The food was great and the portions were perfect. I would definitely come back here the next time we are in town. I would recommended the surf and turf with the jack Daniels sauce The service was perfect and very attentive.

A local, friendly and comfortable place just a short walk from the ocean. My absolute favorite go to for rained out beachdays with my fabulously salty friends. Has a simple lunch menu of bar food(except the steak strips mmm) and is reasonably priced to boot. You can sit outdoors and enjoy great weather and the bartenders are amazing. My only suggestion is to acquire a live acoustic or perhaps reggae singer for the weekend days. They only thing that could make the atmosphere better(in my opinion) would be live music.

The burgers are pretty good. There is a full bar, which is never a bad thing. They have an entire outside seating area. The service is pretty bad and they don't have a frier (so no French fries & limited appetizers). They don't even have any desserts.. It's right next to the beach so it has a great location. If you were at the beach and wanted to grab a quick snack to go then Ichabod's is not a bad place to get food from. However, I don't recommend coming if you plan on having a sit down meal or if you're under the age of 30. The vibe is geared towards the older crowd.

Food is actually decent, but God help you if you ever have to deal with the older perverted blonde bartender. Slowest service I've ever experienced. And inappropriate comments from the old beast. I'll award them one of top 5 worst service experiences of my life. Don't hire drunks to take care of customers. Even worse don't hire complete idiots.

Great menu, awesome location, and the only bar in the whole area that plays sound on games!! :) but they have a few bad apples on staff. One of the cooks just can't cook and a few of the bartenders are too drunk to give good service. I complained to management twice and let them know how rude and sloppy the staff is, and he seemed indifferent and when I let him know that I also saw an employee stick his dirty hand in someone's shot to pull out a bug and then served it to him the manager said "that happens all the time it's not a big deal" there's a chick bartender there that has an OBNOXIOUS laugh that's about 130 decibels and it goes off like a tornado siren about every 10 seconds and I have actually had friends want to leave because they are so annoyed by the theatrics and her bi-polar attitude towards customers including myself. I would definitely recommend this place if there is a good cook in the kitchen, notably -not the one who openly smokes weed right next to the outside bar on his breaks right in front of customers. But if it's anyone else, just remember that you may have to remind the drunk bartenders to check on your food and it wouldn't hurt to have circles of care on speed dial.. Js. The local service industry people have always told me to stay away from that place because the service is so terrible, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Go see Nick, the new guy.. He is always courteous, timely, never gets an order wrong and always makes sure everyone is happy at the bar.

It's a nice place to meet up with a few friends to have drinks. You can sit outside on the deck right across the street from the ocean and enjoy the breeze. The service I experienced was good and the food, although somewhat limited, was fantastic. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for a nice beachside bar and grill.

This is one of those comfortable neighborhood restaurant/bars which survives because of regulars. I like places like this because the bartenders are cool, the food is a hidden gem, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the people around you are friendly. And for a restaurant near the beach, the restroom was surprisingly clean.

This place has always been a really great beachside/party bar.. But on a recent stop in, I was like, WOW! It looks like they've done some serious remodelling and the new decor defintely takes it up a notch. They also updated their menu and there are lots of new goodies to choose from. We had the steak appetizer and it was friggin' amazing, especially for a bar!! Another thing I noticed is that it's finally no smoking inside!!!! It's about time on that one! There really aren't that many amazing beachside bars in the Melbourne Beach area unless you make the trek to Vero or Cocoa beach, so by all means.. go have a cocktail and some grub at this place. It's practically right on the beach, stiff drinks and a sea breeze..what's not to love?

What a gem. I went to catch a soccer game and grab a bite to eat, and I was blown away. The staff is friendly, food is awesome! And environment is great. It was so good I came back the next day, and was even more impressed. If you haven't been, you should defiantly try it. Burgers are good, fish dip amazing, and wings if you get them well done are good too. We will definitely be going back more often.

I will start by saying the service was great but...only three beers on tap. The liquor options were very basic. The food was confusing. I had blackened Mahi Mahi which was OK but the sides offered were baby garlic potatoes, cole slaw, or grilled veggies. I had the veggies and potatoes which came in a oily buttery sauce....kind of mushy. Now the waitress did tell me that they are known for their burgers but no fries since they do not have a fryer. Honestly I should have just stayed at the hotel and ate. Quality of the food is the same...maybe better and the beer and liquor selection broader. This is one time that the reviews of Yelp were completely off. It is barely average but I am giving it three stars for the service.....of course there were only five people n the place.

This is a bar that serves food. We went while in town. We just wanted an easy dinner that wasn't too expensive. This was no disappointment. We walked in, saw the large bar, but were able to find a table for 7. We didn't go here to drink, we just went for the burgers which we heard were good. They were very good burgers and I suggest anyone in the area looking for one, take a look.

I am writing this review for those of you travelers who, like me, want to head out for a drink and are never sure about that moment when you will walk into a local bar and might face disaster. I was there in non-tourist season and it was pleasant, stocked with friendly locals, and a well spent evening. Coming from Chicago the bar prices seemed low (I came from dinner and did not try the menu), I couldn't tell if people were smoking inside or not, and the bartender was friendly. It has a sports-bar vibe but was a good mellow place for a drink and a conversation. My usual hotel is just down the road, so I will be back and approve this venue for travelers!
