My son calls the pizza "upside down pizza." Hehehe. I really love the pizza here. It isn't drowning in grease like other pizza places nearby, AND I prefer it over the famous original UNO's pizzeria in Chicago, where the whole upside-down Chicago pizza thing started. The crust at Chicago Pizza has just the right amount of crunch, which is important when supporting all that tomato sauce and cheese on top. Someone said the tomato sauce at CP was too sweet, but I didn't notice a difference. When I came in with my son there were several big games on and it was a Loud and Rowdy place. So, if you want to head to a sports bar, this would be a great place. Otherwise, come in during a quiet non-game day. They have lower prices on regular lunch days, but the deep dish pizza takes a while to cook. And in general, their prices are much steeper than usual pizza places. Less grease = higher prices? Oh well, at least it tastes good.

Worst experience ever! I have gone into this particular place dozens of times. This time will definitely be my last time. We walk and it takes more than 3 minutes to be sat. The waitress got our drinks, and while taking our order, I asked if a particular item was available for lunch, and I got a no, so I ordered something else, only to find out while everyone else at my table was ordering, that it was available. We had basically just gotten our drinks when the waitress brought us refills because "she was too busy and didn't want to forget". I personally do not like watered down coke. When the food came, one plate didn't come out and the excuse was that the mushrooms had just arrived on the truck and the pizza was still in the oven. She could have warned us that they were out of mushrooms. When most of us were half way through eating, the pizza finally came. The waitress just set it down and walked away without a word. It came out wrong. The waitress acted like nothing was wrong and then got mad at us when we asked what it was. She suggested that she would get a manager and took the pizza. She came back about 3 minutes later and said that the manager was taking the pizza off the bill and that another one was on the way. So, the manager didn't even bother to come out and talk to us. The waitress also never bother to ask if we wanted the pizza to be reordered and took it upon herself to have another one come out, when most of us were already done eating. Service after all this was terrible. She didn't check on us again, and gave us a dirty look when she set the check down. I will make sure to tell people I know downtown not to go there for lunch anymore.

This was a terrible experience. It took the waitress too long to come and get our order and then way too long to get the food. We actually had to ask her to bring our salads before the pizza and she seemed a bit surprised. I ordered a sald w/o tomatoes and it had them. They had run out of balsamic dressing. Really? It was lunch! We ordered a large veggie pizza, no mushrooms. We got a small veggie pizza WITH mushrooms. The waitress never refilled our drinks. On top of the poor service, the food was not good. We will not be back.

Stopped in here twice on our weekend trip to Jacksonville. The first time was on our initial pub crawl of Jacksonville Landing. These guys know how to pour a proper Guinness, cascade and all, unlike Fionn MacCool's at the other end of this complex. The second time was Sunday night to watch NFL Sunday Night Football and grab some grub after a long day of drinking. I had the Chicken Pasta with Pesto Alfredo sauce. All I remember is, it wasn't a culinary epiphany, nor was it a gastrointestinal disaster.

Had the white pizza it was ok. Would I go back maybe to try something else. Good atmosphere loved all the TV's you want updates on sports this is the place to go.

We went here because it had all the NFL games on individual TVs and Hooters had a long line. We waited a really long time at the front for someone to seat us, even though there were a number of empty tables. The waitress was just rude. Chicken pizza was super greasy. Should have waited at Hooters.

An acquaintance suggested meeting here because I was craving pizza. I would have been better off at Domino's, Papa John's, or Pizza Hut. I really would give 1.5 stars for service. We sat at the bar, and there were only 6 other customers in the restaurant. So, it wasn't hard for the waitress to provide decent service, although she did rarely come around after I said I was done drinking (but my friend was not). We ordered the Meat Lover's pan crust pizza, and it was very bad. The sauce was more of a solid than an emulsion. Instead of being bright red, the sauce was more of a dull red. There were no chunks or pieces of tomatoes, indicating the sauce is probably from a can or jar. The crust was worse than a Red Baron's frozen pizza, and there was no taste. The pizza was $20, which is on par with pricing in Chicago for a deep dish pizza, but this pizza was definitely not like Chicago. I think this place should be ashamed to even claim they're serving Chicago pizza. There's Chicago pizza and there's deep dish pizza; this place serves the latter, but definitely not the former. I realize I've been to Chicago and tried several deep dish pizzas there, so I shouldn't judge with the same point of view. However, it's false advertising when you claim you're serving Chicago Pizza, and it tastes like garbage. I only had one slice. The deli sandwich I ate prior to this meal was more flavorful. I let my acquaintance take the leftovers home, but had he not been there, I would've just thrown the pizza away. It's not worth it.

Went there Saturday night. Ordered to go because of 45 minute wait. Ordered from menu ON THEIR WINDOW. It says, "Add any two toppings for $1 extra". However, they argued me down that it meant $1 each!! Then my friend ordered the Calzone. The menu ON THEIR WINDOW says, "Calzones, any two stuffings $7.99". They said no, that didn't mean two stuffings included!! Of course they couldn't find a manager. Then when I received my "think crust pizza, it wasn't thin crust at all!! I will NEVER go back!!

ROAD WORRIERS (11/4/12) In Jacksonville for the Lions v Jaguars game November 4, I walked down to the Jacksonville Landing to get an evening bite and was craving a slice of pizza. Being from the mid-west AND eating pizza there. Chicago-style pizza is a different animal, thicker with sauce on top. This joint was a poor-man's version. As I was being seated I immediately see a plus: TELEVISIONS -- Televisions everywhere! Mounted on the walls, above most tables - what every sports bar needs. No need to fight over the game of the week, what's mine is mine. I ask the hostess if I could get my television changed to the USC v Oregon game. She shook her head and ignored me, not telling my server of my request. SERVICE -- It took a few minutes to be acknowledge me (see a common theme in my reviews) in a mostly empty restaurant. When he stops by, in his trendy Russell Westbrook frames and I ask again, "Can I have the channel on this television (directly above my left shoulder) changed to the USC v Oregon game?" He say okay and ignores me as well. I ask AGAIN and at that point begin to watch the game across the room on a tiny screen where I cannot see the player numbers that well. THANKS!?! There was a table of five Southerners behind me and they were pounding the drinks. Making toasts and keeping things going. As I wondered if it was really me that was causing these bad service experience -- my mom taught me to smile and say thank you (in a me-first, thankless world) so that shouldn't be an issue. Am I getting 'the treatment'? Brothers know what that means and the entire staff was Black so that shouldn't be an issue. As I pondered whether it was my appearance, deodorant or my hair-follicle challenge, I hear load voices behind me and the youngest drinker (mid-thirties) demanding to see the manager. "This guy [referring to my same waiter] hasn't asked if we needed anything, cleaned our table or has even been around. I don't want to TALK TO HIM!" Check, check and triple check. My service was so bad, it consisted of him placed the food and the getting ghost. My first interaction with him was when the manager (dressed in Texas Longhorns attire, forty-something Black guy) and I got his attention for a second sugar-aide, er lemonade. He disappears again. Much later (to my dismay) he brings the check and never comes back to collect. I could've walked out without paying but that would generate bad karma so I left my bills under the receipt and walked out -- NO ONE LOOKED UP OR SAID ANYTHING! FOOD SERVICE - Pizza warm, not hot. I ordered the personal pan pizza with a salad. You get lots of fresh salad and IF the circle was more 'pizza-hot' I'd recommend the food. Unfortunately, the service staff was horrific. I assume this young waiter hates his job and his attitude towards the job or the manager isn't leading his staff (Willie Diegel, Restaurant Stakeout-style) which is often a death-knell for most establishments. CONCLUSION - Bad business, bad management and really bad service. Walking back to the hotel I pass other more crowded establishments (Hooters, etc) and it is no wonder they are busier, this place sucks.

This will definitely be my last time coming here. The food was decent but the service was terrible. We sat for 10 minutes before they took a drink order, waited 45 minutes for food. Then to top it all off they "forgot" to cook one of the pizzas that were ordered. The bathrooms really needed attention. All of the trash cans in the stalls were overflowing and only one stall had tissue. So I would surely pass on this place. If I had it to do over again I would.

I have to give this restaurant the "Best False Advertising of a Chicago Pizza" award! Congratulations Chicago Pizza & Sports Grille! It seems that if you pour canned sauce over the pizza it miraculously transforms it to "Chicago Style". This seemed like a pizza that was inspired by Chef Boyardee. Beer was cheap, service was okay, food was "Uh-OH Spaghetti O's"

I can't even give this restaurant one star, but it wouldn't let me proceed without selecting one star. It was that horrible! I wish I would have checked Yelp first. Lesson learned! First we walked in and were told they only have pizza and fried apps. Okay it's almost 10pm we can understand that. The waitress came over and we were asking what we could order and she tells us the owners are changing the menu so they don't have everything on the menu. We said what do you have and she told us everything but 2 items. We proceeded to order and the first thing we order she says oh we don't have that (which was not something she mentioned earlier). So we ordered the sampler platter. She takes our order and comes back 10 minutes later and says they are out of one item on the sampler platter so they are going to give us more of another item. Ok sounds reasonable. They bring out the platter and it has chicken strips as one of the items. The chicken strips were fried to a crispy piece of nothing. The meat was dried up and tasted like garbage. We WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Warning: Horrible service! Walked in there for lunch and the manager on duty started by giving me a dirty look. I asked where I could sit, and he told me anywhere, which was fine. I went and took a seat by the window, and waited, and waited, and waited for a server. After fifteen minutes I asked for a server, was told it would be one minute, only to wait another 10 minutes without service. At this point I just got up and left The food "looks" good, and it is a great place to watch some sports (with TVs at each booth), but I am big on service, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever gotten. If you are visiting Jacksonville stay away and try something else!

The greeter at the door was not very welcoming when we first stepped in but he got better once he became our waiter. Although I would have preferred him to check in on us a bit more, he was nice enough. My wife got a thin-crust 9" pizza that she split with our 6 year-old son. We thought it was a bit expensive just looking at the menu but it was a nice size so I would not call it overly expensive. The problem was that it was really bland. We would not order it again. I got the small meat lover's pan pizza. I also thought, based on the menu, that it was a little expensive considering it was $20 (remember, it was listed as a SMALL pizza in the menu.) It, too, turned out to be larger than we expected. The menu said it would feed 1-2 people. I would hate to see the one person who could finish that entire pizza! While this would seem not to be a problem since you would think we therefore got our money's worth, it was a problem because I would have ordered the 9" pizza my wife and son got (thus saving us about $10), had the menu been a little more accurate on just how big this pizza is. This was even more of a problem because the hotel we were staying at did not have a refrigerator or microwave in the room so the pizza ended up being wasted since I could not take the leftovers with me. Of course, as luck would have it, that wasn't really an issue since I would not have taken the leftover pizza with me in the first place since it was not very good. Apparently, their way of making a pizza involves pouring a whole can of pizza sauce over the pizza right before serving it. This left me with a hot pizza with a ton of lukewarm pizza sauce just dumped on top. Besides not being too terribly esthetically pleasing, I could not taste ANY of the meat, cheese or other flavors due to all the stupid pizza sauce! It really ruined what would have been an otherwise so-so pizza. On the plus side, if you like their pizza this would be an awesome place to watch a sporting event (they were advertising UFC 148 for the next weekend when we were there) because there is a tv at every single table. Something I would love to see at my local sports bar. If I were in town and a UFC fight was on I would probably give them another chance just because of the tvs (oh, and the booths were comfortable, too.) Otherwise, I would not recommend this place nor would I eat here again.

Not great as a takeout option. I should have known not to get deepdish in Jacksonville. By the time I got this back to my hotel (5-10 minute walk) the cheese was cold and hard. The pizza did not have a great taste either. I ate about half of one piece and then gave up.

To me, this is one of better restaurants located at the Landing. Its definitely a sports bar place with lots of TV's, but the food is good [if a bit generic] and the vibe is fun and more genuine than most places here. I've always gotten the thin crust pizza [slightly pricey at $13.99 for a small, $17.99 for a large] and its always been good. Its crispy and not too cheesy, and the small is plenty for two. The thick pan pizza is the same price though, if that's your bag. The interesting thing about this place is they have a really nice long bar [reasonable prices] that always seems crowded with well dressed singles. I don't know how late the party goes, but the crowd does help the vibe. Not the best food you can get in Jacksonville, but a good and reliable and a little fun can be had if you're looking for it. If you have to choose at the Landing, this is a good way to go.

The food is the only saving grace here. The service was TERRIBLE. I have never NOT left a tip while receiving service...that is, until we came here. We ordered the Lemon Pepper Bone-Out wings and a pan pizza with chicken, feta, tomatoes, and mushrooms on it. It was really good, but while we were sitting there, we had not received a single refill on our waters. We gave one waitress our order, another came out about 15 minutes later with the wrong food, we waited another 10 minutes for the right appetizer, our pizza came out, and we never saw the waitress again until it was time to leave. Oh, and about that...we sat there for about 30 minutes, waiting on the check. I got up to go to the bar to pay the check and here comes Sally Sunshine with our check, all chatty and stuff. From the first time I saw her with the wrong app, to the time she came with the check, it had to've been a good hour in between WITH NO ONE IN THE RESTAURANT. We were the only ones on our side. I guess she thought since she was right in my face I would leave a tip. She got a surprise that day.

The only similarity between this pizza and REAL Chicago pizza is the order in which its made. Cheese on bottom, sauce on top. Other than that, this tastes NOTHING like what you would get in Chicago. Trust me, I grew up there. Our first visit was on a Sunday, and the Cubbies were playing Atlanta so we wanted to be able to eat "Chicago" pizza and watch the game. My husband and kids order a pizza, and I ordered the Italian beef sandwich (another Chicago specialty). Found out 5 minutes before our pizza came out that they were out of Italian beef. Apparently they had been busy the night before. Whatever, I just ate the pizza instead. Our second visit was yesterday, my husband I both were craving Italian beef, and we thought there was no way they could be out again. Wrong. Of course they were out. Found out after our meal that they don't even order it anymore. But it's still on the menu? Disappointing. That will be our last visit. And the restaurant smells like mildew.

Okay let me just start off with saying I wanted to give this restaurant 4 stars. The pizza was delicious and the drinks were outstanding, but everything took 15 mins or more to come to the table. At the point in the day that we were there eating the restaurant was not busy. With that being said the food alone would've received 4 stars. The reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is for the rude waitress that we encountered. She was completely disrespectful to a group of hearing impaired customers and expressed her frustration out loud instead of doing her job and treating everyone equally.

I go here for lunch probably once a week. I only get one thing - deep dish pizza. It's pretty darn good too. Great service and good food and a nice view. Only downside is with the restaurant itself is kind of beat up inside. But hey it's a sport's bar, what do you expect? Every booth has a TV though so that's a plus...

Seems like pickings are pretty slim at the Landing for food. Pizza seemed like a safe bet, plus the Florida game was on like 218 TVs there at the same time so everyone could appear like they were paying attention to you and completely take in the game. Service was friendly and attentive. They warned us that the sauce comes on top of the pizza (above the cheese, not under) which was different, but fine. I am not sure how "Chicago" the pizza was, but I thought it was kind of like Pizza Hut. Overall nothing stood out but nothing was terrible either.

the best thing about this place is there are TVs simply everywhere. Several hanging on the walls around the place and a decent sized tv at most(all?) tables. The thin crust pizza is okay if that is what you are after. They should call it cracker crust pizza because coming from the Northeast 'thin-crust' means something completely different. The thin crust is, as I mentioned, cracker like with each bite breaking off a chunk. They don't skimp on the toppings and it can hold a decent amount of weight. They put the right amount of cheese on as to not overwhelm the style it is going after. The Chicago style comes with the sauce on top and more of the deep dish style that down is known for. The sauce was pretty good and not overwhelming for being so present in the ensemble. It is saucy though so be prepared and careful of it dripping on you! Again, they don't skimp on the ingredients. We had pepperoni, sausage, and some kind of veggie. there was plenty of meat which is an area places typically try to cut back on to save money. The taste was pretty good and is the better of the two pizza options. Look.....I am a pizzatarian and will eat most pizza put in front of me. It has to be pretty bad for me not to touch it. This isn't to say I don't recognize the difference, its just that I am forgiving when it coes to the all mighty pie. So take my review on this for what it is worth. I am not saying it is the best pizza ever, but it isnt the worst. It is probably right in the middle. We were there monday - thrusday and visited every night for a few beers. the thing that struck all of us about this place is NO ONE WAS THERE. This was during March madness too so it was a bit surprising. I am guessing it makes all of its money during the NFL season and we weren't complaining about having the place to ourselves. Beer prices are average or on the low side for many of the establishments around this location. The staff was nice and fairly attentive (probably bored). If you are stuck at the hotels nearby and tired of the LOUSY Irish place up the sidewalk and not in the mood for the overpriced and always busy Hooters a few doors down this is a good alternative.

Just had a terrible experience here. Staying at a hotel down the block on a business trip so I thought I would take a walk there and get some take out. While waiting for my order at the bar I witnessed two very drunk men trying to get the bartender to drink with them. When she said no one of them came over to me and started trying to buy me drinks. I declined and tried to ignore him. He continued on and I asked a server to get the manager. Instead a cook came out and spoke to them and there were some chuckles. As soon as he left the man came back over and started again. I got up and walked to another part of the restaurant, I told the bartender that they were way too drunk and they should not keep serving them alcohol. She said that he owns the restaurant next door (called Cinco De Mayo so u know not to go there too!) and that it would b ok. Well I guess if u own the bar next door it's ok to harass the patrons at Chicago Pizza. The manager never came out either.

Went there for a bite before a show at the Times Union Performing Arts center. The entire staff could use a lesson in the restaurant business. There was a considerable line, one hostess scrambling about and the rest of the staff completely ignoring the guests at the door. When I was finally seated, I sat there for a good 5 minutes without a greeting or offer for drinks. I've worked in restaurants before. I'm pretty forgiving if people appear to be running around busy, but this was a good indication of where the rest of the meal would have gone, so I left. Seeing the other reviews on here, I'd say my instincts were spot on.

If you have all night to wait for your food, Chicago Pizza is the place for you. The place wasn't even crowded and my party and I waited over an hour for mediocre appetizers that didn't live up to their description on the menu. We didn't even get a chance to eat our pizza due to the fact that we just couldn't wait any longer. When we complained to the manager about our wait time, he didn't seem to care about anything we were saying. I guess I'll have to find another place in Jacksonville that satisfies my curiosity for Chicago style deep dish pizza.

Based on reviews I was a little hesitant to dine but, since we were a large group and outdoor seating... why not. Pleasantly, surprised... maybe because there was a home game but service we great! Wait wasn't long for lunch and our drinks came right out and was excellent. We ordered personal pizzas, chicken wraps, steak and cheese sub, chili cheese fries and soft tacos...all came out in good time and decent for the price our service was excellent and handled our group very well, checked on us and timed everything well! Good first impression!

This place sucks out loud! They need a SERIOUS OVERHAUL !!! The bar is bad, the food is bad and the wait staff is non-existent Don't listen to the fact that they advertise as a sports bar - terrible reception at the table TV's and no sound Please build a real sports bar at the Landing because Chicago Pizza Grille and Hooters IS NOT IT! stay in your hotel bar and save the walk - DISAPPOINTING

Like everyone said the experience here was just very so so. The service was decent but they were understaff the night I came in and the bartender was pretty much a jack of all trades. Seating people, serving, and pouring drinks. It's probably the best option late night around the Landing though.

This was my first time eating here and it was very late at night. There wasnt many people there at that time which is how i like it, I ordered a small barbecue chicken pizza, and it was AWESOME if it wasn't for by obsessive talking it would've been gone in 60 seconds. The waitress there was very attentive as well I would definitely go back. Especially during football season there were Televisions everywhere you turned including at my table

Service wasn't great, food was alright. Prices were average or maybe a little higher..kinda reflects the Landing atmosphere.. Nothing extraordinary. However lunch isn't bad, definitely more reasonably priced but still slowww service. Even on slow days.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS RESTAURANT!!! We visited Chicago Pizza last weekend while visiting Jacksonville and what a mistake it was!!! The pizza was really good... No doubt about it. The service, however, was absolutely terrible! The owners and managers ought to be absolutely embarrassed. The tables were dirty, there was a ton of staff standing around and ignoring the customers, more than half of the restaurant was empty while there was a line at the door waiting to be seated (we did witness a LOT of groups walk away after waiting with no attention for several minutes... Yay for them!), and once we got our food, we didn't see any servers until they dropped the check off fifteen minutes after we stopped eating and our beers ran dry. What a shame...

So if this is my first restaurant review ever. This place was so bad I was compelled to write a review if that helps paint a picture. 1) our waitress completely deserted us, our meal took 2 hours...the restaurant wasn't busy 2) the food was adequate 3) a large mouse/small rat ran across the floor in front of our table 4) there was a pile of white powder in the bathroom next to the sink...

Everyone is pretty much dead on. This place is a bad spot. The problem is there aren't any real alternatives that are worthwhile in this immediate area. I was in town for a week and came here 3 times. First wasn't so bad-had a personal pan pizza and a salad. Pizza wasn't bad. Sauce was a little sweet for me, but the pizza itself was decent. Got the same thing a couple days later, but a small pizza rather than personal size (small pan pizza is huge, btw--easily could handle 2-3 people.). Last trip was a salad and a personal thin crust za. The pizza was on a preformed crust, it wasn't cooked long enough (no browning of the cheese) and there wasn't enough cheese for this to really be close to a Chicago style thin. Never get thin here. Just stick to pan if you have to be here. Service is inconsistent at best. But again, this place doesn't have to really work hard, because there are really only a couple of decent sit down options in this area. Jacksonville deserves better than the food choices on offer at the landing.

Don't bother coming in here. Huge place and I'm not sure how they stay afloat; they have to be losing money. The food isn't good; way below average. The service takes forever with an easy 45 minute wait time for food. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food was worth waiting for. The service from the employees is pretty bad too. We had to get up and go find our waitress to pay our bill. It's really unfortunate this place has such a big area on the landing. This could easily be a prime location for another business with some personality and good food to shine, and make the landing worth visiting. Someone needs to come in, clean house, and do something with this spot.

One of the better options at Jacksonville Landing restaurants. Variety of food is there but not everything is great. Their pizza and nachos are good while Alfredo pasta is pathetic. Nice ambience and nicely priced. If you are planning a dinner at Jax Landing this is one of the best options.

Has lots of TVs, so about all I can say its a good place for beers and catching up on a game. It also has a patio with a nice vie of the Main Street and Acosta Bridge, so in a nice day it's probably a great place to seat outside and watch the river traffic.

So yeah, they didn't bother to inform us they had a party coming in until after we ordered then they rushed us out in a very disrespectful way. I normally eat here ever other time I hit the landing though that may cease now. Honestly they just ignored us until we where shooed out.

There was a weird smell in the restaurant but we didn't let that sway our decision to try this place. I loved that each table had its own flat screen tv. The table and seats seemed a bit dated and didn't feel "clean". Our server took our order right away and our food came out quickly. The Chicago pizza was so good! However we didn't see our server for a really long time after that. We finished eating and sat there for at least 20 minutes looking for her. We were getting desperate to find any staff person to give us our bill but they were all sparse in the section we were in. Finally as we were about to start walking around the restaurant to find someone, anyone, our server reappeared. The food was great but the service and decor not so much.

In town for a girls trip so we came here for a quick little pick me up to hold us over until dinner. While eating we quickly realized that there was a group of hearing impaired customers. While there I became overwhelmed with emotion (don't know why) but there was an employee there that could interpret and communicate with them and to me I thought that it was so Awesome!!! However while eating, there was an incident where one of the members of the group was choking and the person (her daughter) that could translate for them had gone to get her some water (seems like she was gone a long time) I ended up going over to their table and giving the customer my fresh water to assist her. There was a waitress there, I won't call her name that came over to the groups table and asked loudly in front of us if anyone could hear her when no one responded she threw a tantrum and stated that she couldn't deal with it and stormed off with an attitude. I was almost in tears with the way these people were treated. This waitress was also our waitress. I didn't want her back at my table and the other ladies at my table and I talked with the manager. Before that episode the food was delicious! It did take a while to get our order but the view and the vibe more than made up for it.

Every once in a while I just want a pan pizza and I like the pile high toppings at Chicago pizza. Tina was really friendly and the wings were good too. I do have to say that this place is quite expensive. $4.00 for a yuengling. Having the river view is nice. I would have to say that it's not super special, but if you are out on the town it is worth a try. We had a deep dish pepperoni with olive meatball. There is a lot of bread and I love the edge of the crust. Its like grilled cheese. I also love the sauce they put on the top of the pizza.

Server was nice but average. Food was good. Atmosphere was very nice. We sat outside with a view of the water. The bathrooms SUCKED! No toilet paper except in one stall and no hand soap. Just gross! The excuse was, there opening person didn't come in. So what! When all else fails it becomes the managers job. WE WILL NOT COME BACK! We came by for lunch and delt with all the crap. No toilet paper no hand soap. Told the manager and he said ask for him when we came back for dinner. Needless to say things were worse. We talked to Larry the manager, and he did nothing Bathrooms still a mess and service was bad. We left, never to return!

Often when visiting The Landing I would walk pass this pizza place and say I want to taste their pizza. Well low and behold I spotted a Groupon for $12 your get $20 worth to spend! Anyone that knows me know I luv a good deal! So I purchased one. Let's just say I'm so glad I did. I'm thinking about purchasing another one before the deal is over. Upon arrival we were given a choice to have inside or outside dining. I chose outside it was a beautiful warm sunny Sunday, hey why not sit by the river. Our waitress, Kristen seated us quickly, she was friendly and ready to serve. As she rambled off he drink selection I somehow went from ordering lemonade to Sex On The Beach. The drink was meh , it just wet my throat. However, the Supreme Pizza was the bomb.com ! The Chicago Style pizza was loaded with pepperoni, cheese, Italian sausage, green bell pepper, onion and mushrooms. Did I say cheese? Oh the pizza came out steaming and when we removed a slice the cheese string that flowed from the slice was never ending! The pizza has a great taste, sauce was tasty the cheese was good and there was plenty of topping in the deep dish pizza!! Bonus Tip check in on Yelp and receive free salsa and chips! This place is worth trying and why not sit out and have pizza near the river!

The Lady and I didn't want to cook after doing laundry on Sunday so we chose pizza, With the Groupon coupon in pocket we decided to hit Chicago Pizza. It was our first time there ( still new in town)! We arrived and was quickly greeted by the host...we wanted to sit outside by the water. Upon checking in via Yelp we were awarded free chips & salsa. For drinks she had a Sex on the Beach and I had an Intuition I10 IPA. We ordered a small supreme pizza. We sat and talked while waiting for our pizza. Our server Kristen was very helpful and cool, constantly checking on us and answering any questions we had. Watched the sun set ,ate ,drank and Laughed. A nice way to end the weekend.

I'll begin with the high points and then touch on the low points. My buddy and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat and have a few beers as we waited for a soccer match to begin. We chose this place as there were loads of TVs tuned to various sporting events and there appeared to be plenty of beers to choose from. The hostess greeted us promptly and guided us to our table without too much of a wait (maybe one to two minutes tops). We ordered beers and looked over the menu while we waited for her return. While we waited I decided to check Yelp and see if there was anything we should try. While reading reviews Yelp sent me a coupon for $5 off of a pizza. I thought that was really cool and was definitely tempted to order one, however, the quantity of bad reviews made us think twice about ordering bad pizza when we were far from home and about to enter a crowded stadium. Given our time constraint and the reviews, we decided to play it safe with chips and salsa. Our beers finally arrived and they were perfectly fine. A short while later our chips arrived and that is where things began going bad. Whoever plated the salsa had a tough time getting it in the serving bowl and had splashed it over many of the chips - which made a good portion of the chips soggy and limp. The chips that remained were quite stale and unappetizing. We decided to complain about the chips and order another round of beers, however, our waitress failed to reappear for 30 minutes. By the time she did return we just paid and left for our game. In summary, good beer, bad chips, and slow service earned a 2 star rating on this day. Kudos for the coupon offer, it almost worked and probably would have if we didn't have Yelp reviews to read.

I went to this restaurant while spending a weekend in Jacksonville. I truly regret the experience, as aside from a good local beer, the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the chicken parm and my wife ordered a chicken pasta dish. The pasta was so overcooked that any attempt to grab it with a fork resulted in it falling apart. The sauce was super sweet and tasted more like ketchup than tomato sauce and the chicken was just a thick chicken cutlet that had been dropped in a deep fryer. It was incredibly chewy and was undoubtedly the worst chicken parmesan I've had in my life. I wouldn't go here again if I were paid to do so.

Stopped in for lunch when we were Down town and decided to check out the landing. Place wasn't busy at all so waited a minute for some to acknowledge we were there to be seated. Once seated services was fast and on point. Got the lunch special personal pan pizza and a calzone. My calzone needed a couple more mins in the oven IMO not all the cheese was melted and wasn't HOT when I cut it open. Other then that I loved the sauce and the crust. . There sauce taste a little sweet. . I would defiantly like to try the pizza next time and the view was nice right on the river. For the price I have no complaints

The food was great we had a large meat lovers pizza, the sausage was delicious. The service was slow-the staff moved like molasses. We sat outside to enjoy the breeze but only to harassed by club promoters & beggars. If I'm craving pizza this would be my 1st choice but I highly recommend delivery/dining out/pickup.

I've never been Unsatisfied with this place! The pizza is terrific, and the people are nice! Enjoyed the hospitality. Televisions everywhere so you can't miss anything you're watching! My service was fast.

Tons of TVs and a good patio. Staff worked hard but seemed unhappy. What food they had was fair, but they were "out of" ingredients for half of their appetizers before 9 pm on a thursday... hopefully it was an off night.

Awesome Pizza!! Lots of Tvs! Can't wait for the remodel they spoke about! Definitely a great to go to watch any kind of sports! Love how they have Tvs at every booth that you can control!

Good and service is some of the best I've ever had. Yummy pizza. Will put on any sports you want and a ton of tvs. Plus big outside patio with more tvs. Very friendly service and clean place. Wish one was back home.

This place is pretty cool, we went with some friends today to watch football. I was very impressed that all the seating areas had TVs , and that no matter where you sat you had a nice view of a tv. The bar tender was very nice and took our drink orders as soon as we arrived and their was a yummy smell of freshly popped popcorn in the air! If we weren't so full at the time from just having had brunch I probably would have ordered some to go along with my drink. Overall we had a nice time while we were there.

One of the better options at Jacksonville Landing restaurants. Variety of food is there but not everything is great. Their pizza and nachos are good while Alfredo pasta is pathetic. Nice ambience and nicely priced. If you are planning a dinner at Jax Landing this is one of the best options.

Food was solid. Pizza was crispy crust and not sure why the ratings are so low. It's a little warm inside but service was great for us.

The nastiest bartender ever. We and another couple left.. change your damn attitude. . Love one server to another

Terrible service, our food took 45 minutes including our salads and they weren't even that apologetic a d didn't check in. Also extremely overpriced. Would not go back.

Can't really say much about the food, because after waiting 5 minutes to be seated we left. Two waitresses even looked in our direction, and said nothing to us.

Horrible service. Extremely long wait time even when there is literally no one else in the restaurant. Waited right at 2 hours for our food.

She got a surprise that day.

the best thing about this place is there are TVs simply everywhere.
