Good fresh food from the appetizers (Carpaccio w/Arugula and Capresi mozzarella) to mains (Salmon Ravioli and Veal in a mushroom sauce). Great atmosphere with live music from a good singer. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK

Where to start? How about with the tacky stickers that adorn their front door. "Rated highest on yelp" and "Tripadvisoor". If you have a restaurant worth going to, your front door isn't covered in signs and stickers telling us how good your food is. The actual restaurant looks nice, leather booths and leather seats that are very soft and comfy although a bit bouncy. Now the service.......OH WAIT THERE WAS NONE. No hostess to greet us, just a clueless waiter who was juggling plates just to open the door for us because all the other waiters were too "busy" helping the other 5 WHOLE CUSTOMERS. We finally get seated and we are handed a tiny menu. What happened to the large menu that was displayed right outside your restaurant? Oh this is the Romanian food menu? La Vendetta is half Romanian? And then instead of giving us both menus(which a restaurant should only have one to start) he hands one and asks if we want the other. We say yes please, and he leaves and comes back with one Italian menu for the 3 of us. I guess it then dawns on him there is 3 of us? When he started to take our order, another group of people came so he stopped to open the door for them which was fine. What wasn't fine was when he left to go seat them and take care of them while leaving us for 5 minutes. I ordered prosciutto and melon, one slice of honey dew and one slice of cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto. The slices were huge but it otherwise tasted fine. However when I finished all the pieces, they left the rinds on the plate, so when I finished the food i had 2 huge rinds left. Wasn't quite sure what I was suppose to do with them, take them home??? Never put anything inedible on the plate especially if it doesn't even give to the aesthetics of the plate. For some bizzare reason when the waiter took all 3 of our plates away, he took my knife and fork off my plate and put it on the table. He then took everyone elses fork and knife away with the dirty dishes. He brought one set of a fork and knife and then proceeded to take the second set from a nearby table. Was it to hard for him to bring 2 sets of clean utensils? And please remind me why he put mine on the table rather than taking them with him and providing me with a clean set? My second course was a simple spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was extremely watery and flavorless. Absolutely no seasoning given to the pasta water or the pasta sauce. The pasta itself was cooked well. The meatball, or should i say meat mousse, was awful. Not only was the texture of the meat mousse like that of a sponge, it tasted like what I can only imagine the bottom of a shoe tastes like. I sliced the meat mousse in half and it looked like someone mixed all the ingredients into a blender and pureed until a smooth glue like substance. Overall between the terrible waiter and jail like food, I am astonished this establishment is still open.

Walking on Downtown Hollywood looking for a place to eat decided on Italian after consulting first with Yelp and reading the positive reviews. At La Vendetta our experienced was inviting and enjoyable. The Vendetta Chopped Salad was good and the Ravioli Al Salmone was delicious. For dessert, I ordered the Nutella filled Crepes, they were OK. I like them warm, but they were room temperature. The Lasagna is also good! The Flan was not that good. The staff is nice and helpful. The owner of the building were La Vendetta is located is very friendly. He is also the owner of the custom made car called La Vendetta.

My boyfriend and I passed by this place many times and came by a Groupon for it so that was an incentive to try it. The Groupon was for $58 for dinner for 2 which included 1 appetizer under $12.95, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine which was perfect for a nice rainy weeknight. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and we told him we had a Groupon that we purchased to try to place out. He went to a table next to us and spoke to the gentlemen seated there and came back asking if we had made a reservation. We said no. 1st of all he should have known if we had made a reservation, 2nd it was a weeknight, there was 2 other families there and us, why would he even ask us? I felt like my patronage was completely unwanted there and it was a bad start. Then the food came out. The warm delicious bread served with a side of seasoned olive oil, 2 gigantic glasses of Chardonnay, blackened shrimp on a bed of greens, Beef tenderloins in a mushroom, dijon sauce and a skirt steak that was so buttery, so tender and cooked to perfection that it melt in your mouth. The food - FANTASTIC The waiter - Very friendly and atttentive The ambiance - Wonderful, Family friendly or great for a date The Owner/Manager - Unwelcoming Maybe the Groupon was a put off and I get it. I think most people get them as a reasonable way to try something different out. Once they've tried it out and thought the service or food was great then they'll come back for more. But because the Owner/Manager made me feel unwelcomed at the start of my meal makes me not want to go back. So buy your Groupons, screw the manager and hug the cook! The food will not disappoint!

Went with friends. They got Hungarian food I went for Italian. Had the linguine with mushrooms. Food looked nice and was presentable but I wasn't impressed with the taste. The whole hungarian & italian mixed together concept made me skeptical as well but I'm always up for giving a place a chance. Restaurant is pretty. Service was mediocre. Food eh, pass.

I received slow and substandard services because I used a Groupon. I'm very disappointed with their food, which was not impressive at all; and their service that sucked!

An awesome experience! Both Italian and Romanian food (two menus). I enjoyed very authentic Romanian food (polenta - "mamaliga" appetizer and for main course a smoked pork leg and sauerkraut) - the taste was just right (I was raised in Romania) and the portions were huge (at a very good price)! My wife tried the goulash and a meatball soup (ciorba de perisoare) which were both great. The waiter was very attentive and friendly and the food was prepared quickly. There's live music! Also the waiters all wear Fedoras :) Their bar is fully stocked and they have a lot of wines too. We enjoyed a large dessert (ordered one dessert but more than enough to share) called papanasi. Definitely will come back! We're from Boston but picked this place especially while traveling to Florida as I've been looking for authentic Romanian food for a while

Have you ever wondered what a dining experience would be like in Europe and have never been? Come here! You'll definitely get that experience. This is a hidden gem, it is an undercover Romanian restaurant. To us Americans, it just seems like a mediocre Italian restaurant, because that's what it's advertised as. But it's actually owned by a Romanian and most of the people that come and hang out here are Romanians. I was lucky enough to have an awesome Romanian friend to give me an inside scoop! We were having our girls' day and I wanted to try something Romanian because I never had it before. So I let her take the reigns on what to order and put my trust in her hands. We started off with this dish of assorted appetizers that are popular in Romania. There was egglant spread, fish roe spread, red onions, salami, Romanian feta type cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. These are all eaten with bread. All were very tasty and interesting to try. The fish roe spread was salty, so it definitely needed to be eaten with bread, the red onions complimented that spread very well. As for the entree, she ordered for us the Romanian sausage, which is a mix of beef and lamb to be eaten with mustard. And it came with a side of polenta and sour cream on top. All very interesting combinations I've never had and were tasty to eat. According to my friend, the sausage was good, but the polenta and sour cream could've been better. Since this is my first time eating it, I don't have anything to compare it to, so I trust her judgement. She wants me to come back again because there's so many dishes I still need to try, so I'll definitely be coming back. As with any European dining experience, it was a long meal and the service was mediocre. It takes forever to get the check and to get back the card to sign. If you've ever been to Europe, you know this is typical. Don't come here expecting great service, Europeans are definitely not known for that.

Great Romanian food! I tried the "porc la gratar" with a great Romanian wine Budureasca Pinot Noir, my waiter recomended! Truly five stars food and service!

Came here for lunch last week with my mother for the first time! This place is high end, with great prices. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant. Staff was very welcoming and seated us right away. We shared the eggplant parmigiana and the house pesto. Both were delicious, just the right amount of ingredients.. just perfect! Overall I think this place has great prices, staff, and unique food. I'm definetly going to try the Hungarian goulash next time I stop by!

The contemporary decor and furnishings are appropriate for this semi-upscale restaurant. The red tablecloths with black napkins and silverware create a very elegant tablescape. Unfortunately, the taste and quality of the food did not match the flawless appearance. We were part of a very large birthday dinner party and most of us did not enjoy the food. The consensus was that the food is bland. I ordered snapper livornese which comes in a red sauce with capers and olives but I believe they gave me a different type of fish. It was very soft and mushy like swai. The lasagna only had one layer of cheese which was at the top. The servers were not efficient. I would not return to this restaurant nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I'm really impressed with La Vendetta. The seating atmosphere, particularly the set back open air porch area which offers a pleasant just off the sidewalk view, is perfect for people watching. The service is top notch professional food, is surprisingly superior for the price; a real bang for the buck. I had the Calamari Fritti, a Caesar salad and Scaloppini Piccatta while my guest had the chicken as in Pollo alla Milanese. The calamari came perfectly breaded and deliciously tender; some of the best ever along with a decent though somewhat overly mild sauce. The Caesar, which I ordered with anchovy, which anchovies they didn't scrimp on as they do in most restaurants, was large, double cheesed, both in a powdering along with at the table waiter grating. The cuts scaloppini along with the piccatta preparation was about as good as it comes. My guest was also delighted with a large portion of very tasty chicken in Milanese. La Vendetta is indeed one of the better restaurants to be found in Hollywood and at reasonable price too. I real pleasure; one I'm sure to come back to.

I went to Fort Lauderdale with TBW to visit some friends. You know I was busy drinking all day long. I napped, but when dinner rolled around I knew I would require something hearty to keep me going. You know, sop up all the booze. Our friends that live in the Hollywood area suggested Vendetta. Not because they had ever tried it, but because they had heard really good things. Yelp confirmed this. Off we went. We got there and the outdoor area was mostly full, a few empty tables, but inside was completely dead. I didn't take this as a very good sign and was a bit nervous, but also starving, so what the hell, right? We were seated with enormous menus and a pretty awful waiter. He didn't laugh at our jokes. Granted, they may or may not have been funny, but bro come onnnn. The customer is always right and all that...make us feel loved! He was really slow to bring the drinks. Bummer. When we ordered, I asked him if the Risotto Alla Vendetta was any good. He said "There is shrimp and rice with spinach". Okay, not really what I asked for but I realized I wasn't going to get a better answer out of him, and went ahead and ordered that. The food came quickly which was great, and the portions were HUGE. I'm known to finish everything on my plate and probably what's left on yours, but I couldn't finish my dinner. I ate about 3/4 of it and that was tough and slow going. So. Much. Food. Everyone felt similarly about their dishes too, and we are not "light" or even "smart" eaters. It was actually fairly tasty too. They didn't skimp on the shrimp helping - that's always refreshing! The arborio rice was pretty well cooked. Not anything amazing, but not bad either! I truly enjoyed my dish and would order it again. The biggest bummer was the service. Our waiter didn't come check on us at all before or after dropping off the entrees, so we only wound up with two rounds of drinks all night. We certainly would have ordered more if he had been more attentive, but waving your arms wildly every time you have to signal him isn't super cute. We also waited what felt like forever for bread and water. I hate having to ask for it! And the martinis were off the mark...with lots of pulp floating in them (from the olive juice I assume?) and the first one was too dirty and the second one was almost completely vodka....I just can't get on board with these. So...yeah. Vendetta did have good food, but poor service and a dead atmosphere. I'm a pain in the you-know-what but everyone in my party agreed on the food being worth another trek, but the lack of drinks and almost unfriendly waiter make it hard to rush back. I don't live in Hollywood, but if I did, I might give it another try...or grab dinner to go.

Really good customer service ! My waitress was awesome making sure we had everything we needed. The wine was great, the food was good, atmosphere was pleasant! They had a combination of international live music. We celebrated my grandmothers 80th birthday and they even provided us with a complimentary cake which was delicious ! I even had a bite of my toddlers pasta Alfredo from the kids menu and it was really good too ! Overall great experience. Very happy with my first time visit, must come back !

We went here today with kids, staff was very friendly, food was good and good portion size, however slow service, at the end our server never came back and we had to go and ask for check. The place is nice but too dark inside, dark colors.

Cute little restaurant that allows you to have an upscale dining experience that doesn't break the bank. I came during lunch and they offered the choice of inside or outside seating. We opted for inside, which was fairly empty since we were having a late lunch. Not a problem for me. We were started with some fresh bread and an olive oil dip with real olive chunks. That was a pleasant start to the meal. I ordered the linguine con el vongole (clam linguine) and my dad had the lasagna. The flavors in my dish were tasty, but not overpowering. The portion of clam meat was also generous. I didn't try my dad's lasagna, but he cleaned the plate so I'm guessing it was good. Service was attentive. I'm interested in their Romanian menu for the future. I'd recommend La vendetta for a lunch affair.

One needs to be non European to appreciate this horrible cooking. The food preparation and cheap ingredients used in this restaurant do not meet even one star. Romanian food can be top of the line if prepared correctly, this restaurants is a disgrace to Romanian cuisine. Horrible. even the drinks were blended with water. The positive recommendations must be submitted by friends of the "inner circle" , to say the least. Larry Bocovan

NY steak wasn't medium-rare but rather well done, instead of dark meat chicken we were offered black-peppered chicken breast. The tips are automatically included which is not quite fair in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner, may be just a drink.

Bread was good, service was terrible. I would understand if it was a busy night. Waitress would disappear, or forget about our table. The food it's self ( I ordered the chicken Marsala) was sub par at best. I came starving and left disappointed. Extremely bland, and our appetizer mozzarella Milanese ( breaded mozzarella triangles ), came out luke warm with soggy tomatoes. I honestly wish I was exaggerating because I came with high hopes after reading the reviews. Then to top it off it took 20 minutes for the check and when I received my change she didn't check the amount I has given her and and shorted me a 20 bucks (which the manager was nice enough to straighten out) then she proceeded to stomp away like a child. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is because the complimentary bread was a really good , which we had to ask for because she never bothered to bring It out. Overall a poor experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone that wants quality Italian. There's better options.

We stopped in here on a VERY rainy day and we were so happy with our choice! We had apps of eggplant parmigiana (as delicious if not better than we would make at home) and mozzarella milanese ((fabulous)!!! We would highly recommend and will be back... Hopefully on a sunny day!

I am so upset to have to write this review. I typically only write good reviews but this was just too upsetting. I have come to this restaurant two previous times and had great food and service! I'm not one to complain but my experience this time was horrendous to say the least! I ordered lobster fra Diablo which came out undercooked and had a weird chemical taste to it. After only having two bites I called the waitress over and showed her my meal and explained and apologized. She took away my meal and said that she'd show it to the manager and that he'd be right over. The Manager NEVER CAME TO OUR TABLE! She came back and told me that the manager said that since she placed the plate on our table already that I'd have to pay for the inedible meal. In what restaurant does that every happen? I told her that I wouldn't pay for a meal that could have poisoned me, which she responded to by rolling her eyes and telling me that she'd ask the manager. I felt horrible that they put me in that position, no restaurant should ever treat a client this way. The Manager came out walked past our table while glaring at us, turned around and went back in without talking to us. The server finally came out and wordlessly handed us our check. We saw that they did take the price of the meal off but this whole ordeal was uncalled for. I left this restaurant feeling horrible and like I was guilty of doing something wrong! I am sad to say that I will not return, but that is not something that I would ever risk experiencing again!

My girlfriend and I visited here last night. I have walked by this restaurant many times and was never curious enough to go in but last night there was absolutely no parking and they have valet and it was kinda last resort. So the catch is you can valet at $5 if you eat there, so we caved. The valet were very friendly and at tentative they even had the car waiting on the way out. The inside of the restaurant is nice maybe a bit to bright but nice and welcoming. My friend loved the fedora hats the servers wore along with the button long sleeved shirts and black pants. We found out it is Italian fare and Romanian fare as well. Will try that next time. On Friday and Saturdays there is live entertainment which was nice. Our server was friendly and attentive. The bread is thick hot and homemade with olive chunks in the oil. Pretty good! I ordered a mojitho and I have to say it is by far thee best I have ever had in all my years. Florentina made them. The ice was chipped/jagged and the mint was so fresh you could smell it. It was so smooth and ice cold. They are costly but worth every penny. ($11.95 per ) I ordered the tilapia francese with angel hair and my friend ordered arugula salad. Both meals were visually freshly made. The tilapia was a big size and had 3 shrimp on top accompanied with the angel hair and red beautiful tomatoes and sauce. Fresh pepper and Parmesan was added. This meal was big but it was so mouth watering excellent that you just couldn't stop eating it, it was that good. The salad was equally delicious. The music and environment was lovely. Great date night we both wished our husband were with us.:) at the end if the meal she ordered flan which is homemade as well. I have never been a fan of flan but this flan was so damn good it was devilish. It is pricy. My total bill including 2 mojithos plus tip was close to $40.00 dollars but the whole entire experience was worth every penny from the valet to desert. We complimented the owner and manager florentina and she gave us a lemon cello shot at the end. I will be back. So so good.

I'm very disappointed to write this. Me and my wife ordered some chicken..it was the most horrible undercooked chicken ever...I'm not a chef or anything, but how in the world do you undercook chicken.

Went here on Saturday night. Did not have any expectations but was not impressed. There were 5 of us, so we ordered a variety of entrees, none of which were memorable. The restaurant was very loud with live music. So loud that we could not hear the waiter and felt like we were yelling out our order. The valet was confusing but reasonable. Hollywood Boulevard is definitely a hopping place (not like I remembered from my childhood) and loaded with many restaurants. I am sure there are restaurants worth dining at. I would try on of them.

Horrible Food!! My kids didn't even like it. Bread was toasted but partially frozen on inside, fresh mozzarella was the cheapest tasting cheese I ever ate and it was hard. Chicken parm. was dry, hard, and didn't even have a good taste. They did not even drain kids spaghetti it was floating on water. Will never go back. I need to teach them how to really cook Italian food because that was not even near authentic. The best thing I had was my glass of water. Sorry I never right reviews but it was really bad maybe I'm spoiled by the fresh Italian food at home but a frozen pasta from publix probably would taste better.

Excellent food, wonderful waitstaff. I had the lasagna and it was amazing; second only to my own ;) Large portions and price is right for sure. We consulted Yelp before eating @ LaVendetta, like we always do when traveling on vacation, and we were not disappointed. Great location; fun location, and very attractive atmosphere for and outdoor dining. It's a Must Do when in Hollywood FL.

Food was pretty good overall. The calamari app was rubbery, but my snapper entree was excellent! I will go back for the snapper. My husband got mussels and chicken carbonara. He loved both. Overall, it was good, but a little overpriced. We will probably go back

I had a nice meal, but it wasn't spectacular authentic Italian food. I looked forward to my authentic Caesar salad with homemade dressing, replete with anchovies, but it came pretty standard with loads of parmesan and no anchovy paste in the dressing. I reminded the waiter about the anchovies, and he brought me a small ramekin of them later. The rigatoni bolognese was pretty good but oversalty and a little overcooked and soft. However, the unique and pleasant ending of this meal was the Romanian Papanasi dessert. To be fair, I don't know Romanian food the way I know Italian, so I have no basis for comparison. BUT, I really enjoyed the Papanasi! They're deep fried dumplings/fritters- in this case, we were served 2 just-fried doughnuts that were still warm and crisp at the bottom. Whether they made them fresh or re-fried the store bought ones, they were tasty! Then, they were covered in a creamy sweet ricotta cheese concoction, and drizzled with jam. Very rich, sweet, and original, and definitely unexpected. Note: it wasn't on the menu and the waiter didn't mention it when he listed the desserts, but there was a review on the board that described it. You might have to ask for it!

Visiting from Denver, so don't have any local point of reference. We sat outside on the porch. First turn off was the 5 people smoking at the sidewalk tables...oh well. Bread was good. Topping of olives and olive oil was unique. Since I'm not a fan of arugula, the house salad was not a favorite. But the bean soup my wife had was delicious and large enough for a meal...she wished she had known before ordering the talipia. The talipia and chicken piccata were good, but not great. All said it was not bad...but nothing to write home about either.

We had dinner with friends here last night...all I can say is, staff 5 stars, ambiance 5 stars, food 2 stars....my veal dish was.just ordinary ..and I guess I should have specified pasta as a side, mashed potatoes?? My wife had the same and she was meh about hers also...

Great food! Great atmosphere! We are so glad we stopped in to eat dinner. Fresh homemade bread, all our meals fresh homemade Italian cuisine. We eat a lot of Italian in NC and VA -- this quality can't be beat. Great friendly service, decent prices, large portion size, be ready to bring the extra home.

Went here with a group of seven people on Saturday night. The ambiance was great. Our server was very nice but she was extremely lax on coming back to check on our table. It was disappointing when she came over to tell us about the "specials" and casually mentioned that they ran out of several items on the menu. At seven pm on a Saturday, how can an Italian Restaurant be out of Minestrone Soup? The wait between our appetizers and main courses was almost thirty minutes. I have a feeling the kitchen had some problems that night. The food was adequate at best. I found the menu to be overpriced considering the quality of the food in addition to the extremely small portions. My nephew ordered the chicken Parmesan & he really enjoyed it. Two people at our table ordered the Lobster Fra Diablo and both found the lobster to be tough. There are just so many other Italian Restaurants in the area it would be silly to come back to La Vendetta and be disappointed again.

Returned to La Vendetta for appetizers and drinks. Again, the service was excellent. Our appetizers- the meatballs and the chicken bruschetta, were fine but not, like, wow- so scrumptious. I don't fault them, however, for not having really amazing food because my expectations are not that high for most places in the area. The seating, however, is especially comfortable on their front porch, and I like that. We were going to sit at the bar inside, but several big screen TV's were showing sports and we wanted something more intimate. The thing is about this place is that I ordered the Vandetta Cosmo, and it was a really great cocktail. I just had a cosmo at a South Beach restaurant on Lincoln Rd last night that just didn't compare to the La Vandetta cosmo. So, that's one reason to go to La Vandetta for me because it was a very enjoyable drink. I would definitely return to La Vandetta for the nice presentation and service that they provide there, even if the food isn't five star. Perhaps next time I'll order something that I'll be really impressed with, but it will come with the Vandetta Cosmo.

My wife and I and our two teens chose here for dinner. Great service, very good food.. Salmon Vendetta great, veal Marsala very good, lots of mushrooms and fresh spinach on side. Shrimp risotto was my daughters favorite of our week of dining. Antipasto appetizer a must have. Great night, thanks.

We found this fairly new restaurant a few weeks ago and are very happy to have it in downtown Hollywood. The decor is modern and stylish, they feature live entertainment in the evenings, and the food and service are excellent. The first time we came in we enjoyed a happy hour appetizer of prosciutto and melon. The fruit was very fresh and the thinly sliced prosciutto wrapping it was perfection! A bottle of a Chianti the server recommended paired perfectly with the app. and we went on to order dinner. I had the Fettuccine Carbonera (one of my favorites) and it was amazing. Not too rich - just right. The service was impeccable. There is a full bar for cocktails that we enjoyed on another visit (this was around 12AM on a Friday) where they had live entertainment, and greeted us warmly - remembering our past visit. I highly recommend La Vendetta for dinner, drinks, or just a place to stop in and enjoy a few small plates with friends. Excellent!

My wife and I had two different salads for lunch, both with some modifications for dietary reasons. We were very pleased with the quality, variety, and portion size. The dressings on both were light and lively. We indulged in tiramisu for dessert, and were treated with a slice the size of a brick.

We visited this restaurant to taste the lasagna after we read the reviews on yelp.com . The waitress Renata took our order and even repeated our order back. She bought us our drinks then our salad. We waited for our lasagna but then she returned to the table asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. I personally feel like she was being racist and that she did not want to serve us. I am completely dissatisfied with the service we received here!

If you like chicken *ahem* pollo cordon bleau, then you will love this place. They definitely delivered on the European-esque food I was promised. Not to mention my Long Island was delicious. I'd definitely recommend stopping in for some food, and you can't beat the Caribbean jams playing across the street.

I stopped in for lunch with my husband and we were stunned by the changes that were made since it was the Rainbo Cafe. La Vendetta is absolutely beautiful with tasteful decor, understated elegance, intimate lighting, and nostalgic Italian music. More importantly, the service was good and the food was delish! I had the chicken parmigiana and I must say that their sauce is flavorful and authentic. I hope the folks at La Vendetta keep up the good work. Truth be told, there are plenty of Italian restaurants within 2 minutes walking distance, so they have their work cut out for them! This being said, they have earned our patronage. :)

Just dined at La Vendetta, and will be back there as soon as the opportunity presents itself ! Food, service, value were all top notch ! We were walking around downtown Hollywood, trying to decide what to eat (if you know DT Hollywood you know there are MANY choices), and decided on Italian. I simply cannot say enough about this place. Our Waiter, Alex, was friendly, extremely attentive, and very knowledgeable with regard to the food preparation, flavors, etc. Food was outstanding, bread was literally the best I have ever had in Florida (bread in this state SUCKS), and dessert (Papanasi) was off the chart ! Can't wait to go back !

I live in Dania Beach and had my Sister and her husband come for a visit in August. We spent the day in South Beach and paid way too much for a burger and fries. I had no idea where to suggest we go for dinner so we just parked and started walking down Hollywood Blvd. We walked past La Vendetta and the smells were wonderful so we decided this was the place. We all ended up having the Veal Parm and opted for the pasta instead of the veggies. I can't say enough about how great the veal was, you could cut it with a fork, soooo tender. The sauce was very authentic and the rolls were yummy. Our waiter was very attentive and my water glass was never empty. There was so much food I had to take some home which made for a great lunch the next day. I will definitely be back, just waiting for an excuse.

Its ok. Nothing great about the food or the service. Volare, Mama Mia, and 500 are much much better in the same area - same price range.

Wonderful atmosphere, great food and amazing staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant, as it has a great authentic Italian feel to it. The salad was very fresh and cold, my pollo dish was cooked to perfection and the dessert was a great finish to the experience.

Wow! I can't say enough about this place. We stumbled on this accidentally while walking down Hollywood Blvd, I noticed a "56" Ford Thunderbird parked in front of the old Rainbo Café, which to my surprise is no longer, it is now La Vendetta, and then we were met by a very interesting guy at the front door who told us all about this new restaurant, and about the car as well. He gave us a nice tour and after reviewing the menu ( Italian /American with an additional Eastern European menu) we decided to give it a go My wife ordered the lasagna and I had the Ny Strip. Perfection! Nice décor, top notch service, and an excellent homemade dessert topped off a great dinning experience. Welcome to Hollywood La Vendetta!

Great food. Lots of food for the $ spent. My visit was not 5-star due to service. Sat outside and didn't get my water filled once, took a while to even as for bread. Will return and hope for better service.

Just checked out this place for the first time. Was really impressed. They remodeled it beautifully. Food was delicious. I had the chicken milanese which was great. My husband had the chicken panini. Very good! They also have some romanian food which I look forward to checking out. Now that there is free parking in downtown Hollywood, it makes it even easier to enjoy La Vendetta.

Nice little place on the Downtown Strip in Hollywood. A little warm inside, but we asked the waiter to turn on an overhead fan and it helped a lot! The food was good as well as the service. Nice ambiance. We got the food in a timely manner. We were too full to try dessert, but would go back to try it and try some different things on the menu.

Horrible! I'm writing this at my table in the restaurant because I'm so disappointed in our entire experience here. It started with no drink menu and the claim they could make anything, well they definitely can't! Then out comes the chicken bruschetta, horrible! The bread was un-toasted and soggy and was overloaded with red sauce on top. You couldn't even figure out what all was on it! Then our son ordered the overpriced kids chicken fingers and they were blaa! So we hoped for the best that our main course would be good, wishful thinking. We got the kabobs and a chopped salad. The menu said the main course came with sautéed broccoli and mash potatoes. It came with instant mash potatoes and mixed vegetables that were from a frozen mix. I know this because I work in food service and I know the exact frozen vegetable mix they used from GFS. The kabobs were bland and had no seasoning other than a little salt and pepper and the chicken and was dry and didn't have many vegetables. The salad dressing was tasteless as well. To top all this off, the atmosphere was too quiet and they played elevator music the whole time! It's disappointing because the restaurant itself was beautiful. Swing music would have been perfect and it would have livened the place up and matched the decor! Why can't Hollywood get some good restaurants????

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
