A Little Bit of Saigon Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

LToday was my first time visiting this place and I would definitely come again! I entered and asked if I could order to go. The server said I could sit at a table and gave me a glass of ice water while I browsed the menu, which was extremely nice of him! I ordered the pork chops and rice (don't remember the viet name). The order came with 2 medium sized pork chops, rice and pickled veggies all for $8, which is pretty cheap for a rice plate! The only downsides are that the veggies didn't have as strong of a 'pickle' and that the menu is quite limited. But I did see on the menu that they had creme brûlée, which I was surprised to see! I will be back to try more of their food! TLDR: polite, cheap, limited menu, weak pickled veggies, delicious, did not try their pho

Excellent Pho. The C01 was enough to share for two, and was delicious. The cooked beef was outstanding, as was the service.

Maybe we were there on an off day? It was alright. If I go back and have a different experience, I'll update my review. I had the C02 and it was not worth $8. It had a decent amount of meat but I wasn't really satisfied. The flavor wasn't all there. The only thing that stood out was the meatballs. Seems homemade and was soft and meaty. There's a few other pho places that I'll still go to before coming back here.

Food was great but service was fair to poor. Had questions about the menu that were ignored, and did not receive any courtesy check on after the food was brought to the table. Checked on other customers multiple times but didn't check on my table once. Service plays a big roll in eating out, and this service was nothing near the best. Would give an "A" for food but "D" for service.

Very authentic. Best pho this side of town. Being vietnamese I have high expectations for authenticity. This place hits the spot for whatever your palate craves.

This place is great. Just got the pork chops with fried egg and not is sooo delicious and good portion. The owners are great and very nice. They remember you every time you go back. I have had the pho and spring rolls and they are the best.

4th check in 1 at review This place has a small menu but is pretty much the best thing around. All items are well prepared, fresh ingredients. Nice calm ambiance .. Worthy of 5 stars

Another place. I had the beef ribs with the sunny side up egg on top. The ribs was extremely tasty. One of my favorite dishes I've ever had. Also had the shrimp salad appetizer and dud not realize how spicy it was. If you like spicy it's very good. Nice coffee was good but prefer Thai iced coffee. A must go to place. Nothing fancy but great food nice people.

Pho broth was light and flavorful. I can't wait to try other dishes. The owner was super nice and helpful and recommended places in the area for me. Update: had the goi cuon and creme brûlée. Delish!

This place is a hidden gem. If you want authentic Vietnamese food, look no further cause here it is. The owner/server is really welcoming, enjoys a chat, remembers his patrons, helpful with picking dishes and overall, nice. It's a home-style feel type restaurant. They've also updated their menu and got rid of the paper ones and added a few items. The menu is small, but they definitely know what they're cooking up. The Pho has an authentic taste and portion is great. I've also tried a bunch of the other items on the menu and it's terrific. I'd suggest trying their Bun Mang Ga (Chicken vermicilli noodle soup), it's quite good and something different. I've tried a lot of Pho joints in JAX... I have to say this one knocks Bowl of Pho out of the park, at least for me.

I first tried this place a few days ago, and the pho was so good that I had to have it again yesterday. Last time I said that this place has the best pho in Jax, and my opinion has not changed after this visit. I ordered the Saigon bowl again, and everything was perfect: perfect meat/meatballs/tripes, perfect broth, and perfect noodles. My wife just came here from Vietnam several years ago, and she said the pho here reminded her of the pho she had when she was back in Saigon. It is the best pho she has had since coming to 'Murica. Yes, the pho is that good here. My wife ordered the Vermicelli noodles with BBQ chop pork served with homemade fish sauce, and that was also very tasty. However, she said the vermicelli noodles at PK Noodles is better. For vermicelli noodles, we think that PK Noodles is the best, then A Little Bit of Saigon, and the worst is at Bowl of Pho. In conclusion, this is the only place I'll go to for some good pho from now on.

So I've interviewed the proprietor Alex about his pho- so let's get to it, shall we? Pho is a labor of love. Let's be honest- most places start with water, cubes and anise/spices Alex and his joint start with slow roasted beef bones. Then they siphon off every ounce of 'what you don't want to eat' and reduce that. Then they start to flavor. Naturally. Alex won't let me see that part. Because it's secret- and because it results in one of the best broths this side of the pacific. Is it flavor packed? hell yes it is. Then let's talk about the meat. His family slow roasts the brisket. His family slow roasts the tendon, so much so that bites of it dissolve into mouth gravy (trademark) and others retain texture that lets you know that you're there. Back to the brisket- we're talking meaty, honest, did i mention meaty? Then there are the meatballs. They make them...ahem...from scratch! Look people, asian meatballs from all varieties are invariably rubbery, flavorless, and just sort of...there... Not here my friends.. These things pack a textural, garlicky, offaly punch that is so unique and delicious you will want to order extra for your pho just to make yourself feel better about yourself. No bullshit. This place is just too good for it's own good. (but that creme brulee though!)

Sometimes a girl just wants some pho. Unfortunately this girl always has to cross the bridge to find the good stuff. Hopped over to Little Bit of Saigon and filled my soul with a big bowl of Vietnamese goodness. I've actually been to this location before as I believe it was a sushi restaurant in a previous life. The menu is small, but they still have everything I wanted. A big bowl of pho with rare beef & all the fixings. This time I opted for the beef balls - which I don't usually do, and probably won't do again. I like just a simple bowl with lots of rare beef. Service was quick and my lunch was just at $10 including tip! I went home a happy girl with a tummy full of warmth.

The food is amazing and is at such a great price. The only place I eat Vietnamese food at! Recommend: Pho, Bahn Mi, Short RIbs...pretty much everything!

A gem of a restaurant snuck into a small corner of a shopping plaza, this Vietnamese is legit! The proprietor Alex and his parents are in the back whipping up unctuous pho with all the meats. Even their flavor forward garlicky meatballs are homemade. You can't really go wrong with the small curated menu, but I also recommend the seafood crepe, galette rolls and the beef short ribs. Eat here and bring the streets of Saigon to you!

Best pho place in JAX. The staff is always so friendly and their food is always fresh and tasty! They also make the best peanut sauce for their spring rolls! Yum! My favorite is the chicken pho but my boyfriend really enjoys the Saigon bowl. It's always perfect on a rainy JAX day!

My husband and I ate here today. The Pho was AMAZING. So delicious, clean, and fresh!!!! We also had the salad rolls with shrimp and pork, also incredibly tasty. My husband had the cornish game hen which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. This is our new favorite place!!!!

I love Pho and have tried different Pho restaurants all over the Country and in Jacksonville. This is honestly the best Pho in Jacksonville and as good as the best I've had anywhere. The duck salad is amazing! Love this place.

I was just coming home from the doctor and feeling miserable. Called in without a menu and Alex was awesome. Asked a few questions and lead me in the right direction. I ordered the pho with various meats and tendon as well as the shrimp and pork spring rolls all to go. I had enough for 2 meals. Omg it was all so incredibly delicious I will be going again really soon. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

Amazing service, authentic cuisine, for an affordable price. A little bit of Saigon is my favorite vietmenese place in jax. The atmosphere is both cozy and clean, and the food is simply delicious. I've had their pho, Com Ga Roti, and the duck soup. The pho is distinguished by tender, delicious meat (I rarely enjoy meatballs in pho, but theirs are delectable). The com ga roti is an ample serving of sweet, well cooked hen, but I would recommend asking for an egg (or two) for your rice. The duck stands out for it's simple, fresh ingredients and tasty execution.

Our favorite pho place in all of Jax. We've been to quite a few in town but their broth has a clean-tasting clarity to it that we really enjoy. We have had their pork chops over rice, which comes with fried eggs and is generous in portion. For an appetizer, we tried their rice paper galette rolls wrapped with shrimp and meat, an item unique to this restaurant, and we have ordered it everytime since. Delish. We also just recently tried their creme brulee for dessert, which for a pho place, you would not expect it to even be on the menu but it is so smooth while not being overly sweet, another favorite of ours! The owners are retired and they do this as their "side gig" and their son waits tables. Super friendly and congenial. As you converse with them, they treat you like family. It's pretty nondescript from the outside as one of a few stores in a strip mall on the side but we wish we would have found this gem sooner! Can't recommend it highly enough.

The pho was amazing, as many other reviewers have said. What impressed me most though was the service. Both my friend and I were sick and the server brought us freshly brewed ginger tea for absolutely free. It was such a kind gesture and greatly appreciated-- the tea was delicious and great for our throats. We will both definitely be coming back.

Promised an update! I think this little Vietnamese restaurant is great, but it's not my favorite go-to for pho in Jacksonville. I've been to A (Little) Bit of Saigon a handful of times since they opened nearly two months ago. Since my apartment is within walking distance of the restaurant and they replaced an absolutely awful sushi place, it peaked my interest more than usual. The pho here is DELICIOUS. For me, though, my dining experiences thus far have had their own distinct negative factors, which is why I only give them three stars as I did in my first review. First, here's why I love A Bit of Saigon: 1. Yummy, allergy-thwarting pho 2. Cheap pho (only one size, comparable to "large" at other restaurants, for $7!!) 3. Chili paste, sriracha, hoisin sauce, soy sauce AND light soy sauce on each table (not all pho places offer all of these), although the broth is rich in flavor on its own 4. Convenience for me 5. Water is brought automatically And here's why I still raise an eyebrow: 1. I order rare steak pho, which is on the menu. Steak is NEVER rare when the bowl is brought out. 2. I'm always the only person there besides the waiter and cook. 3. On one of my visits, I was greeted by a mysteriously overwhelming bathroom smell the entire time... 4. No cilantro is offered. I'll be back soon for a great deal on scrumptious soup!

Blew my mind! Portions were huge and oh so good! The tea I think was Jasmine and was delicate and refreshing. We ordered Vietnamese coffee to go which I could do daily from there!

Exceptional Vietnamese cuisine. We stopped here from our trip to FL. Pho and duck salad , Bun Mang are perfect choice for a rainy evening. The food were so fresh and tastefully done like Vietnamese home cooking. It's too bad our home is in SF Bay Area which makes our return to this restaurant a bit to far for us.

  • Troy W.

Felt like a bit of an outsider at first, but once the food starting hitting the table and we (me and the server) figured out we held a similar love for West coast IPA's it was fun. Food was excellent. I don't know much about this cuisine, but I enjoyed eating it.

I love th at the Vietnamese food scene are finally making its grand entrance into Jacksonville. I order the E03 for my main entree and I absolutely loved it. The pork chop could use a bit more flavor but the fishsauce made up for it. Staff are attentive and hilarious! I told him I was hungry he said he likes people who are hungry. Well, dude, I like you too! Why the lessen star? Their menu are VERY limited. I mean like probably less than one two-sided page that most other vietnamese restaurants around here have. I was more inclined settling on a choice rather than picking mine since there was only three choices under rice plates.

My new favorite Pho restaurant in Jacksonville, move over Bowl of Pho. Taste of Saigon has the most authentic and incredible Vietnamese in town, all at an amazingly low price.

Went straight for the pork chops with rice and fried egg rolls The food was excellent these are hands down the biggest chops of all viet restaurants in Jax as I have had them all. Atmosphere is quiet and nice the server was helpful and friendly. The pork chops have very good flavor and thick! Usually everywhere else has these thin sliced and tiny!! Enjoy it and I will be back to try more Oh add a fried egg!!

It doesn't get much better than this. Great, fresh food served promptly by the owner, Alex. Amazing flavors. No lines, traffic, plenty of parking, and you get gourmet flavor for Eight dollars!!! Perfect.

Great place! Love the lemongrass beef and everything is fresh. Very different from the many vietnamese restaurants around town and flavors are unique and yummy. Definitely recommend!

This place is tucked away in a strip mall by Kernan. It is a nice space to have lunch. I enjoyed my Pho from here (rare steak with beef balls) It came with the standard Pho garnishes (bean sprouts, basil, and jalapenos) I also noticed other diners drinking the homemade pineapple drink (which looked delicious) I would return! The waiter was really nice as well. Needed to add more stars! I enjoy coming here and also for takeout. This is my new favorite spot close to home! (I'm never moving, I'm surrounded by so many options for food)

Just a fantastic experience start to finish. Best pho we've had in jacksonville. Wonderful service. The ingredients were all so fresh and full of flavor. The chicken tasted fresh and delicious. Our server made my husband some homemade hot ginger tea for his sore throat. We also loved the homemade ginger soda. Just the right amount of sweetness and so refreshing. We will be back. This was an excellent find.

It's not bad but def better pho in jax. The spring rolls however were delicious. They were also quite large. But we came for pho and our craving was left unsatisfied so we had to get pho the next night somewhere else. The broth wasn't very complex. Tasted like black pepper. I had many gross bits in my white meat chicken and a bone. No cilantro to add in!!! Some of the other meal items might b good but the pho is not one of them.

Ok so I basically ate mostly everything on the menu. But guess what? They got a secret menu which including vietnamese crepe and grills short ribs rice plate. Super yummy but you have to ask for it. I'm vietnamese and I like everything on the menu oh yeah...btw it's a family run business so if you like to support local business this is a great little restaurant to goto. Also known as "A Bit of Saigon". Went back there again and this place remains as one of my "Go To" places :). Quick and Yummy, not to mention pocket friendly. This time I tried menu item E02-- grilled pork chop with shredded pork and fried eggs on top, I think it was $8. The Bomb! Pour the sauce all over your rice and the fresh veggies that comes with it and you end up with plateful of goodness!! :)

Awesome place. Best pho in Jax. You can small and taste the freshness. Place like BOP lost there touch and now only serving low quality broth. I would recommend this to everyone.
