Good place to go if you are shopping on Oakwood Plaza. It looks like an original american dinner from 50th, both inside an outside. A lot of nice old style posters on the walls. Can not tell anything special about the food, regular diner's menu. Last time I ordered steak with eggs and pancakes, as you can see on picture. Service is very polite, just the waiter last time disappeared for apx 20 min without taking an order.

The funny thing is, we live so close by this place, and talked about coming in here for years, but never did. So, it seems like the time is now. We walked in and felt like we just went through the time machine. The place is decorated like the dinner in the 50's, which I enjoyed a lot. The menu is nothing special, but the food tasted delicious. In this visit I ordered the grilled pork chop. The meat was very juicy and I love the steam vegetables served on the side. My wife ordered the omelet and she loved it too. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and took really good care of us. In the end, the bill was like gong to Denny's, but the food and service was 10 times better. The only thing I felt kind of uncomfortable was their managers. They were very vocal when giving orders (and criticisms) to their staff. Maybe its me, but I'd not want to embarrass my staff in front of the customers.

Good Old American Diner Right off I-95 and Stirling are you find this little trailer like diner glowing at night. You'll see it on the expressway but getting there is a little tricky since its in a plaza. Parking is conveniently located at the entrance. When you walk in a waitress greets you and brings you to your table almost immediately. They have everything you would expect to find at a diner and that's just perfect if you're in the mood for a quick snack or meal. Prices are great too! Almost everything on the menu is under $10 and the food comes out fairly quick. Desserts are DELICIOUS and usually exceptionally large which is always a win win in my book. I highly recommend getting the The Club sandwich with fries to me it taste like perfection! Also the cookie dough and brownie sundae is definitely something you wanna experience in this life time.

Over prices. Grilled cheese was good and so was the veggie burger. The milkshakes are pretty good too. Only downside if the extremely high priced diner food.

Nice open patio, extensive menu, breakfast all the time. They have a big Patio for puppies, and have beer and wine.

While vacationing in Florida, my husband and I came across the Moonlite Diner. This is a really neat, old fashioned style diner located in Hollywood, near Fort Lauderdale. The food is standard diner fare, but it is tasty. I had the 2222 Meal, which consists of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 sausages. It was very good. My husband had their club sandwich and said it was also very good. The service is quick and the servers are friendly. The next time we are back in the area, we will make sure to stop back in here.

After catching a movie, we wanted to find something to eat and came across the Moonlite Diner. Beautiful diner, the old style art deco kind. First of all, they had about a half dozen beers on tap. That's always a good thing! I had a traditional holiday dinner - turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and such. Really, really good. The food and decor were fine but the a/c was a bit too high and just too cold.

Nice, middle of the road diner. I don't think I have ever had diner food that I was like WOWEEE this is AMAZING! It always happens when I just have a craving for diner food and I can pretty much counft on what I am going to get. I had fish tacos - which were ok but a little soggy. It was kind of an impulse order - probably not the best thing to order. I also had French Onion soup, a diner staple, which also had that ol' comfortable diner taste. It's not anything special, but the service was pretty friendly, the waitresses seemed to get along nicely with each other which created a nice vibe and the food satisfied that diner craving. It is what it is, and accomplishes what it sets out to do.

Visiting from CA and just decided to eat here on a whim. Decor inside is totally cool, many 50s and 40s steel signs. Staff was super nice. I got Baja veggie burger with mashed potatoes. I didn't want a heavy meat burger this late. It had plenty of flavor and bread was soft, very good. I just had to remove sesame seeds, allergy. My girlfriend got a salad and it was enormous. I read in tips that portions are big. I am very pleased with the overall experience here. I will surely stop by again.

Great diner, good greasy food, as far as diners go this is a great place. The shakes are excellent Large selection of favorites hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwich, everything you would expect to see in a diner. You won't be disappointed ohhh. And great service.

True american diner atmosphere with a mix of family friendly and biker bar. The menu has a wide array of comfort foods from meatloaf to gyros. I had the smothered chicken (sliced chicken with caramelized onions and green peppers on a bed of rice). It was delicious but a just a bit too much for me to finish in one sitting.

On top of everything not only with me but her other tables as well.... I will definitely be back and when I do I'll be asking for her.... Food was delicious by the way :))) cheese fries were great

Wow, breakfast was REALLY GOOD. Service was exceptional...We went to eat at 2pm and I was nervous the food would be old, but everything was cooked fresh.....The waitress was SUPER nice and friendly.....Thank you Theressa for the great service : )

I came here one morning coming from work with a coworker. They have good breakfrast. This place sort of reminds you of Johnny Rockets. Small place with outdoor seating if you choose with the view of water and the highway. It's near a plaza with other shops and restaurants.

Came in here for a quick snack before a movie with 2-3 of my friends and we sat at the "bar" or "counter" or whatever it's called. Was greeted with a sour-looking girl who seemed irked that we were sitting there... We just got milkshakes, juice, and fries. Stayed for 15-20 minutes, ate, chatted, then paid and left. Our "waitress" was sweet, but the girl that was standing there when we came in? Yeah, no. How about you guys get someone that can actually put a smile on her face to be the first person customers see when they walk in? The brownie sundae was good though.

Lots of choices on the menu! Breakfast is served all day. I ended up getting the club sandwich...so good! Boyfriend had the turkey burger and said it was very good. We both got milk shakes...amazing! What I would call real milkshakes! Staff was very friendly and seemed to have a good dynamic among them..our server was Marisa..Friendly and on top of everything...manager was very friendly and involved with staff..We will be back :)

I'm from Jersey and have been vacationing in Florida for a week, this being said I have been craving some diner food and this place defiantly hit the spot!!! This diner is the most beautifully furnished restaurant in Dania Beach! They also have a place to sit outside that is just beautiful when the sun is coming down. So atmosphere is a A++ and the food is great too! Don't forget the milk shake, they have a whole page of them! The reason I don't give it a full 5 is because my table ordered sweet potato fries and we all got regular and I didn't get my water until I asked Again. That was fixed by the waiter with no problem though, sweet guy. Friendly staff. Deff recommend for a nice view, great meal and shake, and some good memories! Enjoy!

Always enjoyed this spot late night! The milkshakes are the BEST! Well, today i met my cousin for breakfast and we had: biscuits and gravy, pancakes(banana and granola) an egg white omelet with veggies(mushrooms and spinach and mozz cheese) and fresh fruit(bananas and strawberries). The food was nice and hot and tasted great. The coffee was a tad bit bitter(it may have been at the end but the refil was not bitter at all) Tiffani(with an I) was a sweet girl and a hard working server...we asked for separate checks...and didnt get that but Tiffani redid our bill(my cousin pays corporate) . All in all 4 stars..i will be back but in the wee hours of the morning ///not for breakfast...way too early for me The portions are huge and delicious we miss heather the server who is in north carolina , walter who now runs Dada's in delray and Dave who was a lead singer of a band afterforever...all 3 my favorite servers a few years back!

Just ok, the services was fast, the staff, nice, food nothing especial, prices a little high for the nature of the place, but I will say, yes I would come back, some day

Bomb milkshakes. The food is okay. My sweet potato fries didn't seem cooked very well. Really love the milkshakes though! Our waitress was kind and attentive. The bathrooms were not clean though so I didn't like that. No wait which was good, seated quickly. I will say again, milkshakes. Haha!

Really...not gonna eat underdone food...no French dressing?? And they call this a "Dinor"...I think not! Just go to Jack's Dinor...for real Dinor food...waitress was making me nervous, kept asking me if I'm ready...no one in the place at dinner time should have been a clue...forget the address, please

Great place for breakfast! We spotted the diner last night driving in to the hotel, and were wanting a full hot breakfast the next morning. The place was busy at 10:30 Sunday morning, but we were greeted and instantly seated at a booth. Our server was quick to greet also, and took our drink order. After reviewing the large breakfast menu selection we decided on the Hungryman breakfast. Wow what a serving, scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon, hash browns, biscuit & gravy, and 2 pancakes. It was served hot, and made just right. Our server kept checking on us and refilled the coffee. We enjoyed our breakfast feast, and satisfied with the service. We will return.

This was my first time eating in this diner and no regrets, it was a casual classic diner with great options in the menu such as breakfast, pancakes, shakes, desserts, all kinds of lunch, appetizers and some dinner options. A variety of taste in the food I ordered which was greek Mahi Mahi wrap, my husband ordered the Gyro and was pleased as well. Prices are moderate I enjoyed the lunch I will come back.

Moonlite is my local diner, and just perfect for me when I'm craving breakfast to cure any weekend hangovers. Food is tasty and cheap, and the breakfast potatoes always hit the spot. I've tried many different breakfast options - the french toast, skirt steak, pancakes, corned beef and all have been great. The only option I wouldn't order again would have to be the eggs benedict. Haven't ventured on to the lunch or dinner menu though, so I can only atest to breakfast. The service is always superb and the servers are quick and attentive. Parking can be a pain when they get busy - there is ample parking in Oakwood, but if you make the mistake of turning into Moonlite diner's parking lot and finding it full, it can be a challenge to get back out.

Very nice place, the decor reminds me of an old school diner. The service was excellent, our waitress was nice and efficient we were not waiting long for our drinks nor for food. I ordered the "Two eggs and meat" breakfast with corned beef as my meat and eggs soft scrambled. The food tasted okay, the serving of corned beef was small, and my eggs were over cooked. Overall it was okay, not very notable, but if you're in need of a diner it'll do.

Went here last night and had a similar experience to several other diners: mistake on order, nice but inattentive server, etc. Starting from the top, I was greeted and sat right away. I should add that there were 3-4 servers and the diner was pretty empty. After about ten minutes, my server came over and took my order for a buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries, and a beer. I then sat for ten more minutes, thirsty. I flagged down another server since I would rarely see mine, and asked who could pour me a dinner. She did this cheerfully. When my order came, it came with regular fries. I pointed this out to the person who brought me my food, who said she'd check with my server and that they'd put in the correct order. My server came over and apologized. Since they made things right, and did not charge me extra for the sweet potato fries, I have no complaints, although the food was just okay, and I had to flag down a server to get served both glasses of beer. The hours and location are convenient to the hotels on Stirling Rd., and I would go back.

French toast and hash browns available all day? Yes! Real Coca-Cola fountain drinks? Yup! Neon lights so you can spot the place even if your driver is not from this country? Yay! No drama; just great food.

The MANAGER: 1 - Tried sitting us at the back of the restaurant at some old round off beat table instead of the open nice booths. (You should be ashamed, and yes, we should have left then). 2nd - Made sure (when he saw us getting up to leave after our meal) to go stand by the door, not open it, and not even say thank you or goodbye even though we were STILL nice enough to tell him have a nice day. 1 star isn't enough! Put a negative symbol on the beginning of the star you see up there. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. To the manager: There's a saying in the south for people, like you, who behave so rudely and unprofessional towards paying clients who have the world wide web at their disposal to tell of an experience such as this and rate you..."Well bless your heart!" and if you are from the south, you know what that means! The ONLY redeeming point of this place was our sweet and attentive waitress....who he was also rude to.

Customer service was attentive and they were flexible to my gluten free needs. Not much a fan of the food. My meal was a turkey burger with sweet potato fries. Even though it came out piping hot fresh it was tasteless. This place is great for senior citizens tourists.

We were visiting from California, and got into town late from our flight. We found that this place was open late and ventured in cause we were starving. IT WAS WONDERFUL!! The prices were very affordable and the food was absolutely delicious. I was happy to have a nice beer after a stressful flight too :) the service was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. Really really tasty food, we were raving about it! Definitely recommend!

First time to this location. Its a real diner, from the outside to the interior décor. Very friendly and efficient service. Met friends for dinner. We started by splitting a homemade shake, the peanut butter banana chocolate shake. It could feed a family of 4 its that big. And it was awesome! Chunks of bananas and enough PB and chocolate to meld all of the flavors together. My meal was the French Dip sandwich with the French fries. Good sandwich but wish the au jus had been a bit stronger in flavor. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches. Manager came over to check on us and really seemed to care for the place and his staff. Our server was exceedingly friendly. All in all, they have good food, friendly service in a generally clean environment. Hard to complain about anything. But I will note that the parking spots in the lot are not very wide. Be careful when getting in and out of your car.

I had lunch here the other day while running errends nearby. This place definitely has curb appeal - it is designed like a steel train car. It is a breakfast-all- day, soup and sandwhich type diner. It is very clean and modern, with very friendly and polite service. The food (I had the French Dip, she had the Patty Melt) was fresh, well prepared and delicious. Great prices - $25 lunch for two. Nice! I'll be back!

the milkshake tasted great, also my buffalo burger! santa fe burger was boring tasteless. 7up had a slightly chloric taste, perhaps they cleaned the pipes. but service was helpful and friendly!

I honestly don't know where to begin. The place is absolutely disgusting. I don't think they clean the place. The staff is rude and careless about their customers. After receiving a voucher for the last bad visit I had, I still had a horrible experience. The server brought my son a raw burger and when I told her, she asked if I ordered it raw! The manager stopped by the table and when I mentioned we don't plan on ever returning to this restaurant, she just walked away.... Save your money and go to a diner that cares about their customers and the quality of service. Dirty restaurant with rude employees!!! Never again....

Perhaps it was the addition of fresh banana or maybe the sinful smell of breakfast meats cooking... this place is a great find! Delicious food, fast friendly service. I had the French toast and it was A-mazing! My husband ordered an omelettes and the presentation was quite impressive for a diner with toast and fruit. He did mention that the coffee could have been better though. Overall great experience and will visit again.

Over 40 minutes to get food on a Sunday at 2 pm. Not acceptable. The "Caesar" salad had ranch dressing. Eggs overlooked. Turkey sausage gross. Won't be back.

I'll break it down, first of all the seating was right away and the ambiance of the restaurant was there and the attitude was right. It was just lacking in all other areas. :/ I do not like giving bad reviews but this place didn't have the right formula to make a reasonable restaurant. Our appetizer(deluxe combo) was good for 2/3 of the starters. There "Buffalo wings" were weak and lacking flavor as well as having larger than normal hairs protruding from the wings. Even though we got our apps pretty fast it did not make up for the quality of the food we received. Our(wife and I) main course was sub-par at best we both got the Ultimate grill cheese me (hash browns) and her(fries) the sides were bland and in need of flavoring. The overall grill cheese was saturated in grease and processed cheese the tomatoes were ok and (only i got the bacon)bacon was good. I got a milk shake to go since there was a deal for checking in at the place however the shake it self was poorly made with a 1/3 of the bottom covered in cookie dough (shake of the month-oct). The only reason I gave two stars was because the manager was out and about trying to teach his staff and they support military. Other than that i won't be going to this place again. Which is a shame because I bet the potential is there to make it a good place and great hot spot. Also most of the staff seemed to young to care what they were doing and my wife saw one on her phone instead of helping out the staff and when she was asked to do something she seemed oblivious to what to do. So the manager ended up doing it. My advice is only go if you're looking for dissatisfaction and sub-par food

This happens to be my favorite diner. I have been coming in for a decade. I love their pancakes. Biscuits and gravy are awesome. I rarely can enjoy biscuits and gravy because I can't eat the sausage in the gravy. Here they make their gravy with no meat which is awesome. They do a real good job and run a nice tight ship. Service is great. Even when the place is packed.

I went to this diner for breakfast since I stayed at a hotel nearby. Portions were pretty big, I could not finish it all. Pancakes were huge, make sure you say you want half an order which is two pancakes. Chocolate milkshake was good too. Cool decor & design!

I was excited to eat here for some good diner food. The outside looks like an old school diner. Inside, it was hot. Very hot. At least our table in the back was a bit cooler. The pictures in the entry way were so sun faded & never updated. One of them was completely white. We were seated in the very back just about 3 steps from the bathroom door. The menu had plenty of options. I ordered the slider bacon cheeseburgers with fries, husband had french toast with bacon & son had strawberry pancakes with bacon. The server was pleasant even if we had a hard time hearing her as it's super loud in there, with the music & cramped seating. The food came fast. My son looked at his bacon & said I'm not eating that. It was two tiny, pieces of flimsy, greasy bacon. His pancakes were fine. My slider came with bacon & no lie, the bacon was about the size of a postage stamp. The fries were frozen & fried not cut fresh. My husbands french toast was ok, not the best & again, two ity bitty, flimsy pieces of fatty bacon. Even for diner food, this was not anything great or special like I was expecting. The bill was $36 before tip. Kind of high for 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of french toast & sliders in my opinion.

Was seated right away on Sat morn. Our waitress Tara was very friendly and was able to work out a special order for one of our children in the group. Food was cooked perfectly and came out pretty quickly. Will definitely return for another meal. Thanks Moonlite!

Visually the atmosphere is super cool 50's-60's. The booths are comfortable. The waitresses are flawless with their personality and execution. Friendly without being annoying and attentive across the board. The food is solidly good. I wish they didn't play cheesy 80's music, because the atmosphere is 50's 60's. You can't go wrong here.

Today was my second time to the diner, and I have to say I am disappointed. I ordered the smoked brisket breakfast with eggs over home fries, but instead of home fries it was served over a soggy plate of mediocre hash browns. I asked and the waitress said it is because customers were requesting hash browns, but I don't understand taking the delicious home fries off the menu to make the change. The service was great otherwise, just bleh. Gross. On the other side, the time before I'd had a delicious plate of huevos rancheros (with home fries) that was great. Hopefully they at least add the home fries back in as an option in the future.

The Moonlight Diners are great! Love the body builder omelette and the salads are very good. The help is always friendly and keep the soft drinks full. The food comes very quickly and it always hot. Great place for a business meeting as the booths are comfortable and the place is not that noisy.

Moonlite Diner is my new favorite place to way! Great food, and friendly (but not overbearing) wait staff. I'm in town for a Conference and the hotel provided a list of nearby restaurants. When I walked in, I knew it was exactly what I had hoped for and I ate here every chance I've had on this trip. I just wish they were open for breakfast earlier and had a location in Palm Beach County!!

I went here for breakfast with a couple girls that I work with. First it was really hot outside and when we got inside the expected a cool breeze to meet us at the door. That did not happen. We were seated quickly and our server was there pretty quick. It is Sunday so it was a little busy but the server seemed to be in a rush for everything. When we asked her a few questions about the menu she seemed irritated. So the service was okay. The food was pretty good I had the 2222(eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage links). I subbed my eggs for hash browns but everything was good. I would go back again just to get a milkshake! I seen multiple people with them and everyone looked great.

I just went to this diner a couple of days ago and I loved it! It's just like an old fashioned diner (speaking on the decor). The food was great-- I had the chicken pita with fries. The chicken pita had grilled chicken with some sort of honey barbecue sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomato and PINEAPPLES! The pineapple part was weird to me, and being a geek for strange food combinations I just had to try it. It turned out to be great! The fries were good too and were brought to the table steaming hot. The service was OK; nothing great and nothing to complain about. The food came out pretty quickly too. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot!

This place is pretty nice! Usually my wife and I go have breakfast by Hollywood beach on the boardwalk. We usually go to the Oakwood plaza for the movie theatre or the stores on the strip, so we have been passing the Moonlight Diner for years now decided to check it out. Great food, good prices, look forward to spending about 10 per person, and you'll walk out of there full and ready for a nice nap! We picked this place to have our last breakfast to end the year, but will definitely come back next year!

We walked to the diner from the hotel through a not very pedestrian friendly area to say the least. Thanks to the lack of sidewalks we dodged cars and hopped ditches but the dangerous journey was worth it. The diner was exactly what you should expect from a diner and was even in a stand alone sleek metal building with the appropriate amount of art deco accents. The food was fast and the staff was friendly. We were glad to find it after walking past several fast food places. Not exactly where it appears on the map as it is almost in the home depot parking lot.

Not impressed owner said sometimes his crew comes up with their own ideas when questions come up about what to do with Orders that come out wrong .Your not supposed to ask for the food back and not replace the whole order in the middle of having breakfast as your replacing a persons eggs take back to kitchen and get same cold sausage cold toast and cold homefries and act like you never had a problem when customer tries to explain what went wrong . Come on owner listen when people tell you something constructive. Everyone makes mistakes give customers what they pay for. Don't makes excuses its your crew and when the orders wrong it's wrong fix it the right way. Have a nice day we won't be back.

When it comes to Diners, I am a pretty picky person. I like my diners to be old school. I want to be able to smell the grill as soon as I enter the place. I want my servers to be friendly, and at the same time have some personality. I want a traditional diner setting. And I want perfect diner style (and flavor) food. The Moonlite Diner has it all and then some. The portions are Ginormous, the prices are insane, and the food is amazing. I will definitely be coming back here again.

My husband and I are diner people and this one is the best we've had in South Florida. The diner itself seems tiny from the outside, but the railroad style seating inside seems to go on forever. It's almost all booths so comfy seating for all! The decor is cool too. The service is hit or miss depending on how busy it is. The menu is massive and the food is really good and cheap. The breakfast platters are excellent. We'll be back!

after watching restaurant steak out you look at places with a different mind set. This Diner ran like a dance! the girls did not stop moving even helping each-other out at times. The manager did not stop moving/working. you often see managers at other restaurants taking a very relaxed almost lazy role. not here, he actually worked and worked hard. that is why this place is as efficient as it is. Our waitress Tatiana was amazing, really knew the menu, made amazing recommendations. Everything was fast, and the food was great! Where we sat you could see into the kitchen and it was really clean.

This is your typical diner. Food is nothing special or memorable. If you live in the area give it a try, but I would not go out of my way to come here. I will say that they do have REALLY good milk shakes! This would be a cool place to bring children before a movie. Parking can be a bit of a pain if you come during the weekend. They have a small parking lot that fills up quickly. You might find yourself parking behind the diner or across the street in Home Depot. The longest I have ever had to wait for a table was maybe 10 minutes (on a Sunday). Service has always been good and friendly.

Within walking distance of our hotel, the food options are pretty varied for a diner. The portions are much larger than we expected and still delicious. I can't eat heavily fried foods and was able to find foods I can outside the usual salads and tuna sandwiches. My mother ordered the ice cream cookie and found it to be twice the expected size. Can't wait to try the raspberry chiffon when I get home. I overstuffed on the chicken fajita panini. Niki, our server, was friendly and the food arrived quickly.

Place was OK. I had breakfast and my family had burgers. The burgers were good. Cooked nicely served with chips or fries. Breakfast was nothing special eggs ok, sausages cold , French toaat a little dry. I was annoyed that a small condiment size of cream cheese cost an extra $1 which we discovered on the bill. Coffee was good . Service was prompt and polite.

I have been by this area several times and wanted to try out the food because they have recreated a genuine dinerlook with the aluminum siding and neon sign. I went today with a business partner for fun. I arrived first and went inside and chatted up the very cordial server who didn't mind my video making and ipics. I asked if we could eat on the shaded, roomy, patio with a view of a minilake. "Oh sure!" Very cheerful although it was quiet and it meant she would do a bit of walking. The chairs are very comfortable for plastic and at the exact right height to the table; lots of room, big table for a four. We split very crispy wings with a creole chili sauce. They were a buck each and that entitled me to a bowl of chili at 1/2 price ($3.00). It was meaty and I liked their receipt. My partner had a Rachel, not too fatty, good price with excellent nutty bread and a bowl of so so French onion soup. Overall, I was impressed with this joint. On the way out the manager asked if everything was OK in a very nice friendly manner. The interior is really four stars for authenticity; everything about the decor is spot on. They are open until 2:00 am on weekends so I will most certainly put it on my regular list for late nite.Tonight I was sad to hear the waitress say, "They don't give us the code to the WiFi." The management really should wise up because soon diners won't be going to restaurants, doctors, hospitals or anyplace else that thkes this attitude. I also found out they don't know what potatoe salad is, serve immitation ook cheese on their teeny, tiny bowl of French (ha ha) onion soup and put only the smallest possible ammount of meat in their Ruben. Tsk, tsk! I had this thought tonight when I went here after the cinema. Internet communities offer the advantage of instant information exchange that is not possible in a real-life community. This interaction allows people to engage in many activities from their home, such as: shopping, paying bills, and searching for specific information. Users of online communities also have access to thousands of specific discussion groups where they can form specialized relationships and access information in such categories as: politics, technical assistance, social activities, health and recreational pleasures. Virtual communities provide an ideal medium for these types of relationships because information can easily be posted and response times can be very fast. Another benefit is that these types of communities can give users a feeling of membership and belonging. The ownership of this chain has not taken into account the fact that in the United States alone there are nine (9) social networking companies with a combined active registration of three (3) BILLION five hundred and forty two thousand active registered users(worldwide). These folks are everywhere using cell phones, tablets, phablets and other forms of computers. They are interacting within Facebook, Google+,Whatsapp,Twitter, Linkedin,Reddit, Tumblr, Windows Live, Dropbox and Yahoo Groups. In all, there are many more companies folks are communicating on.In order to use them they need the internet. The ownership of Moonlite seems ill concerned or unaware of this community. In my travels I am seeing new signs on restaurant door saying words to the effect that THEY NOW OFFER FREE WiFi. If you go for dinner at the Moonlite two things happen: 1. They refuse to give you access to their WiFi which appears on your device as MOONLITEHOLLYWOOD and 2. A diner cannot get a signal through their metal ceiling and all metal encased diner. The local management is sympathetic, but can do nothing. I have had it with cheap owners who care little for their diner's personal social interaction. It's not the food; it's OK and lots of it and the help is great, but who can cope with an attitude so pervasive as these owners'?

Was greeted with a Yelp sticker on the door. So we thought we would try it, and it was one of the better options in the area. Nice option for sitting outside on the deck. Plenty of sunshine. Food was ok. I ordered the Reuben which was satisfying; accompanied with some home fries which were a tad greasy. The corned beef was a tad too fatty, but overall the sandwich was pretty good. Really good pumpernickel. J ordered the gyro platter with coleslaw. He said it was alright. To me it looked a little plain, but he seemed to enjoy it. Server was great. She must have been training someone since she had a shadow. The trainee might want to step it up a bit in terms of enthusiasm. Decent place that looks like an old diner, but is modern with Denny's type food. Might have to swing back through to try one of their shakes.

As a transplant from Baltimore going to this place was like coming home. Like ordered before I even opened the menu. I had a black and white shake and fries well done (makes them extra crunchy) before I even had opened the menu and they were delicious. I went with the Philly for dinner and was not let down. The bread was soft and fresh, all the ingredients were good, and the cheese was spread out perfectly through everything. My boyfriend got the club sandwich which was huge and also delicious. Getting there was a bit of a confusion for me and the location is not what you'd expect for a classic diner, but it was very much so worth it!

Yesterday morning we were driving to our storage to get all of our Christmas decorations and decided to stop for breakfast. The place is your typical diner, with bar stools at the counter, and booths. It was crowded but we got a booth right away. I thought this place was really cute and very clean. From the hostess to our waitress, they were all friendly with big smiles on their faces. We ordered right away and it did not take long at all for our food to arrive. Coffee was meh, orange juice was very good, and daughter ordered chocolate milk. Our food arrives: Omelet with bacon and mozzarella cheese, side of potatoes and toast. French Toast with strawberries Two eggs, two pancakes, sausage links, toast and potatoes for hubby. The plates were huge, they give you alot of food. My daughters french toast was excellent and it came with six pieces, strawberries all over the plate. My omelet was good but I dislike when they overcook it. When you overcook an omelet it makes it very dry and hard. To bad because it could have been a great omelet. The potatoes were not to our liking. I prefer hash browns for breakfast. These potatoes were highly seasoned and it just reminds me of something you would eat for dinner not breakfast. The sausage links were my favorite part. Yes, hubby's plate came with two and I snatched them both right off his plate. They were a nice size and so good. I would seriously come back just for them. All in all we did enjoy our breakfast and I did really like the quaint, cute diner. I checked out their lunch and dinner menu and it looked good. May have to come back for lunch or dinner. The prices seem to be average for diner's. The plates are very big. Plenty of food. The service was good. Worth checking them out.

The food and the service are always excellent especially when you have Tatiana as your waitress. During our last visit we were subjected to the manager Matt's homophobic and overall ignorant rant which kind of ruined our overall experience. We would strongly suggest that management get rid of him before he destroys the great reputation.

I've been to Moonlight Diner a few times, and the service is always very friendly. Friends and I went for a bite last night, and the diner had just been mopped or the tables cleaned or something, and the smell of whatever cleaning solution had been used was unbearable, so we sat outside. We ordered one chocolate shake, one BLT sandwich with fries and one French onion soup. I think that the prices are high for what you get. The French onion soup tasted canned, the BLT was OK but the fries tasted frozen, and overall, I got the impression that the food items aren't always fresh. I think we would have gotten better food at Denny's (which has improved tremendously of late) overall. If I ever go back, it would be for a real meal instead of just a bite, but what we got this last time did not impress. I think that I can pretty much tell when the food is homemade (in the restaurant kitchen) and when it tastes like it was cooked from frozen and otherwise made elsewhere and heated up. That was the impression I got from this last visit.

Very noisy place. My head still hurt. Whaaaa I ordered biscuits and gravy. It was just OK Too many biscuits for the little gravy I got. Waitress had no personality Maybe they had a bad day. But me, I had a bad breakfast. I will pass on that place next time.

Love this place. Great food, fast service, reasonable prices, and CLEAN! Can't say that about most diners. Get the Chicken Gorgonzola Salad if you're here for lunch or dinner, or the 2222 if you're here for breakfast!

This place is an all around great find! Teresa was or waits and gave us five star service. Her recommendations were on point, I ordered the tuna melt, my friend the Monte Cristo. She also suggested sweet potato fries with yummy marshmallow dip that was to die for. We are hard to please being fat girls but I can truly say this was by far one of our best eating adventures on our trip.

I used to love this place when it was the Starlite Diner. Same decor, almost identical menu, but damned if the entire joint has gone to shit. This is a dive and I expect it to be so, yet the food was always good and the service just as good. Sadly, the quality of both has degraded significantly. It took 5 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our drink order. In an empty diner with just one other table occupied that's beyond unacceptable. Since it had been a while since we'd eaten there we needed a couple of moments to review the menu. Seems that was code for "disappear like a ninja". We almost had to resort to flare guns to get her back. When we finally got the food, it looked "low rent". Sub-par for even diner level fare. The speed at which we got it made me question the freshness as well. Because most of it was fried I didn't worry too much. All in all it was a craptastic experience and I doubt I'll ever return. Next time I want good diner food I'll hop on over to Peter Pan Diner or even Flashback.

I agree with the reviewer that said I liked it better when it was the Starlight Diner. I remember going there years ago when it had the other name, and when I've recently returned and saw it was the Moonlight Diner, I thought I was going crazy. Pheew. Not the case, they did change the name. The portions are ridiculously huge, and super greasy. Don't think of ordering the dessert unless you want to go into a sugar coma. My husband ordered the apple pie thinking it would be some small slice and they brought out this huge monstrosity with like 4 scoops of ice cream. The decor is cute, typical retro diner, but that's probably the best quality. I've been there a few times, and just noticed they had outdoor seating. That might be a plus for some.

I just love these types of diners. This was my saturday morning hangover breakfast experience for a few months while i stayed in Hollywood. I was a particular fanatic for the reuben sandwich. And i always had to have an extra to take home incase my hangover acted up again. I love the classic 50s decor which gives you the typical American diner experience within a tin box. Love it!

    (4)
  • Richard D.

It's a retro inspired diner that has the usual foods one would expect from a place like this. The shakes are good. Tried the club and my Gf ordered the Philly, everything was fine just don't expect extraordinary quality. Luckily no spiders were in either of are sandwiches, at least that are vision could pick up haha(earlier review). Point is, if you are in the area and hungry give it a shot, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it however.

This diner is conveniently located (for us when we're in So Fla) in a shoppong center in Hollywood. It's definitely good for kids. My hubby & I had burgers that were quite good. My son had a hot dog that he loved. The french fries were ok. I loved the fact that I could ask for a "black & white" and have them bring me the exact right thing! (For the uninitiated, that's a chocolate soda with vanilla ice cream.). My hubby had a cinnamon bum with ice cream for dessert - tasty but perhaps a tad too sweet.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for diners - I guess it's from growing up with a grandma that lived in New Jersey. Years spent driving through the famous "Jersey" circles, face pressed up against the back window of our van, watching the sunlight dancing on the shiny exteriors of the diners that were saved for special occasions - like when grandma didn't offer us dinner even though she invited us over at 4. Fast forward to college, filled with little money and the unending cup of coffee and a sea of fabulous pies. Leaving us in the present day, where one person can fill their meat loaf quota while another can have breakfast all day. Diners, are sheer genius. I feel like I'm home at the Moonlite Diner. The customers aren't grouchy, they are all in a good mood - not what you find in most chain restaurants today. The staff is very friendly, and doesn't rush you or judge your request for french fries in stead of mashed potatoes with your turkey dinner - lots of gravy. It's always very clean, and we've never had to wait for a table. Not even at breakfast! My husband and I were just at the Moonlite (or, as my husband and I call it, "The Shiny Diner") this week for dinner. My husband tries to order one of the salads since he's on a diet, but the Texas burger always wins. He's a huge burger fan, and says that the Texas burger is the best burger he's ever had. (That means a lot coming from a chef.) I try to order something different every time. This week I had the turkey dinner and it was excellent. I do however get a diet vanilla coke every time. I grew up drinking vanilla coke - and it wasn't that abomination in a can. I am aware that it's an oxymoron to do the sugary vanilla syrup in a coke zero, but as we age, we can't hit some things head on like we used to. The only complaint I have is the lack of big fluffy cakes and sumptuous pies. But I guess that is ok, because I never have room for dessert. If I ever had room, their awesome shakes and sundaes would do the trick. We will keep coming to the Moonlite Diner until we are old and grey and everyone there knows our name. And we hope time doesn't change a thing!

Usually we love this place, but the Yelp deal is not available as advertised. Only one $3 milkshake per table, despite spending $40+ on food. Don't bring in people with a coupon if you're not going to honor it, especially from a social review site- because this is what you get!

    (1)
  • Harvey D.

The food was good but not great. I ordered the pecan pancakes and a side of home fries. The pancakes were a decent size and they did have a lot of pecans in them. The home fries were ok. The service was excellent and the waitress was really nice and attentive. I sat outside and I think that made the experience a lot more enjoyable b/c there was only a couple of other people out there so it was pretty quiet. I had a coupon which helped with the price of the food although the prices seem to be fair for diner food in this area. There are so many diners in South Broward and this one is pretty similar to the rest of them. It's worth a try if you feel like eating diner food.

  • Laurie D.

Very disappointed. The food was edible, but that's all it was. I ordered a skillet dish that came with scrambled eggs, ham, onions, peppers and home potatoes. The eggs were over cooked, the potatoes had no flavor and the food came to the table cold. I look forward to going to diners but this is a definite miss for me. My fiance got the texas burger, and it was gross. Everything tasted reheated. The burger was over cooked and the bun was soggy. On the bright side, the decor was cute.

This diner is a a true find. Reminds me of a small version of Ed Debevic's in Chicago. They have a variety of classic, delicious menu items. My favorites were the baked french onion soup and the Disco fries. They also have a lot of ice cream choices. Great for a quick lunch or a filling dinner. Try it out and you will come back.

My fiancé and I were looking for food near 95 on our way north from the airport and used yelp to find this diner. We were seated immediately and Sandra (our waitress) promptly came to take our order. Fiancée's burger was great. BLT couldhave used more bacon but was pretty good. Fantastic and friendly service. Would recommend.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I ate there all the time while I lived in Hollywood. Now that I'm in Boston, I always stop in for a bite when I'm visiting friends in South Florida. The menu is huge. The shakes are all incredible. Worth $5 *wink* I love the fun signs and things on the walls. I always spot something I didn't notice before. The chicken panini pizza is my favorite. It's a sandwich. Yum. Seems to have a high turnover rate for some servers and others have been there as long as I've been going. Typical for a diner, I guess. Only ever had a bad server and she was gone by the next time we went.

We were staying at the nearby Comfort Inn, no vehicle, this was a nice walk. The joint was clean, service was good, food was excellent (for diner fare) and we enjoyed our experience there. The manager stopped by to inquire about our meal and that was a nice thing to do. If I'm ever stuck in that crappy hotel again, I'll be sure to stop by for a meal.

Looking forward to a hearty and delicious late breakfast/lunch yesterday, hubby decided he wanted to go to Moonlite, since he just looooooves diner food. Moonlite is really cute and it looks like it came straight from the 60's or 70's, whenever the time is. Brittany was our waitress and she was very nice and polite. She gladly took our order and it got to our table just a few minutes later, eventhough they were pretty busy. Food came out and it was quite disappointing. bacon and cheese omelette was loaded with cheddar cheese eventhough, hubby said go light with the cheese. My turkey club melt was tasty but extremely greasy and the mashed potatoes were cold. I gave it 3 stars cause hubby said to, the place it cute and clean, Brittany was excellent and we know the food can be better. Hopefully, next time, will be.

I walked away very satisfied with the french dip I ordered from Moonlite. The au jus appeared watered down when it arrived in front of me, but alas it was full of the flavor I was craving. The french fries are standard fare, nothing to rave about. I arrived in a party of 3 at 11:39pm on a Wednesday night. When an establishment is within 10 minutes of closing, I could understand turning someone down, but at 20+ minutes, I don't see why an establishment wouldn't accept a customer. Luckily for myself they did agree to seat us, of course after looking at the clock and making one of those "[sigh] ok, you'll be the last table of the night" gestures. The outside looks like a classic diner. I would expect it to be open later but due to it's location 12 is even a stretch.

Moonlite Diner is cute and kitschy; set in a faux 1950s train car diner setting. Good burgers and fries (with a sweet potato fry option that is just as delicious) . Nice fresh salads and a great breakfast selection. Hubby recommends the skirt steak. It was a generous portion and cooked to perfection. The outdoor seating offers an opportunity to escape the somewhat cramped "rail car" environment indoors but don't expect a gorgeous view. A bit pricey for a family on a budget but kids under 8 eat free on Saturdays and Sundays with paying adults (purchase of $8.99 minimum required). All in all though, a nice place for all of your cravings.

Have eaten here about 3 times. Each time we received fast, friendly service and were treated well. Last night I had the turkey club melt on toasted, buttered wheat bread with lettuce, tomato and melted cheese. The sandwich was huge and came with fries. You get really big portions here...I could only eat half of it. Prices are not bad. It isn't the best diner I've been to in south FL but I can't find anything negative to say about it, so in my opinion it's a decent place to stop in for some grub. It's also cool that the building is shiny silver and shaped like a train boxcar.

After picking up our favor boxes from Michael's, we were getting hungry. I asked Ralph about this place. He said, ehh it wasn't that good really and I asked when he ate there. He then said that it was about 10 years ago. I was like, oh that was a long time ago.. let's go try anyways. It was a classic environment with stools and booth and cool pictures on the walls. Totally 50's look. The waiters were all wearing the shirt with the writing at back "got milkshakes?" with blue jeans and small aprons. The only reason it's not a one star is because I liked the Banana Split milkshake. Sure, it was a fast service but it ends there... * * * * ::dead silence:: Yes, you read this right. It ends RIGHT THERE. Other than that, we had to order two drinks to get the 2nd entree for half price. It didn't make a difference. In fact it was a waste of 3 freaking dollars for a SYRUPY diet coke (hmm, syrup and diet definitely don't make sense to be together in the same glass) that my diabetic fiance couldn't drink! The waitress could have been nice enough to take it off the order, but no, she ignored us after that whole "Sorry, yeah, I don't know why it tastes like that.. *giggle and bambi face look* can I give you something else?" What were we going to say.. " give us water and charge us the same price as the soda"? There was nothing else diet or even Coke Zero. Come on. We just said okay.. and then didn't say anything to her about it. My burger which had guacamole and red onions, didn't really taste like a Santa Fe Burger. It tasted like it was a plain burger with no flavor. I'm not saying it should be greasy, but what good is it if there is no real taste? I think Ralph's order came out wrong, too. His chicken panini pizza was supposed to come in with mozzarella cheese and some marinara sauce with it. I can see why he was disappointed, because it wasn't mozzarella cheese and it certainly didn't have the same sauce. Instead, it had american and swiss cheese (he doesn't like the taste of swiss cheese.) We didn't even bother to get our change back and just left the money with the receipt and got the hell out of here without the waitress even coming back to the table. We were not going to wait for her.

A great diner atmosphere with a diverse selection of foods and friendly staff. I love that they have some healthy options for breakfast that you can't find in a lot of places. My only wish is that they had the shoestring hash browns so my partner would have breakfast there more often.

Moonlite is the classic 50's diner, complete with a slightly manufactured throwback decor, but the food is served up fast, reasonably tasty, and lots of it. I got their specials of the day, which was the braised beef short ribs with sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes ($10.99). It was pretty awesome, the meat was so tender and full of flavor. The kid's meals were also a great deal - $3.99 for a hot dog, fries, soda/milk and an adult sized scoop of ice cream. Bottom Line: Surprisingly good tasting food served up in a fun atmosphere - glad we came here.

i have read the mixed reviews before i went there, i gave it a chance with my mom, went at 5pm, was one of only 3 tables in whole place, about 5 staff including the manager walked by our table for 5 minutes before we got menus, they were all very polite, but seriously, i could see the menus less than a foot from us.... service once Matthew took our order was slower than expected for no one in the place, 15 minutes for a Philly and sweet potato fries, they showed up extra crispy and dark, the fries had that left in too long, combined with the time to change the fryer grease look, and my Philly meat was dried out and crunchy, Mathew was nice and my drink was always full, manager came by our table and started to speak and before i could speak to him, his cell phone rang and poof he was gone and didn't see him until we were leaving, as we headed for door, he said come again and stood there and didn't move to open the door for my mom, who is on a walker, i can see if he was busy and not getting the door, but he stood there staring at her the whole time. maybe they were having a bad day being so busy. Mens room was very dark and needs a good scrubbing.

I like this diner. The food is not as greasy as you might expect. Yes it's shaped like a box car and the interior is super cheesy with pictures of favorite customers on the wall and vinyl booths. Like most diners they have a huge menu and serve breakfast all day. They have great appetizers. They're wings are yummy. I usually like to order their English Muffin Burger. It's a hamburger served on a huge english muffin. The burgers are cooked to order an they are juicy and delicious. I've tried a lot of things on the menu and I've liked almost everything I've had. My bf loves the nachos. They are piled high and they are melty and gooey. Also I love their ice. I know that sounds weird but I love when places put that really small slushee ice in your drinks. Overall, this diner is better than most.

I have yet to find a really good diner - like the ones you used to find in New Jersey (Oh, how I miss the L&M Diner on Asbury Park Circle). But, as diners go, this place is decent. The food is not bad. The service - well, it depends on the day and who your server is. I do like the burgers and the BLT. The shakes are good too.

A 50s diner comes to Florida, does it right, gets it and got it. This place just makes me happy when I am there. The food is right, the ambiance is right, the staff is friendly. Their shakes have me shaking. Their burgers have me dancing a Jig, I feel like Im back in the 50s. They do simple American food the good old fashioned American way. Every meal is great and they are always open. They have a sister diner in Ft Lauderdale. When is the third and forth. Even Denny's has changed their theme to " Americas's DIner". There is nothing more American than an aluminum sided make in America 50s style diner. Give yourself a good dose of patriotism and have a meal at Moonite Diners

This 24 hour-50's-like diner in Hollywood was truly a hoot, despite it's "suburban mega-shopping center from Hell" locale. The salad was iceburgy, but great for $2 extra. The salmon sandwich had quite the hunk of salmon - which was tasty - if not a tad undercooked (but a value at $8.50). The baked beans were good, but not stellar. Service was nice. The diet coke was big. Overall, we liked!

We were staying at a local hotel and were looking for somewhere to eat for dinner after a long flight. We decided to stop at Moonlite Diner because it looked inviting. When walking into the restaurant we were immediately smelled something horrid as if the sewer outside was backing up into the restaurant. We asked the hostess if the restaurant was having plumbing problems and she insisted that it was the outside sprinklers that smelled. She went on to say that the sprinklers utilize water from a nearby pond. I wanted to eat elsewhere, however, the person I was with was too tire to go elsewhere. The menu prices were average and the restaurant offered a large selection of entrees consisting of breakfast, burgers, pasta, salads, ice cream, etc. After ordering I made my way to the men's room to wash my hands. There was no soap in the dispenser and the floor was very slippery. The restroom didn't look as if it had been cleaned all day. I made my way back to the table and couldn't help but notice how dirty the floor was. When the food came, we had to ask the waitress for condiments which would normally be on the table. I ordered the veggie burger with french fries. They aren't very generous with the fries and I've certainly have had better veggie burgers elsewhere. While eating there was another customer who walked by our table who almost fell and hit his head on the edge of our table because the floor was so slippery. It was scary! I definitely won't be returning to this diner if I stay in the area agai
