I've went here a couple of times. I have never been disappointed. The monster burger is gigantic and delicious. I would recommend the monster burger to anybody who is really hungry.

Overall really good. :) They've always been consistent & featured on 1 of the food shows previously. All full sandwiches are at least 2-3 servings, very filling and filled up. The last I had was the Bbq (shredded beef & pork mix). Specific ratings: The Service was 4 (down-to-earth workers), Facility 4 (well kept and located), Food 4.5 (good on taste; very large portions), Price/cost 4-4.5 (good price for the amount of food). Summary: Definitely recommended.

This sandwich shop is one of the best I've ever had. When I first walked in I was greeted with a smile... I wasn't sure what to order and everyone standing waiting to order or waiting for their orders started naming sandwiches to try, that's when I knew this place was going to exceed my expectations... I ordered the BBQ steak with grilled onions, provolone cheese, and I added lettuce and tomato.. My taste buds are still jumping around.. Also the size of one sandwich could be enough to feed 2-4 ppl... And almost every sandwich is under $10.. You can't beat that!!! And last but not least what topped my visit was when I went to the restroom to wash my hands it was very CLEAN!!! I will definitely come back here again and again!!!

Hello giant and amazing sandwiches! We ordered two for two people and I'm pretty sure they could have fed us for a week! The steak sandwich with provolone and grilled onions was juicy and definitely my favorite. The chicken philly was also a solid choice. I think I could eat almost anything shoved between that bread; slightly sweet and fluffy. With great food and very pleasant staff, I'm glad we stopped in!

Stopped by Blue Boy's today on a trip to Jacksonville. Just looked up sandwich shops and picked the closest. I was extremely pleased. I had the #8 steak with hot peppers, the bread was excellent the sandwich could have been a little spicier but it was still very good. My daughters had a ham sandwich and a hamburger. The my youngest daughter enjoyed her ham sandwich, she likes stuff plain so I didn't try it. My older daughter didn't like the hamburger but she didn't order it the way she normally does. I tried it and it was good. The service was excellent and the food was reasonably priced.

If your feeling blue in the morning and need a smile drive to Blue Boy off I 95 in Jacksonville, Blue Boy is one of Jacksonville's hidden gems on the Northside of Jacksonville. I stopped at Blue Boy and bought their large bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and it's the best in all of the Southeast. The cashier lady is very nice and so are the host of characters you will meet while waiting for your order. If ever a movie was going to made about a sandwich shop it should be Blue Boy on Norwood Av. in Jacksonville, Florida. If you go you must go to the Norwood Av. Northside location very friendly staff and the customers remind me of the old Andy Griffin show from the early 60's.

Now I have been eating at all of the Blue Boy's Sandwich Shops for years and years now. When I'm work within 6-8 miles I'm there for lunch. This one is the first one and it's the best. The lady at the counter has been there for 22 years she says. The man making the sandwiches has been there for almost 10. Now this is tradition and in my eyes should be a most here shop in Jacksonville. You better bring all the hungry that you have to cause the sandwiches are not small. Even if the menu says on the round. It's the smallest version of the normal but not many folks eat the whole thing. Enjoy cause I did and will return to one of them some where soon.

My MIL has been going here for decades and raves about it. Usually we have opposite tastes so I never really put this place on my restaurant radar...until now. One gorgeous morning, in the mood for breakfast but wanting a place we'd never been, we headed here, new territory. Norwood is narrow and bumpy, the buildings crowded close to the street. The shop itself is older but cared for. When you first enter it's a narrow space and a tall counter but when you turn the corner there's an ample dining room in which to savor your sandwich. It's a good thing the room is big cause so are the sandwiches. I'm not a sandwich loving girl. I'm more "meh" than OMG about sandwiches but Blue Boy made me change my tune. My big guys got the steak egg and cheese breakfast sub. I ordered a vegetarian round because it is supposedly smaller, my middle child wanted the bacon egg and cheese (because bacon) and the little one wanted standard grits, eggs, bacon in a cup. The bill was more than I expected to spend for a quickie breakfast ($44) but when they brought it out to us, it looked like we were getting our money's worth. Fortunately they aren't substituting quantity for quality because the food was abundant in both areas. If my big guys were wolves they would've been snarling at anyone who dared peek at their steaks. They loved them but towards the end, they were willing to share because the sub size was huge. Definitely modeled the size after a real life submarine. The round is as big as an average person's face (which is kinda creepy if you're thinking Hannibal Lecter) and I was happy to share it as delicious as it was. The middle kid ate it all (because bacon). The bread is soft, slathered in butter and melts right into the well seasoned ingredients (steak, bacon etc). Truly delicious and truly super bad for you if you're watching cholesterol or calories. Didn't care that morning. Adopted the YOLO attitude and enjoyed every bit of it. I want to give it 5 stars but dropping it down .5 stars because I thought maybe there was a tad too much butter (though no one else complianed) and another .5 because my MIL loves this place (which isn't fair I know but YELP doesn't give us an option for fractional stars so I had to justify my 4 star rating rather than the 5 it probably deserves). Go on in and go get you some Blues, you won't be singing a sad tune afterwards.

Driving down to Orlando we decided to stop here for lunch.. We got the steak sandwich and a chicken sandwich as well as fries. The steak sandwich is da bomb digity... Huge, tasty and the bread is killa.. The chicken sandwich Is what I knock a star for. It was huge, just not as good.. The chicken wasn't that great... The fries are just Eh too..

Stopped to get a quick snack for my son. He thought his sandwich was so good he gobbled it down before I could even think of taking a picture. This is a hole in the wall type of place and it is a great find and a great little secret. It is a 5 star place, but you want to give it 1 star so no one goes to save it for yourself!

A Jacksonville favorite & staple. After many years of eating here, I decided to try something different....the bacon cheeseburger. Amazing. Please don't ever franchise.

Typically known around town for their ginormous sandwich's, this place really rocks. I've probably eaten here 4 times in the past and had forgotten all about it. I had flavorful flashbacks today when my friend suggested we meet there for lunch. Walking in, I noted they sure had added some fun looking new ones; Veal, Italian, Fish and Tuna. I remembered having a Pastrami Sub and the Philly Steak years ago but I was in a pita mood today. Somehow all the bread that comes with the subs here are not appealing to me any longer. I had to try the Camel Hopper, $4.50 - Ham, bologna, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions, and pickle. I said, throw in some hot peppers and Italian dressing, and I'll ride that turkey across the Sahara. My friend ordered a Submarine, $5.25. - Ham, bologna, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, dressing, onions, and pickle. No hot pepper please. The guy behind the counter asked, "Sub?" I spoke up and said, isn't that the department of redundancy department? This comment flew over the order takers head at the speed of sound. He repeated, "Sub or round?" I felt like a heel and shut up. Both sandwiches were 4 star, in price, quality and and abundance. They open for breakfast at 8:30a and close at 4p. Large orders are welcome but call them in before 11:00.
