It's a small place, but intimate and it's the kind of place where you can have A great conversation and not get sucked into a TV that's playing the back ground!

Loved the atmosphere. My wine was excellent. I just wish that there had been more glass options. There were three types of red and white each, but I would like to have the opportunity to try more without buying the whole sampler. Impressive place overall.

Great place for a low key weeknight. Or go with a group on weekends. Its a wine bar with a limited menu of food. I enjoy the food, its simple. My GF has the beet salad and I have the mussles and usually jump around the different wine machines or have a few martinis / scotches. Cool chill place.

This place is genius! They have an amazing wine selection with a light menu. Its made for the wine connoisseur. A GEM in the middle of a random not-so-jumping scene.... which means only one thing: Great Parking! Things I love about Vino: Never an uncomfortable amount of people here Parking is always easy Wine selection is made by someone who actually knows what hes doing Intimacy without being boring and great music playing in the background. It is so odd to me that I found such a fantastic place in such an unexpected spot.

i bought a living social coupon to try this place. basically, for the wine, you put money on a kind of debit card and then do self serve to try what you like. (they do sell/serve wine by the bottle, but what's the fun in that?) the wine comes out in at least one ounce portions. some machines have one, three, six ounce buttons. they have both red & white. all the wines have informational descriptions explaining the taste of the wine. we also ate. you can get antipasti for 2, 4, 6 etc. very tasty imported meats & cheeses from italy. my friend & i also split an entree. (gnocchi & oxtail in sauce, yum!) the food is a little pricey but very high quality. i really enjoyed both the wine & the food and would go back again if i was in the area. its kind of a small place so i'd recommend a reservation if there are several of you or its a busy weekend and you don't want to wait. i'm rating this place moderate since you spend as much as you want. but 2 of us went through a $50 debit card (wine only) in a couple hours trying all the different types. some wine is $1.50 per ounce, some are $4.50 per ounce. so be sure to read the prices if you're trying to budget.

Comfy+cozy+intimate setting+50 people=A madhouse Definitely not good for groups and most definitely NOT good for large gatherings of people saaaayyy a reception for a conference. Hot and loud wine bar with a good, solid section of wine and beer selection. However, if you subtract about 40 people, I bet you it would be great since the selection is nice and the ambiance (before the throes of people got there was very nice for a date)

Amazing little gem. Not crowded, the food was good and the service was great. This is one of the only spots I have been able to find in broward with the wine cards. They have a great selection of wine for tasting (from a non-expert's perspective). We ordered the meatballs, burrata, bacon wrapped dates, and the cheese and meet board for 3. All tasted great. Looking forward to coming back this place very soon. +1 for the crayons and paper on the tables.

I had heard rumors, but I had to experience it myself. I love wine. I mean, I really love wine. When I am told that there is a new wine bar that has opened I usually make my way there PDQ to see if it is worthy of the hubbub. Vino is nestled down in Hollywood, FL in what appears to be a (regretfully) dying area. Many of the shops are closed and some prime real estate is filled with tarot card readers and hookah shops. Something's not right- like a cancer. Vino itself is lovely. It's small and cozy with both indoor and outdoor seating that feels very much like a quaint library; we sat outdoors. So...the bevy of selections ranging from about $5 a glass all the way to Opus One (way overpriced and not worth it) are attached to siphoning machines that dispense the exact amount you ask for after inserting your pre-loaded wine card into the slot. I wish the machines aerated the selection as it poured, but it appears they do not, so even the samples need to breathe for a few moments if not longer. Window shopping, however, is half the fun! I was familiar with many of the bottles, others were undiscovered for a reason. Wine is a matter of personal taste and it seems like Vino had everybody covered - good taste and poor. But, c'est la vie! My wife and I sampled about $60 worth of various malbec's and pinot's. Sadly they were out of the Ferrari Carano Malbec which is simply divine... I would have taken home half a case if it was in stock. (yes they sell wine by the bottle at retail prices). The surprising twist was the food. WOW. I was expecting only lite bites- I was very wrong -it far exceeded my expectations. I had mussels in a red broth with fresh fennel sausage and a braised lamb shank. The mussels were $10 and the lamb shank, $15. In my opinion, both were an excellent value and far better prepared than at other restaurants at twice the price. Our server was an absolute pleasure and extremely attentive. Overall, I would probably frequent Vino but for the fact that it's 45 min south of me. If this place was in a better location such as downtown Ft. Lauderdale, WPB or Boca, I think it would be a huge hit. I truly believe they are going to struggle in their current location and may not last long, so you might want to enjoy it while you can. I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could, but it doesn't get 4.

Vino has a lot of everything: knowledgeable wine staff, very experienced bar tenders that deserve the title of 'mixologist' instead, and a menu to boot! We've ended many a Hollywood evening here with cocktails, sometimes you can get a sample of what others have ordered should there be 'extra'. It allows you to think about various parings. We've also begun many a night here. "Let's get a glass of white, it's 5 o'clock somewhere!" The glass turns into a bottle, the app turns into a meal, the cocktail turns into many, different ones because Elia is a talent and great company. I recommend the pate', mmm pate'. There is a wide variety of salumi e formaggi, making the choices are very difficult for me. My inner italophile has been immensely satisfied. I have tasted the escargot, the bacon wrapped dates and the beef bourguignon is rather perfect -portion and quality included. Vino, ci vediamo presto!

Nice selection of wine however my wine tasted a little bit old so they may need to calculate better when to toss the bottle in case it doesn't get used in time. I loved the ambiance of the place it has a nice cozy feel offering food rather late. There were a lot of people in restaurant in tables but not as many as bar so I would expect better service from bartender but someone else came over and asked us if we wanted a drink so I assume he was the owner. I will be back though.

Very quiet wine bar. I went to meet a friend and we had a great time. I really enjoyed sampling the different wines. The food was fantastic. I especially liked the bacon wrapped dates and the spaghetti stuffed meatball. It was a relaxed and quiet atmosphere perfect for a date or to catch up with friends. Had really good service as well. Apparently you also get a discount on buying bottles if you have one of their cards. I definitely will go back sometime soon.

My friend who's a regular and i only tried the wine selection, this time. And it was wonderful. I loved that most of the wine bottles had a card with further details about wine. Not bad for a Wednesday night.

The food was great and the manager/ our server was nice. I was not impressed with his serving ability because he was not attentive. I know I went here dressed down but I spent a lot of money. Don't judge by age or appearance. Otherwise the place was great and beautiful on the inside!

This charming wine bistro have become my favorite place to get together with friends. Usually we occupied a large table and the exceptional staff managed to give us separates checks always. In my book that's what I call great service. No wonder Vino Hollywood have been around for so long. Now the food. Probably last night the cook was under the weather, because the mussels I ordered were chewe and unpleasant. I usually have the tuna tartare, but last night I felt having something different. My bad.

While vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale we stumbled upon Vino. It was such a cool concept in the way of wine tasting. The sommelier Jeffery was so knowledgeable, and personable. The ambiance was great. we intended to go in a have a glass of vine and relax for the evening, it was so much fun we ordered a cheese board and stayed longer to continue the experience. Every Thursday there is a vine tasting event that is served with a small three course meal, we really wanted to attend but alas our time run short and we we unable to do so. It is now on a to do list when we visit again. Can't say enough about the experience.

Considering I've never been to a place like this before, it was a neat concept. Most wine places tend to give off a very pretentious vibe, but the guy who helped us (I'm assuming the owner) was quite friendly and helpful in explaining the concept of the store/bar (See Nydia's review below for all the details). Although we just came here to try out different wines, it's a really cozy place to grab a group of friends and spend the night savoring your favorite bottle of wine. Whether you're part of the novice or expert crowd when it comes wines, both groups can certainly mingle in wine-induced harmony here at Vino.

This review covers food only, not wine - and it's 3-1/2 stars. My dinner party shared a beet salad, tuna tartare and tomato soup with cheese bread...all were excellent. The entrees were amply portioned and tasty without being too complex. The truffled french fries are divine. My only complaint is that I don't think they are too accustomed to full diners (vs. wine tasters ordering apps), because it took waaaay too long for our food to come - I'm talking like an hour from order time to delivery to the table, at least for the entrees). Also, the dessert on the menu wasn't actually offered, which was a shame since it sounded so delicious. Those things aside, service was friendly (if somewhat amateur - again, not sure how used to full diners they are) and the atmosphere is quite nice.

I enjoyed ,myself, wasnt crowded and had 3 types of full glasses on stock instead of using the sampler. There is about 15-20 craft beer list and decent food to nibble on. Good for you wine junkies and dates. Not too much else like this in the area. The place next door is more of a cheesy lounge setting. There is a 3rd place about to bicks west and that looks fun too, but there really isnt much in the room for comfortability, more like wood stools.

First of all I would like to say that I rarely give reviews unless I'm impressed. Vino's really gives you outstanding customer service. The people who work there make sure you are taken care of offering you a selection of wines that are inexpensive and of excellent quality. I also enjoyed the guest who attend all the time. They told me it is a hidden gem. The parking was free and if you don't see a space out there check out the garage around the corner.The price for a tasting was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

We went to this place for lunch and by accident, as our intended lunch place was closed. We didn't get to try the wines as it was a workday, but the food was really good. I had the hanger steak and my friend had the gnocchi. Both really good. It seems to be a bit pricey and more of a night place to go, as there was no one there other than us two. I would go back for happy hour, and the decor is very very nice. Also we had great service.

Nice wine bar in downtown Hollywood. The wine selection is fair for the average wine drinker but not for the more sophisticated wine drinker. They have a nice bar and some high top tables and a few low top tables. You can sample wines from the machines for varies prices and then buy a bottle or glass. We decided on a bottle and the bartender opened it and the cork was dried out so the wine was bad. She went to get another but they were none left. I would say if there were more it would probably be the same problem. We did find another and it was good. We first started out with the mussels. They were made with some sausage and a fabulous sauce, served with garlic toast. We did ask for more bread for dipping. I was surprised they charged us $3.50 for extra bread. I ordered the salmon and it was very good. It came with a risotto cake and some kind light sauce. My husband ordered the lamb shank and it was a little fatty and a small portion for a man. It came with fettuccine on the side. He said it was good nothing special. If you are in the neighborhood this is a nice spot to check out for a glass of wine and a light bite.

Great little place with amazing ambiance. Service was prompt and attentive, so knowledgeable too! Made the visit worthwhile. Great selection of wines. We shared the charcuterie plate that was beyond generous. Can't wait to go back!

Love this place! First time we came it was about 20 mins before they closed on a Thursday. They were so nice! They walked us around as we tried a bunch of wines from the taps. The manager and owner are awesome. I work down the street so to have a place to go to that's so welcoming is great! I've also been to two of the wine tastings and I'm hooked! The food is always so great! This place is a must for downtown hollywood!

Terrible establishment! Wine was great! However they charge a dollar fifty for a teaspoon of jam and after discussing how to service was when they proceeded to tell me how bad the waiter was versus taking ownership. Additionally, when we asked about ordering a antipasto platter for 2, and what does that consist of...assuming that it is more than 1 slice of cheese when they asked us to choose. The owner offered to let us purchase a side, which was not the issue. Totally missed the point. We were also upset that they did not pour our glasses of wine as 2 women coming through restaurant they suggested that having them pour one glass of wine was enough. After discussing our concerns they did offer to have us come back again. Without offer on anothering glass of wine or even water.

My friends thought they were selecting our usual wine bar in Hollywood but accidentally ended up at this place and we all decided to stay. Vino is one of those wine bars where you can put money on a card and go around and put that card into a bunch of machines hooked up to the wine bottles. You can select 2 oz , 4 oz or 6 oz pours from the machines with corresponding prices. I guess it's a good way to try some different wines and figure out which one you like before purchasing a bottle. The place is a little pricey but not too bad. Some of us ordered food; my wife had a panini for some reason, and that was decent. They also have cheese trays, although those are not cheap, and some higher priced entrees. Since I'm more of a beer guy, I was pleased to see they had some decent beers on the menu such as Dogfish Head 60 min IPA ($6), Lindemann's Framboise for the wife ($9) and they had some specialty bombers but were out of the one I wanted to split with my friend (Rogue Hazelnut Brown). They also had local brew Monk In the Trunk. Decent selection but not nearly as good as Hollywood Vine. I don't think Vino is the best wine bar in downtown Hollywood, but at the same time it's not a bad place to hang out with friends.

Vino is like a sexy ex. Looks good on the surface but when you go back you remember why you broke up. I've really tried to like this place and have given them a chance on three occasions with different friends. Unfortunately, each time was lacking. As other posters have noted, the prices are a little high and the wines aren't as varied as the wine bar across the street. Also, they charge you $5 to activate a wine card, which is NOT used towards your purchase. They also charge you a corking fee when you purchase one of their bottles and drink it in their bar. Ridiculous. Each time I've visited, multiple menu items have been unavailable and the few items we tried were not bad, but nothing to go out of your way for. Even putting this all aside, we still tried to go back but the last two visits turned us off completely. The service was poor, the kitchen was out of many items and this is the second time they've overcharged our credit card. Aside from the decent craft beer list and decor, you are better off saving your money and time and going somewhere else.

I'm not sure I've ever given one star ... and was thinking it would be two, but "eek, bethinks not" is the best description. I was in the mood for wine and saw this place on my way to dinner elsewhere. I came back and as I walked in was greeted at a reception area. She explained I could taste with a card for $5. I thought that was a very good deal (my liquor store back home is free, but hey five bucks) ... then she said "oh dear" ... hate that ... totally condescending ... it's $5 for the card then you pay for the drinks. No thanks. So I go to the bar for a glass of wine. A french accent barman asks what I'd like. I ask for the wine list ... again somewhat condescending I get "we have 100's of wines by the glass, we couldn't possibly do a list" ... ummm yes you could, but okay I'll play ... do you have a Bierzo wine from Spain? Worried look. Asks another person. "no sir". Okay, something from Cahors France? "ah, no sir". Hmmm, I say, no list does make it difficult. "please come with me and look at the bottles, I'm sure we have something" ... okay. "maybe this super tuscan", I say. He suggests I taste it to be sure. Great. I don't like it. He suggests a french wine and offers a taste. I try it, like it, but it's $20 a glass. No thanks. He suggests a $10 "house wine". It's good and I'm happy. The bill comes. $10 for the wine and $5.00 for the tastes. Really?! Never did I expect to be charged for the tastes. Never, even in NYC, have I been charged to taste. Wow. He did say "maybe I should have told you". Yes, you should have ... but then ... that's your tip. Pretension and omission get this place a single star. I didn't have the food ... can't comment ... and the wine was fine, but then they don't make the wine, they serve it, so one star it is.

Met some friends here for drinks on a week night. The atmosphere is pretty nice and the place has definite potential but it's a little on the small side and the layout isn't very welcoming. There's also fairly limited seating. Vino isn't just about wine but they've also got a kitchen. I wasn't terribly impressed with the menu but to be fair, I was just in the mood for something small and nothing looked good. The prices for the small plates were a little high but that's in keeping with the theme. The wine selections were actually pretty impressive and definitely the highlight of this otherwise unimpressive wine bar. This was my first time at one of these put your card in the machine and get a taste of wine places and I am still not sure whether I like the idea or not. On the one hand, you get to sample many different wines without having to buy bottles or even full glasses. On the other hand, you're paying not just for the wine but the technology as well and for the mark up, you get the privilege of serving yourself. Maybe it's the impersonality of the experience that rubs me the wrong way but I don't think I'm a fan of the automated wine dispenser.

I'll start out by saying that I'm not a big fan of the "wine sampling" concept here. As other posters mentioned, you'll end up spending a lot of money on a few decent sips of wine. If you want an equally nice wine experience at half the price, go to Hollywood Vine, pick out a $12 bottle and enjoy it with some truffle gouda. That being said, I have sucked it up and gone to Vino with the girls on two separate occasions. It was nice because they really do like the sampling aspect, and how can you not have fun drinking vino with your besties? Anyway, I found out the (not so) secret of Vino. First of all, they're owned by Fulvio's, the high-end Italian restaurant a few doors down. Skip the expensive samples, and sit at the bar to have a glass of wine. They serve beer (Abita, yum) and hard liquor, too. Ask for a menu, you'll be impressed. I would have never thought to eat here until a few weeks ago. The menu is awesome. In addition to an array of cheeses, they serve appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and main entrees. On my first visit, I was not very hungry and just wanted something to go with my Pinot, so I had the duck pate. It was creamy and earthy, as it should be. My husband had the gnocchi, which was equally delicious. We returned less than a week later. For starters, we had the escargot. Unlike other places, it wasn't satiated with so much cheese, garlic and herbs that you don't even know what you're eating. Served simply in garlic, oil and butter, you can truly taste the actual escargot. It was not "rubbery" at all, as some might expect. It was served with two little crustinis for dipping, which was a nice treat. For dinner, I had a shaved steak sandwich with sauteed peppers. It came with perfectly seasoned fries and a side of horseradish cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't drenched in cheese. My husband had the prosciutto sandwich with fresh mozzarella, served with a side of greens, radishes and cucumber in a great vinegarette. Again, it was all perfectly seasoned, and hard to put down. I highly recommend Vino, but for their excellent food and bar experience, not the $3.50 sips of wine.

I went to Vino with a girlfriend to just relax and catch up with our lives. The atmosphere is very nice. Dim lit lighting, wood decor, and wine bottles lining the walls. You purchase a prepaid card that you use to buy/taste test the wines. It's so easy to go from one glass to like 5. :) We decided to try out the food while we sipped on wine and I was pretty impressed with the quality and taste. I had a tomato, mozzarella, and basil sandwich with a parsley salad. Next time I go, I'd like to sit at the bar cause their mixed drinks looked good. The place is kind of small so not the best place for a large party, at the most 4 friends.

We went to this place after dinner last night. I had never seen anything like this before, but a friend of mine told me that she had heard of something similar. I thought it was an interesting concept. Though I have to agree with Felecia, it is pricey considering the price you pay for a full glass of wine. In the end, Pros: Can try a bunch of wines; Cons: Pricey, some wines were not worth trying.

This place has changed hands - and I am adding a star to my review because of the super-attentive service I received. And the cheese platter was exceptionally good and very generous portion. I was looking for a recommendation for a good rose and was able to taste a few before finding a great one which I enjoyed - with my yummy cheese. I hope more people will come here - it's on a side street next to the super -popular dominos -and -stinky cigar hang out up the street - and near the equally popular Tipsy Boar. I'm afraid this place get a little lost. Come here - you won't be disappointed.
