Big Oak BBQ Menu

Big Oak serves some of the BEST Barbecue in the city! With flavorful smoked ribs, turkey, brisket and pork you can always find a delicious meal at a reasonable price. They will even smoke your holiday turkey if you bring it to them. The staff are very friendly and work hard to accommodate your needs. We have had them cater several business meetings and routinely eat there during the work week. You must try their "Stumps" when you stop in. Additionally, if you do not get a piece of Grandma's cake when you are there you will regret it. The most moist and flavorful cake that you have had since your Grandmother made it!

Honestly, I can't tell if people in Florida don't know BBQ or I just had a terrible experience. How it is 4 stars is beyond me. I had the two meat platter ribs, pork, Mac and cheese and slaw. Ribs had almost zero meat. Pulled pork was inedible because of cartilage/fat (I understand fat=flavor but this was like gelatin), Mac and cheese was a joke (reminded me of microwaved). The slaw was actually ok. It was the most enjoyable part of the meal. When has that ever been said in the history of BBQ? The garlic bread sucked. I took one bite and dumped it. The banana pudding tasted like something my elementary school served in styrofoam cups at lunch. One bite and dumped it. Maybe I caught it on a bad day but I can honestly say this was a terrible experience and waste of money.

3 meat meal 10.99 their portion size is astronomical. You will not leave hungry!! I got the three meat meal to share. My hubs got the two meat meal and barely finished it. Real southern bbq. No offense to the high-priced trendy places, but this place and treemendous are my spots.

Big Oak focuses on the meat and it shows. It may not be the trendiest place but they don't serve "hip" they serve ribs and butt...see what I did there? The ribs are fall-off-the-bone, the beef is the juiciest evva, and the pork is perfectly cooked. To those that say it's dirty, it's not. It's old and outdated but it's not dirty. If you can't handle an outdated barbeque joint then I suggest you whip out your trendy leather cased iPhone, climb in your Saab 900, and tell Siri you're hungry you friggin Hipster.

The staff is friendly & all orders are made fresh. They have several homemade desserts to choose from: banana pudding, strawberry cake, red velvet cake, & brownies.

Well I can't comment on the food. I stood at the order here section for about 2 min w one worker chatting w someone right behind me. No one took my order. So I walked out. Very disappointed bc I've attempted to come here several xs but they close at 8. Now I finally get to try them and no one helped me.

We stopped in at Big Oak's new location down in lake asbury after visiting Amazing Grace Crop Maze. After pulling into the parking lot, and getting out of our car, the smell let us know " This is where we are eating lunch!" We walked in, and were warmly greeted, and ordered at the counter. Waited about 5 or 10 minutes and were served at our booth. The pork, ribs, and beef were awesome!!! Our sides (Mac n cheese, BBQ beans) were equally as wonderful! Plenty of paper towels and sauces at your table too. Yum, yum, yum!!!

The pulled pork is really great paired with their sweet sauce.. perfection. Quick service. Very friendly staff. I wish they would update their restaurant.Very out dated and feels dirty when you walk in and look around. The place definitely has potential as far as looks. Despite the drab boring out dated interior the food is great! my daughter loves the mac and cheese.

Damn is that some good BBQ! I got the beef lunch plate with the side beans and mac & cheese. The beef was perfectly prepared and excellently accompanied by the Big Oak Sweet sauce. I would definitely suggest everyone stop here and enjoy the great atmosphere and phenomenal BBQ.

Big Oak BBQ is amazing! I have had just about everything on the menu and it has all been delicious! The Mac and cheese, corn nuggets, and baked beans are to die for. All the meats are tender and juicy. If it has a bone to fall off of it certainly will. My favorite is the pulled pork. My dads favorite is the ribs. My moms favorite is the turkey. I tell you that to show that everything is amazing! The meals are always prepared at a fast pace as well.

Great place to eat. The Mickeys special is a loaded pork sandwich with fries and a drink for $5.99. Great meal for the money. I did add the BBQ beans as an extra. The decor is outdated, but i'm here for the food.I rated it a 4 star due to my table being alittle stickey.I'm a regular for the food not the atmosphere.

Big Oak BBQ catered our Annual Volunteer Thank You Party and did a FANTASTIC job. They fed 125 people and everyone raved about every single item. Especially how juicy the pork and chicken were. I cannot say enough wonderful things. The price was resonable and they were very easy to work with. We will certainly use them again! Lee Hamby The 5 & Dime, A Theatre Company

Had dinner here this evening at my wife's insistence. (She knows the owner) I must say overall it was very good. Good, great pork and really juicy turkey. The sides were also very good, I had the Lima Beans on Rice with French Fries. And my wife had the BBQ Beans and Cole Slaw. All very good and fresh tasting. I would recommend Big Oak if you happened to be over near Dunn Ave. But I wouldn't travel from across town just to eat here, as there are to many other good BBQ places all over town

I love Big Oak, I would go here for lunch while I was at North campus and this place never disappoints. Ribs n chicken are the best! I always have to try Mac n cheese whenever I'm at a restaurant that servers it and this is one of the best. They also cater for a really good deal and charge for delivery at a reasonable price.

Last night my family went back to Big Oak and enjoyed our meal very much. We had a variety of food this time; ribs, sausage, brisket, and pulled pork. Everyone munched happily and didn't want to share. Side dishes we had were a large order of onion rings and they were 'the bomb', a little browner than I like, but homemade and good taste and a lot of them. Cole slaw was creamy and sweet, beans had a lot of meat in them, but the corn on the cob was disappointing --- fresh out of a freezer bag and boiled with no seasoning. No wait time at all, when we left a few tables were full and enjoying their meals. All food that was suppose to be hot was and the cold food was cold. Very clean restaurant --- their reports have been 'spotless' ever since they opened a couple of years ago.

Well I heard about this place awhile back and decided to give it a try. Well upon walking in I was greeted by a voice saying this is your first time here ha. Saying yes I was directed to order at the counter. Ok then this came from a young lady that was really more interested on her phone then me. John J. Customer. So I ordered a salad with 2 meats. I was handed a cup for my drink and the lady pointed to the fountian machine. After about 10 minutes here comes my food. Well the salad was that a salad with the meat in alittle tray of meat. Ok I'll try this. I looked on my table and around me to find no silverware or eating untensils . Then I saw where I could spin this contraption and push this button and out comes a folks and spin it and push and out comes a knife. How special was this. I guess then you don't have any dishes to do since the food came out in a sterofoam box too. Then the little misses doesn't have to lay down her phone. So thats where things started going down hill. Well the salad was a salad lettuce, tomato, a cup full of meat. Ok tasting the sausage it was alright (store bought) but alright now the turkey was real and not from a roll from the deli. It tasted like it came from the deli. Upon eating my salad my eyes were wondering the restaurant and they happened to find the flavoring of the turkey. Way up on a shelf above amonst other things, among the other big plastic jugs, in the middle was a big half empty bottle of Liquid Smoke. Now I do alot of BBQing and smoke alot of meat and make even more custom sausages for folks. Now my stuff is very well received (and people pay me for it) so I think I can say I know a thing or two about smoking meat. If I was ever caught using lquid smoke I would be banned for the BBQ family or the smokingmeat (SMF) forums that I belong to. So if you like this place good for you but this smoking fool doesn't. So enjoy you can have my share. Oh yea Rick you have eaten My Q to and said it was really good.

Chose the restaurant based on Yelp reviews. Food was good but the meat, ribs, pulled pork and brisket was dry. Mac & Cheese was great. Lima beans & rice, a family recipe was strange.

Had lunch there today, not all to impressive. Mac & Cheese is awful. Really need to improve on the quality of meat.

Big Oak catered a Technician Continuing Education Training class at NAPA. The food was still hot upon its arrival, the taste - delicious and appealingly presented. Nice job you guys! Aaron's Car Care demandforce.com/b/aarons…

We got off the plane from Puerto Rico with a cravin' for some BBQ. We pulled out the handy iPhone and found this spot near us. Great location, great service, great food! Gotta love that Dirt Harry sauce!!! I recommend this place thoroughly.
