The view of the beach was fine, but I had a terrible waitress. She seemed to forget that my date and I were at the restaurant and one of the other waitresses seemed to pic up a her slack. If it weren't for this other waitress, my date and I could have literally walked off without paying. Our original waitress was on her phone and not serving any other tables. We couldn't even get her attention to fill up our water glasses. The food was mediocre at best. I had the Italian sub and the best part about it was the bread. The side salad given with the meal was also a bit on the small side.

Nice place to go have breakfast while looking at the ocean and they people walking by. Also, their pizza is really good.

We walked over from the beach at night to order a pizza to go. We ordered a large half cheese / half pepperoni pizza. It was very good. The garlic rolls were also very good. They only had small cups for drinks but they were kind enough to fill them up continuously to make up for the size. Staff was friendly. I will stop by again next time I'm in the Boardwalk.

Went for dinner, ordered a steak and cheese sub and a calzone. Steak and cheese sub came, we finished eating it before the calzone arrived, which would have been fine except for the fact that the calzone was still cold. The waitress Sue, was so busy talking to friends and the people in the kitchen, that another waitress had to pick up the slack. Waited at least 10 minutes for my change after paying, she shorted me $10.48, when I went back up she gave me the $10 and told me since it was over 50 cents she rounded up to the nearest dollar? What? So she got an extra $0.48 tip wonder how many others she does this to? Sorry, will not be back.

We came in a little past 2:30, so their lunch rush was over. We seated ourselves and then proceeded to remain seated for 10 minutes without even as much as an acknowledgement. Waitresses passed by us left and right, and nothing. Needless to say we got up and left. With all of the competition on the boardwalk there is absolutely no excuse for poor customer service. Never again!

Excellent food preparation and presentation. Courteous staff (although they can definitely use more)

Your average thin crust pizza joint. It's NY style and brick over style. The view was nice cause it's on the boardwalk. The waitress was quick to take my order. I only did takeout so I can't vouch for dine in service. I had a slice of pepperoni and I thought it was delicious. Crust was nicely toasted and crisp. Pepperoni wasn't burnt, just right. Cheesy and saucy. They had other Italian dishes like ravioli and calzones. I'd go back and try more. The environment was open and diner-like.

I must say, best pizza on the boardwalk. I have been coming here since I was a kid. Food is fresh and the service is pretty good. I knocked off one star because of the wait time for the food during a rush. You can't beat $15 for a large pie and a pitcher of beer (or soda).

Best breakfast on the beach. They actually know how to make poached eggs. Clean bathrooms great wait staff Awesome views. Ask for Bonnie.

  • Michelle R.

Pizza with a view! Friendly staff; I sat down at a prime table in the front and enjoyed a slice of pizza with garlic rolls. Pizza was good and loved they serve it by the slice. Garlic rolls could have been softer but had lots of garlic and butter. Not bad at all...

  • Manuel E.

Went tofay for the first time and my kids lived the pizza. Waiters do need to be on point on customers waiting in offering more services and drinks but over all pizza was good.

Went here with a friend to grab breakfast in the morning. Didn't know what to expect from the Hollywood Broadwalk but this place was decently packed for breakfast. I kept it pretty simple and ordered an orange juice with an omelet and side of fruit. The juice was fresh squeezed and was a good start to the morning. The omelet was flavorful and well cooked and the fruit had a good selection. The service was very dinerish, as was the ambiance, but that worked for me on this weekday morning. The restaurant is right on the water so there is a decent view out the front and they keep the place cool enough so you aren't sweltering in the Florida heat. Overall, this place was quick, pretty cheap and has decent food. Worth checking out if you need hot breakfast around the area.

5 stars for such a great deal on the Broadwalk! We did the large cheese pizza and pitcher of soda combo for $15.95, added wings for $5 and garlic rolls for a few bucks and fed our family of 5 for under $25 (before tax and tip). Love it!!!

This place was not our first choice for dinner on the boardwalk, but their offer of air-conditioned seating drew us in. Sue, our waitress, was very busy but still treated us well and made us feel valued patrons. They made my son a virgin strawberry daiquiri which he enjoyed. He had a plain slice of pizza which was quite large. He ate all but the crust, declaring himself full. I had a small salad with the house-made vinaigrette dressing that was tasty. I also ordered the lasagna on Sue's recommendation and it was very good. The sauce was perhaps a bit sweeter than I prefer, but overall a solid dish. My husband ordered the fisherman's platter. They were out of calamari so he got them to substitute fried clams. He ate all the clams (declaring them just ok), the fried shrimp, and about half of the fried fish. He didn't eat many of the French fries which means the probably weren't very good because he LOVES fries. We also had a half-dozen garlic rolls which were good - not Mario the Baker good (where we had tried to go in NMB just to find closed) but pretty good. All in all a nice experience on the boardwalk.

Ate here a few times on vacation on Hollywood Beach! I would highly recommend the egg plant parmigiana it comes with a huge portion of spaghetti and starts off with a house salad I had caesar it was great Also tried Suz's Favorite wasn't a winner for me Okay prices liked the huge portion it was enough to take home and have a meal later Would definitely come back here!

Yelp actually led us to the restaurant next store stating it was Greek but it's actually Russian. I'm not too keen on Russian food so we moved over to Little Venice. The pizza is super cheap. I think it was just a couple dollars per slice and the slices are huge! They are true Venice style in that they are large flat pieces and the veggies on mine were actually raw. The pizza was pretty good. My husband ordered the steak wrap and I thought that was really good! I would recommend the steak wrap for sure. Nice safe bet on the broadwalk.

Wait staff acknowledged us, but we have now been sitting here for almost 20mins with no wine. All we want is a couple glasses of wine each. Waitress kept complaining about how busy they were and we came at the worst time.

  • Barry V.

I was a little hesitant trying a new place along the beach as so many of the restaurants here excel at mediocrity and inconsistency. I am glad that I decided to give Little Venice a try. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating even though we were getting our food to go to take back to the beach. The jumbo pizzas are huge at 19 inches. All of the toppings were fresh and flavorful, especially the sausage and the tomato and basil. The pizza is New York thin although I like mine a little crispier. If you order the wings, ask them to toss them in the sauce rather than sauce on the side. They would be better this way. Make a note that the on line menu is not complete so if you are calling an order in, ask if you want something you don't see. Also, in spite of the hours listed on Yelp, the are open on Sunday.

  • Eric B.

The pizza here was decent, but the service was atrocious. We arrived with a band of hungry kids. The waitress took forever to take our order, and then we had to repeat it twice more because she couldn't really keep track of our topping requests. The adults' pizzas then arrived and the kids had to wait an additional 10 minutes! Really bad form... Well the pizza was tasty, it wasn't worth the hassle...

We had a great lunch here! Calzones? Check. Pizza? Check. Chicken Parm sub? Double-check. Friendly staff and a great view, too.

Hours posted on yelp said open until 11:00. Walked 10 minutes. Got there at 9:00. Was informed by a lady that they were closed because it was " windy". When asked why their hours show open to 11:00. She said we don't have set hours, it's dependent on traffic. If that's the business model, just put we close whenever the hell we want. Just sounded like an excuse to go home early to me.

WARNING!!! I went here with my girlfriend today for pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom and two waters with lemon. When the waters arrived we each went to take a drink and discovered there was bleach in our glasses. Lots of bleach. We ran to the bathroom. I threw up immediately. The waitress came over and began apologizing. The owner then came and said it was not bleach and it was just the lemon. Can you believe that? Unreal. We sat back down to see our pizza was there, no mushrooms. Needless to say we stood up and left. With all the similar food options available on the boardwalk I highly recommend you steer clear of this place.

  • Teresa K.

Wasn't impressed with the pizza. It could be the style but the flavor wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Could make better pizza at home.

  • Big Daddy V.

We sat down at 5:15pm and ended up leaving at 5:45 because not one single wait person even acknowledged our presence. Meanwhile 5 minutes before we left we witnessed another couple come in, sit down and be greeted by a waitress and handed menus. We did get to see a couple plates brought out to other tables. The calamari was sparse and served on a single piece of lettuce. The cheese sticks looked like they were over cooked and hardly the amount an appetizer should be. The pizza looked decent but I can't imagine the wait to get one. We were very frustrated and not likely to try again.

After hanging out on the beach for awhile, we were hangry so we went strolling up the boardwalk looking for a slice. I kept pulling out my phone and pulling up Yelp, and this place was the first with decent reviews. We wanted a slice( 1.89), but the server said it wasnt NY pizza so we shared a calzone. It was good, the sausage was sliced rather than bulk and I liked that. Not greasy at all. The filling could have been a tad hotter, but the crust was good and the sauce was good too. Aside from a small snafu( the diet coke was hooked up to the coke, not good for a diabetic), everything was fine. Now I want to try a slice, they looked good and Yes, they are NY style.

A great vacation find. Food was very good, service great and view beautiful. We didn't have any drinks, but enjoyed the calzone and Greek salad.

Service was good and fast. The food was really good, and the prices are great. Would highly recommend. They have some nice specials for large groups.

My favorite place on the beach. I have been here a lot for breakfast but wanted to wait until I had lunch too before I wrote a review. The lunch was just as good, I had a chicken parm sub that was really good, and the rest of my party loved their food as well. This place has great pricing, and amazing views of the beach. Service can be a bit slow, but the servers are always Very friendly, but its the beach, dont be in such a rush. Overall highly recommended.

Great $4.95 Breakfast that comes with 2 EGGS any style 2,pancakes meat and homefries. Plus only a $1.89 for a slice of cheese pizza and $14.95 for a large cheese pizza and pitcher of beer or soda. this place rocks of your on a budget.

    (3)
  • Joe K.

The typical 14.95 for a large cheese and pitcher of beer was only 11.95 today. We added fresh garlic and pineapples and still only paid 15 something. It was not the best pizza but pretty good being on the bready side and less on the cheese. The server, owner perhaps, was exceptionally nice to us. You can't beat the scenery.

This is my favorite pizza place, as well as my fiance's favorite. It is the only place that we have ever been to on several occasions in a short span of time. The view is incredible - the beach is yards away. Depending on which day and at what time you go, you may be able to catch a glimpse of a cruise ship(s) as it sails from Port Everglades. We always order the pizza special - $12.95 for a large pizza and a pitcher of beer or soda. We go for the beer. I forget how much additional toppings cost. The price is reasonable, though. We order the pizza without cheese and add a couple of toppings. Delicious! The slices are cut big and are nice and thin. The crust is excellent. Go to Little Venice with a relaxed attitude - everything is made fresh to order, meaning that you'll be waiting a bit. We love it. With cold beer, even better company, and a beautiful view, what's a few more minutes? The garlic rolls are garlicky and doughy - just the way I like them. My recommendation is if you order them, make sure that you're really hungry. The rolls are quite filling. Service is casual, friendly, and efficient.

first time for me was last week. amazing new york style pizza and chicken ceasar salad made to order and the most delectable garlic rolls I ever had!!!!! Our waitress (sue) is the best ever, you think she owned the place! beatiful view of ocean, wonderful food! Heading back there tomorrow!!

Pizza is watery. The cheese on the table in the little jar is hard and crusty. Service is awful

Lovely place at the boardwalk, very friendly service, great prices and the pizza was delicious - what else can you want?

  • Gina H.

Still a fan. Went for family breakfast this morning and for $1.95 for two eggs, with toast and hash browns that deal really can't be beaten. The coffee is not the best really but they bring you a carafe so there's no shortage of it ($1.95 for the coffee). This time I didn't order breakfast as I had eaten when I woke up but three coffees, one OJ, 2 of their $2.95 breakfasts (which incude a meat and pancakes) and one toasted bagel set us back $15.91. Breakfast on the beach is priceless.

We always go to Little Venice for the pizza and beer special The salads and garlic rolls are great

Really yummy! The waitress Sue was absolutely sublime and her dish which was on the menu was equally DELISH. I was a little disappointed at the lobster ravioli as it was very expensive and not very filling, infact it was very small and clichè "classy food". They have pitchers of soda which I found very enticing. Over all great staff and a great restaurant.

    (4)
  • Dean L.

Good lunch, very accommodating, "Sue" was great.....wife had an issue that was resolved quickly , steak and cheese wrap was awesome ...... Slow bringing the check.....is this a Hollywood thing??

    (4)
  • Katie W.

Cute little place right on the beach. Great pizza and great prices! We got a pizza and a pitcher of beer for $15.95 and you can add on a order of wings for $5! You can't beat dinner on the beach for around $20. Go... You won't be disappointed!

  • JJ C.

Excellent experience in this wonderful smoke-free little restaurant. Order the Angus burger my wife ordered Parmesan eggplant sub. Service was great every condiment I wanted was brought to me in a little container. Highly recommend especially since they care about the environment and do not allow smoking that's a plus for me.

    (5)
  • Cristina G.

The bacon, fries and pancakes were good. They could not get the eggs the way I like them both times I ordered them. My husband liked the eggs because he doesn't mind them being runny. I like them really well done. The cappuccino was gross. I would not recommend it. The service was ok. She was so busy that she would not listen to what I asked for and she didn't bring the cappuccino until after I got my meal.

We were staying at the Westin and needed a break from the high priced food and came to the boardwalk. It was great. I had a create your own personal pizza with chicken and broccoli. Great!

    (4)
  • Megan S.

Mehhh.. I had the healthy wrap here, and it was really dry. I didn't enjoy it at all. :3 My friend also complained about her bolognese being really dry --- she ended up asking for extra sauce and being charged. Not the hottest spot for entrees.. the pizzas looked good when I saw them, though. Guess you should order pizza at a pizza place ;P

    (2)
  • Michael M.

Not many places you can eat for two people and it cost only 8 dollars. Not to mention the server is from the same area as me so thats always a great common point, not to mention the pizza and coffee and hot chocolate were pretty good.

  • Stuart G.

passing by late at least for Hollywood beach. I heard good things thought I would see If I could get a slice would have ordered a pie if I had too. Waitress said no more regular pizza but I could get an Individual 10" if I wanted one. I found it a little puzzling that they could make one and not the other; at least till the pie came! It kind of reminded me of bad frozen pizza from the 50's. obviously frozen dough and the cheese and sauce did not help either! Was starving so I finished it. I would have been much better eating the cardboard pizza at Tony's down the beach near Hallandale!

  • H L.

Nice simple authentic American breakfast @ for less than $6 per person for a grand slam with coffee, OJ, 2 eggs, 2 meats, 2 pancakes, home fries is a great value for the view directly on the broadwalk with no street, no car in between you, the beach & the Ocean!

  • Benjamin F.

Since 2008, Little Venice has consistently been my go-to Hollywood Beach spot. I love the new pizza recipe, and the staff at Little Venice is as friendly as it gets. Great food and affordable domestic drafts in the bar makes for a perfect ocean-view dining experience. Highly recommend for both locals and tourists looking for beach-side eats!

Sorry- but was not impressed. If you want to sacrifice cost (it is cheap) for quality than this is the place for you. The pizza at Costo is much better.

Went here and never went back.... I stopped in here a few years ago to have breakfast. I ordered two eggs, bacon, whole wheat toast with hash browns for about $5. They brought me my coffee first .Which I do enjoy to have while waiting for my meal to be prepared. After about a 20 minute wait, the waitress came out to tell me that they had ran out of hash browns, and they were going to substitute it with french fries. I was very upset, since I was craving for the hash browns. I do not want French Fries for breakfast !! I was also upset that it took them 20 mintutes, to let me know about the situation. I also do not like the fact that they are going to tell me what they are going to give me as an alternative. As the customer I should have the choice. I am paying for the meal... I asked for the check. Payed for the coffee and never went back.

The breakfast is a little more expensive than the two neighboring places, but the breakfast is the best on the beach. I've tried most of the other places. The only problem is when someone throws something to the seagulls. Before you know it, there are a few dozen hovering for a chip.

    (4)
  • Valentina P.

this place is super busy, but also super friendly. the bf & i ordered french fries for appetizers and a jumbo pizza. the pizza was super duper tasty. the brick-oven pizza was the best i have ever tasted in my adult life! (this is saying a lot since i am not the biggest pizza aficionado!) the crust was cooked right and the cheese oozed out of the bread's pore. service was outstanding ... although i just realized we never got our french fries. but i suppose the pizza's awesomeness compensated for the thought of french fries.

  • Kathleen P.

I found myself surrounded by friends, sitting on the beach, sipping a cold beer and eating a slice of delectable New York style pizza. It was like a dream. In fact when I realized the large pizza with a pitcher of beer was only $14.99- I thought for sure I was dreaming. I ran into the cool ocean waves to try to snap out of it. No- I wasn't dreaming. It's true, and along with great food and drinks, the service is impeccable. The staff is friendly and funny and very accommodating. I'll go back. Again and again.

My husband and I went for dinner and started with drinks. The piña colada and mojito were extremely disappointing. The mojito especially should not have been on the menu at all. They use mojito margarita mix and serve it as a slushy in a margarita glass with no mint. I thought the waitress brought me the wrong thing . Our food did not come out together and looking around, other tables were not getting their meals together either. I waited for at least five minutes after my husbands dish came out to recieve mine. The grilled mahi mahi sandwich was soooooooo incredibly dry and the bun it came on was nearly stale. My husbands stromboli was the only thing that didn't kill the experience. on a positive note..the owner took our drinks off of the bill without us asking them to do so.

Decent breakfast. waffle was crisp and buttery. Scrambled eggs and bacon were pretty good. My son ate almost all of his pancakes (very rarely happens). Good service. Awesome beachside ambiance. Nice place to stop along the boardwalk for breakfast.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
