to 20 individuals, yet seating for these individuals indoors is sparse. Two visits ago the syrup in the soda machines ran out and we were informed they didn't have any additional syrup. On our most recent occasion, the trash cans were overflowing throughout the restaurant and the restrooms were out of soap and toilet paper (how are the employees washing their hands, let alone customers)? If anyone is contemplating becoming a franchise owner, open up an additional Chipotle in Jacksonville; by simply having a hygienic store with beverages, you'll be well on your way to having customers wrapped around your store too!

I'm in love with burritos right now. So. In. Love. I could go on a rant but I'll make it quick. this location has fresh ingredients, nice service, and I'm not one for a line so during peak hours I call in and it's ready (hot and fresh) right when I get there. Also, they are more than willing to give me extra beans and salsa when I ask...no attitude. Also, I can't say enough about a "big company" that responds to people who contact them with suggestions (I'd love a gluten free tortilla shell) and the fact that they focus on whole foods and a quality product at a decent price is awesome. (Yea, getting into the parking lot is a bit of a hassle but for burrito goodness, I can't say I'm all that bothered.)

  • Brian H.

I'm sorry folks but I'm not as crazy about this place as some people. The line is way too long and way too slow. I feel like I'm in the line at a soup kitchen. And the food is mediocre at best. The rice is dry and pasty. The chicken is dry and tasted burnt. And once you get your food, good luck finding a seat! The chips and guacamole were good only because of the guac... The chips were stale! Oh... And parking sucks at this place too.

As far as fast good goes, this is one of my favorites. I would come here more often if I lived closer. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. I love the tacos (hard and soft) the kid meals are also great, you can choose 2 sides which is a nice variety. The chips are also an extra bonus!

I go there often but Second time this happens..went there with a friend at 9:20ish at night and they were out of veges, mild sauce, amd salad. They said they are not making any more. Unacceptable. It is not as if we went there 5 mins before closing. There were still a lot of people behind us in lone to get food and i felt bad got them also. I am not the one to leave a bad review if i have a bad experience once. But now the second time same thing, thats a no no.

Disclaimer: I'm a huge fan of Chipotle, as such the rating refers to the specific location rather than the chain as a whole. This particular location is my local location and I have such a love-hate relationship with it. The Town Center area is, as we all know, a complete traffic nightmare and that kind of acts as an external variable of some sort to the experience of dining in the St. Johns Town Center location. Tucked next to a Mattress First and in front of an extremely busy Power Center with anchors such as Best Buy and Toys-R-Us, driving to this location and dodging the pedestrian traffic can be a bit hectic and stressful. To say that this location gets packed is an understatement. This is probably one of the most packed Chipotle locations I've been in, ranks up there with some of the DC locations I used to frequent. Hopefully one of these days another Southside location will open, ideally by The Avenues. The staff here is for the most part friendly, if not a bit rushed - which is understandable. I have been dining here frequently since I moved here and have developed the "frequent customer relationship" with a few employees. Some of them even know my order by heart, which is kind of embarrassing and a testament to how pathetically addicted I am to Chipotle. The food, is on-par with other locations however I find it interesting that the cheese here is shredded a bit differently (more fine/thin). The steak also has a bit of a different flavor, I think it's cooked a bit more compared to the other Jacksonville locations (San Jose and Blanding). These are just things that I've noticed that others will easily overlook. Seating here is usually an issue during the lunch rush, if it's raining outside I would recommend ordering "to-go." I've found that the battle of finding a seat and trying to make a hint to the table of patrons that are finished eating, but still chatting it up, is not worth the anxiety from the anticipation of devouring the goodness waiting in the palm of your hand. 4/5

As fast food goes Chipotle rocks! The ingredients are fresh and they take great effort in having flavor to spice up your summer palate. A simple menu is a treasure. Recently went in on a Monday evening at 6pm with seventeen people in front of me in line. Was it worth they wait? Yes, of course the food is outstanding. If your in a rush try using the iPhone app for pre order and you can cut in line to save 10 minutes. I usually get the Pork Carnitas as the chicken and streak are too heavy on the spices. Try the soft sell taco as an alternative to the standard burrito. I'm a sucker for well made Guacamole. They peel dozens of avocados and add kicking seasoning. As a side note take a look at the B/W photos that adorn this location and they usually play up tempo music too.

I could not believe how long it took to get through the line when I went to get some food to take home at 8:00pm. When I pulled up I saw there was a line. I knew it would be at least 15 minutes in line. Boy was I wrong. I walked in at 8:03pm and walked out at 8:52pm. The first person that took our order was quiet and too quick. I have been to Chipotle a lot and even I had difficulty understanding what she was asking me. The next person ignored us for a couple minutes and then a different male worker walked up to add the toppings. When I got to the cashier she could only ask me "Is that it?" I then said no that I had a burrito too, then she said "Is that it?" I said No, I wanted Chips too. Then she shockingly asked me "Is that it?" I wanted a drink but decided against having to hear her ask me if that was it again. Has she heard of up-selling or even saying sorry for the crazy wait. I walked out saying I was DONE with this location. I will NEVER go back again.

This place is hit or miss.. Some days they pack my chicken bowl other days they hold back.. Another problem with this place is it stays pack ALL day long.. The line usually be wrapped around inside the restaurant but it does move quickly

I absolutely love Chipotle, but this location is missing some sort of spark. Perhaps it's the sad amount of seating available inside, the monstrous lines that never seem to move fast enough, or the employees' refusal to interact with you if it has nothing to do with your order, but I tend to avoid this location as much as possible. I do, however, get the occasional Chipotle craving. While the whole ordering experience seems impersonal in comparison to other Chipotles I've been to (I'm sure they're overwhelmed by the volume of customers), the food is consistently great and its quality unarguably above average. The ingredients are fresh and, at least in my experience, the employees never skimp. Food-wise, I'd say the only con is that the chips have been dry and overseasoned every time I've ordered them.

Like any other Chipotle the food was great. The only problem I had was all of the tables in the place were dirty. You should not have to clean off the tables yourself before you sit dow to eat.

One of my weekday lunch frequents. Chipotle gets it right, every time. On a nice day, the patio is a great place to enjoy your burrito, bowl or salad. To that point, the menu is wonderfully simple, and although this place gets super-crowded daily, the staff is quite efficient and will get you in and out in line and enjoying a delightful "mexican-ish" meal in no time. I usually opt for a steak bowl with black beans and some of the best spicy salsa I've had in Jacksonville. Their guacamole is always fresh and perfectly seasoned (though, in my opinion slightly overpriced). In fact, the quality of all of their food is always on-point: never have I encountered a single browned leaf of lettuce or any otherwise questionable ingredients. Well done, Chipotle. You're A-Ok in my book.

  • Lindsay S.

Great food, very fast - delicious and majority organic products. My only complaint is that especially lunchtime during the week ; the staff you can tell, are very stressed, and they tend to skimp out on the meat. Since there is only ONE chipotle in the Jacksonville / Beaches area (this one at the town center) it gets packed. I would like to see the staff please not skimp out on the portions. Use a BIG scoop ! We travel far to come to Chipotle so at least feed us with a big scoop of the portions!

  • David H.

Typical Chipotle food served hot and very friendly service. They offered to give me beans and onions/peppers on my burrito at no extra charge. These guys seem to enjoy working there and it shows. You can eat outside if the weather is good.

Burrito bowl...what's not to love?!? Brown Rice, hold the beans, peppers and onions ( I always ask for extras and they haven't refused yet) barbacoa, tomato salsa, hold the cheese and sour cream, lots of lettuce. Also, get the guacamole. It's healthy, fresh, and delicious. You won't be disappointed! This is a great place for someone with allergies because it is completely customizable. A+!

Not the greatest chipotle around. I've had better at other locations in other cities. This one is just tasteless. They also don't know how to wrap correctly because I've been here on several occasions and my burrito's fall apart all the time! One time I was here, I noticed that the tortilla is falling apart, and I told them about it. I was hoping for a response like, "oh I'll just change the tortilla and re-wrap it". But NO!!!! "Oh, I'll just wrap another tortilla around it so it doesn't fall apart..." REALLY??? that just makes it even more bland!!! Get it together, and maybe i'll give it more stars.. For now, I will stick to Moe's...

Call me crazy but I definitely don't get the hype behind Chipotle. I think the food is good but I don't understand why everyone thinks its so amazing. I've ordered several different things here from salads, burrito bowls, tacos and even burritos. I definitely prefer a salad or burrito bowl with their seasoned chicken. Now their chips on the other hand are so good, I love the hint of lime, what a nice touch. I just wish they had a better salsa, its too chunky and not in the good way, its like a mix of chopped veggies. One more thing I wish they would do is add more variety in toppings like Moe's has (fresh cilantro, fresh jalapeno, olives, cucumber,etc.). Overall its good but not The Best Thing I Ever Ate, it gets the job done in a healthy fresh way which is always a plus.

Similar to Qdoba, but with a very simple menu, even more limited than Qdoba, with 4-5 items. You can get a burrito, fajita burrito (burrito with sauteed peppers and onions instead of beans), taco (hard or soft), or taco salad. You then choose what you want in your entree (chicken, steak, carnita - seasoned pork, barbacoa - seasoned beef, or vegetarian). Aside from this, you can get guacamole for $1.80. And they sell beer here, too. Your entree is made right in front of your face so no funny business here. If you take out the meat, then 5 stars! Fresh everything. Now unfortunately, the meat was subpar. I ordered the Burrito carnita style. The sauce infused into it was great, but the meat itself? I was spitting out chunks of fattyness every other bite. Err.. how gross! Minus one star. Service wasn't too great either. The dude behind the counter was high or something. He must have been high because it took me 3 tries to get his attention. (Cue Carlos Mencia: DUH DUH DUH!) Minus another star. Also, seating is really limited, so make sure to come here at an off hour or just get your food to-go. On the plus side, it was a really cheap eat. Just $6.35 for the burrito.

    (2)
  • Matthew H.

Love the food, but the location is way too small There is an overwhelming stress level as people in line jockey for potential seating The seats you are covering are cold and uncomfortable, likely to get you out faster so the machine can keep milling out burrito eaters. I really love the taste but will not ever go here between 11 am and 2 pm

    (3)
  • Joseph G.

Chipotle has the best burritos and is a great fast casual place. Its flavors and ingredients are amazing. I would give it 5 stars if the people working there were a bit less systematic and showed a bit of care and maybe put a bit more meat and less beans. I know its overwhelming when their line is to the door but thats what they get for having delicious and quality tasting food. The steak meat is perfect. Ten times better than Moe's. Overall its way better than Moe's or Qdoba or any other of its type.

    (4)
  • Paul G.

Unimpressed. I'm not a fan of the burrito that looks like it's delicious because it's huge only to find out that it's huge because they put an overlarge helping of beans and rice inside the frakking thing. I like beans and rice. ON THE SIDE, done Spanish style. Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe's--all exactly alike. Moist tortillas filled with a truckload of rice and beans with scant meat and cheese. As an added bonus, there is no flavor distinguishable from rice. Even the beans taste like rice. "Oh, but Chipotle is different," people have said to me, "they put seasoning in their rice." So Chipotle's burritos taste like flavored rice. I guess that sets them apart from the pack! :-/ Want my advice on a good sit-down burrito joint? Tijuana Flats.

  • Matias H.

Its an okay place. The burritos are tasty and the selection is pretty simple. Seating arrangement is lousy. Small circular bar stools make you feel like your butt is way too big (I'm pretty lean so I know mine is not). Also, unlike Qudoba or Moe's, you have to pay for the corn chips but they are pretty good.

i eat chipotle atleast 3 times a week. i love this place. My friend introduced me to chipotle. i thought chipotle was a sweet, spicy bbq spot kuz thats what it is; a dried jalapeno spice, but instead a burito place. The price is reasonable. i usually buy 2 orders of buritos with guacamole for $17. yes, you make ur own burito so u can chose not to put beans in it if you dont do so well with it. oyah, the guacamole is extra $ and also the steak. One burito is good enough because it is huge!! U could share it! This is an american version of burito so if ur looking for a real burito spot u probably not gonna like this place. The only bad thing is that the place is small and so it gets really crowded! if you come here after 7 pm u should be ok. I recommend you to order it online so all you have to do is pick it up n avoid the long line. AND YESS!!! they have an APP of this so you can locate and order your nearest chipotle at your convience. Oyeah!!!! If you've seen the South Park episode of "dead celebrities" you would know about chipotlaway by billy mays. And No, i did not, nor chipotle make u crap blood. lol, but You will be taking # 2 in pain if u eat this. i hope Im not just the only one who has this problem. hehe..

Chipotle's food is just great in general. The sweet tea is solid if you like it sweet but not too sweet. I'm a big fan of rice, and their rice is pretty fresh and tasty. Service is good, no complaints. I love this place!

Near the Town Center mall, Chipotle is an appealing choice for a quick bite to eat after some exhaustive shopping. Unlike some other comparable Mexican chains, the menu was easy to read and simple enough to follow. The menu offers a choice between burritos, tacos, salads (sans fried tortilla shell) or a bowl (a burrito without the wrap). Choices include chicken, steak, carnitas (beef), barbacoa (beef), and vegetarian. The overall experience was good. Staff was friendly and helpful, the design was refreshing and contemporary. Disappointments include the limited vegetarian choices, which consists of choosing between black or pinto beans and reading the nutrition information. Finding the nutrition information on the Website was next to impossible and I was able to locate it only after conducting an Internet search: chipotle.com/ChipotleNut… I ordered the vegetarian black bean burrito with rice, fajita peppers, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole at an incredible 1085 calories, excluding the chips and salsa. This is half the calorie requirements for the typical male and two-thirds the calorie needs for the average female. My advise, skip the tortilla at a whopping 290 calories; choose the salad or the bowl. Limit cheese or sour cream if choosing a meat filling to limit artery-clogging saturated fat. Load up on the salsas and tomatoes full of antioxidant and taste and don't skimp out on the guac, full of heart healthy monounsaturated fat. Overall, a good place to eat - limit portions or share (the burritos are huge) and have a good time! .

Originally a favorite of mine when I was traveling to California but haven't found the same love here in Florida. Almost seems that there is too much seasoning in the meat (something I usually wouldn't complain about but it's overpowering to the tastebuds and the stomach) I'll try again but it's just not the same anymore.

By far the best place to eat on the face of this earth. If you can handle the catastrophic bowel movement that is sure to transpire after eating a Chipotle burrito, then I encourage you to try one. Make sure you're not wearing a good pair of underwear while consuming a Chipotle burrito as you're almost guaranteed to get it blood stained. Note: Chipotle will not cover the costs of replacing your underwear. Chipotle puts all other burrito joints to shame. If you can't handle the taste of a fat, juicy, all organic burrito then I suggest you visit Mo's or Taco Bell and stop wasting Chipotle's time.

  • Patrick G.

Pretty good chipotle. This location is new so that's a plus. The minuses are that it being new you'll encounter a lot of chipotle "amateurs" who don't know how to order and the staff isn't as quick as at making the burritos yet. Both of these issues will get better with time. The steak here was seasoned bery well.

  • Stephanie W.

3 stars because they are so so slow always like this. 400 no one sitting down and line is always always wrapped around the building doesn't matter when you come and if you order online never ready when you get there. Only one I've had this problem at. Changed to 1 star 40 minute wait to order. Won't be coming back to this location again. Foods not that good.

    (1)
  • Allie C.

Great food but horrible staff. This is the only location that you typically have to wait 20+ minutes before even getting up to the counter to pay. I understand that the Town Center is a busy area, especially around lunch and dinner, but the staff at this location needs to gain a sense of urgency. I've never gone somewhere they the staff works as slow as they do here. It's discouraging when I want to go get Chipotle for lunch and dinner, knowing it'll take approximately 30-40 minutes to get my food! Also, on more than one occasion the staff member making my food, does not put the correct ingredients in my burrito bowl. Just last night I asked for the fajita veggies on my to go order (I checked the receipt and they were on there) and they didn't add them! I didn't even bother to complain because I was so hungry and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for them to fix it!

Foods always good, but they need a separate register for call ahead orders. Stood at the register with 4 other people all waiting to pick up there order for over 10 mins before the cashier even glanced in our direction.

  • Samantha P.

It's Chipotle. Chipotle is great. My review is not of the company or the food. Nor is it a review of the quality of service. Which is generally quite good. But not once have I come into this location and not stood in line for at least 15 minutes. I work in the Town Center. Actually have two jobs here. Needless to say I'm here every day. And whether I'm actually coming in or just driving past the line is almost always out the door, (not literally, it usually wraps around the store, but past the door for sure.) I cannot count the number of times I've parked and then left, or even walked in, stood in line and then gave up and left to go elsewhere. Even Yelped nearby Mexican. Because if I call ahead to a nice Mexican restaurant, in the 10 min it takes to get home, I can just pick it up and in less time have a great Mexican feast and already be on Baymeadows. Please Town Center, Chipotle, make a second location and take our damn money.

This is definitely a favorite hang out spot for me and my friends. Apparently a lot of other people think so also, as the line is usually wrapped around the building. I get the Steak bowl pretty much every time. I tried some of the Sofritas today (tofu) and I will definitely be coming back and eating that when I do the Daniel's Fast. It's a great and tasty vegan option.

  • Jen S.

The wait is always at least 20-30 minutes, no matter what time you go. The employees don't seem to care to move faster than a snail. They seem to always get my order wrong when I order online and pick up in the store. My most recent experience was for my birthday dinner. There were 7 adults and one child and 6 of the adults had their orders wrong and they gave us a kids meal that was completely different than what we order. I love Chipotle, but this location is terrible.

    (1)
  • Jessica P.

It breaks my heart to give any Chipotle location a two star rating, but this location has got to be the worst that I've been to. I've never had an order ready on time, they are the slowest location that I think is possible to exist, and their portions are pathetic compared to what you would normally get at a Chipotle. I get an hour lunch and work at the town center and have learned that it's nearly impossible for me to order there, get my food, and eat while driving back all within the hour time frame. I have had quicker service at PF Changs.... which is a full service restaurant. These burritos are also by a landslide the smallest I've ever gotten. It used to be that I had a difficult time eating half of a burrito, but the ones here I can demolish in a matter of minutes. Thank god for being able to order from the app, it's just unfortunate that they seem to think here that because somebody orders from the app and doesn't have it made in front of them that they can skimp on the amount of stuff they put in the burrito for you.

  • Valerie W.

Of course I love chipotle.. But not this one! I wish there was more around. Like other people have mentioned, there is ALWAYS a long line. Two stars because it's chipotle and I always love chipotle, but I hardly ever get to satisfy this craving bc of the dreaded line. Even when you call ahead, half the time its not ready or they don't know what you're taking about. It's happened a few times.

    (2)
  • D C.

We love Chipotle and eat at one several times a month. This particular location is the worst we've ever been to. There are some major quality issues here. The staff is not friendly, service is slow, portion sizes are the smallest we have ever received, and the dining and drink areas are not kept clean. Every table was dirty, there was trash on the floor, and the trash cans were overflowing. As I said, we love Chipotle and have also been to this location several times. It has consistently been bad. We won't be going to this one again.

The only reason I gave two stars was because I love the food. The staff here is terrible, absolutely rude and are slow. Waited in like for 30 minutes and when there is something on the dish you're about to put my food in and I ask for another I don't need an eye roll and attitude. I won't be coming back to this one ever again.

I absolutely love chipotle. I love their food and I love the vision they have. But this is the slowest chipotle I have ever been to. I literally have to plan my day around if I want to eat there. There's always a 30-35 minute wait in line. I have been to chipotle's all over the country and none of them made people wait that long in line. On a bad day at other locations you'd wait 5 minutes. They just need to step up their game and the staff needs to stop socializing so much when they're working.

Way too small. Busiest mall within 2 hrs, University right around the corner and a corporate crowd like crazy. Be ready to wait 30-45 min to eat, you might be eating in your car or outside cause all the seats will be taken. Be patient and enjoy!! Oh and they do have rice without cilantro and they LOVE to serve it!!!!!

I love Chipotle! I am a chipotle fanatic, but the one in the town center lacks something. i go here because it is close, but lately when I have gone the workers are rude and not helpful. They are also skimpy on the servings. If it wasn't Chipotle they would probably have 2 stars from me.

I used to get take-out from Chipotle in Virginia no less than 1-2 times per week and was always completely satisfied. I placed my first ever order at this location via the Chipotle iPhone app and was told my pick-up time would be 12pm. Great! I went ahead to the store and arrived a few minutes early to find my food was already ready. Even better! Except it wasn't. My food was completely cold! Completely disappointed. After reading about (and seeing) how slow this location is, I will probably have to just say no to Chipotle. That makes me sad.

Favorite fast food place for sure! I don't normally like guacamole but I order it every time here, it's that good! I've never had a bad burrito here!

Chipotle needs no introduction from me as their stores seem to be very apparent and trendy in the minds of their large customer base, which cuts across all bounds. Far better in it terms of quality than the majority of other fast or "quick-serve" restaurants, this Chipotle is no exception as it always seems to be killing the numbers that restaurant owners and managers look at in performance terms. I like the simple menu and the workers that make quick work of what I want to eat. They take my order with a smile and make good suggestions in the few moments I happen to be there. It feels to me like the workers put themselves in my momentary position to order: good waiters do the same thing in the steps of service. Nothing cheesy, no gimmicks, no bs.... I am looking forward to returning to this location and my only hesitation is when the line goes out the door.

Chipotle is a place that I don't visit often, this is because the food is mediocre at best and definitely overpriced. I only went there today (October 31st) because they offer a discount to 3 dollars on burritos if you ordered in costume. The place was about as crowded as a nightclub on the last Friday of college. (That's quite crowded) The cooks were in costume and my sister got served by Darth Vader in an Obi-Wan Kenobi costume. They were so funny about it too. The service granted this place its third star.

This Chipotle has both positive and negative aspects. I will go for the positives first and then the bad stuff. First of all, the staff are friendly and fast. Even at 9:50 pm, when I went, the staff didn't act like, "How dare I step into a restaurant right before closing!" The staff were open and willing to serve me ten minutes before closing time. This location finally has carnitas, I am so happy to report! The food is well-prepped, seasoned, and fresh. The guac is delicious- I usually order two servings! Ok, now onto the negative stuff. The line was not clean. Even when they are busy, they should still wipe spills so the customer does not have to look at dried up carnitas from 50 customers ago. Also, I know they were just closing but I have been to this location at several different times during the day and it is always the same. TAKE OUT THE TRASH! Seriously, it doesn't take that long. I wanted to do it for them it was so bad. To throw away my straw wrapper I had to place it on the very top of trash that was falling over the top of the can. I also saw employees standing around. If there's time to lean, there's time to clean-haha. Having worked in restaurants for years, I realize that the management must be poor. It is the manager's responsibility to make rounds and look at the restaurant from the customer's point-of-view. If something isn't up to par- they should clean it themselves or ask for help. Will I go back? Uh duh, it's Chipotle. Will I always hope that the place is cleaner and there's not Mt. Trashmore in each corner- yes.

I'll start by saying that I am not in love with any chipotle. But I needed a quick and healthy lunch so I decided to come here. The line was pretty long but i thought hey, it's quick food so this line should be no problem. Wrong. It took me 20 minutes to get to the ordering part. There was only three people behind the counter, it's a Saturday, why aren't there more workers?? Oh and their ac wasn't working so they had three ac swamp coolers that cooled the place down to a pleasant 98 degrees. Now I'm sweating and hungry and my lunch hour is dwindling down. My favorite part was the 9 cubes of chicken she put on my salad. Normally they do a full scoop, I'd say I got 1/4 of a scoop of that. Turns out they are running low on chicken. So I ask the next girl if she will add some steak and she did, without charge. And that's the only reason I added a star. The restaurant itself was filthy. Dirty tables everywhere and the soda bar was beyond gross. Normally I get iced tea but the container didn't look safe to drink from so I passed. I will say the food was actually pretty good. But I will not be back here. Ever.

Slowest, worst chipotle. Good food, awful workers. They really don't care how slow they are at this restaurant. Usually chipotle is the best - this one is terrible. My online order was cold, small and wrong. 10 people bunched around the register... What a mess. Update: after reading so many other reviews like mine, I'm really surprised the management hasn't bothered to respond to any of these negative reviews or improve the service at this particular restaurant. It's a big disappointment.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service today, placed an online order and couldn't pick it up till 2:15 according to the web, I arrived at 2:00 food is sitting waiting. Get home food is cold... Portions are way off I feel I've been short handed with the lack of food provided. I assume they ignore the special instructions as I have barely any corn salsa when I asked for an extra scoop. This place use to be one of my favorite quick places to stop for food. Now I'm stuck with infant portion cold food I have to reheat...

This location at the Town Center I would assume is probably the busiest in the city for them but the store is still in great shape. I've been in long lines before, but that is just part of going there. A weekday at lunch time you will probably find a line. But the employees I find are courteous and efficient and I've never had any reason to complain. Because of the high traffic in this store they are always making new food and that means everything you get is usually REALLY fresh. As for seating I am not such a fan. I love the industrial look with the metal and all, but I am not a fan of the benches or chairs as they are just hard wood with straight backs that are just uncomfortable. Pair that with so many people around it's just not my choice to eat there and therefore I take it home and enjoy in there. Great tip: the website/app is great so you can walk right up to the register and pay for your food and go.

Slowest service award! Also always out of ingredients and they have an unfriendly staff.

Ordered online last night, barely had any meat on it. I paid extra for steak, I would like a reasonable amount!

I love the freshness of the menu items at Chipotle. The chicken taco salad is my personal favorite with fresh grilled chicken breast and fajita vegetables. They do a great guacamole too, but of course that is extra. It would be nice if chips and salsa were included, but pretty much everything here is ala carte. Still everything is relatively inexpensive and service is always friendly. Chipoltle is obviously a popular weekday place to dine. The lunch lines get really long, but if you order ahead online you can skip the line and have everything waiting for you when you arrive.

I love chicken salad at Chipotle. The lines are always long but the food for the money is worth it. The honey chipotle dressing is to die for. I could seriously put it on all of my food. It's a good value for your money. I just wish they didn't charge extra from guacamole.

Absolute worst Chipotle I've ever been to and worse experience too. I love me some Chipotle. The only problem is that there are only 3 in Jacksonville and the closest to me happens to be in the Towne Centre. I try to avoid it as much as possible due to the crowds and traffic. My craving for Chipotle won and I headed down to this place. The line was to the door and although they had a full staff working, the line crawled. After about 30 to 35 mins in line, I finally get to the front and they're out of chicken. Ok, no biggie, the main reason I came here was for the chips and salsa and just to have a bowl so I went with steak. Oh, look, they're out of chips. No sign at the door, no notification, just food shortages. The worst part wasn't that they were out of some of their staples, but it was their absolute apathy. When I went to pay here was the gist of the conversation: Cashier: You want a drink? Me: No, I was actually wanting chips and salsa. Cashier: Ok, no drink. that's $9.05. *receipt handed to me and goes to look at the next item in his queue* That was it. No "yea, we were slammed at lunch and didn't expect that, " or "sorry, not all of our supplies made it in," just nothing. Had any tiny iota of customer service taken place, or attempt to make me feel valued, I would have been fine with the outages.

I'm giving this place two stars for the food. The service and speed of the staff is bringing this place down. I use to love to come to chipotle but now it's a battle even thinking about the long line and amount of time I'm going to spend in the building just to get my food to take it home to eat! My visit to chipotle tonight may be my last visit. The area by the trash cans smelled of vomit. The floor was wet so maybe they just mopped the floor but if that's the case they need to change the mop water asap. My stomach has been sensitive so I came to chipotle for some simple clean food but I didn't expect to have to smell vomit while picking up my food. It looks like they have new staff so maybe they are in training but management needs to make some changes if they expect this place to survive. The town center is thriving with food places and I'm sure people are going to start choosing other options since this location is slipping downhill.

I absolutely love chipotle and it takes a lot for a restaurant to make me angry, but this specific chipotle has really gone downhill in the past couple months. My online order has been wrong three out of the four times I've ordered it recently, and today was the last straw when I showed up to pick up my online order and there were 10 people at the register who had ordered over an hour and a half ago and their orders were not ready either. The staff and management aren't very apologetic or accommodating either. That's the last time I will go to the town center location, hopefully the Hodges one does better!

OKAY food. But REALLY great chips and guacamole. I had the steak burrito and it wasn't amazing. But the steak quesadilla is good.

Don't get me wrong. They're nice. They work hard. But a fully staffed Chipotle shouldn't be backed up PAST the door from open to close. This is NOT because Chipotle is popular. Chipotle is popular everywhere. This store in particular is always backed up because most of the line staff doesn't have any sense of urgency. They move slow even for a casual dining experience. Some of the staff even leaves the line to do other things, mid rush. (I've worked in the food service industry, I know this a no-no.) The people in line don't live to be hungry. Most of us have to get our food and go. We can't wait in line 30-40 minutes every time we want chipotle. If the management is reading this, have your crew shape up. Take a look at not just my review but plenty of others here. Your store needs tightening up already, plain and simple.

I love chipotle, I think the company is wonderful and cares about their customers, definitely one of the top food chains out there. That being said... This chipotle is probably 1) the slowest chipotle I've ever been to and 2) one of the most unprepared chipotles I've ever been to. I tried to make an order tonight, AN HOUR AND A HALF before they close, and they were out of guac and were not going to make more. I understand maybe half an hour before you close but an hour and a half before you close is ridiculous. And they usually hide a bunch for themselves in the beer fridge. Every time I come here it seems that they are out of something (besides Carnijtas, that is understandable). Despite this reoccurring annoyance, I still go. I just think that management needs to work on these complaints. Either that or we need more chipotles around here so this one doesn't have to handle this much business and they can provide the chipotle service the company is known for. I'm a pretty understanding, easy going person and even I get annoyed with this location. Update: Boyfriend went in to pick up our orders, apparently they have been out of guacamole since 5 pm today. Tried to purchase guacamole in beer fridge but was told "those aren't for sale". After he came home with the food I opened my burrito bowl and I was missing all of my toppings besides the meat and the rice. I called in and politely explained the situation and my recent frustrations with chipotle. The man who answered the phone was extremely nice and offered to give me free lunch tomorrow. I appreciate the amazing service after the fact but I'm slightly annoyed.

The Town Center location is awful! The service is extremely slow & not friendly. When I tried to call in my order at 8:00 on a Wednesday I was told it would be 45 min. NOTHING about this place is fast. The person who answered the phone could not have cared less when I thank him but declined the called in order. I will gladly take my business elsewhere where they actually care about the quality of service they provide. Chipotle is now permanently off of our family list of places to eat.

Filthy toilets. We had to wait for about 20 minutes and then didn't even get a smile. Disappointed in this restaurant having been a fan for years. Now it's just a factory line. Tables are not being cleaned either... Why bother?

Good location....very clean, good food. And plenty of it! This place is always so crowed. I love the carnitas! My favorite. I used to get the burritos, but I found Chipotle is really good for low carb dieters. I choose the "salad bowl" and they give you extra lettuce to make it more salady. Try one of the margaritas... They make them potent! I,love the chips and guacamole, but don't do them on the diet.

The only reason this lication got 2 stars is because the food was excellent. I gave it such a low rating because this is the second time I went to the store, not at peak eating hours, and had to wait. It's expected that you will wait 15-20 minutes in a Chipotle, the lines are usually long and not because the employees are slow but because people just keep coming in. I never have a problem waiting. Today I waited 50 minutes. I know, crazy. Who waits that long for "fast food"? I just felt that after 20 minutes I might as well just wait for the deliciousness that is at the end of the line. Well, I get to the counter and they are out of the fajitas and the guacamole!!!!! What? These are the 2 things I really want! I have had to wait for meat to finish cooking, but never ever have I been told they were out of something, and I move around every 4-8 weeks for school and have been to a lot of stores. DO NOT go to this location!!! There is a great sushi place walking distance from this store. Go there instead. Or just go anywhere else! The employees are slow as molasses and they don't know how to keep up. Not worth a 50 minute wait during non-peak hours for no fajitas or guacamole.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
