We were invited by another couple to a dinner party at the restaurant. We were unimpressed by its location in a strip mall, however the food and service were excellent. They easily handled 11 of us, all meals at the same time and everyone raved. I had macadamia nut crusted sea bass, and my husband had 3 types of tuna on skewers with sauces on the side. The sea bass was a huge serving of fish. Both meals were out of this world. We shared the bread pudding for dessert and it was probably one of the best bread puddings ever. We travel quite extensively, and look forward to visiting La Brochette next time we are in town. It certainly is a gem of a place, small and cozy!

My son and I had lunch at La Brouchette this afternoon and we were amazed how wonderful it was....I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich which came with fries...choice of regular or sweet potato fries....It came on a huge toasted french baquette with butter and chives and the waitress brought a key lime sauce for us to sample with it....fabulous is all I can say! My son ordered the New York strip steak sandwich and we split our lunches so we could sample both.....Another wonderful sauce was brought for the steak sandwich....this was much more than food...it was French Cuisine....Vickie Koutoulas

La Brochette Bistro is one-of-a-kind. I make it a habit to eat there every time I am in town. I start off with the escargot, which is loaded in garlic for the mere purpose of dipping your bread in it. It doesn't matter what entrée you get because everything is done up to its highest extent and tastes amazing. I would recommend anything on that menu, from the skirt steak, to the mahi-mahi. For dessert, I highly recommend the croissant bread pudding. It is heaven in your mouth. Not only does this restaurant provide the most up-scale food that will leave you breathless, its service is also one-of-a-kind. With this restaurant being open 15+ years, a great deal of first timers return often. Lori and Aboud make you feel so welcomed and form a personal bond with each and every one of you. The waiters take very good care of you and check up on you often. This restaurant is a warm environment that leaves you wanting to come back for more. Just see for yourself.

I can't say enough about this place! Do yourself a huge favor and make a reservation! It's a very popular restaurant with a very loyal following and you might wait a long while to be seated at a table if you show up unannounced. Good news is that La Brochette now has an updated bar area and its open for diners without reservations!!! The menu changes somewhat frequently so call in advance to learn about any new specials or menu changes. Some consistent staples such as French Onion Soup and Chicken Schnitzel. AWESOME Update - Chef Aboud has been incorporating some Korean fusion into his menu - you've got to check this out!!!! The location is convenient - plenty of parking and it's great for romantic night outs and even better for group outings.

We arrived on Tuesday night at 6:45. We were greeted by friendly service. On Tuesdays, all bottles of wine under $65. are 1/2 price and we indulged. Rolls with butter melted on top were served immediately along with butter with honey on top of it. Tasty for me, not so much for my husband who has an allergy to lactose. He asked for rolls without butter several times and finally received it well into his entree. We ordered the Spinach Fried Ravioli which was excellent. For our entrées we ordered the Hog Snapper and the NY Strip Steak. The presentations were great. However, the Hog Snapper is a fish with bones. I had to pick through all of it to get the bones out. Not a fan of this. I have had Hog Snapper in beautiful presentations like this before in other restaurants and was always given the option for them to remove the bones after seeing the presentation. I would love them to offer this option. Due to the presentation, the bones were also in my mashed potatoes. My snapper had a spicy sauce on the side. The fish was roasted and cooked to perfection. Didnt really use the sauce. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly as well. They made him a special sauce for his allergy and it was very good. Not a very large steak, maybe 8oz. They did not have any desert options to accommodate his lactose allergy. A big miss on their part. This happens often. I expected more with these ratings. So due to the service with the rolls(happens often when people have allergies) ,the boney fish, and no options for my husbands allergy we offer a honest rating of a 3.

Great Atmosphere! Little hole in the wall restaurant with amazing, unique food selections. My dad took me here and we sat down at the table to eat. The waiter was extremely nice and friendly. Would definitely go again!

Very good food. The menu does not do this place justice because most everything is specials. Would recommend, make sure to have a reservation for the weekends. Nice for a special occasion.

Ate here last night and it was very good. Had the skirt steak and it was perfect! Salmon, chicken at the table too and were great!! Little on the pricey side but I thought it was worth it!

A true hidden gem in the suburbs of Sheridan. Must try the crab cake, it's mostly all crab meat!!! Doughnut bread pudding is also a must! Croissant at the bottom, doughnut on top and marmalade in the middle.

Definitely a hidden gem. Have dined here several times in the last 3-4 years and the food is consistently wonderful. I'm not sure I've ever ordered off of the regular menu, as the specials are always so enticing. They have also been kind about accommodating my child, which I appreciate.

Visiting Broward county from NYC area. Didn't expect this. What a surprise. Not without flaw, but fabulous-worth a trip if I was Miami, West Palm or Ft. Lauderdale. Dinosaur sized portions and still kind of so 1990, but there was a fabulous and creative originality hard to find anywhere. It was in a suburb with no sophistication and a nice long talk with the chef helped explain some of the why's and wherefores. GREAT: Crab Cake-I know, what could be so great about a crabcake? Well, as my wife said, "It doesn't take like the usual turkey stuffing" referring to way too much breadcrumbs, not much crab. Here the crab was a huge percentage of the dish and was sweet and fresh. The crispy crust was not soggy. The sauce was a beurre blanc made with-get this-key lime. Ofcourse-Florida. But the ingredients were the stars of this meal, to quote a famous Tuscan chef. Asparagus soup-I know, what could be so great about asparagus soup-how about pure asparagus pureed and very green with three parboiled stalks stickign striagh up, and a dallop of yam at the bottom (holding up the asparagus). The same delicious and sweet crabmeat in profusion. Enough for dinner. Bread rolls-what could be so good about bread rolls; light, fresh, hot, perfectly risen and well done. Chilean Seabass-what a giant piece of fish. But this was not inelligent. Beautiful and creative sauce with key lime, red horseradish-sweeter than white from the beet juice. Kobea-an amazing wild fish that my wife had. There was a massive portion of pasta underneath it. Vegetables-each dish was served with beautiful vegetables, each beautifully handled. Red pepper-brokled to softe the skin. Gailan-not as bitter as the usual Chinese version. Doumiao (pea sprouts) served raw, but delicious, tender and sweet. Souvide (I think) carrot-delicious, tender, sweet and a sense of perfection. How could just a carot be so amazing? Yam mixed with potatoe was delicious and well balanced. Why not just the yam? Chef said, the texture is not as good. Desert-bread pudding (which I wouldn't order in a million years if it weren't so strongly recommended by waiter). Light, more like a souflee. A side of ginger ice cream with fresh mint leaves. Home made? Forgot to ask. Another side parfait of whipped cream, fruit compote and fresh fruit, and creme anglais. Wow wow wow. Coffee-best cup of coffee I have had this year. Rich, flavorful, dark roasted, but not too acidic. Wine-a $20 bottle called the "house special". It was a cabernet, but had a high level of acidity and cherry flavor that made it completely ambitdestrous with all the flavors in the meal. Could have been a $100 pinot. But it was cab. What? Price-$120 with wine for 2 adults and 2 kids. Staggeringly reasonable. Portions-I prefer small ones as large portions usually means lack of elegance and creativity. This disproved the rule. My piece of seabass must have been a full pound-about $30 worth last time I bought Chilean seabass. Ingredients; The chef buys extremely small quantities of fish every day early a.m. Off the charts. The rest of the ingredients were incredible too. INTERESTING: Dried blueberries and green onions mixed together in a pasta served with the fish. Doumiao-sweet peas sprouts-young and tender and tasty. Sweet fresh crab in the soup and crabcakes. Desert. Seems to buy some vegetables and asian markets. Also, he made the gailan taste a lot sweeter than the "experts"-the dimsum restaurants that normally serve this with a glop of oyster sauce. ] COMPARISON: Michael White has 3 michelin stars, and doesn't do vegetables nearly as well or as interestingly as the chef. His creative flavors were awesome-one of the best fusion chefs in America. No doubt. All the fish and seafood was as fresh as the best fish places I have been to: Bernardin-with three michelin stars, and Esca-Mario Batalis place. DISSAPPOINTING: Beurre blanc made with cornstarch-chef explanation-"Too busy on Saturday to make each one separately". Understand. If he were charging more and wasn't forced to serve such massive portions by the needs of his clientele, he might be able to hire a saucier. Parmesan on kids pasta-domestic and not aged. Seabass frozen. Chef-"I can get fresh, but the prices are out of site" Fair enouugh-frozen seabass is out of site. Imagine how pricey fresh is. Pasta-kind of wish it was homemade or at least a good semolina based pasta. WISH TO TRY: Chef gets his tuna directly from a Hawaiian fish company direclty who he's friends with. Another local fish sounded great, chef makes it with a noisette/beurre blanc sauce that he is quite reknowned for. Wished I'd tried the elk, venison, or 1/2 duck. Love those. CHEF BACKGROUND: Check the website, but he cooked in Norway at a major restaurant and Paris. Been here about 20 plus years. As I said, so 1990s. But WHO CARES. If this is 1990s, I want to eat th

Its hard these days to find a restaurant with not only excellent food, but great service, great presentation, the staff is knowledgable. I felt i was in the moon. Every single dish was excellent, but the sauces for every single dish we had were out of this world...

Back here for the first time in many years--great choice for Mother's Day. Service was perfect: waiter, runner and busser all attentive without hovering, friendly and helpful without being ingratiating, and the word 'no' was not in their vocabulary. I cannot comprehend the negative remarks from other reviewers about the person greeting and seating them; I guess some people (certainly not me) want their asses kissed as soon as they cross the threshold. Our food choices were outstanding: Brie appetizer served on naan bread; stuffed whole Bronzino; roast duck with old-school orange sauce rather than the artsy-fartsy sugary glaze you find in so-called "modern cuisine" joints. And a dessert of Italian pistachio ice cream nuggets with dark chocolate and fresh fruit that blew away any gelato (which our waiter cited as a reference) that I have ever had. Perhaps I have become too easy to please from eating at too many homogenized franchise restaurants but there are too few places that understand that simple classic dishes prepared with all-fresh ingredients is what gets them five-star reviews. And it all can be done at only a very moderate price premium above what the corporate chains charge. But a word of warning: ignore the menus here on Yelp and on the restaurant website. Descriptions are very different and of course so are the prices. The latest update on the website appears to be the posting for holiday hours--from 2012! More disconcerting to the pedant in me was that their POS is also well out of date: even the items we ordered from the regular menu (Brie, Caesar Salad, Bronzino) were rung as "open specials" with the price presumably manually entered--see the picture I submitted. While the prices on my check were 100% accurate such a system lacking proper matching of item to price opens the door for employee override: charging regulars less than new customers, reassigning values to the gratuity line, making deals with those paying cash. Yeah I know it appears pointless to go on about this issue as it did not detract one iota from the excellent food and service. But it IS an unprofessional way to run a business--perhaps a visit from "Mystery Diners" is in order?

Always loved the food, presentation and service but the 'hostess' is one the worst I've ever encountered. For an established business with some of the best food in town, it is a shame that the whole experience starts off with a negative, un accommodating and unprofessional person 'greeting' you at the front door. I'm not sure if this is the chefs/owners mother or that this person has been with the restaurant for decades but 'seniority' is no reason to be outright rude. This is a service industry and the front door should be staffed with someone who exudes professionalism and kindness to every patron that walks in, especially when you will most likely drop over $200 for two people enjoying dinner on a Thursday night.

La Brochette is an easy go too spot for AMAZING food in Cooper City. Without having to leave the neighbourhood, u can get a spectacular meal worthy of Michelin stars. Then why a 4 star review? Well, that's the service. It is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, other times horrible, other times mediocre. I feel like if we are paying over $100-$150 for 2 people to eat, the service should at least be good. As a result of this, despite having had some of the most perfect meals ever at La Brochette, it is hard to return for special occasions where the experience is what matters as much or more than the food. Still, on my short lost of favourite restaurants.

Very small, hidden place, I would've never thought of it but the food is delicious. Very fresh, and the service is awesome. Tried their conch, the best and the dessert. Looking forward to going back.

I cannot express how much my family and I love this restaurant! It is a hidden gem!!! The appetizers are amazing!!!! We love them so much that we usually do a tapas style. The octopus are my favorite. If there is duck in the menu du jour order!! I tried the duck different ways. I loved all! Do no overeat, because you must save room for dessert!!! I mean it!! They do not open Monday, and during summer they do not open on Sundays. It is a must go restaurant!!!!

A wonderful chef owned restaurant in a nondescript strip mall. The owner/chef is Lebanese & creates exquisite French cuisine. In business for 25 yrs. Simple romantic ambiance. Each course more divine than the next. I was rendered speechless by how perfect each bite was. You must make a reservation. It has a very loyal fan base & they book up quickly.

Delicious food. Reliably great. Questionable service is hit or miss. I feel if I am going to spend this much money on my dinner, service should be at least half as good as the food. I've had some of the most delicious meals at la brochette. Their mustard crusted lamb, Chilean sea bass, marinated duck breast, lobster or conch schnitzel, even the venison were all perfectly balanced culinary delights. Every dish is close ur wyea and really savour it delicious. The creme brulee is lovely. The atmosphere intimate and quaint. The wine selection is good. The ONLY detractor this restaurant has in the inconsistent service. Service can be horrible, mediocre and excellent - it is a total crap shoot.

Food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and the service was excellent. Portion size is ideal and very similar to European styles. Highly recommend the swordfish and Amazonian fish. I also had some of the ravioli, brie pocket and fresh mozzarella salad appetizers all very delicious. The only member of our party who was dissatisfied was the vegetarian in the group. After tasting her meal it was mostly bland and seemed as though everything was thrown together on the grill. Not a very vegetarian friendly place, and you will have to ask for it. Excellent beer and wine selection. Mostly European styles. I had a delicious Dunkelweisen. Look forward to returning. This place is pricey so expect to pay top dollar. My fish was $32. The place is small, though they can accommodate groups, be sure to call and make a reservation, especially on the weekend.

Had been wanting to try La Brochette, and so glad we went. The food was phenomenal. Mussels for appetizer- huge portion, in great sauce, perfect for dipping bread; we both got seafood, I got the pistachio coated yellow snapper with a key lime butter sauce, unbelievably delicious. For dessert, we ordered the raspberry sorbet in white chocolate and the espresso chocolate mousse, both were fantastic. I highly recommend the restaurant. Nice atmosphere, nice staff. Bon appetite! Will post photos once downloaded!

We've been to this one several times. Close to the house, La Brochette Bistro is a hidden gem in West Broward. This restaurant sits in a strip mall between a dollar store and a supermarket and, from outside, doesn't say much. In fact, we only went in as it was recommended by my son's doctor. Every time we've gone, this place is pretty full, even on weekdays. That's a sign of a good meal about to go down! The décor is this restaurant's weakness but it actually goes with the look they are trying to accomplish... which is old fashioned French cuisine. The menu is somewhat limited but the choices are all good. They also have specials which will be recited to you as they are not on the menu at times. We usually get going with a very nice warm bread basket. At that point we will ask for them to uncork our bottle of wine which we always bring for a corkage fee of $20. At some points, we will order some appetizers and sit back and relax. The last time we had the scallops and the beef carpaccio. Both were real good. In the past, for dinner, we've ordered the marcona almond Chilean sea bass (my favorite), the duck, and the chicken schnitzel. All very good as usual. For dessert, we've had this and we've had that but the best in show is the white chocolate bread pudding. It's soooooooo good!!! Why? Well anything with white chocolate is good. But, also, this bread pudding is made with CROISSANTS!!! Oh my!!! This is one of the better neighborhood restaurants around.

This is a great hidden restaurant in a strip mall of all places!! Don't read the menu; wait for the specials, and be prepared to be torn between 2 or 3 dishes...For the appetizer, don't miss the scallops. For dinner, the macadamia nut coated chilean sea bass , or whole deboned bronzini with fresh veggies were both excellent. The bread pudding, made with french baguettes, topped with scoop of vanilla ice cream, and cappuccino finished the 'event'... : ) They also have sunday prix fix menu, Tuesday half price wines... Next time we try the escargot and lamb chops 3 ways !!!

We took 4 of our friends to this restaurant for my birthday dinner. The daily specialties were numerous and quite appealing. I had the yellow tailed snapper with pasta. It was delicious. My husband had the veal steak, again, quite delicious. My friends all ordered filet mignon. The portions of the food were quite large and the prices for the value of the meal were good. We enjoyed our food and the service immensely. We will definitely go back.

The food was fabulous and service excellent. This is one of our favorite places to eat a quality meal which is well presented. The only drawback is the decor and cleanliness of the place. To be more specific, the mirrors need to be cleaned as well as the blinds and bathrooms. New paint is in order and the wires in one of the rooms need to be hidden or at least attached properly. A fresh coat of paint is a must. However, if your bottom line is food, it does not get better than this restaurant in Broward. Food is top, decore and style poor.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in South Florida. From appetizers to dessert, your taste buds will be fully satisfied. The service is great as well, knowledgeable and professional staff. This place is not cheap, it is definitely on a pricier side, but it is totally worth it, especially for a special occassion.

This place is the real business, and I would know, I'm in business. If you like seafood (and I do, sho nuff) you will love to listen to the constantly updated specials menu. I love listening, some people say I'm all ears. You will not leave here unhappy, unless you forget to order food (it sounds crazy, but my memory no so good). His fish is fresh daily, local (close by) and from far places. Fresh fish.

I go here often and the food is always delicious and fresh. Prices are just right and you shouldn't even read the menu, just wait to hear the specials. Even the desserts are delicious so make sure you save room for them.

Great gourmet food in a very unassuming location. Restaurant is small, but very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Dishes show a lot of creativity, with excellent combinations of spices, fruits and nuts. The onion soup was great, and I tried the Pompano filet on a black berry and macadamia nut sauce that was very good. If you like bread pudding, you should try theirs.

The dining highlight of our trip to South Florida. Had a great table and the service was outstanding. I had the lamb meatballs as an appetizer. I ordered seafood for dinner and ordered white wine due to that course. The lamb was so good and the wine such a bad pairing that I asked for a glass of red to compliment it. The waiter made a great choice and actually did not charge us for it because it finished a bottle behind the bar. Great service. Wife had an outstanding filet and I had one of the fish specials which was an imported fish from South America. The signature bread pudding dessert was quite good. On any return visit to South Florida this will be #1 on the dining list.

This restaurant has been in this location for many, many years and since I grew up around the corner, I've visited La Brochette more times than I'd like to admit. Each time, I hope & wish & cross fingers that it'll be better. Needless to say, it never is. Every time, without fail, they are out of SOMETHING key. Order an ice tea, they'll surely be out of ice. The waiter may inform you that they have 4 specials but order one, and 20 minutes later, someone will return to inform you that they are out of it. It's been so long that you have to ask to see a menu again to select another dish... and yeah, they just ran out of that, too. Not a fan.

Located 5 doors down from a Winn Dixie, you wouldn't expect this kind of restaurant. Mediterranean with a French twist is how I would describe this great find. The waiter describes about 5-6 specials, each sounding better than the rest. Chef Aboud Kobaitri is a master of presentation and came out to introduce himself after we gave complements. To start the goat cheese salad was awesome, with the cheese coated with an almond breading and a tomato vinaigrette .My entree was the Bronzini (sea Bass) that was to die for. Cooked to perfection it just melted in your mouth along with the lime cream sauce. My wife had the Kurobota pork, with a raspberry chipolte sauce. After taking a bite I was second guessing my choice as good as it was. We didn't really have room for desert as the portion sizes are quite large, but we went for the creme burle. This is the best I have ever had, with a hint of Grand Monier and white chocolate, very creamy and the perfect texture. I don't understand the negative feedback below from the other user but a chef this qualified is a hard find, especially in a Winn Dixie shopping center, you would expect this kind of talent in a Las Vegas strip hotel. Enjoy!

Hidden in a shopping center in copper city la brochette bistro is a hidden gem. The looks are a bit deceiving from the front but when you enter, it is a quaint quiet romantic bistro. I had the surf and turf (grilled shrimp and filet). This was as good as it gets! The presentation was amazing and the portion was huge. All deserts are made fresh daily and I suggest getting 2 or more as it is impossible to choose just 1.

Surprised my wife for our 11th wedding anniversary and took her to La Brochette Bistro for dinner on Saturday night January 12, 2013. I read a lot of reviews first and I feel bad the few negative reviewers had the experiences they did because ours was so positive all around. Had a great time. Great service from everybody and Michelle our waitress was terrific. Loved the "Specials" menu and the overall selection of food. We're heading back on Saturday February 23rd and taking another couple. Having about 4 helpings of the Conch Schnitzel! Go!

  • Alan L.

I have eaten here many, many times. The food is spectacular. I have never before had Conch Schnitzel and it is prepared so perfectly. It's not always on the menu, so ask. Their bronzino and snapper are excellent. For dessert, I've had the pepper cheesecake, which is almost indescribable. The pepper does not affect the delicious flavor of the cheesecake, but finishes with a mild bite. Truly amazing. I was skeptical based on the name, but their execution is perfect. Have never had anything less than a great meal here. Their presentations are also phenomenal. Great, great restaurant.!

Highly recommend! Never would have expected such great food at this location but don't let the strip mall front deceive you, it's amazing. Much more expansive menu than listed on the website, seafood specials every night. I personally can speak for the lamb chops and snapper which were both good. Service was great, friendly staff, excellent food!! Kind of pricey but worth it if you can.

Food was good, not great. Would go again if I lived out west but there are many better choices in Fort Lauderdale where I live. How Zagat rated this so high is beyond me. Service was average. Two small rolls and never asking if we would like more bread. Took forever for waitress to come to the table. House salad was great. After dinner ordered decaf and it was tepid and old. Cream barely changed the color. They took the off the check, but I can't believe a they would serve in the first place. If you live in Cooper City, give it try. Otherwise there are much better choices in the county.

La Brochette Bisto is an elegant little sit down French Restaurant in an unlikely locale: a little strip mall in suburban Cooper City that could be almost a little tiny bit famous for its appearance in the movie "Bully." This perrenial town favorite has been around as long as I can remember despite prices that are relatively high for the area. How's it do it? Quality. La Brochette brings big city elegance and traditional French cuisine to Cooper City. The food and service are both excellent and the decor is romantic and traditional. It's also quite approachable for those without much exposure to French cuisine. For example, my dad who's palate is so dull that he normally complains if any food has any seasonings other than salt and pepper was in heaven with their decadent ribeye that came with four traditional French sauces. Can't miss for celebrating a special event in Cooper City.

Love this restaurant! I have been so many times and I have ordered so many things and it is always terrific! It is also incredible that as many times as I have been, every time they have as many (or more) specials than items actually listed on the menu. This tells you that their food is fresh and their chef is creative. By the way I believe the chef may be Lebanese and adds some great preparation and flavors to his meals. I always stay consistent with my appetizers. I think the conch schnitzel is the best thing on the menu. For appetizers I also enjoy the calamari and crab cake. They have a great French soup; they better at a French restaurant! They also have a nice selection of salads. Now for the main course I usually go with a fish and they always have so many fresh fish on the menu. You will likely hear of some fish that you've never even heard of until that moment. You really can't go wrong. The waiter will describe the fish and choose the one that meets your preferences for a fish. On my goal to try different cultural foods I can say that I have tried French food.

One of my favorite restaurants. 100% of the time I've been to La Brochette Bistro I have not been disappointed. The service is also 5 stars and the food is impeccable. They should however do something about their restrooms. It would make the experience much more appealing if the restrooms were updated and clean.

  • James O.

I would have given this place 5 stars if it were not for the Phirana I was served as my entree that was called some sort of Amazonian fish. It was simply not good. Besides that all the rest of our food such as the salmon, lamb chops, Ahi Tuna, esgargot etc was excellent. Service was good also, no complaints there. The only other negative I would mention is that for the price level they are charging the Decor needs updating. Presentation of all the food was amazing and deserts were delicious. Overall a fine restaurant that could use a facelift.

First time was ok, second time it made me realize how scripted it was to make you order the most expensive stuff. Always trying to upsale and make you get more stuff. Food is great, but staff can be annoying. I like the originality of the dishes, but it can be pricey. Also, sometimes the appetizers are bigger than the main course, as we learned when ordering some mussels. We could barely have room for the main course, but had already ordered everything, which was a bit annoying too. It does have a wide variety of specials, so that's good, especially if you like fish. I would order form the specials, bc they just seem fresher than the menu dishes.

With a desire to find alternative dining options for my after Golf Crew on Wednesdays we ventured on recommendation to la brochette bistro in cooper city which is a small Bistro type establishment in a non descript shopping mall surrounded by Winn Dixie, Gas Stations and various other run of the mill strip mall stores. Not expecting much I was shall we say pleasantly surprised but not 100% blown away on first visit. Although there were 6 of us tonight, 3 guys ordered the same entree which will limit the reviews some but here goes. you can find hints of his Middle-eastern food with a strong base of French cuisine, & Scandinavian food as well with some of the influences of Florida seafood. A small menu followed by at least 1/2 dozen appetizer specials and 1/2 dozen more entree specials as well. Seated right away as they had just opened at 5:30PM and we for a bit were the only diners in the place. Service was brisk and professional with bottled water poured without our request though not overpriced. The bread was warm and the butter sits on a dollop of honey. Wine list was diverse if not extremely reasonable with a heavy offering in a variety of reds. Selected and not overly priced Charles Krug Cabernet and had the following specials as appetizers. Pan Seared Jumbo sea scallops over a potatoes based mix topped with some mixed greens, olive oil garlic and caramelized onions. $12.00 Excellent presentation with fresh fish and a large portion for an appetizer Lobster bisque with a touch of heavy cream and brandy was tasty creamy but lacked any noticeable seafood. $8.00 French Onion Soup $8 Traditionally made with croutons and baked with mozzarella cheese, fresh piping hot and not as dark, heavy or as oily as many places make it. Lebanese Bruchettas $7 Crispy pita bread with zaatar, calamata olives, feta cheese, and tomato served with hummus Interesting display and tasty though I prefer the Italian version. Veal Liver $10 pan seared, served with sauteed onion, crispy bacon, and a veal demi-glaze. Did not try but from the raves of my friend he indicated this was top notch, and it's not my thing but it looked pretty good. Entrees: Roasted Italian Bronzini (Seabass) Served whole, completely de-boned, seasoned, served with white wine butter sauce and sliced almonds stuffed with Crabmeat. Three of these were ordered and they were at best a 5 out of 10. The fish was Mêlée and had that strange odor I detest. Steak Frittes 24 Grilled NY strip Steak, served with French fries and a garlic herb butter In short NOT GOOD. Steak was simply awful though presentation was good, it was a poor cut of meat so everything going forward was downhill. Two Specials which were A Prime Cowboy Rib eye sliced top skirt steak with homemade BBQ / Hoison sauce was the best thing on the table. $32.00 No Coffee or deserts were had but the list was interesting. Bottom line caught between good and not a repeat because the Bronzini was so off, but service was attentive and brisk, place was clean and cozy and I'd be willing to give them another try skipping the aforementioned I'd say 2.5 stars but YELP doesn't allow that option. Will finalize my review upon return sometime in future. NO Corkage fee on Tuesday's & only $20.00 on other evenings.

Must go if you are a foodie!!! This is the restaurants other Chef's go to when they want good food!!! Although it's in a nothing strip mall - the food, the desserts and presentation are top notch - especially for the price. The service is just as amazing as the food. Our waiter was Christian and he made us feel very special, provided recommendations and put a candle in the dessert for my fiancé. The wine selection is fabulous, they will help you with pairing as well. They also have a special for 50% bottles of wine over $60 bucks onTuesday night. This place compares to me to some of the 5 star restaurants I've visited in San Fran. Go make your reservation you won't be sorry!!!

La Brochette Bistro is a Hidden treasure in Cooper City. I have gone there many times and the food is always 5 Star excellent quality. Their seafood is the best. The staff is also very friendly and treats you like family. If you are looking for a great meal than La Brochette Bistro is the place. By Gregg L. Friedman MD

fairly good food but prices keep going up and are way too high for location and food. very big portion sizes but they should cut back a bit on portions and lower the prices. most entree's are in the 30's. service ok- not top notch. location is in winn Dixie shopping plaza. it is fairly gourmet type of food and one of the better restaurants in broward- but pricing keeps going up. if you call for reservation they always seem to say they are almost booked etc- every time I have been there it is fairly empty even on weekends.

We went here for our Anniversary dinner and it was a great choice. I had the Duck and it was probably the best I have had in a very long time. It was crispy and the Orange sauce was not too sweet. I loved the presentation and it included mashed potatoes and skewered grilled vegetables. Ok, the mashed potatoes were nothing special, but everything else was. I had the Escargot as an appetizer. It was very good, although, I have to admit, it may have had a little too much garlic. For dessert, my wife and I shared the white chocolate bread pudding which is made with croissants. Wow it was so good. Bottom line is we will be back and we highly recommend the restaurant for a special night out. It is pricey, so it won't be a frequently visited place. For 4 of us, with a bottle of wine, the bill was just under $200 (not including gratuity).

I happened across this gem in Davie by using the Date Night app on my I Phone. What a pleasant surprise! My first visit was amazing. My second visit was just as good. Don't bother with the menu, wait for the specials. My husband and I love to dine and one of my favorite cuisine is French food and middleastern cu sine. This gem is a combination of both. I had the organic amazon fish (pasha????) broiled in a brown butter key lime sauce with capers....best tasting fish I have ever had in my life. Tender...not fishy, moist delicious. My husband, the world's most finicky eater, had the chorizo stuffed pork chops with a raspberry chipotle sauce that was to die for. We had to order more sauce and bread so that he could dip the bread in the raspberry sauce. I awaited with bated breath for my husband's comment, I call him Ego from Ratatouille, and to my surprise....the word coming out of his lips, which, I never hear, was EXCELLENT!!

Great place to dine out in western Broward! The service and food is top notch. Always a great list of specials. I had the cowboy steak..amazing. I also have had many other items here. The fish dishes are excellent. The owners are usually there and will always make you feel at home. If you have never been here, you are missing a great spot. Great date place too, it's quiet enough to enjoy a conversation.

Delicious food with a great presentation. Super wine list too. Only reason for 4 stars is the atmosphere. It is located in a strip mall and the interior is just OK. The fish is always fresh and if you like conch you must try theirs. The beef is delicious as well and they have specials all of the time. I believe Tuesday is 1/2 price wine or you can bring your own (no cork fee). We have never had a bad meal here and the service is great. I highly recommend this place :)

My husband And I visited this restaurant for the very first time this evening, we had to wait a few minutes before someone actually came to assist us, the lady at the front was very dry and did not even smile once. The food was amazing, the baked Brie, lobster bisque, the steak even the bread, it was all so delicious, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our every need but no smiles.. I will definitely return for the food quality not for its customer service.

Great ambiance, excellent food and Tuesdays no corking fee, what!!!... Definitely a must in the area. I just can't believe it's been there for so long and I didn't know about it. Must haves... Grouper entrée, spiced edamame appetizer, octopus appetizer, quinoa penne with lobster appetizer and venison loins entrée... Yum!

Superior in every way. Attentive and friendly service from the entire staff. Couple that with well trained servers who made great suggestions and cuisine that is second to none. The mussels are among the best I have ever had. The skirt steak was tender, juicy and served in a light marinade that was succulent. I loved their creme brulee. This is now one of my favorite places.

Attention everyone, it is imperative that you read what I am about to write. How this place was not on my radar until recently, I will never know. Hiding in a shopping strip between a Dollar Tree store and a Winn Dixie is this soon to be "often visited by me" spot. I was told about it by my son's pediatrician and then reminded of it when it was mentioned in the Sun Sentinel recently. Parking was a breeze. Walked in for 9pm reservations and they were running about 10 minutes behind. Every single table was taken. The owner came by, apologized and offered wine on the house for waiting. We passed since we had brought our own but that was nice. We moved to the bar area to wait. Minutes after that we got moved to our table. The tables are pretty close together due to the small restaurant size. Decor is kitschy but the dim lighting helps with the ambiance. Immediately an army of staff came by to fill our glasses, welcome us, hand out menus, bring out wine glasses, bread basket and I have to say I was a bit dizzy at first. It was all quite fast. The menu is small and the real stars seem to be mainly on the specials they offer. They all sounded great! I had to keep reminding myself that sure enough, I was still in Cooper City in a strip mall because I kept forgetting it. The bread was warm and the butter sits on a dollop of honey. We had a second bread basket. Oink. Like I mentioned, we brought our wine and with only a $ 20.00 corkage fee it was perfect! Appetizers arrived, scallops wrapped in grape leaves and the beef carpaccio. Fabulous! We had requested that the entrees be spaced out to give us time to lounge and enjoy our food with no hurry. They honored it and let us decide when to put our orders through (10:30pm or so). We did pre select them because they ran out since some things ARE limited (small restaurant after all). Specials change often and our reservations were on the late side. We did hear some of the waiters announce something had been taken off the menu throughout the night. Better safe than sorry! Entrees were a marcona almonded Chilean sea bass and three orders of their hoisin sauce steak. Delicious. All was perfectly cooked and presented. Very pleased. And now for the real reason I will return until the end of time....drums please........ WHITE-CHOCOLATE- BREAD-PUDDING made with CROISSANTS!!!!!!!! WHITE-CHOCOLATE- BREAD-PUDDING made with CROISSANTS!!!!!!!! WHITE-CHOCOLATE- BREAD-PUDDING made with CROISSANTS!!!!!!!! WHITE-CHOCOLATE- BREAD-PUDDING made with CROISSANTS!!!!!!!! WHITE-CHOCOLATE- BREAD-PUDDING made with CROISSANTS!!!!!!!! OK, let me compose myself. Deep breath. Back to the review. We had the bread pudding, a white chocolate creme brulee and a chocolate concoction with a name I don't recall. Something with a V, bad Yelper...sorry, too much wine. The hubby and I had cappuccinos to end with. The creme brulee was average but the chocolate one was pretty darn good too. Did I mention the bread pudding? I am so excited I have this so close to my house. I will be a regular very very soon!

Delicious food, great beer and wine in a upscale atmosphere! The service is terrific - we are really happy with our happy hour today and will be back next week - lots of good food to try! We had salads, escargot ( the best) and brie with fig sauce that was so decadent I will dream about it!

This is definitely a HIDDEN GEM in Cooper City. How could I have not found La Brochette Bistro a while ago?!?! Oh goodness... On a Friday evening, trying to ponder what to do and where to have dinner, my wife and I ran through so many ideas, but none of the ideas ever really sparked our attention. So, the indecisions lead to a later evening as we watched time just pass us by. Finally, I made an executive decision..."When in doubt, Yelp it out!" I stayed true to my middle name on Yelp. I came across La Brochette because it wasn't too far from our home. Walking into the establishment, it is a quaint family owned bistro that is well ran...because it was nearly full that evening. From small crowds to large... As we sat, we were kindly greeted and offered menus. Service is excellent! We were handed the menu, but when the waiter came around, he offered the evening's specials...MAN! What an extensive list of mouth-watering specials! The choices went from land to sea and back to land. After he offered and described the dozen of appetizer and entrée specials, I almost hurt my own wallet and tummy and was about to order one of each. But I knew that was impossible to consume so therefore I held off. There is always a next time....Right???? Well, after contemplating again...it was an evening of "contemplating." Bread basket: Warm rolls, crusty on the outside and so pillowy soft on the inside. With a side of blueberry cream cheese...so good that the waiter caught my wife continuously dipping her fork in there and just eating alone. She did the sneaky attack so many times that she got caught! Show's you how good it is... Appetizers- - Smoked duck breast/Ahi Tuna: large generous slices of ahi tuna, perfectly cooked- seared rare, drizzled with a sweet and salty soy glaze with a hint of spice sprinkled on it. The perfectly balanced slices of the smokey duck breast was amazing! Was cooked perfectly and still succulent and tasty. - Crab Cake: A previously review from a Yelper was absolutely right! This thing is ALL crab! A large patty, with large pieces of lump crab meat that is filling on its own. Very lightly crusted on the outside with breadcrumbs and seared to perfection. This is definitely a winner! Entrées - Both were the nightly specials-- - Braised lamb ribs: My wife ordered this appetizer as her entrée and it was a nice portion. About 4-5 lamb ribs that were braised laid on top of a half of a roasted potato, served with a side of homemade BBQ sauce and a side of mint jelly. These ribs had a great lamb flavor and seasoned well, not dry and were meaty. - Venison: Rare! Yes, as it was also suggested by the waiter...Rare. This little Bambi didn't have a chance! With it being so lean and strong, it shouldn't be cooked too much because you'd be eating a dry sponge. Bleh... But it was seared nicely on the outside and served on top a bed of mash, onions and a white mushroom sauce drizzled all over along a side of grilled veggies. Excellent choice! Dessert - (I don't even know how we fit this in our stomachs...but we did!) - Bread pudding: Are you kidding me?!?! Krispy Kreme/Croissant bread pudding! OF COURSE I'm going to try it! This bread pudding is the original recipe from what the previous Yelper's describe as the White Chocolate bread pudding, but NOW they've added the element of the Krispy Kreme doughnut. What?!?! WATCH OUT! It is awesome. As you dig into the bread pudding, at the bottom you'll find some chocolatey surprise, served with vanilla ice cream and a vanilla anglaise in a little shot glass with some whipped cream! MONEY!! GET IT! I DARE YOU! - Chocolate Decadence! I believe it was called Vesuvius: This pie, it's crust was made of a brownie, has chocolate mouse, cake, fudge, cream, drizzle...I don't know...EVERYTHING was an element of chocolate. It was like having ten different chocolate desserts in one. HEAVEN! For chocolate lovers of course. Was not overly sweet and just yummy! OOf! Can't wait to get home and strip off my pants and release the pressure from my waist...

Simply amazing every time. Started my dinner with the Calamari that was fresh, moist on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Served with a spicy sauce. For my main course I had the Bronzino in lobster cream sauce that was prepared to perfection. The deserts are all a culinary delight but my favorite is always chef Aboud's bread pudding. Great wine list. Beautiful presentation, impeccable service and the food never ceases to amaze!

OK go look at my pictures of our food then let's talk. The food here is almost beyond compare, the closest place I can think of locally minus the view is Casablanca Cafe by the beach. This is one of the few restaurants I know of in town that has multiple selections of fresh fish for dinner, prepared many different ways and they'll change the preparation around if something sounds better to you. The crowd is indeed older so keep that in mind, but the place is a GREAT date place if you live west of the 95. It's in a strip mall and has the darkest window tinting you might ever see. The decor is nothing special, but I''d definitely call it intimate. When we go (and I've been 3 times now) we order a bunch of things and share. I will also tell you that 90% of the food they have is not on the menu! Bring a pen and paper b/c they will have 5-10 appetizers, at least 5 entrees, and 3 different desserts that they'll tell you verbally. Think Matorano's before they got a menu. This will also make pricing difficult for you to ascertain [see the pix of the bill I posted for 2]. They have an amazing wine selection and they have nice bottles like La Crema Pinot Noir for $45 Now to the FOOD [keep in mind we shared this and it still was too much] --The grilled calamari was by far my favorite dish. It was perfectly cooked, which if you know anything about cooking calamari is an amazing feat!!! --The scallops were good, but paled in comparison to some of the other dishes.. --Roasted red pepper soup- IF you are a soup person you would be hard pressed not to order this again. It's the kind of thing you crave later after you ate it and hope it's on the menu again when you go back to the restaurant --Macadamia nut crusted Hogfish on pasta. It was delicious, entirely too much food, and had I known [and this is my only gripe] they were going to charge us $4 as a sharing charge I would've had them serve it on the same plate. We definitely did not need 2 of all the veggies, pasta, etc. Again, when 2 people are spending $140 for dinner on a Wed night without tip let's skip the $4 charge b/c you don't want to leave a bad taste in their mouth, especially after all that fine food.

We have been going here for 10 years. Chef Aboud does not disappoint. Always has some sort of exotic fish or meat dish imported fresh and prepared amazingly with nice size portions. Appetizers and dessert are also fantastic with a nice and reasonably priced wine list. A must go on Cooper City!

Our dining experience was fantastic! The wait staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and the bistro's history, and that added spice to our meal. The appetizers and entrees were appropriately priced. The happy hour specials, both drinks and appetizers, are also well priced.

I took my wife there, for the first time based on ZAGAT. We went on a Wednesday night with no reservation. The elderly lady host seemed agas at our audacity to just walk in and almost sent us away. I insisted that we can have a drink and wait at the bar, and she reluctantly told us it will be at least 20 minutes. We went to the bar but nobody paid any attention to us, even though the person I assumed was a bartender, was just washing some glasses right in front of us. There were only two other people drinking at the bar. After no more than about three minutes a waiter came and asked us if we wanted to go to our table, a table right behind us, which was empty all along. Strikingly, the menu is very small, but there were some items that sounded good. The waiter came and told us a bout the specials. There seemed to be more items on the "specials" list than there were on the menu. Suggestion: if you have more than four specials, print an insert to the menu, so that people can read and make a decision. Having a waiter with a heavy accent rattle off the specials at fast speed leaves you with only some snippets of information, and you may loose sales. A customer cannot be expected to remember the details of 15 specials from hearing them once. We ordered four appetizer and two main courses. They were all tasty with the exception of the lamb meatballs. (In a "Mediterranean restaurants, lamb meat balls with a Feta cheese center should not have a heavy cardamom and fenugreek seasoning and taste like Indian food, or at least some mention should be made of that). I was quite bewildered when the waiter asked "you like balls, don't you?" The dishes have been designed with a striking verticality. The chef makes an obvious point in making sure all dishes have items standing up and looking impressive. THE FOOD IS GOOD - no arguing with that. The size of the appetizers and the main courses could be worked on a bit. If you would be served appetizers and main dishes at the same time without knowing which is which, you could never tell by the amount of food. The grouper special at $29.00 had about 4oz of grouper...That is small for a dinner portion. Best bet is to have an assortment of appetizers. They cost less, are good, and you are likely to get more food. The waiter was not bad, but slightly distracted and I can't say he was great either. And what was that about "liking balls"? We will go back for sure. I have not put this on my favorite restaurant list, but maybe it will get there someday.

We are not critics, but we dine out quite a bit. We looked forward to trying this dining establishment after reading the great reviews and we were more than just disappointed. The escargots were over seasoned with tons of garlic and the soup had fake crab in it. One of our fish dishes was raw in the middle and the other was tasteless with fake crab in the middle of it, not a stuffing that they advised it had. We even tried to order a desert, but they could not even get a sorbet right! It was mango, came in a mango, but was frozen so solid that a spoon could not even break into it. There was a terrible mango flavored syrup on top. When we sent it back, they returned it a few minutes later after putting it in the microwave. Gordon Ramsey needs to come to this place and help them out. I would not try it until he does.

Who would have ever thought good French food could exist in a strip mall in Cooper City? As a recent visitor to Paris, I wouldn't call La Brochette's menu completely traditional French bistro fare: some dishes contain the words "sweet Thai chili" and "wasabi crusted". But there are some traditional dishes such as Steak Frites and Duck with Orange Sauce (which is what we ordered). I was extremely impressed with the duck: very crispy skin, tender meat. Another highlight was the croissant bread pudding, which i highly suggest. Only cons of this trip: limited menu (not kid friendly), and a bit pricey. But overall, food, wine selection, and service was excellent and i'll be a returning customer for sure.
