Not too shabby! Good food. Good beer. Nice place for lunch. Typical Mexican food but yum yum yum.

Not my favorite, not the worst, surprisingly, when it comes to Tex-Mex restaurants. It is small in size and kind of cramped, although clean. The one thing that I find odd is when the waiters stare at you constantly, I thought it was me, but others have said the same. It made me uncomfortable. The food itself is fine taste wise. I've found myself hungry an hour or two after eating though. Not very filling. My husband has gotten sick twice after eating the shredded beef. We probably won't be back.

Been going here a few months, a few things to note. It is typically close to capicity. Might want to arrive a bit before noon to avoid a wait. I keep hearing the food is not spicy hot. Is it served medium to mild spice level on many items, but the local Ranchito will have things like El Yucateco Chile Habanero sauce and Cholula hot sauce to get it to your particular level of hot. You get the idea. This is a strip mall location with hard working staff who ensure the basics are covered. No white table cloths, no dim lighting, no claims designed to elevate their place in the restaurant world. Just good basic food at a very reasonable price. The average appetite will be full before the meal is done. Clean environment, friendly wait staff. No qualms with this one.

I have been in three times in the last month. Food is great! The real deal Mexican and pretty darn quick service. The employees need a class in attitude though, or to find work elsewhere.

My first impressions were that it was a small business in a good location near the movie theater, but trying too hard with its look and overall atmosphere. The food was exceptional though. I got the chicken enchiladas deluxe which came with beans and rice. I ate everything. The service was slightly below par. We each ordered mountain dew and the server brought sprite and diet coke to the table before we let him know we ordered mountain dews. They all seemed to be standing around and talking a bit too but it didn't really get in the way of taking orders and bringing food out. Overall it was a pretty good experience

Pretty good food and service every time my husband and I go. We do however enjoy Don PEPE's in Dunnellon a little more.

A nice little mexican restaurant with good food. Homemade salsa is delicious. I enjoy their cheese enchiladas.

We are from out of town and wanted Mexican-thought we would give them a shot. The food was mediocre at best and the staff wasn't friendly. Keep looking.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
