Blues Q Diner is a welcome addition to the Northside. The staff are a delight and always welcoming. Blues Q serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. My recent visit was on a Friday evening, they had live entertainment, a keyboardist, who delights the patrons. I had the combo shrimp and fried chicken wings, the shrimp were gigantic, lightly battered and seasoned well. The fried chicken wings could have been seasoned a little better, I had to add some salt. You have a choice of two sides. I chose the collard greens, which were seasoned to perfection and the mac and cheese.I like my Mac and cheese a little more cheesier, but it was still tasty. I also was served hush puppies with my meal. The portion size was good for the price. For four dinners, and two slices of cake plus drinks, my bill was less than $60.00.You must get a glass of their peach tea, they also serve beer and wine. The cakes are home- made, you must try a slice, you will take home a portion of your cake, because you will be too full to eat it all. So if you haven't yet visited Blues Q Diner, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
