This was my first time ever in a Bob Evans. From the moment I entered, I was enticed my the posters in the entry advertising their seasonal appetizers. A few more steps and I would find a display of candy and fresh baked goods. We were seated by a friendly hostess and served by an energetic waiter named Mark who delivered high quality customer service from beginning to end. When I suggested am interest in the blueberry bread, he zealously and immediately brought samples of both their blueberry and banana breads for us to try. Both were delicious. We both ordered the Sunshine Skillet with gravy in the side and substituted turkey sausage for pork. It was a right sided portion for a reasonable price. Overall I am highly satisfied with my visit to Bob Evans Restaurant!

So in all my life I have never made into a Bob Evans until just the other day. We were looking for something a little different than the norm and recently a friend recommended Bob Evans so we stopped in. My Buddy ordered "The Big Breakfast" which actually should have been listed in the kids menu. This thing was a totally oxymoron, it was the smallest big I have ever seen. I ordered their Smokehouse burger and let's just say, the flavorless burger patty was overshadowed by the terrible overly liquid smoked chipotle sauce that went on the burger. Needless to say, in all my years I haven't missed anything and in all my future years I won't be back! I did keep it at 2 stars because the service was actually really good and everyone had a smile and was friendly... The food was just terrible and wasn't a good value.

I never went to Bob Evans before but I heard it was good. I ordered broasted chicken to go. When I got back to my place I found two lame pieces of boneless chicken breast. No flavor. I called to complain and all I got from a gentleman that answered was sorry ma'am and hung up. Definitely won't go back

Living in Mandarin we try to find some good breakfast spots and Bob Evans has made the rotation. They have a breakfast I like (Farmers Breakfast) where you kinda get a lil of everything, eggs, homefries, bacon ( and they always do my Bacon right EXTRA crunchy!like almost burnt) and a side of pancakes, french toast, or crepes...I usually pick crepes. But it is a good filling breakfast. And they are good to take the kids too.

We don't have one of these down in Miami, so whenever I visit up here I make sure to stop by. The food is pretty average. It's good but not fantastic. And yes, it's not fresh food. I'm almost certain everything is boxed, canned or instant except maybe for a couple of things. Not a biggie. It's not like this is food to eat every day. The banana bread and blueberry bread are the best part of the meal. The biscuits are so pretty tasty. Both times I have been this trip, the servers have been very friendly. Lots of Southern hospitality, that Miami lacks, unfortunately.

I agree with Nathan M. My country fried steak meal was very average at best. I could have did a better job with the microwavable version. There was nothing spectacular. This was my 1st time visiting this restaurant. I won't try any more dinners from here. Maybe I'll try the breakfast next.

I was just excited that I found one here in Jacksonville, FL The people here were nice, my waiter you can tell he was the man. he had a way of doing thing and he did them right. Making sure all his guest were happy. I love Bob evens sausage so that is why i loved this place.. the girl even gave me a coupon when i bought my banana bread. I'l be back and i actually like this place over Waffle house(who never can get my eggs right NEVER) over Ihop (when they never care how hot the food is after 11pm) I kinda of want to go now.. lol

Sooooo as I was waiting for the pictured meal I observed the cook eat one of my onion petals prior to it coming to my table. Upon pointing it out they decided to give a little discount.

Tried this place after several years. Food is still good but service still thinks. You know it's bad when the waitress brings your food and check at the same time. Means you'll never see her again.

The only word that comes mind is average. There was not anything that impressed me but definitely not the worst experience. It was about lunch time and got the country fried steak take combo. The salad and countries fried steak were good. The mashed potatoes were very dry. We got the check before I got the cookie that was part of the meal deal. The cookie I had for desert was still warm but was not quite fresh out of the oven good. The service was very friendly but not quit the fastest. The prices of the food were comparative to similar restaurants. Would I eat there if I were just in the neighborhood - yes. Would I go out of my way just to go for an especially good meal- no.

Standard food, standard service. The blueberry crepes were tasty! I also enjoyed my sweet tea. It's a chain so that's what you should expect.

We come every weekend for breakfast. The food is good as well as the prices. What we like the most is the friendly staff.

All this time that I've lived in the South and I never ate at a Bob Evans. My friend, who I was with, was flabbergasted and had to fix this blasphemy. He kept going on and on about how Bob Evans is the place to go for comfort food. I ordered a sweet tea and it didn't come out sweet. I wasn't sure if this was by design or a mistake, so I just added sugar myself. I'm not really a complainer, especially if it is something that I can fix, so I just let it go, even though my friend insisted that I order another. Before our meal was brought out, we had some banana nut and apple bread that was so good. It was moist with little chunks of apple. The banana definitely overpowered the apple, but no complaints here. That was some good bread. I didn't really glance at the whole menu, as it was dinner time and I flipped straight to the back to figure out what to eat. My friend ordered fried chicken, mashed taters, and broccoli, while I ended up ordering meatloaf, green beans, and mashed taters. My meal was okay. Just okay. The meatloaf was way salty. I'm not sure if this was from the meatloaf, itself, or the gravy. It wasn't inedible, but I would never put that much salt into a meatloaf. I think there should have been a little more green beans on my plate as well. While we were finishing up dinner, a lady came around handing out coupons for a free dinner. It was instant rollback on our meal, which was rather nice. I'm not sure if it was a spontaneous thing that was done by the employees or if it was just a person doing a "pay it forward" thing. Nonetheless, it was appreciated. I'll go back to Bob Evans if it is convenient, but I probably won't seek it out.

I was vastly disappointed with the food quality. We ordered biscuits and gravy expecting the traditional southern dish of white gravy and sausage atop one to three biscuits(depending on biscuit size). Instead we received brown gravy on top and it was disgusting. The rest of our table was only mildly pleased with their food. However, the restaurant was clean and the staff was polite but due to the menu I'll not be going back to this restaurant in any capacity again.

Not my first choice, but I let my daughter choose. I ordered the sunrise special, I think it was called, and it wasn't the best breakfast I've ever had. I had to send my over medium eggs back because they were well done. Is my server blind I ask. Can she not tell the difference? The ham had been cooked to death and dry. I had to ask for butter, jelly, and honey. The home fries had more than just a few crunchy potatoes in the mix. Everything was over salted including the biscuits. I have to ask WHY has Bob Evans changed their recipe on everything? The last time I was at a B E it wasn't very good. This seals the deal for me. There won't be a 3rd chance!!

Pretty good food. Service is good... But tables stay dirty until they seat you, so you deal with that "dirty rag" smell when you sit down, so 4 stars is pushing it, but Im in a good mood LOL!
