I stopped by here for an early lunch on Saturday and am so glad I tried it. I've lived nearby for 4 years and regret not stopping in sooner. This food was so good! The falafel patties tasted fresh and were crispy, flavorful and moist. The tangy tahini and hot sauce were a perfect dip. The beef lunchbox with onions was full of flavor and the lentil rice was perfectly cooked al dente. I also appreciated that the hummus wasn't overdone with lemon and let the chickpea flavor come through. I have to give credit to the service, too. Any questions I asked were answered with a sample of the sauce and pita. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Two words, HOMEMADE LAFFA!!! Great food guys really and the service from the fam owned joint is great! All of the sides rock and the massive wraps and sandwiches are delicious. The dining room has something to say though and we don't like eating there, needs an update hence the 4 stars but we always take the food to go and the kids also love it! Dangit, now I'm craving some...

My brother-in-law drove from WPB to eat here. I had to check it out since I live 5 mins away. Well, I've eaten here 3 times since last Friday. All I've tried are the beef pita pockets and they are DELICIOUS. My daughter ate the falafel pita pockets and they were fantastic. I'm hooked. Very friendly service, too.

Evethough i pass every day in front of this place i never stop to eat here until a friend of my husband told him it was great. As we were near this place again we decided to stop to try for ourselves and what a great surprise!! The food is really goooood and fresh. Portions are big and the cooker is very welcoming. I had the falafel pita and yummm!! I would definitly go again!! :)

When I want a guilty pleasure thats also healthy and nutritious ill get a chicken pita pocket. A pita pocket stuffed with roasted chicken breast, garlic sauce, roasted red pepper purre topped with cubed tomatoes and cucumbers and a drizzle of tahini sauce. Some times I get the turkish salad on it which is like a spicy pesto. This is hands down my goto for a delish and satisfying meal. The wraps are really good as well. Its a good amount of food for your money. The service is friendly and helpful. comfy sesting area with tables outside. Great place, gotta try it.

Excellent food and large portions for a great price. My boyfriend and I pretty much always get the vegetarian and the beef lunch box and there is plenty leftover for lunch the next day. The falafel is one of the best I have had. Beef lunch box is my favorite. Grape leaves are not the best (a little heavy on the mint), but everything else I have had is delicious. It is usually pretty empty and the ordering process is a little strange, but go with it. The food is more than worth it. Great place for take out.

If I'm ever in the Hollywood area I make sure to stop here to grab a bite even if if it's a little out of my way. This is the best place in south Florida eat a falafel or a chicken pita. The food is always fresh and good. I usually get the chicken pita with all of the toppings. This place stands out from other places because of the variety of toppings offered and the service is always good.

Friendly staff, delicious food! Falafel is so fresh and crispy. Will go back and try new items!

  • J P.

Best Chicken Caesar pita I've ever had. Chicken (lots of it) was perfectly seasoned and the Caesar dressing just right tangy and evenly spread. The lettuce was crisp and light. The pita was really fresh and soft and held the mongo sandwich well. Fries were tasty good and service friendly and fast. The rib eye kabobs and beef shwarma platters were both delicious. Loved the garlic sauce. Everything was fresh and tasty. Can't wait to go back.

Their food is really good, I just think that it could be a little cheaper! But it was a good experience overall!

  • Frankie F.

true authentic middle eastern food and great ownership !!!i became a regular there and its all worth it ... the ribeye kabobs are tasty. all the shawarmas are delish ! the hummus baba ganoush and tahini are well made ...

Fresh delicious food, extremely clean and friendly staff! If you are in downtown Hollywood looking for a great quick lunch spot you've gotta stop here.

Great food, friendly service and delivery... a terrific alternative to pizza.

  • Jonathan P.

Whether grabbing a lunch box, falafel sandwich or just something light like the lentil soup. Pita Pocket is my new favorite destination for Middle Eastern food with fair prices and quality product. Forget Pita Plus, and stop here when craving a good pita sandwich or shawarma

  • Vanessa S.

How could we not love this place? Right by the house, delicious food and friendly service. The menu is your basic middle eastern dishes but they are well made and kind of addictive, really. Busy or slow, early or late these folks get your food out and tempt you with baklava which I think is made in house. Highly recommend this off the beaten path spot if you're in the area!

  • Edwin J.

My co-worker introduced me to Pita Pockets and I fell in love instantly. Their food is AMAZING and the portions are pretty large. My favorite is the Chicken Lunch box and the Chicken Kabob lunch box.

  • Wilbur C.

I thought this place was OK. Ordered the Falafel pita & a side of hummus. The pita bread was good & hot, hummus was way too salty, substitute all that salt with with lemon juice, tahini & a lot of garlic. I mean it is a very basic place to just order & sit & eat your selections from behind the counter. Location is great 2 blocks off of 95, but parking is kind of a pain, there were no spaces behind the restaurant or on the street despite there being nobody in the place, so I took my chances next door with the tow away signs everywhere, was lucky cause I was in & out but definitely don't recommend doing this, especially in the city of Hollywood.

  • Juan D.

I got the dinner box chicken shawarma meal. It was delicious, though their salad was "okay" which is why only the four stars. They called and told me I was further away than they expected for delivery, but had no problem coming out to me at the hotel anyway! The driver was CUTE too! (Added bonus!! Lol) Overall happy with this place. Their pita bread is addicting.

I used to go to Levy's until my wife heard about this place from a friend. While the portions at Levy's are bigger, the quality of the food and seasoning is just better here. Not familiar with this type of food? TALK to them...they'll hook you up with something awesome.

  • Peter O.

Stopped by this place on the way to the airport at the end of our long Florida weekend. It was near historic downtown Hollywood. My homemade hummus--which all my friends rave about--had finally meet its match!

  • Rich K.

Amazing food and service!!! Love the family owned establishments.

    (5)
  • Rebekah G.

Rude service. This guy is worse than the soup guy on Seinfeld. I have eaten here a few times. The falafel pita is not bad but the falafel is really greasy. I asked for it on the side so I could put it on some paper napkins to drain before cramming it in the pita and they refused. He told me "no, you can just pick it out". They make it to order so not like it would be an inconvenience to place it in a styrofoam container instead of cramming I in the pita. So much for whatever the customer wants. Won't be back. Parking is a nightmare.

    (1)
  • Cheyenne B.

Love this place. Service is excellent all the time. Food is always on point. Best pita I've tried in South Florida second to none. Pita plus is a runner up

  • Bur L.

Great food, large portions and fast delivery; can't ask for anymore than that..perfect for a lazy day at home

    (5)
  • Scott G.

Mediocre and overpriced. Side of falafel was mushy and old tasting. Steak wrap was ok. Babaganoush was salty and sour. Greek salad was ok. $27

  • Lorena G.

Saturday night, wanted to try something different and decided to go to Pita Pockets. It was around 8pm, the place was empty which gave me a wrong impression. I asked for a Chicken platter? the Owner (very handsome by the way) told me "whatever you like", very nice of him. He recommended the kebob chicken, I waited 10min, it was a take out. When I got home, what a pleasant surprise!! The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful and the best part that it was healthy!! I will come back definitely and I'm so mad that I didn't try it before!!

    (5)
  • John F.

Nice chill setting, outside setting, convienent location on the way to beach, reasonable prices, vegetarian options available. .. If youre into freshly made greek food on the go, this is the place

    (3)
  • Mimmo K.

I just finished eaten here & I love the place, the food, the stuff & the desserts. Hummus, Baba Ganoj, Flafel, Kebbeh, Taboli, and Shwarma, all taste great besides the friendly service with a smile, Thank you for being nice.

  • Dog M.

Vegans Use Caution Here: the hummus has Dairy!! If you are vegan or have a dairy allergy, avoid their hummus, or just use the tahini sauce. Otherwise, the food is excellent - clearly, the best falafel in South Florida. I just wish they would take more care to keep the dairy stuff out of the hummus. What it is, is the cook guy likes take the sauce spoons while preparing the pitas and, when a sandwich is full of some dairy garlic sauce for example, the person will say "oh, hummus too", and the cook just spreads the hummus spoon in the pita there with all the dairy sauce, and then puts the spoon right back into the hummus container!! Often, I can actually see little white drops all in the hummus. Also, for some odd reason, they place the hummus container in a place where the dairy sauces are behind, so that dairy sauce ALWAYS drips into the hummus in front. The cook guy just mixes it all up as if it is no big deal. I wish the owners would read this & respond with some msg. like "we now put the hummus container in the back" or "we no longer mix dairy with our hummus in the preparation". Or just avoid the hummus.

The reason why this place gets so many great reviews is because the food is amazing...delicious. The staff was courteous and eager to assist. We were a party of five people in this little place and all of us loved the food. We had Beef Pita, Chicken Pita, Falafel combo, 2 Greek Chicken pitas, Baklava...all of it was delish. The place was clean, no problems at all.

    (5)
  • E M.

We just ate here for the first time and it was great! We had been driving past it, never realizing it was a great little Middle Eastern joint. We had the vegetarian and chicken lunch boxes and an order of falafel. As other Yelp reviews mentioned, the garlic sauce was awesome. We had tons of food and brought a lot home. I was pleased with everything we had. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. The gentleman working there was very nice. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the amount of food you'll likely take home from Pita Pockets.

  • Tervicine D.

Located in a plaza and difficult to find. Drive slowly and make the u-turn. Parking is scarce. What they lack in curb appeal they surely makeup with food. Authentic cuisine and vegetarian friendly. The falafel pita was amazing.

    (5)
  • Vanessa V.

Had the falafel. ..so good. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious. Worth the time

Been here a few times and we love it. Great service and even better food every time! Awesome!!

    (5)
  • Ani L.

I was overwhelmed by the great service and value I received here. The staff could not be nicer. You can tell that they really take pride in their jobs and want to introduce you to their world of delicious food. I ordered a falafel pita combo that came with a drink and fries. *Angels sing* They have San Pellegrino drinks! They were so nice to insist that I sample items from the toppings bar while my falafels where freshly made. Definitely try the garlic sauce and the spicy tomato sauce. I loaded my pita with hummus, tabbouleh, garlic sauce, tomato sauce and romaine lettuce. The flavors were so rich and enjoyable. The fries were golden perfection. Best of all, I finished my meal with a San Pellegrino pompelmo. Heaven! Based on the storefront, this restaurant is easy to miss, but make a U-turn (like I did) and go back. A meal here is very inexpensive, but more importantly, you'll eat fresh and healthy food and be served with a smile. Heaven is a place on Earth. I'm pretty sure that place is just inside of the doors of Pita Pockets and it's topped off with a San Pellegrino pompelmo.

Pretty good place. Had the chicken pita. Everything looked pretty fresh and the place was pretty clean. I'll definitely be going back.

  • Ashik S.

Absolutely in love with this place!! Middle-eastern food doesn't get any better than this and the owners are genuinely friendly and helpful... The service is pretty fast too!! If you're around Hollywood and craving Middle-eastern food (Shawarma, Falafel, Kebobs).....This is the place to be :D I ordered the Chicken lunch box over lentil rice!! The humus and the salad that came as sides were delicious too.... Oh and definitely don't miss out on the Garlic Sauce!!! :) All in all....Great Middle-Eastern food that is not expensive at all!!! Definitely going back again...

My and I were looking for a place to grab a bite and we found Pita Pockets. Wow what a great unexpected find!!! great food and awesome service! The falafel pita was terrific! They are also very vegan / vegetarian friendly. Can't wait to go back!

  • Kristi D.

Amazing! I love finding hole in the wall spots with delicious, authentic food. Seems to be a family run operation, with excellent service, and some of the best pitas, and Greek fare I have tasted in So Florida. Great for lunch pick up, not many in house seats. Salads, falafel

    (5)
  • Jake R.

Pita Pockets very much deserves all of the 5 star reviews. The service was very friendly, the food was excellent, fresh and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. We shared a chicken kebab platter, falafel platter, chicken schawarma. Everything came with little salads and sauces. It was all great. We'll be back very soon.

    horrible food, service? pita nazi

  • Stuart G.

The two self reviews are right! Fabulous Tabbouleh Salad, the best chicken shawarma, Lentil rice to die for! Owners are friendly as all hell and if you are not a big eater you will fill up on the free samples (they will make you eat). Just be friendly and ask questions!

  • Scott L.

The food was really good. My son eats nothing LOL and he loved it. I will be going back!

    (5)
  • QueenB B.

The food was ok but, it was not exactly a nice place to sit and eat. The lady taking the order was going into a panic attack. Lady, you are not a doctor you work or own a restaurant relax. Everyone in their was speaking arabic and I had no clue what they were saying. I honestly did not feel welcome or comfortable. The staff callled me blondie to pick up my food. Real classy or professional. Not. I say this place is only for middle easterners.

    (2)
  • Ellen H.

Oh my goodness was the food delicious! Ordered a chicken pita pocket and I was in HEAVEN. Service was super friendly and great too. I can't wait to be back in the area for another visit! :)

  • Praveen P.

We stumbled over this place driving on Hollywood Blvd. Lunch box was excellent with chicken with lentil rice, garlic sauce, salad and pita bread. Falafel was cooked just right. The lady behind the counter and the chef were very helpful explaining the food and the service was excellent. I would go back here again.

    (5)
  • Andres V.

The food is great and consistent. Portions are a good size for the price. It also doesn't hurt that you are always greeted with a smile.

  • Freddy L.

The best falafel sandwich you can get in Hollywood !!, made fresh in front of You, Try it with the garlic sauce and the Turkish salad .

    (5)
  • Alp A.

This place is amazing. They have real gyro meat as opposed to the fake stuff most places have. The addons are all homemade and fresh. There isn't anywhere like this in Hollywood beach or downtown Hollywood .. A must try

  • Nyc M.

been here a dozen times and they never fail to deliver. i normally get the same guy making my food and he is good, fast and very polite. food is delicious. its obviously not a gourmet restaurant so the seating is basic and the a/c is on full blast all the time, but the place is still really good.

    (4)
  • Manuel G.

I've been to this place twice and i must say these guys are so nice the fact they educate you on the greek style food and really push the effort to give you a stuffed pita with great quality lamb, chicken or beef is awesome . there very new to the neigborhood and have go bento and laura next to them which are 2 resturants with good food but they have there own style and the lady i met the day i was there was actually very nice and always made sure we where well taken care of. the best thing on the menu is shh...the falafel is freaking awesome , made fresh on site. you'll thank me later. there still a few new items i gotta try on the menu but overall the place has power. next where gonna get into some backlava.

    (4)
  • Khal Z.

First impression when walking in.."fresh & clean". Then you order.. I had the beef shawarma sandwich with a side of fries. Everything was great! From the bread to the meat and all the vegetables.. Add in the crispy fries and it made for a great dinner experience.! A must try!

    (5)
  • Lynn W.

Baklava was good. They had it refrigerated however if you let it set at room temperature, its great.

    (3)
  • Wendy L.

I had passed this place a few times and it caught my eye as a great place to stop for lunch. I finally did - easy to park - and was genuinely delighted. I had the chicken lunch box which was delicious chicken pulled right in front of you over a bed of lentil rice a salad and some spectacular hummus. Coupled with some garlic sauce and red pepper sauce, it was delicious. I can't wait to go back. This is definitely my new favorite lunch spot. Service was great too. The two gentleman behind the counter were very interested in making sure I was happy and understood the menu. Like I said - my new favorite lunch spot.

  • Matt J.

It's hard to say whether the service or food is better here. The woman at the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful and my beef pita was out of this world. It's a relatively new place and I think they deserve more customers than I saw!

    (5)
  • Ann D.

I am addicted to this place! Everything is so delicious. I always get their falafels, they are one of the best I've ever had. Their chicken shawarma over lentil rice is exquisite! They really know how to make delicious yummy food. Their service is absolutely wonderful, they are super friendly, and accommodating. We always eat here when in the area. They have been open a few months and hope they thrive because they are a real treat!

  • Spirit S.

I got my first order from this place today; the only regret & disappointment I have is not finding Pita Pocket soon enough!! It's a wonderful place! The atmosphere is relaxing and homey, and the staff is very welcoming & friendly! They are some of the nicest people I've met, & they surely make you feel welcomed! The falafels were out of this world! I'm of a Lebanese decent and I know as well as appreciate good falafels! They were very yummy! The lamb/beef shawarma was a little on the dry side, but that's not gonna make me stop being a customer. The chicken shawarma pockets were really good! Even my picky kids loved them, so that's a big plus! Overall this restaurant is an A for me! When you get great service, friendly staff, & delicious food, what else would you want?!

    (4)
  • Ericakes C.

They know their stuff!!! The food portion was huge, and the flavor, the flavooooor!!! Will return every chance I get :)

    (5)
  • Caiti R.

Amazing pita! The food was so fresh and flavorful and the staff was friendly. I would only recommend this place for pick up, there's no ambience and not much to look at when sitting outside as it is in a strip of Hollywood Blvd without much else to see. You won't be sorry you picked something up, just ask that they go easy on the garlic spread because while tasty, it will stay with you all day!

    (4)
  • Natalia G.

Place looks like a little hole in the wall along Hollywood blvd, but the food is very fresh and tasty! I was starving and the falafel pita with some tasty toppings/fillings definitely saved me. Very simple Mediterranean menu with very affordable a tasty options. If you are in the area and starving-stop by here!

    (5)
  • Rhonda R.

I've been meaning to do a review for a while. After 3 visits, I won't be returning to this location. The food is tasty and the "main guy" is nice enough, but he's not sanitary. That is, if I see you put your gloved hand into the raw chicken box, and then answer the phone, and then add fixins from the display for my to-go box...chances are I'm going to get salmonella poisoning. I've had to ask him to change his gloves every single time. No, thank you.

Very good food and excellent service! The real taste of the Middle East! :) Perfect for all times!

    (5)
  • Michelle C.

If your office isn't ordering from this place for lunch at least once a week you're doing something wrong. It's Shawarma/gyros. You can stuff it in a pita called a pocket or put it on a bed of rice and call it a platter. My favorite is the ribeye platter, with lentil rice and baba ganoush (that's a roasted eggplant dip that looks like hummus.) The food is just so fresh and flavorful and authentic. This ain't no Miami subs.

  • Rachel P.

Delicious Dive! The falafel pita was scrumptious! Fast service and great Mediterranean cuisine. The bathroom did not have TP or I would have given this 5 stars l.

Wonderful family run business. Try the Turkish sauce! Super friendly staff, the head chef wanted me to try everything! Omg, best homemade falafel this side of the Atlantic. Oh, and yes they deliver

  • Melissa C.

I thought I had eaten great falafel (NYC) but boy was I wrong. I don't even understand how great it was. We yelp'ed this place saw the reviews and had to try it! We weren't disappointed. not only was the customer service remarkable, but the food was TO DIE FOR. The cook took his time with us and explained what we were eating and what goes best with it. This man was a god send. TRY EVERYTHING. From the hummus to the chicken and rice, to the garlic sauce to the falafels EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. ohhhh and the portions are your money's worth and then some. Still craving it ! can't wait to go back!

Great place to eat. First time in this spot and the Pita's are full of flavor and filling for only $8-$9. The service was great as well.

  • Chris C.

Soooo Good! My sister and I walked in, and checked out the menu, when my sister asked what a Falafel was, the owner was shocked, and got to work getting her a sample. Three visits later and all my sister has ordered is the falafel pita. It's hard to find good fast Middle Eastern food, but this place has it. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we tried has been great. Clearly my sister's favorite is the falafel, I'm a fan of the ribeye wrap. My parents go for the kabob platter.

  • Vanessa T.

It is with sadness that I write this review. I just had such a horrible, rude experience here that I will now never return. Our first visits were great. Good, fresh middle eastern food at an affordable price. Unfortunately, whom ever is running this place after 3 pm is so rude and disrespectful that it negates whatever they had going for them. Point being, if you want someone to laugh in your face, not serve you the food you request and be incredibly disrespectful to you, then this is the place. Owners, if you are reading this, who ever is working at 8 pm on April 18th (man with dark hair) I would seriously reevaluate who you are putting in charge of your business. You have lost ours

  • Mina G.

Amazing!! I loved it! Get a mixed meat pita with almost every sauce and the fixings. Don't forget the combo to get some perfect fries. They are crunchy and fluffy!! Best way to feed yourself when you just need a yummy bite.

  • Alexis V.

I came here yesterday for a quick lunch. I ordered the Falafel platter; which comes with 3 grape leaves, rice, salad, 3 falafels, 3 pita breads, hummus, and sauces. I absolutely LOVED the grape leaves. However, the falafel was alright. It tasted a lot better with some sauce they recommended. The rice was a bit too greasy and I didn't try the salad. However, the hummus and the pita was AMAZING. I like my pita bready and a bit burnt. They did it perfectly and the hummus had a very nutty flavor. They make it with sesame seeds. I would come back but I wouldn't get the falafel.

    (3)
  • Michelle A.

Excellent falafel! Really enjoyed it with the pickled vegetables and the spicy sauce that the cook suggested. All of the other vegetables that were added looked and tasted fresh. The falafel was made to order and flavorful! Can't wait to go back and try some of their other items. Service was fast and friendly and I always appreciate when the cook suggests what goes with what. He seemed to enjoy what he was doing which can only help make the food taste even better.

  • Jessica S.

Thank You Yelp! If it was not for Yelp, I would not have stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant! They have the best falafel I have ever had. I am a vegetarian and a picky eater, so when I found this place it made all the difference. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff was nice and friendly and they took the time to explain what everything was. I have already been there 3 times in the last week. So kudos to the owners and keep up the good work.

  • Maddy P.

The food is bomb, no doubt. I got the falafel pita pocket and a few baklavas both for take out and to dine in. This place is far more of a take out place than dine in, though, as the kitchen is open to the seating so that the place is just a tad too warm. What really bugged me though is that they wouldn't give me tap water to drink, forcing me to buy their bottled water. I've never heard of a place doing that before.

    (4)
  • Tee D.

Great food, Great Prices and Great service. Nothing fancy here just a counter and some tables. Try the Falafel.

I don't understand why Pita Pockets has high reviews Walk in and order at the counter. I ordered the chicken lunch box, and my man got the beef lunch. The Lunches come with Fries or rice (which the server found inappropriate to serve he thinks it went bad (how old was rice??!)), and pita with any sauces you'd like. We sat ourselves at a table near the window. Dirty table. I'm guessing the one guy cooking does everything else too, so yeah cleanliness is lacking here which is why 3 stars. I found the chicken souvlaki to be good slight dry, but the sauces, and portions were both very good. Fries were good. My guy thought the beef seasoning was weird I tried it I've had that before in middle eastern food, it's like a cinnamon spice, so if you're not into that flavour try a different meat. I don't think we'll be back my guy didn't like the experience at all.

  • Kelsi C.

The falafel is nice, I just expected a little more flavor based off of the reviews I've read previously. The vegetables didn't seem 100% fresh either. I'm not a big fan of the fries either, they were very soggy and not fresh in my opinion. However, they have several menu options so I can only speak for the falafel. Their service needs to be worked on also. Delivery is an absolute hassle and the delivery driver wasn't the nicest. He took my change before I could tip him and left. Not a place I'd go back to honestly.

I came here for a quick dinner last week. I had the fatoosh salad and my husband had the chicken Cesar pita pocket and fries. The salad was delicious and huge, I had two meals from it. The pita was tasty, too much dressing, but the chicken was well seasoned and tasted great on those fresh pita bread. The fries were yummy. Definitely would come back to try other items.

Tried Pita Pockets for the 1st time today in the of a take out. Found the food to be very good. Order the Chicken Kabab lunch box. Came with a generous portion of lentil rice, 2 freshly made & nicely spice kabobs, a small salad and tzatziki sauce. Also ordered a side of Falafel is was one of the best I've had. The establishment is small & busy with limited tables. Prices are reasonable. Will try again in the near future.

Not bad. Solid pita pocket place near downtown Hollywood. Parking: Few spaces right in front on Hollywood Blvd. More behind the restaurant. Atmosphere: Clean and a notch more upscale than fast food restaurants. Four or five wooden tables inside and few metal tables outside. Service: Order and pick-up at the counter. The guy was very friendly and helpful. Had about a ten minute wait. He was filling out a pick-up order before us. Food: Falafel combo for my wife and chicken combo for me. Everything was fresh and hearty. The humus was especially flavorful and creamy. The combo added can soda & fries for $3.50. Caution - the pita pockets are bigger than they look, both my wife and I felt the fries were just too much food. Price - Two combos plus tax came to $23.74. Pita Pockets is not bad overall; I am just not as enthusiastic about it as fellow Yelpers. If the service was a tad faster and the price a bit lower, we may be back more frequently. As it is, we have two similar places closer to where we live.

"What starts bad is going to end bad" The ordering process is odd as I had to stand in a line to order from the cook and wait until he made my order then proceed to the cash register. To my luck there was a group of 4 in front of me and they were taking for ever to order and the cook was taking forever to make their order. Which was very annoying as I had to stand behind them and wait. In the sane world you order at the cash register get a receipt then find your seat and wait for them to call you or bring your order to you. I should have taken that as a sign and left. After I ordered I went and sat down, I was not going to stand around for watching the cook do his job. After a while I was like where is my order and I noticed people who came in after me being served and getting there food. So I walked up to the counter and the woman at the register asked me if I wanted to pay while my order was being made. But I did not see my order being made and she obviously noticed a perturbed look on my face. I hesitated on paying because if they were doing other orders who came after me I was going to walk out and go somewhere else for lunch. The cook called some larger younger dude from the back of the kitchen and he barged in the kitchen and asked me what I ordered, I said I already ordered. I was not going to tell them my order again. Then the dude was barking at me to come all the way to the end of the line that had formed so I could tell him my order again lol I was like I am not doing that. Then he and the original guy who took my order started YELLING at each other in what sounded like a dialect of Lebanese Arabic. Then the cook remembered my order and told him what to make. The woman behind the counter seemed very embarrassed at the behavior of the guy making my order. Personally I felt very uncomfortable and I think the few patrons in the restaurant seemed dazed and shocked by such uncouth behavior. What I unfortunately ordered... Chicken Shawarma Lunch Box - Chicken, salad, lentil rice, hummus & pita bread bit.ly/HQ0Xpi : While the side salad was tasty and populated with fresh vegetables. The hummus was somewhat bland and the pita bread was average at best. The chicken itself was "uniquely " unpalatable, it was not tender at all, nor did I taste any seasoning. Many parts of the chicken were burnt black and hard as steel. The lentil rice seemed as if it had been sitting on the food warmer for hours, it even looked dreadful. STAR RATING 2.0 Customer Service : Even as I am writing this review, I am still in a state of shock at the behavior I experienced in this restaurant. I was very uncomfortable paying for my food and eating inside this restaurant. STAR RATING 1.0 I give one star because the woman behind the cash register seemed friendly and had a smile. Obviously I am never going to return!

So yummy! My boyfriend and I went this afternoon. I got a falafel pita, he got a beef pita, and we split an order of fries. Before we ate the guy let us try all the sauces- all were good! We opted to get the garlic sauce and spicy sauce on our pita! It was delicious! The fries are frozen but we're very yummy because they were fried right before our sandwiches were made. All that was only $20.

So fresh, flavorful, addictive and yummy! My husband and I drive from North West Palm to come here. We've even gotten my SIL and boyfriend addicted. I highly recommend the veggie combo, its gluten free and vegetarian. They use a dedicated fryer for the falafels and fries so no cross contamination. My husband loves the Ribeye or Kefta kabobs. Today he tried lamb and beef shawarma which, according to him, was seasoned well and delicious. Try the baba ghanoush and red pepper hummus both great. .. their salads are very fresh. The portions are enough for 2 meals. I can't wait to come back again!

Good food. Best place for shawarma in Hollywood area. They serve in huge portions and give extra sides. I would definitely come back.

This place rocked. If you like pita and middle eastern flavours this is it! It's a no frills place and you can custom make just about any dish. There is seating outside. The fries were really good and of course the sandwiches are great! I liked the service, the person helping me went through the trouble of giving me a taste of all the sauces before making a final choice. Drinks are limited to soft drinks and bottled water and I hope you like Pepsi products. Very happy and you should be too!

My mom and I visited this place based off yelp reviews as I just moved into area. It was delicious! We both have chicken schwarma wraps which you then add your choice of toppings and sauces to. We took home some baklava to my dad which he loved. I will def be frequenting this place often from here on out

One way to describe this place is yummy! The service is great and quick and the food is always fresh. The falafel is super delicious and is fried right there on the spot. Great selection of kabob and sandwiches. The location is very convenient right off of 95 on Hollywood Boulevard. can't wait to go visit again and have another delicious gyro!

The food was good, but when i asked for a cup of water they said they don't give out water that I would have to buy bottled water or another drink. I have never been to a restaurant that has neglected a cup of water to a customer. On top of that, the place is really small and the greek salad had like three little cubes about less than a half an inch of feta cheese. I was so disappointed because I usually eat at a Real Greek restaurant down the road where their greek salad is cucumbers, huge tomatoes, and is about the same price of this puny poor excuse of a greek salad. Overpriced and ok food. I would not recommend.

I commend the garlic dip and the hummus is so delicious. They have Turkish salad sauce that my husband really likes, just the right spice and hotness he said. The platter itself is so big that I have leftovers for dinner. We paid $25 for the chicken shawarma, chicken platter that comes with rice and a strawberry aloe drink. It is not the cheapest shawarma place for a small hole in the wall food stall but it's definitely worth it.

Been here plenty of times, won't come back because this older guy who made my pita used no gloves(yes, I pay attention), he was busy talking to some buddy of his, so he forget to put gloves and even dipped into my pita with his fingers a few times. Not acceptable. Btw food is good, but they lost my business because of careless shit like that.

SO GOOD!! Stopped by here on my way to south beach. I was immediately greeted by the guy behind the counter and treated like I was the only person in the place. He gave me samples of all the sauces, gave great recommendations, and was super patient (I'd never ordered a pita pocket before)!! A+!!! Highly recommended!!

Excellent! It is been a long time I did not eat a pita like that: flavorful, fresh ingredients. The humus is to die for! Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Delicious!!! The food is so favorable and the staff is very friendly. Very happy I discovered this place. I use to order from another well known local Mediterranean chain restaurant in Miami, but they have nothing on Pita Pocket. The Chicken Pita with Garlic Sauce and spicy sauce is absolutely to die for. Now my regular lunch spot.

Solid Mediterranean joint! The falafel was good and the veggie options even better! The kibbe is also very good! The fiancé had a meat lunch box that was on point with rice, meat and veggies of your choice. The prices are pretty good for what you're getting. Definitely will be back if in the area and hungry for something quick and fresh!

Omg best falafel and Arabic food place ever. Falafel was great. I also got a shwarma pocket that was good and the manger was so friendly. The place is big but there building that they rent is shaped wired and can't fit enough tables even though they have the space for it. It's my only con even though it's not really there fault. Other then that 10/10!!!!!!

I have ordered from this restaurant probably around 10 times. Inconsistency is the theme. The first time I had it a while ago it was thoroughly mediocre, not memorable in the slightest. I tried it again a couple months ago because my roommate really wanted falafel and another restaurant messed up our order. And that time made us fall in love! The food was hot and fresh and pretty tasty. Prices great. And the baklava was the best I'd ever had! We actually ended up ordering again a few days later. That time I ordered and they didn't have the baklava but they offered me a different dessert to replace it. Every time we've ordered since then, no baklava (super sad face over here cuz it was so bomb). Each time the delivery was slower and the food was less good. Then recently we placed an order and they told me that they didn't have several things we ordered, and then the woman on the phone asked what part of the city I lived in (even though my address is already with the delivery order), I started describing the location and she immediately said they don't deliver there and it would be a $35 delivery charge. What? You've delivered to my house for months... She said she was unable to cancel my order herself and I needed to contact Eat24 (the delivery service). I was pretty taken aback, it was so different than the nice dude who talked to us the first time and offered to replace the dessert. Maybe they hired new employees who don't understand our passion for delivery falafel? Either way, I'm not sure I'll order again, maybe stop in the restaurant if I'm ever in the area, though I'm still a little butt hurt about the whole thing lol. Unfortunately I think I may never get to have baklava that delicious again. I seriously would've bought a whole tray :(

Great flavors and options abound. We've tried rib eye, chicken, and beef shawarma. All tasty, with amazing sauce options. Service is pretty quick, and the staff is always welcoming. Definitely not a pita place with boring options, it's Mediterranean style food.

Right on Hollywood Blvd on the left when coming from I-95, parking in the back, small but quaint location serving up very flavorful and unique Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the meat shawarma that was literally AMAZING, prices are reasonable (under $10 for most pita pockets) Only downer was that it's really hot inside and had to wait quite a while till we could place our order, besides that definitely a must if you're in the mood for a killer pita!

Best greek food you can have in town. I cant believe I have been there earlier! It feels like i wasted my time hahahah. The service is good, the food is even better. Even the fries were awesome, and i am not a fries person. I like the good ones, but wont eat much because of the fat they have, but these... I eat them all like a pig. The co-owner says is because they use fresh oil all the time. These guys care for their customers health and budget, too, because their prices are also good.

What a fabulous place for Mediterranean food. We found it on yelp and decided to stop in one afternoon. It looks to be family owned and operated. I believe the day we went in the owner was cooking. The restaurant is small inside with a few tables and they have a few tables outside as well. Many patrons come in and out for take out orders as well. I was quite pleased how clean it was. You order directly at the counter where the cook is or the cashier and they let you sit and relax before paying your bill. I grabbed a container of hummus from the refrigerated area which the cashier told me is made fresh daily. I really enjoyed the hummus, great flavor, creamy and excellent pita. I chose the chicken schwarma pita wrap. Other than it being hard to eat because it is stuffed with great tasting chicken, all kinds of fresh veggies and taziki sauce, oh my the flavor was so delicious!!! I really enjoyed it very much and was so thankful no friends were around because eating it made me look like a starving animal. LOL My daughter enjoyed her meal very much as well. They cook to order so be patient, sit back and trust me well worth the wait. This family operated business does a great job. See you again for some delicious food!!

Delicious! The chicken had good a nice, subtle flavor, I was definitely not disappointed. The Lady fingers were phenomenal. The lentil rice was so good, it ruined my dinner(we ate lunch). The tomato/cucumber salad was so good, it could have been the only meal I ate, but it wasn't. This is definitely a place to visit when in the area. I can't wait to try the beef kabobs next time! The service was great! This is a mom and pop spot that definitely takes pride in every detail of the restaurant! The service and pride in their product is something we need more of at other places. Great meal, the best in a long while!

While in the area on a Saturday afternoon, we wanted to grab a quick bite. I hopped on Yelp, saw this place, and drove right over!! I LOVED it! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great prices! We walked into the small location. The tables were clean. We ordered with the owner making the food (SO FRESH). I opted for the Chicken Shwarma lunchbox. It came filled with rice, chicken, garlic sauce, chili sauce, hummus, pita, and a tomato salad. Everything was so flavorful! I tried to eat as much as I could but it was tooooooo much. The pita pocket looked delicious as well, but I would order extra tahtziki. I got really excited when I saw they had fried pita bread. To me these are Pita Fries. One of my favorite restaurants in Tallahassee used to make these. However, they weren't quite the same. They were a little overcooked which made them too hard. The hummus is made fresh and had such great flavor. If you are eating there, they allow you to order your food, sit down and enjoy it and then go up and pay. Great concept. The owner and girl ringing up were so nice, it felt like a family place, especially when I saw a couple of locals pop in. Cant wait to go back!

Ever since the 1st Avengers Movie when at the end the Avengers are sitting down eating Shawarmas after NY was destoryed...I said to myself, I wonder how that Shawarma tastes. So, you know that I, Tha Yelp Daddy, had to try it. Actually, it was pretty good! This joint came up as the closest place that sells Shawarmas, so this was my opportunity to peep it out! The service-fast, friendly, accommodating and they deliver too! The food-Fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere- clean. The decor-Modern with a Mediterranean twist. The prices-good and they even have lunch specials! **Note: If you are dating someone who loves the Movie Avengers and they always wanted to try Shawarma then this place is a good place to start. So, check it...I ordered the Shawarma wrap, which was good but it needed a little extra sauce, to make it Amazing and I ordered some falafels, which are tasty as well. I'll be back to peep out some other things!

My friend is a vegetarian and craved falafel, so we Yelp'd this restaurant to try. Yelp did NOT disappoint! Pita Pockets is a delicious restaurant with authentic Middle Eastern foods. The cook, who also took our orders, was very helpful with explaining what he had to offer. He was incredibly nice and gave hefty proportions in each of our meals. I chose the beef meal, which came with a combination of beef and lamb meat, two sides, and a pita. The freshness of the herbs in the Tabbouleh salad was refreshing. The hummus was smooth and flavorful. Both added to the delicious and hearty meats that are roasted in plain view of customers. The meat isn't dried out, but tender and melts in the mouth. I am daydreaming about the food as I write this... I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will not hesitate to return. Unlike other restaurants, you order your meal and take it to your seat. You pay after you finished your meal and ready to leave. It was something they had to explain to us when we ordered. I had a wonderful dining experience and I am happy to support a small business.
