You would think they'd have more to offer. It's more like a siopao bakery. They have ensemada, which is good. Their pandesal isn't fresh. That's what I was really looking forward to. The pandesal they do offer isn't baked there. It's shipped in and not really all that great.

A & D Manila Bakery offers variety of Filipino baked goods such as siopao (chicken or pork), ensaymada, pan de sal, hopia (beans or pork), pan de leche, and others. I love their pork hopia and pan de leche the best. They have the best lechon kawali in town. Crispy on the outside and tender meat on the inside. Just the way I like it. I've also tried their pork sinigang, adobo, dinuguan, fried tilapia and pancit. Mmmm Mmmm great! Authentic Filipino food here! You have to come in early though because they run out quickly. They only cook enough for the day. Friendly staff. Sometimes, I have to call-in and reserve some lechon to carry-out. On their frozen section, they have eggrolls, empanada, and longanisa (sweet sausage) to take home.

Being that it's located so close to home, this is one of my go-to spots when I need a fast filipino food fix. Granted, the offerings are nowhere near as good as moms, but the portions are generous and the food as well as their baked goods are fresh and tasty, so this place serves as a viable substitute. It's a take-out joint, so don't come here expecting a dine-in experience. It's pick what you want, get what you want, and go. But each time I've paid this place a visit, the service was friendly, and the guy (owner?) didn't mind answering my "what's this?" and "what's that?" questions. Food: Combo Plate, which is two food choices, served with 2 scoops of white rice. My faves are the beef stew (beef, carrots, potatoes in a tomato-based sauce) and the pancit (rice noodles with pork, cabbage, carrots, and green beans). When pancit isn't offered that day, I go with the fried battered pork chop. This is some yummy grub, Yeeps. Even if you've never had filipino food before, don't be shy to ask about the different dishes. They're more than happy to describe not only the ingredients but the flavor profile of each dish! I also grab mom some sinigang (stew flavored with a tamarind base with eggplant, okra, pork, fish sauce and tomatoes) while I'm there when I want to surprise her with dinner. Baked Goods: I like the mocha roll and the butter and cheese ensemada the best, but they also have steamed and baked siopau (barbequed pork bun) which are also both very good. Wrap-Up: This joint is located in the Orange Park area, on 103rd street (inside the Publix Shopping Center, on the far left side, next to the corner store). They give you a good amount of food at reasonable prices, and with a smile at that! Stop in and give this place a try if you're in the area! Support your local eats and two thumbs up for A&D Manila Bakery!

Love this place.. It's a carry-out place, there's a few chairs though if u really wanna sit facing the wall. Food is great BUT when it's gone, it's gone. They don't keep cooking all day. They bake pan de sal on Saturdays.

Loved this place, we got takeout dinner last night and went into it not really knowing what to expect, so we just got a bunch of things. Everything savory was fantastic, particularly the big steamed roll sandwich things. We also got a large pork roll-"pork, very tasty" with raisins onions carrots and spices that the woman said we could eat with rice or bread, and some meat filled dumpling pastries to bake. The only thing we werent nuts about was the caramel rice cake dessert- could have skipped that happily- I'm sure it was made properly, just not our cup of tea. Wish it were closer to home.
