We went here because we were looking for an Italian restaurant that was not to far from where my 94 year old mother lived. We didn't really expect much. To our surprise it was great. Our waiter Johnny was terrific and the food was delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere was very nice. We will definitely be back.

When we arrived here, it was surprisingly empty for dinner time and this should have raised an eyebrow. Nevertheless, we were hungry and didn't feel like searching anywhere else. Started off with the bread which would have been nice had it been homemade, but I don't like to complain about complimentary items. Had the cesar salad as an appetizer and it was very good, fresh parm on top and the dressing was just right. For main course I ordered the rigatoni. First try it came out under cooked, second try it was better but still lacked enough seasoning or a sauce to make it interesting enough. My friend ordered a lemon chicken and she said it was pretty good. We had the cannoli for dessert, not recommended go for the tiramisu it looks much better. Overall, the ambiance is intriguing and this place has much potential. Hopefully it will improve and when it does I'll be back.

Searched high and low on Yelp and Urban Spoon for a place to have dinner before taking in a show at the Hard Rock. This one had mostly positive reviews, and there didn't seem to much else in the area worth considering. Our party of four enjoyed our meals. I thought the food was fresh, nicely seasoned, and well presented. If you're a vegetarian or trying to eat low-carb, get real -- this is traditional Italian food, so it's generally rich. Our waiter was very accommodating and attentive, making some substitutions and explaining ingredients. All together a very pleasant and enjoyable dinner, served at a leisurely pace. I've paid more and gotten much less. Might be a little hard to find due to its unobtrusive store front, but well worth the effort. Parking is a couple of storefronts to the west at the corner. Be sure to ask the owner about his most memorable meal: Poached salmon in Ireland. Hilarious.

It was OK but nothing to come back for. It's isn't a modern place and it isn't a real Italian place, even though the owners are Italian. The atmosphere is good to bring your grandmother or grand-grandmother out to eat and the design is out of date. The food is eatable, but nothing you would crave for. All of this 5 stars reviews are just ridiculous.

Decided to go to this restaurant based on the high marks from other patrons. I have to agree, excellent food ( fresh and tasty) excellent service. Had seafood Grigliata, special lasagna and a special steamed red snapper. Their Chianti wine is also quite good. I recommend this restaurant.

Il Posto is a new restaurant,-- in the Hollywood, Florida area. I am a "foodie' and my friend is too. We BOTH LOVED our dining experience at Il Posto. We each had soup as a starter. I had their superb Lentil soup. My friend had their excellent Minestrone soup. They both were noteworthy ways,-- to begin our dinners. We each had a Caesar Salad that had a subtle, yet tasty dressing, accompanying it. Our main course was the EXQUISITE Cod, which was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and broccoli, accompanying the fish,--- were delicious, and served in plentiful portions. Our dessert was a Beautiful ending to a Beautiful dinner. We shared their big portion of tiramisu,--which was the BEST we both had ever tasted. There was an assortment of sinfully delicious desserts from which to choose, And, on our next visit-- we may try a different dessert choice. The décor of Il Posto was up-scale, elegant and serene. The owners are a husband and wife team, who were gracious and eager to please all their patrons. The bathrooms were so impeccably clean-- that they deserve a special mention. Our waiter, Tony, was very accommodating and helped to enhance our dining experience. Il POSTO is a GEM of a restaurant. It is like eating in a Manhattan type restaurant, in the heart of Hollywood, Florida. We already have made plans to return to this restaurant next week. That in itself SPEAKS volumes!!

Great Italian. It's a hidden gem and I'm so happy to have found this place near my office. We sneak away for wine and lunch regularly. The owner is so pleasant and greats all the tables. The food is deeeelish! I've had all of their salads, they're plentyful, fresh and portions are large. It's honestly my favorite place.

A authentic Italian restaurant with a real chef. I came in with a party of 17, we were seated quickly, in an efficient, friendly manner, all drink orders were completed well, without exception each guest loved their meal. Terrific service, great food. Mangia mangia!

Really good Italian food. My Italian family loves coming here over and over again. I have come for dinner a couple times ; - One was a large family birthday party in the private room - Second time in the main room , my Italian family took clients out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. I did notice the quality food was better when the chef owner is working. The entrance of Il Posto is through the back parking lot, and walk right by the bathroom first...not so romantic. ** Make sure you park in the proper parking lot otherwise you will be towed I went to lunch recently at 1:30, we came right after the business lunches from the nearby office buildings. I was blown away by the service and food quality. I came for a Salad and loved the choices. - A whole list of 10$ and under Lunches - There are soup and salad combos, with/out bread. - The salads are Baby Greens, Spinach, Romaine and Arugula choices...I love them ALL! - Salads have added things like walnuts, goat cheese, gorgonzola cheese, parmesan, orange, red onion, shredded carrots, fresh roasted Beets, fresh olive oil vinegarette and more. - you can add on proteins like chicken, shrimp, salmon, ahi tuna steak on top for extra. My mother in law ordered the Il Posto salad which had walnuts, cucumbers, olives, gargonzola cheese, dried cranberries, shredded carrots with mixed greens and a lovely raspberry vinegarette. I was jealous, I wish I ordered That salad. I had the Roasted Beet salad. I had to ask the waiter to make sure I want getting beets from a can. He assured me they are fresh roasted. Delicious, prepared beautifully perfectly. A huge roasted beet peeled and cut in slices on the bottom of the plate, topped with baby arugula salad, goat cheese and real olive oil and pepper. I was also asked if I'de like fresh ground pepper - yes I got plenty more, I love pepper. Pretty sure there was a Whole beet on my plate and I couldn't finish it, got it to-go to make my own salad with it :) The salads are just simple , tasty, fresh food and I love that. I saw other ladies sit for lunch and split large entrees like Chicken Parmesan, looked great (I've had it before it is good here). I'll be back again, I love how fresh the food and flavor is and the service is warm and prompt.

We had a great evening in the private dining room. We were 17 people and quite noisy, but the room made it very private. The service is very attentive and the food is very good. Great space for a small gathering of 15-25 people. The rest of the restaurant is lovely also.

Service was fantastic, if you go, ask for Gene - food was amazing, meatballs were straight out of Tuscany and the veal saltimbocca was to die for - good portion size and the prices were very reasonable - all the staff and the owners were very friendly - A+, will definitely be back!!

Take it from a NY raised Italian this place makes excellent Italian food. The owners wife is the chef and the food I'd definitely made with love! I had the veal chop Milanese which was excellent! The service was great too. Parking is directly behind building not next door

Me and my husband came here for dinner, I am quite critic when it comes to italian food because I am half italian, but I was greatly surprised with this place! Staff is very kind and they attend you very well, food is delicious and a lot, and it has that unique taste of homemade food... And price is very reasonable. Don't miss the desserts, all of them homemade as well, tiramisu was heavenly!!

EXCELLENT! Highly recommended for first dates or a romanic dinner with your loved one. First of all, the owners are great! I didn't get their names but he runs the show in the dining area, and she runs the show in the kitchen. One is from North Italy and the other from South Italy and they are a riot haha. Anyway, the food.... I tried several items. Here's my quick rundown.. Fried Calamari platter: Lightly floured calamari, shrimp, and zucchini with a side of marinara sauce. It was very light and crunchy. Often fried calamari can be oily and gross at restaurants, but it's done to perfection here. Burrata and Prosciutto Platter: About 10 or 12 slices of yummy prosciutto with a big ball of cheese in the middle. Soooo good Gnocchi alla Vodka: great flavor and nice creamy texture. The sauce was outstanding Spaghetti Napoletana: OK, so my date ordered the most boring thing you can order at an italian restaurant... hahaha. But she seemed to really like it. Her comment was "usually italian restaurants are no better than a can of chef boyardee... This, on the other hand, is magnificent" Dessert ....... Tiramisu was awesome! and she had the nutella chocolate cake, and that was amazing as well. The owner was kind enough to even give us two small samples of the panna cotta with a mango syrup, also amazing. All in all, two appetizers, two entrees, two glasses of wine, two desserts, and two espressos, the bill came out to $90 plus tip. I highly recommend this place. The ambience is great, the staff is great, and there is ample parking in the back.

My daughter and I were looking for the type of really delicious Italian food I grew up eating in New Jersey. Il Poste went far beyond our expectations both in quality of food and service. We shared a yummy Caesar salad, then split the gnocchi with eggplant (melt in your mouth) and veal scaloppini (Yummy!) And a side of broccoli rabe they cooked special for us. Everything was perfect. Big portions fair prices and really warm staff and owners. Can't wait to go back.

Arguably the best restaurant in the city. Owned by Leno who acts as maître d' and his wife who handles the kitchen. Prices fluctuate between too low and reasonable. It's real Italian food prepared by real Italians with no Italian/Americano pretense. We are talking homemade handmade pasta the likes of which I haven't seen in Florida since Antonio's in Key West on Duval. This is the real deal, Hollywood is fortunate to have them here.

A friend recommended Il Posto so we tried it. Italian home style cooking! Sauce Gravy whatever it was good. You can taste the fresh tomatoes!!! I'm def coming back for the salad w avocado orange shaved parm over baby arugula. Yum & dressing was light Also loved the booths with white table cloth. So comfortable Our waiter was on point. Great job overall.

  • Zankza V.

excellent restaurant, the parking is a little strange (not their fault) and walking up is awkward you enter a side door near the rear of the building...but once you walk in it is very cozy and nice! the service is great and the food is very very very good. if you live in the area and want a great italian meal head to this place. just be careful on the parking! there is plenty of parking but the closest parking will get you towed because it belongs to another place!

Absolutely fabulous authentic Italian food. Been there many times and the food and service are always awesome. My favorite is the lamb shank.

Ok. I know I give mostly good reviews. But this time I'm serious...please come out and give this place a try. It was great! I had the fettuccini sausage with cream sauce. Awesome! The lamb shank was huge. So was the supa de pesce. Considering Hollywood is lacking great fine dining...this place is an oasis. Go now my Hollywood friends!

We went here once for an after wedding dinner for 12 people and the food and service were great as well as the wine! The prices were reasonable and the menu was enticing. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Italian food at it's finest!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere; and all at an unbeatable value! My wife and I spotted this new Italian place on Yelp and we are thrilled by the discovery. We were initially a little off-put by the location. It's not bad, and parking is good; not only at the corner of the plaza but also by the rear of the restaurant. Once you go inside, the ambiance and atmosphere improves dramatically. The service was good. We were waited by what I think is the head waiter, Tony. He was friendly, attentive, and professional. It was obvious though there were less seasoned staff on the team because Tony seems to be doing a lot of on-the-job training with the other guys. The meal started with some bread, served toasted and regular with a tomato based sauce and with olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Not bad for complimentary stuff. For appetizer, we ordered the Rollatina di Melanzane and it was awesome! Normally we go for the calamari or mussels at Italian restaurants, but the stuffed eggplant will probably be our "go to" appetizer when we come back. The portions for the entree is immense! We divided the plates in halves knowing we would never be able to finish and have room for dessert. The short rib special was phenomenal. The meat is flavorful and falling off-the-bone tender. The sauce and mashed potatoes were great at mopping everything up. The fettuccine is easily the best I've ever had. I should've asked but I'm guessing they probably make their own pasta in-house. The Panma Cotta pudding was awesome too! Creamy and not too sweet with a hint of tartness from the fresh strawberry. All of this(and a glass of Rosso Colosi), including a 20% tip, came to just $67! I can easily see this restaurant charging 50% - 100% more. (I hope they don't) Don't take my word for it. Go and compare these guys to the Italian restaurants downtown, and you'll be amazed at the value for the food, service, and atmosphere.

I'd like to make it 10 stars , The owner is The chef, The food is to die for ! You would think you were in Italy, Mozzarella is homemade fried and such a light batter huge portion, Pasta the fish everything is so delicious! You have to come and give this place a try

  • Steven K.

The restaurant has great food, great service, and a great menu for a very fair price. If the restaurant was in a better location you would be paying double the price for the same food. You don't have to trust my review, just look at what everyone else has rated this place on Yelp. Park in the rear and enter from the side. Don't worry about the location, it is not a bad area. Go eat and enjoy. This is not a quick dinner Italian joint, but a very nice dinner with great service. Get an appetizer, drink (they have a full bar) and enjoy the evening and the food.

A hidden gem! Went there based on reviews and the reviews are correct....great food, great service & great prices! The ambiance is perfect, fine dining yet casual and it seems like they've built up a good clientele in their 11 months of being open because while dining there, the owner greeted many people like family! We will definitely be going bacl often!!!

Holy Cannoli, this restaurant is AMAZING!!!! There is literally not one negative thing that I have to say about this restaurant... My husband and I decided to do an early Valentine's Day dinner on Thursday, instead of Friday, and we had no problem making a reservation for Thursday night. When we drove up to Il Posto and saw the location we were slightly concerned about how to restaurant would be. However, from the moment we stepped in and were greeted by the owner, we knew this would be an evening to remember! The BEST thing about this restaurant is that you are getting a five star restaurant experience, but you are paying about what you would to go to a typical three star restaurant. This is literally the first time that I have left a restaurant and thought to myself, "wow, I feel like I underpaid!" I think there is a little part of all of us that loves a good bargain, and this place is the best bang for your buck of ANY restaurant I have EVER been to! We started with the calamari. YUMMO! It is a great portion of a perfectly fried mixture of tender calamari, shrimps, and zucchini. There is a picture of this uploaded on Yelp. Also, their complimentary bread basket is out of bounds! You can taste the quality of their olive oil and balsamic, and the house made bruschetta is a delight for your tastebuds! Now to the main course.. I'm still dreaming about it! Literally, after eating here I really do not want to ever eat boxed pasta again! My husband had the gnocchi and I had the Fettuccine alla Norcina. I could go on and on about how fantastic they were, but I really just think you need to stop reading the review at this point and get your hiney over to Il Posto! You won't be disapointed. We finished with delightful cups of Espresso and Cappucinos and desert. (My Cappucino had a wonderful froth level going on) I've uploaded pictures of the deserts as well. We will absolutely be back, and for only having been open three months this place has it going on!!!

Not at all bad if you're an Italian food lover. Personally, I'm not that big on Italian food, but I'll never turn down something delicious...and this place has it. I tried one of their pastas and my girlfriend had their chicken parmigiana. I know, a little cliche, but if you're into that kind of food, as in, if it's your favorite-ish meal, it's always nice to try it at a legitimate place where it's cooked the way it's supposed to be. (For example, getting Sushi from a Cuban restaurant versus getting it from a Japanese restaurant...it's just not the right way.) I give this place 4 stars because of the actual service I received, not because of the good quality. The cooks knew their thing, the food was dang near top-notch, but our server was quite the opposite. When I was younger, I worked in a few restaurants, from Busser, to Host, to food runner/server...so I know that quality of the food is only a part of the experience. Given that, I still highly recommend this place if you're in to italian cuisine. I'm not really, and I was impressed. So I'm sure you will be, too.

I was pleasantly surprised with my lunch here. Everything we had was very good. I was visiting my mother who lives in the neighborhood and we went out for lunch. She said some of her friends had eaten here and they all said good things about it so we decided to try it. The outside is pretty non-descript but the interior is simple and clean. There is parking behind the restaurant. The waiter and his helper were very nice and accommodating. All the food was very good and the portions were generous. The wine list is so-so. Good solid home cooking with a bit of flair.

You start off being greeted at the door by a very pleasant staff. The wait staff (Maximo) are all very pleasant and helpful. The owner walks around checking if everything is to your liking. In the mean time his wife is in the kitchen cooking some marvelous Italian dishes. We started with a delicious appetizer of calamari, shrimp and zucchini. Then I had the "Cavatelli alla Cistranese" which was shell pasta, diced octopus and salmon, shrimp and broccoli rabe in a garlic and e.v.o.o sauce. The seafood was cooked just right and the sauce was heavenly. My wife had the snapper special with angel hair pasta and again the fish was cooked just right. My brother in law had the "Spaghetti ai frutti di mare" which he chose the black squid ink tagliolini pasta. He could not stop raving about it. It is a great place to go for a special occasion or for any occasion at all. The food is great and the service is too.

Might be one of the most amazing meals I've ever eaten!!!!! First of all the staff was so kind and the atmosphere is wonderful! Secondly the food and price is unbeatable!!!! You must get the antipasta il posto!!!! Perfect starter and soooo much food for 9.5. The gnocchi, osco bosco, and tuna tar tar were wonderful. Best gnocchi I've ever eaten and I didn't think you could beat European gnocchi but it has been done. And now we just started desert!! You will be in heaven!!!

So I wanted to try this place because I saw 4 1/2 stars and yelp is usually accurate. I have to say this is probably one of the worst places I have ever eaten at in my entire life. First the place is like a time warp and smells like old people. Wait everyone in there is really old probably why they eat here. They have no taste buds left. I ordered a special of lobster and seafood in pasta. I thought he said a 2 lb tail but I asked and he said 2 oz. They were frozen gross and reminded me of crayfish. I cannot say I have ever been to an Italian restaurant that I could not eat the food. Everything was just gross and nasty I am sorry but yelp these reviews must be fake. I have eaten at alot of places and this is by far one of the worst EVER ! 0 stars for me ! Someone that works there must have uploaded the pictures because my meal doesn't look like the pictures they have on yelp ! It looks like slop on a plate, and tasted like dog food. Although my dogs food is not even frozen !

Excellent meal - Exceptional service. Our waiter Darrel was polite and caring, made excellent recommendations and his helper-the great "kid from here" was adorable. The food was spectacular and very reasonably priced. Will be back many times. Welcome to the neighborhood and happy 1st year anniversary!

Wow! What a hidden gem this restaurant turned out to be. We tried it on a lark and the experience was wonderful. The food and service are excellent, and at very reasonable prices. We started with the polenta and a caprese salad - both were fresh, delicious and generous. For our main dish we had the Grigliata Mista - essentially a mixed seafood dish with olive oil and lemon. One word: amazing! the dish came with grilled (not breaded) calamari, which was tender and delicious - better than any calamari I've ever had, and included grilled salmon, and grilled cod and tuna tartar, with sides. All I can say is: If you want some *good* Italian food then this place is *worth* driving to visit. You will not be disappointed.

We went here to Il Posto tonight on the corner of 46th and Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood. The food was the freshest we have eaten in a long time and very delicious. Everything was outstanding including coffee and dessert. Amazing and reasonable prices. The wait staff are the very best. I would leve to come back here 365 days a week. They treat you like family. Stay away from downtown Hollywood near Young Circle and all those touristy traps and come here. Plenty of free parking and you will have an amazing dining experience.

Gotta say, this is THE best Italian (and more) food I've had in south Florida.....and I've been to many. Truly awesome. We had the one of the specials which was a delicious ny strip sliced nicely on a bed of arugula and Parmesan. Perfectly cooked and tender. The potato au gratin and green Beans, spectacular as well. We also had a pasta dish w meat/sausage which was excellent. Perfectly prepared aldente. No dipping this pasta in hot water to serve warm. The owners were very kind, friendly Italians.....especially the wife...who was the chef. She takes pride in her creations as she should. All homemade. Go there!! You will not be disappointed.

Our 2nd visit was not a good as the first. Our waiter was awful, the food took forever to come out. My personal opinion: 1. Make fresh bread to serve in the bread baskets. Stale bread and crackers from Publix is disappointing at best. 2. Make your own meatballs. The frozen ones are awful. 3. Give a side a marinara with the calamari. Ours was awful...over fried and tough. 4. White wine is best served COLD. Mine was barely chilled.

Every dish we had in our party of 8 was excellent. Manuela is such a wonderful chef. They sold their business in Lakeland and moved to Hollywood. When we heard they opened a new restaurant we knew when we were in the area we would have to visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. You won't go wrong on deserts either, but our favorite was torta di lemoncello. It is light and full of flavor. I would give them more stars if available. I certainly hope I can go again.

Finally, a family owned restaurant in Hollywood Hills that uses tablecloths and can boast excellent service and great food! We were treated like royalty by the wait staff. The food was great, we had the eggplant appetizer, spinach salad, mahi, and chicken, but wasn't crazy about the polenta. The dessert cart had seen better days, but our waiter assured us the desserts were better than they looked on the cart. Boy was he right! We ordered the chocolate mousse and obsessed over every bite. We will definitely return and recommend to friends.

very dissapointed primarily with the attitude of the owner and the wait staff. have been there 2 times now. new years eve was a disaster, attempted to go tonight for valentines Day, and because we did not make a reservation we were shunned by the owner and the hostess. the resturant has lots of room, and we were willing to sit at the bar and wait for a table. we were told there will be no tables until after 9 pm. we had arrived at 7 pm. there is no way all of the tables were booked for 2 hours. The owner's attitude will kill this place, even with good food. we have seen many resturants come and go In this location, they will be the next to fall, if the attitude doesn't chsnge. wound up at a great place in dania beach, the tuscan Caffè. they only have 8 tables, we walked in without a reservation, the place was packed, they greeted us very politely, and got us a table very timely. The food was exceptional! Attitude made all of the difference.

This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in south Florida. My boyfriend is Italian and from the south region which is their specialty ! We had the eggplant which was out of this world! I had the grouper and my boyfriend had the veal. He loved it! We had the Tuscan wine and it was fabulous ! The owner was friendly and kept checking in. It's close to where we live and we can't wait to go back!

As a former owner of an Italian restaurant in California, I am completely impressed!!! Pasta was cooked perfectly and ingredients are top quality. Owners are hands on and care about every dish they prepare, and it shows. I understand why they are getting great reviews from people who know good food. As a restaurateur, I can tell you the prices are not just reasonable, they are low for what you get.

Best restaurant in Hollywood. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. My husband always gets the stuffed pork chop but I like to try something new each time we have gone there. There are very few restaurants this caliber in Hollywood. I use Yelp to help decide where to eat many times.... This place is a winner.

I am always looking for a great Italian place to eat. This is no ordinary Italian restaurant because the look and feel makes you think you are in southern Italy. The service is above and beyond. The server brings you water and 4 different homemade breads crackers and stick with olive oil on a dish. I ordered an eggplant Parmigiana and my wife had the veal. First came the very colorful green salad with homemade dressing. Then the meal you can tell from the look and taste that these dishes are cooked to order using fresh ingredients. I clean the plate with the last piece of bread. I was full but then they mention dessert that is home made and fresh. WOW is all I can say the tiramisu and the pana cote was heaven on a dish. I will be coming here often. I will be recommending this place from the hotel to all the guest who check in, this is a winner you will not regret coming.

Simply put, this is the best meal I've had in quite a long time, Italian or otherwise. I can't wait to go back. It's going to be tough to order, though. You see, the pasta plate I ordered (tortelloni chicken aurora) was so delicious that I'd love to have it again. Yet I also want to try something else. Oh, and the tiramesu - heavenly. It's a great experience to truly enjoy a meal.

The place is okay, nothing to write home about, typical of a place in Hollywood,, FL, nothing fancy or gourmet style cooking. Went there for lunch to eat the antipasto they display online and on Yelp, only to find out they only serve it for dinner. The place is very loud and the service not so great.

Amazing good, great service, and beautiful atmosphere! It may not look like much from the outside but once youre inside you're in for a treat! The food is authentic Italian, the owners are from Italy! The wife is the head chef and the husband runs the floor! He will go up to you and chat and ask about the food etc.! Definitely must go to!

A great addition for Hollywood. Authentic Italian food, fresh fish and pasta. Will definitely go back whenever I'm in South Florida. It is easy to pass this place by, but there is ample parking in the back. Wish I had room for dessert, maybe next time.

We loved Il Posto and can't wait to go back to this new local Hollywood establishment. We were a party of 4 and we all felt the same way. The food was fresh and authentic. Our waiter was excellent. Between the four of us we had an eggplant dish, lobster ravioli, chicken parm (not on the menu but they made it special) and a fried calamari appetizer that was among the best I've ever had. All the pasta we ate was homemade and cooked perfectly. It's great to know that we now have a great authentic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood.

By far the best restaurant west of downtown Hollywood. Excellent, fresh, gourmet Italian. Lunch menu items mainly less than $10, also include salad and fresh bread!

Service was fantastic, if you go, ask for Gene - food was amazing, meatballs were straight out of Tuscany and the veal saltimbocca was to die for - good portion size and the prices were very reasonable - all the staff and the owners were very friendly - A+, will definitely be back!!

I'm def coming back for the salad w avocado orange shaved parm over baby arugula. Yum & dressing was light Also loved the booths with white table cloth. So comfortable Our waiter was on point. Great job overall.

excellent restaurant, the parking is a little strange (not their fault) and walking up is awkward you enter a side door near the rear of the building...but once you walk in it is very cozy and nice! the service is great and the food is very very very good. if you live in the area and want a great italian meal head to this place. just be careful on the parking! there is plenty of parking but the closest parking will get you towed because it belongs to another place!

I'd like to make it 10 stars , The owner is The chef, The food is to die for ! You would think you were in Italy, Mozzarella is homemade fried and such a light batter huge portion, Pasta the fish everything is so delicious! You have to come and give this place a try

Hilarious.

The place is okay, nothing to write home about, typical of a place in Hollywood,, FL, nothing fancy or gourmet style cooking. Went there for lunch to eat the antipasto they display online and on Yelp, only to find out they only serve it for dinner. The place is very loud and the service not so great.

Hands down the best Italian place in south Florida. Pasta is homemade and delicious. The service and food are top notch. Went twice in one week. Will become a regular there.

Hilarious.

  • Julia R.

This is the real deal, Hollywood is fortunate to have them here.

excellent restaurant, the parking is a little strange (not their fault) and walking up is awkward you enter a side door near the rear of the building...but once you walk in it is very cozy and nice! the service is great and the food is very very very good. if you live in the area and want a great italian meal head to this place. just be careful on the parking! there is plenty of parking but the closest parking will get you towed because it belongs to another place!

My friends took me here for my birthday dinner last night. What a WONDERFUL RESTAURANT. Great ambience, great service, easy parking, GREAT FOOD, fantastic deserts too. Everyone was wonderful and very helpful especially our waiter Troy he was fantastic, a great asset to the restaurant. Very big portions, I cannot wait to go back this coming week.

While food here is amazing, service at times is lacking. Nothing profoundly bad but few glitches here and there. Everything I tried here was really good. Owners speak Italian

Gave Il Posto another chance based on the good reviews. Still no significant change. Not sure what all the rave is about. Marginal food for a stiff price.

Absolutely delicious! Hollywood needed a fine authentic Italian restaurant. Service was very accommodating. Waiter Tony's recommendations were spot on. Owner Lino was on the floor and very social with patrons. Will definitely be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
