Great place if you like great service and loud music late into the Night! We do so it was perfect!
You need to come drink and second-hand smoke at this place! While on a community socialization trip with a few clients from the mental health residential program I supervise and in need of anonymity, I happened in to this perfect dive bar on the island. Budding dirtbag hipsters in a smoke-filled bar with shot specials called names like "Smurf Pussy" "Tie Me' and "Phaser Taser" (to name just a few) made for a fun bar-hop adventure late one Sunday night. When I asked the green Mohawk sprouting bartender if they served food he replied "yeah, I just ordered some pizza from Domino's. Want a slice?" In between the Irish Car Bomb swilling dorks and the Vapor pen smoking biker babe I settled in for a few hours of cultural observation and self reflective me-time interrupted only by my clients incessant curiosity and questioning about how the different drafts might affect their medications if they had taken them that day. A fun time was had by all and I'll return again some day as soon as this nicotine buzz wears off. The only thing I regret is not checking out the restrooms at this place because I'm guessing I could write another 3 paragraphs about them.
What a great dive bar. Excellent place for happy hour 6 to 9 p.m.. Buy one get one. Beer is ice cold. Bartenders are funny and friendly. Definitely be back!

If your in the area and in the mood for a great breakfast with a relaxed atmosphere.... This is your spot! Don't be dissuaded from eating here because of its strip mall location. Your on an island....it is what it is. Go inside and if the waits to long for a table, sit at the bar. Great breakfast!!! Very friendly staff. They have a rather large menu for such a small spot. They will combine and create almost any dish you'd want for breakfast. Customizable dishes. I wanted to try everything but limited myself to the corned beef & hash with 2 egg whites scrambled, side of bacon ( I know....) added a small side of grits and sausage gravy...(I know-don't judge me...) Their corned beef and hash is good but it's more hash than corned beef. A little heavy on the onion side of things, but well prepared. The grits were average, not stoneground, but good. Bacon crisp & the gravy was homemade. I would definitely recommend this place. Try the fruit stuffed French toast ....or at least a bowl of fresh fruit - so fresh you'll have to slap it.... And don't forget the bacon....
Had breakfast here this morning, we had the best server Lizzy she made the experience for us. She was very nice and made great suggestions for us. The peach pancakes were awesome, they refill your coffee just before you get to the bottom of your cup, perfectly cooked eggs, all in all a great breakfast place.
Clean, fast, efficient and *friendly* service every time! No wonder Peach's is a Florida favorite. For breakfast they have a few varieties of Eggs Benedict, loads of pancake, waffle and omelette options...and even healthy stuff for people with more willpower than us! (-: Costs around $10 per person with tip.

What a wonderful experience. Walking distance from our cottage, we took a leisurely stroll in a very warm evening just to take a look. We were greeted at the door by an effervescent doorman who insisted, if nothing else, we stop in for a drink and cool off. He wouldn't take no for an answer. We were soon at the very selective bar with a pleasant guitarist playing softly as we stared at the high end distillations cheerfully lit at the bar. Within minutes we had a seat by the window with a wonderful view of the ocean. The proximity of other diners reminded me of French and Italian restaurants in Manhattan, very cozy. Our waiter was helpful and soon we were enjoying a great watermelon salad and caesar salad. The caesar was very subtle, without the tremendous anchovy salt content of the homemade variety. The watermelon salad had aged basalmic vinegar, goat cheese, watercress and candied pumpkin seeds. It was simultaneously savory and thirst quenching. My wife opted for a couple of small plates: the lobstercargot and a scallop curry, whereas I chose the "Food Heaven." It was a decadent combination of lobster, lamb chops and foie gras. The foie gras was decent, not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the review from John S. I read here. The lobster was perfectly prepared and the lamb chops were some of the best I've ever tried, perfectly seared without a tremendous lot of fat. Desserts were also exceptional. I had the Sundae with a wonderful caramel sauce. The bill arrived and was, as expected, quite high. But for the level of service we received and the quality of the food, it was worth every penny. As we left the maitre'd called us by name and wished us a wonderful evening.
A true 5 star experience, really in a class by itself. Probably the most expensive restaurant in West Florida, and probably the best. Check the menu online before going, but keep in mind that pricey as it is, for the discerning it is also worth it. That is very hard to pull off. For many this is a special occasion destination, and even if it isn't, it will be. Famous for their Fois Gras (the humane method) from Hudson River Valley, and a Bouillabaisse that may be the best you will ever have. Well, it would reduce a Parisian to tears, let's just say that. But everything on the menu is a culinary experience: fresh caught Gulf seafood, perfect steaks, and escargot where lobster stands in for the snail. Try their Old Fashioned if you are the cocktail type- even if you're not: they're unique.
WOW. Just wow. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance. The smoked salmon, lobster escargot, and foie gras were delicious!! The boullaibaise and filet mignon to die for. The desserts... Wow. Mmmmmmm!!!!!

Great dive burger joint. Cold beer- cash only -pay at the end. Love it.
If you love a perfectly executed burger, ice cold draft beer and a kitschy and friendly atmosphere, Skinnys is not to be missed. Bring cash and be prepared to watch the entire staff sweat with effort to deliver great service. You won't find a team that works harder.
Great place to grab a burger! Cash only. Very beachy casual little place. Got pretty hot inside but they had fans on. Seating inside and outside. Definitely recommend grabbing a burger, beer, and onion rings for lunch!

Do normally I write my own reviews but this review is because my best friends have visited the store every morning since our arrival on the island. Great local flair, good coffee drinks and terrific, friendly service. Homemade popsicle! Yes homemade popsicles. Island Coffee Haus is a do not miss.
Very good coffee the few times we stopped during our vacation. Took a little time for the drinks because only 1 person was working, but it was worth the wait for some good coffee! Would def return.
Ordered a latte and a soy chai. Both were awful. The barista was also NOT friendly. Giving it two stars because possibly the regular coffee or food items are good. However, my husband's drink as well as mine were some of the worst we have ever had.

New owners Gary and Chef Armin are maintaining, and even improving, the standards of this reliable restaurant that has served authentic German food on Anna Maria Island for more than 15 years. The menu remains unchanged, with nice presentations (see pix). Salads are a bit fancier than they were and portions seem a bit larger. Mrs. Nibbler had a bratwurst platter with tangy sauerkraut. I had a veal jagerschnitzel absolutely covered in mushrooms. Both dishes included perfectly pan-roasted potatoes and everything was delicious. Our server Tracy was excellent and food service was quick. While Chef Armin runs the kitchen Gary runs the bar while taking time to visit guests and help with table service. His friendly conversation and attention to detail bode well for the restaurant's continuing popularity. Gary keeps four types of German beer on draft -- Pllsener, Hefeweisen, dark and Oktoberfest -- all served in authentic glasses of 0,3, 0.5 and full liter sizes. It was a pleasant surprise that each of our beers were filled *over* the glass measuring line. While there wasn't much room for dessert we couldn't resist the apple streudle, an attractive and delicious presentation with ice cream, chocolate and whipped cream that's as good as any you'll find in Europe. And for the perfect finish, order a couple bottles of the German liqueur Underberg, served in its tall, distinctive stemware, Hier ist gut essen! Prost!
We just experienced the most amazing meal I have had in recent memory. Everything was beyond wildest expectations. The cucumber soup was cold and refreshing the spaetzle with light and warm the chicken livers were decadent beyond words and the giant pork shank was something made for photographs. I am the happiest sort of satisfied.
A great family dinner and fantastic service! Had a delicious dinner and the service was top notch! We had 2 small children and they made it such a fun experience for the whole family.

Not bad, but nothing special. Pancakes were over worked and syrup was cheap and thin. Prices are high for what you get. We'd go back, because the location was convenient, but wouldn't rush. Be warned, they only take cash.
Breakfast at this restaurant is just outstanding . It's a small space but big on good value food. Best breakfast on AMI
Minnie's is my go to spot on the island for breakfast. Waitresses are incredibly helpful and always friendly. The food here is very good. Their pancakes are dynamite and the best around. Be sure to go on a weekday because the tourists and locals flock here during the weekends.

Eat Here

I've seen some not so great reviews on this restaurant, regarding service and I don't know where those people were - our experience could not have been more perfect from start to finish! Service was super attentive and friendly, food was prompt and each dish we tried was better than the last. A little tip - if you check in here on Yelp, you get a free glass of wine! What could be better than free booze? I could go back here again and again - some also said the menu wasn't very big but I saw plenty I would love to try and just couldn't get it all in on 1 visit. I appreciate good food at good prices and Eat Here definitely brings that to AMI! And let's face it, not every restaurant needs to provide a super family friendly environment so if you aren't comfortable bringing the kiddos here, there are plenty of other places to choose from. And more room for us child free people to enjoy ourselves in peace and quiet!
Delicious grilled rainbow trout, as good as I've had anywhere. Competent, friendly service and VERY interesting and entertaining menu. Prices quite reasonable and lots of options with respect to portion size.
Phenomenal service and excellent food! We'll be back! Seafood stew delicious scallops to die for; tenderloin fantastic and chefs pizza was superb!

Mr Bones BBQ

If you are looking for an interesting menu and a kitschy atmosphere this is the place for you. This is a Indian, BBQ place. Dressed up like a voodoo place, you enter to see a coffin with iced down bottles of beer in it and are told to select what you want. Neat and fun little way to get your beer. The menu is mostly BBQ with some curry dishes and salads and wraps mixed in. I chose the pulled pork plate which came with veggie fried rice (creole) and your choice of two sides. No French fries here! I had BBQ baked beans and candied yams. All was delicious. My husband and I shared a salad with BBQ sauce dressing which was delicious! The bread they brought to the table was garlic bread but not very garlicky or buttery at all. I was disappointed by that. The wait staff is very nice and attentive. I would eat there again.
Mr.Bones I'm speechless! Great service , wide variety of beers.(love Turbodog)the beer featured in the show TruBlood on HBO. I recommend the Big beef plate or the ribs hands down the best in Anna Maria! Definitely should be on Man vs Food or just Travel channel in general . Love the coffin full of bottled beers, definitely have to buy a t-shirt!
Had to downgrade this place after our last visit in March 2015. Nothing was very good. There were four of us and we all ordered different dishes. The ribs were nothing special nor very tender. The Indian dishes I usually really enjoy here were only so-so too. Hope it was just because it was during Spring Break but we've been other years during high season and haven't had the same experience.

Lobstahs

Reviews:
I'd prefer Red Lobster! After a lovely evening at the beach (watching the sunset), we drove over to The Pier Restaurant but couldn't find a park anywhere so we decided to try Lobstah's (I mean with a name like Lobstah's it must be amazing right?). When I looked at the menu & prices, I just knew the food would be out of this world amazing. Well, NO... ...as we were dosing off at the table while waiting for what seemed like a lifetime our food it's finally arrived, well partially arrived. The huge appetizer portion of lobster nachos were soggy (& the chips that weren't mushy were burnt). The "meaty lobster bisque" should have been coined "cheesy lobster bisque" because it appeared & tasted very cheesy. After my two year old tastes he said "that's good cheese, I like it"! It wasn't bad tasting but it was underwhelming for a restaurant named Lobstah's. The chicken strips that came out after all of the other food were cooked to perfection but they were flavorless (as if there was no seasoning just panko bread crumbs). Must I continue...I'm tired of complaining... Although, the food wasn't what I expected the service was great. Our server was very friendly & personable. But I'd rather save a little cash & eat some cheddar bay biscuits. But hey at least Lobstah's is better than Long John Silver (which I really don't like). But the bathroom at LJS is probably cleaner than the one at Lobstah's (it smelled, there was trash on the floor, & the "soap" was basically 10% soap + 90% water...Gross).
The server was great but the food is a little sub par on flavor. The oysters were great and the tiki bar on the side was fun. The bar had darts, pool, and great prices on beer. I would just get apps and go to the bar for this place.
Made reservations for Easter Sunday dinner. When we got there, we found that they had seated us in the back tiki bar where a crazy family was letting their kids run wild. Not great, but also not their fault. However, it took a good 15-20 minutes for anyone to get to our table to take a drink or food order. They were out of a few menu items, no big deal. The waitress was unapologetic and almost annoyed by our very existence. After waiting almost an hour for our food, when we finally asked about it, again, the waitress seemed annoyed, and told us the kitchen was backed up over 45 minutes - perhaps a helpful tip to let folks know when they are placing their orders. When our food did come, it was really delicious. The food was really great, but the atmosphere and terrible service negate that. With the many choices available on the island, don't settle for terrible service at high prices! Choose somewhere else to eat your lobsters. This place isn't worth it.
