The pizza berries taste like pizza berries! The wall paper is lickable, beer flavored!

My wife and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. We stopped in and we are glad we did. The service was great and the food was even better. We will definitely return. I do recommend the calzones. They also have trivia night.

We needed a place with a table for nine last minute on a Friday night. We called Ale Pie and they had it. I had a Greek salad and it was fresh, huge and wonderful. Others in the party had pizza that they said was great. Service was great. Will definitely be back.

Oh my DAYM! First time here today and I can't wait to come back! Don't usually rave about pizza places, but this was amazing! We tried the hummus appetizer and the pita was so fresh and light and just, WOW! We also split the spinach salad and a stromboli. Everything was fresh and homemade, and simply delicious. Potion sizes are huge, we have plenty of leftovers to take home, and our server Elitsa was friendly and fun! Looking forward to trying everything on the menu!

Good stuff. By that I mean they make a great stuffed pizza. This restaurant has an odd front to the building, but inside it's pleasant overall. I prefer to talk about food vs the place, which is really fine once you adapt to the location. I specifically visited to try the attempt at Chicago pizza & Italian Beef. I'm from Joliet, Illinois and I can be quite critical of attempts at this style. My brother accompanied me & he took the leftovers to a 3rd brother later that day. 2 of us went there to split a 10" stuffed Chicago style pie. We ordered pepperoni & onions this time. This should be a basic test, we thought. The pizza was going to take a long time, as expected, and i was already about 1pm, so we ordered the Italian Beef to split as an appetizer. The Beef sandwich came about 10 minutes later. It was devoid of peppers and gravy. The onions were OK. The beef was OK. Even the bread was OK. So it wasn't a bad sandwich & we ate it because we were starving. But, they gave a small serving cup of hot water (no joke) - not even the fake Au Jus you're used to seeing in FL. So there was zilch to soak your bread. You don't really have a toasted bun with the real gravy. You also get no peppers. i think they put a couple of salad style GP's on there. Needless to say I just can't recommend this sandwich to anyone I know from the Chicago area. I dare say anyone who regularly visits Chicago probably won't be fooled either. They should probably change the name of their beef sandwich, IMO. The pizza was a different story. They set down a gorgeous pizza eventually. It looked & smelled great. I liked it, but I waited for my brother to stop eating for a second. He loved it. The sauce is great, the cheese is OK. The crust is awesome. Probably the best part is the crust, which is usually a flaw nowadays with all pizza, but this place is GREAT. I'm not sure if I love the cheese but my brother did. He took the leftovers to the 3rd bro who texted me & wanted to know where this pizza came from? LOL, it's good stuff. So, we will be back. Not for the IB sandwich but I woulld recommend this place to anyone and everyone for pizza and I'm as critical as they come! Go try a stuffed pie.

Fantastic Chicago stuffed pizza and at a great price! Service was very friendly and prompt. Our waiter was genuinely happy to help us. Looking forward to trying more items from the large menu.

Dont let the strange parking lead you away..when you pull in theres only three visible parking spots out front and you see a gravel road..drive down that around a curve to the lot..you can thank me later.. Two of my group of six were already seated and had gone over the beer selection with our server when i arrived. I will say that all the beers on the menu arent really available When you walk in, you instantly feel welcome, and cozy..the booths are beautiful, the wooden tables are a dark rich wood and the tiles on the floor are a nice white and black design. Alot of attention was obviously paid to the details here. There was also some light jazz-ish music playing in the background. I settled in and ordered a Jon Boat, my new fave beer, which was brought out promptly and full of frosty deliciousness. While we waited for the rest of our group to arrive we perused the menu. Its a HUGE menu..all kinds of options going on here.. When we had all arrived, our server took all the remaining drink orders, and gave us some time to decide on what to eat. We had already narrowed it down to a few pizza selections, and he was helpful in our final choices. We went with a new york thin egg plant pie, a chicago stuffed meditarian pie, and a chicago stuffed fruit pie with pepperoni instead of ham. We talked and laughed and ordered probably too many beers..our server was attentive and very patient with his table of 6 slightly rowdy women! He was soon setting up the pizza stands and bringing out the piping hot pizza..and it looked amazing.. First i tried the eggplant pie, with its thin crispy crust and fresh ricotta..it was so good! i then tried half a piece of the fruit pie..this was my first time having a chicago stuffed pizza, and i have to say that im now a fan! Lastly i tried the meditarian chicago stuffed, which i was skeptical about because it had cold ingredients on top, but it was amazing as well. We ate, and ate, and ate some more, we kept the beers flowing and talked and laughed and had a great time. The server checked in on us several times, refilled waters, asked how we liked everything, brought more napkins, and took away trash. I couldnt have been happier with him. Our bill was split the six ways, and we had separate ones for our beverages. We all paid, boxed up our food and went to leave..and our server walked us out!! What a nice little touch..he walked us outside, holding the door for us, and talked to us about the hours they are open. I noticed while we were walking out there was a cute little patio area outside also. Top notch pizza experience! I might have to try one of the amazing looking desserts next time..or an appetizer..or a pasta..or sandwich..this place could be TROUBLE!!

Really wanted to like this place, unfortunately I did not. Had a meatball sub. Sauce was sub-par and meatballs were average. Bread was not great either. Originally from the east coast and have had a lot of great Italian american food. This place is not it. I kept thinking Gordan Ramsey from kitchen nightmare could show up any minute. They need a menu makeover.

Right when we walked in, we were graciously greeted by the owner and his staff. We were seated in a both we requested (love booths). The restaurant was very clean, super nice decor with a full bar in the corner. And our server, Alyssa, was a total sweetheart! Yes, an extensive menu, but I like that they have a great selection of menu items. For an app, we went for the Breaded Mozzarella ($6.40) which was sliced mozzarella covered in their special Italian seasonings, fried and served with marinara sauce. Let me forewarn you, they give you three HUGE slices piping hot so pace yourself... Next, I ordered the Ale Special Salad ($8.90). I subbed the mozzarella for the goat cheese w/the house made balsamic vinaigrette with no issues. This salad was superb and was as big as my head (and I have a pretty large head)! My boy got a house salad with creamy Caesar, a slice of NY cheese pizza, a slice of meatball & pepperoni and a Yuengling. I took a slice of tres leches to go. OK, their pizza slices are about 3xs the size of most and were perfectly crispy on the bottom. Loved this! Overall, the kitchen is pretty accommodating, there is an adorable smoke-friendly outside patio/dining area, portions were VERY GENEROUS, food was delicious, service was impeccable and the restaurant was beautiful! We left feeling like happy gluttons. We are definitely going back to this place very soon. 5 DESERVING STARS!

The following review was published under my byline in the Florida Times-Union on Thursday, July 4, 2013. This is an original, unabridged version of that review. When you say the words "pizza" and "Avondale" in the same sentence nowadays, your attention may not focus on food but rather the controversy one particular national chain has stirred in wanting to set up shop nearby. Regardless of how that works out, there are hungry pizza lovers in Avondale right now who deserve their ... wait for it ... slice of the pie. And not even a mile down St. Johns Avenue, the folks at Ale Pie House are skipping the controversy and serving up Italian treats today. The one-shop concept opened in February in a storefront that most recently housed a Thai eatery. On-site parking is limited (this is Avondale, after all) and dining room flow is challenging. But Ale Pie House makes up for its logistical shortcomings by fielding an impressive collection of salads, subs, paninis, wraps, calzones, traditional Italian dinners and 22 signature pizzas that bring to mind the menu from "that other place." Pizza crusts come in three styles: New York thin for 10-, 14- and 16-inch pies; a 10-inch Chicago stuffed variety; and a 10-inch gluten-free choice. You can build your own with meat, fruit, veggie and gourmet toppings, including shrimp, crawfish tail and vegan cheese (for a small upcharge). Ten-inch cheese pies start at $7.95 for New York thin, $9.99 for gluten-free and $10.95 for Chicago stuffed. Or choose one of their specialty pies, with such motley configurations as Yummy Hummus, Ale BLT, Spicy Pepper Jack and Traditional Hamburger. We got to work with one of the more intriguing appetizers, Grandma's Meatball ($4.95), a colossal mound of meat covered in mozzarella and marinara. This plate's best shared or served as a small meal. The Ale House Salad ($3.70) is piled high with spring mix, tomato, mozzarella, black olive, red onion and cucumber and served with a side of feta vinaigrette. It's serviceable, but sharing types might upsize to an entrée salad with tastier options. Protein upgrades--shrimp, grilled or breaded chicken, gyro or chorizo--run $2.90 for any salad. My fiancée is gluten-intolerant, which means she hasn't had a hamburger since her diagnosis four years ago. The Traditional Hamburger Pie with 10-inch gluten-free crust ($13.95) caught her eye, and fortunately, I caught a slice. Ale Pie House nails this one with traditional backyard flavors, including mustard sauce and pickles to complement the beef, applewood bacon and cheddar-mozzarella blend. I went for the 10-inch New York thin Vegetarian Pie ($11.95), which includes all the usual suspects along with artichoke and eggplant. It was hard to maneuver this one without a fork and knife as the hefty veggies weighed down the crust--not a bad problem to have. The veggies played well together under the blanket of mozzarella and made for a tasty treat I will repeat. Desserts include cannoli, cheesecake, rum cake and a fudgy double-chocolate cake. I went for the tiramisu ($5.25), a substantial (read: shareable) yet light slab of Italian bliss topped with cocoa powder. Great beer is never far from a great pizza, and Ale Pie House offers 15 draft brews ($2.50 to $6.50), including locals Intuition and Bold City, and domestic and import bottles ($3.25 and $4.50, respectively). Soft drink lovers have Coke products on fountain ($1.95), and in an innovative nod to families, 2-liter bottles ($2.50). Ale Pie House offers lunch and dinner with dining room service, takeout or delivery within five miles for a $10 minimum order and $1 delivery fee. Service was prompt and friendly from our arrival. Hard-working independents such as Ale Pie House play well in neighborhoods such as Avondale. If you're hungry now, this pie house is worth checking out. Lovely wait staff and dazzled my family with their huge Stromboli . I love their patio and 1.50 happy hour. The jazz/r&b music they have is funny and relaxing. Hope to make it a new favorite especially bc i don't have to worry about it being packed both times I've been there. Keep the house salad cheap and I'll keep buying more at dinner.

I could write a wordy description of the food and the service and the whole experience, but why bother when one word says it all...... wonderful! Honestly, everything was great! If you like your food with flavor, this is where to get your pizza! SIX stars for Ale Pie House... I plan to return many times!

Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday with a co-worker and it was quiet and spacious, so we opted for a seat near the window. The menu was very lengthy and we asked our waitress if there were any specials ("no, not yet - we just opened") for lunch. After deliberation - salads, calzones, pizzas, traditional italian favorites - I decided: a simple salad and slice of pizza and added on mushrooms as a topping. My friend had the same salad and a slice with onion and green peppers. They offer Chicago stuffed pizza, gluten-free pies, and NY "thin and crispy" style. The slices were good size, and sturdy enough to fold in half and pick up. The crust was crunchy. Four thumbs up. Worth noting: it was odd that the onions were a. red onions b. thin rings instead of pieces/chopped onion. Slices are $2.25 and regular toppings are .50, gourmet toppings . 75. There was everything from coconut to roasted red pepper, gouda, crawfish tail and shrimp. We wanted a side salad, but found they didn't offer one so we ordered the cheapest salad ($3.70). With mostly iceberg (romaine is an extra $1, which I unfortunately saw after I ordered), it left something to be desired. It came with onion, shredded mozzarella, black olives, tomatoes and cucumber. The balsamic vinaigrette was too sweet and of a runny consistency. Not a fan. Will go back for a slice or two and would like to try some of the specialty pies. Hopefully they'll create a happy hour menu and a lunch specials menu soon. Note: they offer vegan cheese for a $1.60 upcharge on 10-inch ($2.35 on 14, and $3.99 on 16) Note: they spelled hummus wrong on the menu. Twice.

Great place! I don't know why it's taken me so long to stop in! The service was excellent, the pizza and salad lunch special more than filled me up without draining my wallet. I will definitely be back for dinner. This place has promise!

After taking part in the Great Urbancore Scavenger Hunt, my friends and I found ourselves at Ale Pie House for lunch. I can't remember what was in this building prior, but I think it has the particular charm for an Italian joint. Checkered tile floor, high booths and all. Additionally, it seemed that they pulled the music of the day straight from my own collection - The Beatles, Tom Petty, and all sorts of classic rock. I felt rather bad for our waiter as our party slowly trickled in due to everyone coming from opposite sides of town and riding in different cars. After finally getting everyone's drinks and some apps, we ordered. Ale Pie House has some particularly good lunch specials. The one that most in our party took part in was 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $4.99. I misjudged this deal greatly as I figured it too expensive. Each slice is about a 1/4 of a pizza, well worth the $4.99. I went with a sausage and pepper grinder which was huge too. Glancing through the menu, you might feel this place is a bit expensive, but of the portions that I witnessed, it really isn't. I haven't experienced enough of the menu to find a stand out dish, but so far I'm not unimpressed. While none of us drank on this occasion, I did glance at the drink menu. It's not very extensive, but holds local ales and some nice Italian wines. The unfortunate thing is that I think it may be cheaper to just go to the Intuition taproom and get a beer there, than to purchase one here. I was also a little taken aback by how much is charged per topping or the fact that there really aren't any specialty pies that include simple things like pepperoni and sausage or a light veggie. Lastly, a small pet peeve of our entire party was the misspelling of "hummus" as "humus." In my honest opinion, with fierce competitors such as Moon River, Carmine's and soon-to-be Mellow Mushroom not too far away, Ale Pie House is going to need to significantly step up their game to be able to pull in customers over those establishments.

If you are a misplaced Philadelphian or New Yorker, this is a great place to get a pie, some wings, and a lager. Compared to the pizza (is there any kind other than cheese), strombolis, and salads I've had in Philly and New Jersey, I'd give this place a 3.5, rounded up to 4 given the other two places I've eaten pizza at have odd-tasting wheat crust and bland sauce (Mellow) or bland sauce (Al's). The service here is hit or miss. Maybe there are a lot of inexperienced servers here; I always feel a sense of chaos amongst the help even when it isn't busy. The layout and overall appearance are fantastic and the selection of local beers (and Yuengling!) are great. In sum (out of 5 stars)- pizza 4, service 2-3, layout/feel 5, beer selection/bar 5. Averages out to a 4 but I'm giving it a 5 to make up for someone giving it a 1 star for not supporting a gluten-free lifestyle. If you require "special" food, be "special" at home or just eat a steak!

Have been here 2 more times since our initial visit....there is none better, not only in Jacksonville, but I would truly challenge on the East Coast, West of the Mississippi. The wait staff is exemplary and the food is truly, fabulous.

Meh is right. While I really enjoyed the look and decor of Ale's, it was pretty much downhill from there. Very similar menu to Carmine's, but with more emphasis on traditional Italian dishes. I had dinner at Ale's with a group of 8 last weekend and, while no one left angry, no one left impressed either. For appetizers we did an array of fried fingers foods like, Fried Green Beans, Mushrooms, and Zucchini Fries. These were all pretty good. For my entree, a friend and I split the Pita Caprese appetizer, a favorite of mine at Carmine's, but it just wasn't as good here. They used melted mozzarella instead of the fresh Buffalo version I'd come to love. Also no jalapenos on this one and it was just sort of bland overall. Some of the boys who had Lasagna said it was really good, so I will say that. Now for the bad, two friends at our table ordered the Baked Ziti and, though it looked awesome when it came out, they dug into find icy-cold centers in both dishes. Yuck. I also tried a bite of a tablemate's Spicy Pepper Jack pie and did not care for it at all. Maybe a real Mexi lover would like it, but I just thought the flavors were strangely off. I'll give Ale's another go as they work the kinks out, but this visit was less than exemplary and, if you read my reviews, you know I'm pretty easy to please!

One look at the Ale Pie House menu and you can see where the comparisons to Carmines comes from. Their specialty pizza menu is similar in that they have some familiar favorites like BLT, vegetarian, and meat lovers coupled with some unique offerings like yummy hummus and ale fruit pie (seriously, a fruit pizza) along with other specialty pizzas. The ambiance is a lot different too as the staircase in the center of the restaurant and the outdoor patio seating gives the place a classy Mediterranean type vibe. I ordered a fried mushroom app for the table and the gyro wrap for my entree. While I know that gyros are kind of odd for an Italian restaurant, the promise of it being on a homemade pita intrigued me. The app was alright. It came with a decent amount of shrooms. The taste was OK, but I'm fairly certain they were frozen. The gyro was enormous and tasted so-so. The homemade pita that I was curious about was of the flat bread variety rather than a traditional round pocket pita that most of us are accustomed to. It was light and airy, yet had enough substance to hold the contents together well. Due to the size of the wrap, I only ate half before calling it quits. The portion offering for the rest of my table's entrees were also very generous. Another pleasant surprise was that they sold Cheesecake factory desserts which are displayed at the register. While the Pie House is a nice place to visit, there wasn't anything that really wowed me. If you're around the area, it's worth a shot. But with other restaurants in the area of the same genre that offer similar menu items, it may be a while before I check back into the Ale Pie House for any Italian/Pizza cravings.

We have recently begun visiting Ale Pie House for Monday night trivia and we are now addicted! The Italian food is authentic. Don't come if you are in a rush - the food is made to order. One nice thing about here vs other local Pizza places is that they are more than willing to substitute ingredients! I have dietary restrictions and they are VERY accommodating! The mushroom ravioli is spectacular! The desserts are brought in from outside - but they bring them from an Italian bakery so it is definitely worth having!

I have ordered from here a few times and everything I have had so far has been awesome the chicago pizza is crazy filling as are the calzones. The subs are a hidden gem. The provolone in the turkey & cheese is the best. Best philly cheese steak in riverside and best meatball sub!

We came in late, are the only customers left and the staff is still extremely polite. The pizza and garlic cheese bread was great. We'll be back for sure. Oh, and the beer selection is top notch with an all night happy hour on Mondays!

It's hard to find a place that will delivery more than just junk food. I can't believe it is only a $10 minimum with just a $1.00 delivery fee. Unfortunately for my waist I can have delicious Chicken Piccata delivered to me.

I went on a beautiful Saturday, so I demanded we sit outside on the nice little patio. I looked over the menu and it was the garden variety of dishes at most other Italian/pizza joints - pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, paninis, and other traditional Italian fare. I knew I wanted to try the pizza, so we went ahead and ordered appetizers to taste a little more of the menu. I ordered fried ravioli, but fried mozzarella is what showed up to the table. The waitress seemed very confused and inexperienced. The miscommunication was quickly corrected, and the fried ravioli was brought out. It was the standard fried ravioli you can find at Al's Pizza, Olive Garden, and a plethora of other places. It was a bit of a disappointment because I'd love to see a place make their own from scratch. Don't get me wrong; the ravioli was good. I'm just picky. And because they jumped off the menu and screamed "ORDER ME!", we also got a round of bacon cheese fries. Nothing super special here. Just thick steak fries covered in bacon and cheese. Then came the pizza. I ordered two slices: one with my precious bacon and feta, the other with sausage and goat cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to see goat cheese on the toppings list. I wanted to pair it with prosciutto (because YUM), but alas, prosciutto wasn't listed under toppings. Everything about this place was average. The food was good, but nothing really stood out. With Mellow Mushroom opening just down the road at the Avondale Shoppes, and Moon River down the street on Edgewood, Ale Pie House really needs to find something special in order to compete. Their craft beer selection was the typical Bold City and Intuition, so not even that is stellar (oh, and an Intuition King St Stout was $6.50, so I was a little shocked).

We tried this place for the first time on Friday night. We got seated right away (they got busier as the night went on, but weren't too crowded when we arrived). The service was good, our server seemed a little frazzled as more people came in and they got busier, but she kept up pretty well. We wanted to order the fried mozzerella but they were out, so we got the fried ravioli app instead. It was good, the same as what they have at Al's, but we love it so we didn't mind! The marinara they had with it was very good, tasted homemade to me. For dinner, we shared a chicken and pepperoni calzone. The others in our group got pizza and calzones. Our calzone was HUGE and really good! We usually share one at Al's and finish it, but this one was so big that we only ate half between the two of us and saved the other half (mmmm, lefotvers!). I especially enjoyed the crust, it was garlicky, buttery, and a very nice texture. The filling was wonderful as well. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meal too. Looking forward to next time!

You know, I think this place is pretty good. My bf and I had a great date here. We sat outside on the patio and the service was fantastic. We shared some pizza and a dessert and took plenty home for leftovers! We had a few beers, they had a pretty good selection. We enjoyed ourselves. :)

I've only been once and will probably edit this review but I can safely say the hamburger pizza was delicious! Their slices are huge. We had a big group and ordered 7 different pizzas so we had a good spread. Meat lovers, margarita, cheddar jack, and some other delicious options. I'm definitely going back.

The pizza slices here are so large! It is perfect for me and my husband because we don't like the same toppings. I got two slices of pepperoni and mushroom and he gets sausage and beef. Cheese Slices are $2.75 and I think .50 cents per topping. I love the sauce here! The side salad is huge! I had the turkey wrap for lunch ($8.99 with a Diet Coke) and it was just awesome, enough leftover for 3 meals! We go to the Monday night trivia, it is busy and fun. I love the food at this place. I think they get a great takeout business. I hope they can stand up against the giant new Mellow Mushroom down the road. This is a great family owned place with genuine pizza that is just the best I have tried!

A delightful change to the boring chains. We love this place! We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! The service has always been wonderful and very helpful in guiding us with our choices and tons of choices. We have tried several of the dishes and so far our favorites have been Bacon Cheese fries Yumm! Lots of toppings and nice thick fries Shrimp poppers ! I great twist on the boring poppers so many other places serve Fried mushrooms ! Nice flavor and not your typical bland ones Antipasto salad Huge!! And great assortment Greek Salad! Really wonderful assortment and huge! Chicago beef sandwich! Delish and being from Chicago it brought us back home Lobster Ravioli Huge plate and great flavor Chicago style pizza our favorite is a very different from the norm being the "We Call It Pesto Pie"! The combination is tantalizing on the taste buds with the sweet from the pineapple really complimenting the goat cheese and pesto. I could add a few more but these are our favorites. Everything is portioned BIG so expect to bring some home unless you have a huge appetite. I also recommend not leaving without desert! Again big portions of melt in your mouth yumm!! The cannolis are my favorite , however the cakes are divine. I will keep coming back!

The atmosphere is great, a modern looking restaurant in what used to be an old jewelers shop. They have old music playing in the background (Sinatra, Nat King Cole) and locals sitting at the bar chatting having a drink watching the football game. I went in wanting some Italian and got it. The hostess sat us immediately and then the waitress was right behind here to take our drink orders. They have a good local beer selection. They are known for their pizza but let me tell you their dinner dishes are just as good. I got a "small" salad that could have been a whole meal. Another person at the table got the Caprese salad which was twice as big as mine. The good did take some time to get out to us but I enjoyed the fact that they were freshly made and didn't taste like they were made that morning. I ordered the Manicotti dinner and got this HUGE portion. The dinner came in a bowl twice the size of my head. The sauce was excellent and didn't taste like it was from a can. All and a good experience with good food and great atmosphere.

We've been meaning to give this place a try and were very pleased with our service, pizza and beer. Nice selection of beer with a number of local drafts. Service was very friendly and we really enjoyed the pizza. Very nice flavor to the sauce and the crust was just right. We will be back. Also, to the reviewer that made the contention that one must be Italian to run a pizza place, that's the most ridiculous thing I've read on Yelp.

Solid pizza place with local beers on tap. Looks modern and well appointed on the inside and has plenty of seating. Recently went here with my wife and three young kids which is always a test. Service was friendly and good and the pizza was delicious. You can get the pizzas in New York or Chicago style. We are fans of the thin greasy New York style that we can fold in half and eat. It wasn't the best New York style I've had, but is was very tasty and it looked great too. We got the carrot cake and tres leches to go. Both were awesome. We saw a couple of the salads that other tables ordered and they looked pretty great too. Not sure why it's doing bad on yelp. It's a three and a half to four star for me easy.

For the person who said the negative reviews were from people who might work for Carmines. That is hysterical! Sounds like you work for Ale Pie House with your review. I don't work for them. Never worked for a restaurant in my life. Have now tried the Pie House twice to give them a fair shot. Both times there was bad service and mediocre food. Hopefully if you do work for Ale Pie House, you wil take the feedback and help make it a success! No one wants to see a restaurant fail in this economy!

My father was in the hospital for a few days and someone recommend this place to get salads for dinner. I found the chicken was over powered by a pepper taste and the Greek salsa was awful. We had to pay an up charge to get just lettuce and I asked for no peppers or onions which they put on anyways. We didn't get the stuffed grape leaves and the feta was awful. The two salads came up to $25. I was so upset and to make matters worse the staff was unbelievable rude. It took more then ten minutes to order on the phone and when I went to pickup the order. I stood there for a good five to eight minutes not even being acknowledge. Then some guy came up to me and said "what do you need?" When I asked for some forks it was like I asked for them to donate a kidney. I will never go back!! Which is sad I can take a lot of crap but for some reason this place just upset me with there food and poor service.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
