Buleria, is a small, cute restaurant on the corner of Dixie and Hollywood Boulevard. Here you can enjoy an nice meal al fresco. On the weekend they even feature a flamenco show. But what about the food? I began with an appetizer of various meats and cheese. The tastes went beyond my expectations! The quality was on par with what you would expect from actually being overseas in an Italian or Spanish restaurant. For my main course I obviously needed to try the paella. My only complaint here was that the shell fish had no flavor. The clams and mussels just tasted watery and did not add anything to the dish. The rest of the paella, however, was terrific. The flavor of the rice was delicious. My favorite part of it was that there were endless chunks of calamari throughout the rice; even down to the final bites. For an appetizer I had the Tabla Iberica which is a sampler assortment of various meats and cheese. The lightness and flavors were extraordinary. This is a perfect dish to have with a glass of wine. I look forward to coming back soon!

They were out of 3 different dishes we tried to order, so we were off to a bit of a bad start. Spanish omelette was ok. Meatballs seemed like the frozen kind that come 100 in a bag at Restaurant Depot. Garbanzo with chorizo was uneventful. The chorizo also seemed like it was frozen. Maybe we were a little pre-disposed to think our food was previously frozen since we kept hearing the microwave beeping in the kitchen. Shrimp with garlic and oil was good, but the shrimp on the kebob was tough.

I went to this place with livingsocial deal. When we walked in, we saw the sign on the wall saying if you order a drink, you get a plate of tapas during happy hour. While we sat and showed the voucher to the server and asked about the happy hour deal, she said yes but the plate was small. We never see THAT plate. Then, I got a reply from this place through livingsocial saying that I couldn't combine the promotions. The server said yes because according to the place, we didn't give her the voucher until it's time to pay. THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! We gave the server the voucher when we sat at the table. The server never came to us explaining about her confusion. I can't believe this place twisted the story around and not telling the truth. That shows what kind of place this is. Even with the discount deals, NEVER AGAIN!! By the way, if you go, DO NOT ORDER SANGRIA ! IT TASTES WATER DOWN. I never wrote this kind of negative comment before but the reply from this place really made me upset.

Delicious platters of Spanish cheeses and cured meats, including Serrano ham, chorizo, salchichón, and lomo. The seafood platter was exquisite as well! Well priced Spanish wine.

I made a reservation for this restaurant on Open Table for a dinner celebration for mine and my friend's birthday. We later realize that another friend had also made a reservation for us. I called the restaurant the afternoon before we were scheduled to come in to re-confirm the reservation and let them know to cancel one of them. I reconfirmed the time and the number of people with the owner. Traffic and parking was horrible in downtown Hollywood. We arrived at 8:11 PM and were told that they had just given away our table. Our reservation was for 8 PM and apparently they only hold reservations for 5 minutes. I was not aware of this and did not think it would be an issue as I had personally called to confirm it the day before and the owner had my cell phone number. I understand not wanting to hold such a large table in the news business if we were not going to show up but I think giving away our table after such a short amount of time, especially when we had spoken the day before and they did not call me to see if we were coming, is a bit harsh. When I asked to speak to the owner the gentleman told me he wasn't there and that he was the manager. He was very unapologetic and almost seemed mad at us. He gave us two small tables outside which barely seated half of our group on a very hot and humid night. We were left in a bind trying to find a restaurant that would accommodate 12 people on a Saturday night on very short notice. Needless to say, that was the last thing I wanted to deal with when we were all out to celebrate birthdays! On top of all that they reported our group as a no-show to o Open Table, which could negatively affect my account with them. Would definitely NOT recommend this place. The whole situation was handled very poorly.

5 stars for the flamenco dancers, 5 stars for the food but 2 stars for the server we had. He seemed annoyed when we asked for more food. He did not smile very much as though we where an inconvenience. Other than this, we will be coming back soon!

We have been there twice for paella. Decided to give them a second chance when many of the paella ingredients were overlooked the first time. No change the second time. We still have a Groupon for them so we will give the tapas a try the next time.

Ambiance was great, they had flamenco dancers and music and that made a great time. Food is ok nothing to go crazy about, service was less than par, we had 5 and 4 ordered the paella and one the chicken, paella is always a long wait, and when it came the chicken entree for my husband was forgotten. I would come back here to eat

So far so good. We made a reservation and our table was waiting for us. The pulpo a la gallega was exquisite, so it were the albondigas, gambas and chorizo. To finish all an aromatic coffee and a crema Catalana complemented this delicious meal. My wife enjoyed every bite and so I did.

I love tapas. I was really hoping to find authentic Spanish restaurant in my visit to ft lauderdale. My friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed. Really good tapas. I'll try the paella next time. I recommend this place who loves Spanish food!

I really enjoyed my time here. While I can say the Groupon does help with the cost of the meal...it may be worth a trip even without due to its nice environment. Spanish all the way through, quiet, but not too quiet. The tapas we received were excellent, the Lobster Bisque is awesome, but the Muscles tapas was my favorite. The area is new to me and I don't know what to make of the area!

Had a wonderful experience at Buleria from all aspects - The price was right, food was delicious, service was efficient and very friendly/warm, and the guitar player and Flamingo dancer (Thursday night) were terrific. We had the red sangria and 4 tapas: an eggplant gratin, artichokes w/ Serrano ham, cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, and the beef kabob. It was enough food for the two of us and we had trouble picking out our favorite. The restaurant is small and intimate and we thought the overall atmosphere was really terrific. Although we were in the area for several nights, this was our only opportunity to attend Buleria, but we wish that we would have been able to return on a Saturday to enjoy the larger show. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend!!

The wine list and Tapas Bar quite good, and the decor was lovely. The only problem, a serious problem, was the service. our party of ten had considerable difficulty getting our orders put in, with getting them served, and even with such simple issues as getting bread for the table. The waiter seems very inexperienced and overwhelmed. And was quite snappish to us despite our considerable patience. Would never go back because of the terrible service.

We went tonight to this restaurant to celebrate the birthday of my father in law. We were a party of 15 people. We made reservations for 8:30PM, everyone arrived on time except for 3 people. Before the 3 people arrived everyone was having drinks and tapas, which by the way, the tapas were great. I ordered the tortilla espanola, hongos al aji and the dates wrapped in bacon. Food was very good. My complaint is the service. Since 3 of the members of our party had not arrived yet, two of the waiters would come up to us letting us know that if the three members would not arrive soon they would need to take the extra table which by the way two of our guests were sitting on half of that table so i don't understand how they would manage that. The issue is the way they would say it, not with a good attitude. Who does that though, who goes up to clients of a restaurant and say they would need to remove that table if your guest did not arrive soon. Mind you, our guest were on their way and we were all sitting there eating and drinking. If we had not ordered anything and were just sitting there drinking water i kind of understand but that is not the way to treat your customers. The waiters also kept coming up to us forcing us to order food. Dude, im here watching your show, spending time with my family having drinks, eating tapas why are you rushing me? If this is an issue then they need to put a sign in the front entrance saying time is an issue eat fast? Anyways, the food and the music and dancers are great but they need to really correct the servers. Maybe service would be better if its a smaller party or maybe it was just one of those days.

Awesome night at buleria. Food is amazing we got the Paella velenciana and tapas ( sangria and lots of beer ) at a very reasonable price. Service is great and I meant it. Juan was our server he was great ( little English but beautiful Spanish accent ) really took care of us. Inside is very clean, but little tight, we sat outside and was great ( we might made ppl jealous ) definitely we will be coming back for more. Hey Juan Gracias por tan buen servicio. Danny & Michael

An Ibero-star. Excellent dishes and friendly waitstaff made for a fine gathering. Tapas dishes of note included the tuna stuffed pimentos, eggplant, mussels, beef, and bacon wrapped dates preceded by the wonderful Tabla Iberico. Musical accompaniment from a Flamenco singer guitarist, affordable Rioja, and flavorful sangria blanca added up to a nice afternoon. Oh, and the creme Catalana (brulee if you wish) and almond cake provided a most happy (foodie) ending. Next time we will have the anchovies, chorizo, and Jerez. Ole.

This is the only place I know that has great paella in the area. I really wish it was closer to where I live! We always get the seafood paella for two which is big enough for 3 people! The rice is soaked with the flavor of fresh seafood, and it is moist and flavorful! It takes about half an hour to make so we usually enjoy some tapas before. My favorite ones are "garbanzos con chorizo" and "patatas ali oli". The restaurant is tiny so make sure you make a reservation before you go!

If I could give this place fewer stars I would. There was a complete lack of service from beginning to the miserable three-hour end! Two waiters rushed through the place and never once asked to take our drink orders (water? HA! fat chance) Finally, after more than 45 minutes we got sangria, which we learned because we had to walk to the bar area to retrieve more ourselves, came pre made from a bottle. Starving, we begged for bread, which eventually came after begging about three more times. We had to BEG our annoyed waiter to order. He sold us on the more expensive fish dish which he claimed to be mahi - but turned out to be the tiniest portion even of Swai (cheap asian catfish we presume) The unimpressive capresa salad consisted of slabs of tomato and salted mozzarella, not even the fresh variety. We did order other tapas but they simply never came. The waiters, manager, etc., never once approached us to apologize or offer us anything in consideration of our miserable experience. In fact, when my husband, a soft-spoken guy who never complains, went to speak to the manager - his response was, "What do you want me to do?" Half of our party cancelled their orders as they would probably never have come anyway. I'll conclude my review here as I don't want to waste another disappointing minute thinking about this place.

stay with the tapas avoid the Paella. The tapas are wonderful. the Valencia Paella is pedestrian at best. Did not take the 45 minutes came the second the tapas were done!

This place is AMAZING! If I could give it more stars I would. The service, food, and entertainment are all great! We had the Garbanzos con Chorizo, Gambas al Ajillo, Pimientos de Piquillo rellenos de atum, Cazerola de Pescado, and Picada de Carnes (large enough for 3 people). We also had the sangria. I must say everything was super amazing!!! We will definitely eat here again!

Free parking in Hollywood after 8:00 pm is the best thing about this or any other restaurant on the strip in Hollywood, but let's talk about the food, ambiance etc. I had a very good lobster bisque which one might say, "It's a wee bit pricey.", however, it's filled with tiny lobster bits. They throw paprika, parsley and sadly a stream of some kind of oil on top. It is screaming out for a high quality sherry not grease. Their Spanish cheese and meat plate is good, but the cheese is wafer thin and so are the cold cuts, pity. The place is attractive but not like any tappas bar I've been to in Madrid. The bar is teeny and the tables are set so they can all get a good view of the entertainment. They have a sort of a stage where various acts are performed. This is a big mistake because nearby one can hear the ear deafening sound of some kind of latin music coming from the Peruvian restaurant nearby. They would be well served to keep the door closed and have a classical guitarist playing soft, romantic melodies.

Great tapas, great service. We so enjoyed the chick peas with sausage, the eggplant and the artichoke. The pork was a little dry. Portions were good and for the three of us five plates was enough. Our waiter was so very nice. the paella looked great, would like to return and try it.

I Read the glowing reviews for this place but obviously none of these people have ever eaten in a halfway decent restaurant, let alone a real Spanish Tapas place. We started off with the large meat and cheese plate. At $18, I expected more. There couldn't have been more than $3 worth of product on the plate. I did notice that a larger table than our 2 top also ordered the same plate and there was substantially more food on their plate. Food was coming out of the kitchen at a blazing pace yet the only noise coming from the kitchen was an ominous *BEEP *. Upon first taste of the first dish, I knew my fears were spot on. Uggghhh. Luckily for them, we were tired, hungry and already halfway through the meal. I choose restaurants very carefully to avoid meals just like this. The good thing is, restaurants like this don't last. Even if the food had been of better quality, the portion size and prices were a tad on the pricy side.

My husband and I went to have Tapas at Buleria. At first we wanted to go for Paella but then decided for Tapas since we didn't want to have a 45 minute wait. We used a Groupon voucher. We hade a half pitcher of red sangria which was very good and was enough for 4 glasses of wine. Then we ordered the Chitarras al Jerez, the Garbanzos firtos con chorizo, the Spanish Tortilla and Gambas al Ajillo. The tortilla was a bit dry and needed a bit of Zing to it. But the other 3 plates were delicious. So much so that even though that was more than enough food, we ordered another round of the garbanzos and the chitarras which were divine. The place is very small but the staff is so so nice. And it quickly filled up. We then had a show of Guitar, and Flamenco dancers which were excellent! Definitely recommend it for a nice Friday or Saturday casual dinner.

I went here twice. First time, I had a reservation and the waitress basically let us walk out because "friends" of the owner walked in just before and sat down at the last table. They had to ask us to come back in. We did and the entertainment and food was very good. Second time I went was not so good. The food was still great, except that two of my tapas had hair in the food. The women cooking came out and said she never had hair in the food because she always wears her hair up...we saw her in the kitchen with her hair down. Liar. Then, they left those two tapas on the bill and I had to tell them to take them off...not good. Don't think I'll be going back. If you go, watch out for hair in the food!

Good food and an excellent time! We'd been avoiding this place for some reason. Maybe because it was always so loud, but one day we decided to go and I am glad we did. We needed to wait for a table because it was a Saturday, but there are many places to hang out on the Boulevard in the meantime. A server called us when the table was ready. When we went in there was a happy flamenco performance going on. It may get a little loud, but it is a lot of fun because before you know it you are a part of that noise, which is music to your ears quite literally! The performers involve the guests, someone may come and give you big sips of wine, and you are pretty much all a part of one big party. The service is quite attentive. The establishment celebrated one of the server's birthdays the night we were there. We ordered an artichoke and ham pasta which was my favorite. We got some chorizo sausage dish which was a tad too salty for me, but the chorizo itself was delicious. We also ordered the potato bravas that were quite nice. We will be going here again.

First time to Buleria's referred from a friend who also lives in Hollywood. Surprisingly, it was so good! Tapas were served in small dishes (similiar to dim sum portions) and just right. Since it was late close to 8:30pm we only ordered the artichoke and shrimp on skewer. The restaurant felt like a small family restaurant in a village in Spain like 10-12 tables of four with a stage for flamenco performances. The owner suggested house wine from Spain and the wine paired with the tapas so well. Did I mention we had creme brulee for dessert? Yummy to top off a dinner date with my hubby. Will be a regular now.

Food is tasty but ok compared to other Tapas restaurants I've been to in Miami. Price are pretty high for the amount of food you get. Seriously, $7 for a plate sauteed mushrooms? The Garbanzos con Chorizo was delicious but you only get 4 small pieces of chorizo for also $7.50. Sangria tasted watered down. Don't be surprised after you've spent $60 and you walk out not feeling full. Service: Waiters were nice but not attentive enough. Asked for glass of water and looked at him several times after I asked and never got it and never asked us if we were interested in dessert. Also had to ask 2ce for our bill. Ambiance: Small, cute, warm, inviting and nicely decorated with beautiful pictures of flamenco dancers. Wouldn't call this place kid friendly but they accommodate. Would definitely go back,... if there was a Groupon available!

Really like this place! I felt like I was back in Spain! Live guitar player, great tapas and great drink selection. Our server was great! A little pricey but we had a great date night! The stuffed squid cooked in its own ink was a little TOO adventurous for me, but try the tortilla (Spanish omelet), the artichokes, and the garbanzos with chorizo. The plates are not too small but perfect for sharing. Plus, the location is nice and you can have a romantic walk around downtown Hollywood after.

warm service, wonderful food. my husband and i were passing through town and wanted good food (after a handful of disappointing meals on the road) and we really enjoyed dinner here. if one can judge the quality of a spanish restaurant by its sangria, this place is a win. white sangria is my go-to and many places make theirs too sweet like juice, the white sangria at buleria has a fantastic balance of fruity sweetness and a nice refreshing white wine. the imported spanish beer recommended to my husband was also wonderfully enjoyed. we ordered 4 tapas: artichoke with serrano ham, potato with garlic mayo, basque chorizo, and clams with spanish marinara. everything was good, though nothing spectacular to make anything "exceptional". the chorizo dish was very salty, we were only able to eat it by pairing it with the other dishes and the complimentary bread (which was probably one of the best table breads i've ever had). the flan we had for dessert was rich, dense, and creamy, though slightly smaller than expected. we came on a monday night, so it was a bit quiet. wish we could've been here on a weekend night, i'm sure the flamenco dancers really make a fun and lively dining experience!

Everything was great. Food was delicious and atmosphere was fun and exciting. We had the Garbanzos, Mussels and Dates all were fantastic and fresh. The Flamenco Dancers put on a great show and kept your attention. Highly recommend this place if you have friends from out of town or if you would like something really different and tasty.

Small place, good show, VERY GOOD food. I was surprised, because as a rule, places with a show don't care much about the food, as my experience has been. The chef (owner), a very nice lady came to our table and others to find out how our food was...a very nice gesture. Tasty, great prices, nice people. Very good experience. I am going back.

Just had a tapas dinner with my husband and daughters here. Being from Spain myself, I've been looking for a great tapas place to enjoy some authentic Spanish food. Well I've found my place!!! The food was truly amazing and delicious and the sangria was great! The waiter was really nice and the cook ( I'm guessing she's the owner) came out to say hello to us and was veryyyy sweet!! We will definitely go back there again next week!!! Amazing tapas restaurant!

I think most of these reviews are really harsh. I too went to Buleria with a Living Social deal, and I was very satisfied. We got a carafe of sangria, which ended up holding four glasses total. We ordered four tapas plates, which included tuna stuffed peppers, meatballs and chicken skewers. Everything we had was really tasty, but we stayed away from the more "classic" Spanish dishes, because I'm not a big fan. All in all, I had a really enjoyable time, and I thought the Living Social deal was a really good value.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The food was absolutely amazing. Three of us shared 4 tapas dishes, and it was plenty to fill us up. The paella from the next table was pretty tempting, so I'll have to find some time for another visit to try it. My favorite part you ask?? The live entertainment. I'm not sure if there are certain nights where they offer it, but the live music and the flamenco dancer were the right ingredient to bump my experience from good to fabulous. I definitely recommend this place. It's a nice intimate spot for a first or second date!

Just got home from Buleria and had to write this review while the experience was still fresh in my mind. We loved this place on every level. I cannot imagine why there are so many harsh reviews - except that perhaps the restaurant hadn't yet gotten their act together when some of those were written. But based on our experience tonight, they've got it together now. The restaurant is small, cozy and actually feels like you're relaxing in a little cafe in Spain. As a couple other (positive) reviewers suggested, the experience is distinctly European. We shared 3 tapas dishes (white anchovies, gambas al ajillo and albondigas), and a Tabla Espan~ola (selection of cheese and cured meats). Everything was delicious! And the sangria, as others here reported, is excellent! As this was a Friday night, there was entertainment - also excellent. A very good Spanish guitarist/singer and a terrific male flamenco dancer. Both very accomplished and entertaining. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable - especially considering there's such good entertainment. The whole experience was outstanding. We will definitely be back, many times, and will tell everyone we know to give this place a try. Highly recommended.

Food was absolutely delicious . Service I felt like I am home again. Wine was not the greatest, but we had it all anyway. Desert was out of this world. Musicians and a dancer were excellent. It was around a $100 dinner, worth every penny. We had a lot of food, 3 tapas, bottle of wine, and we couldn't even come close to finishing paella and took home most of it. We will deffinitely come back, it was our first time.

I visited this spot after getting a Living Social voucher for it. Looking at some of the reviews from people who did the same thing, I see that I was not alone in being disappointed. It was definitely false advertising and ultimately they're just shooting themselves in the foot by doing that--the point of Living Social is to attract new customers, and if you make them feel ripped off the first time they come to your establishment, they're not likely to return (or write you positive reviews, for that matter). I was already slightly disappointed from the get-go at the MUCH reduced menu we were given to order off of. This was very different from my experiences at other restaurants or bars with Living Social vouchers, where I was given for example a $30 credit on whatever I chose to order. In fact, because of my experience at Buleria, I will not buy vouchers for restaurants that promise a certain number of dishes, etc. Anyway, the menu was very small, but I was willing to live with that. My friends and I figured out 4 dishes we were all willing to eat. When they came out, the portions were minuscule...I mean, really small. Really? I know it's tapas, but who pays $9 for two tiny pieces of toast (think a quarter of a normal slice of bread) with some cheese melted on top? So my only possible conclusion would have to be that either we were getting shortchanged because of our vouchers, or that their menu is just incredibly overpriced. The sangria was drinkable in my opinion, but the "carafe" was very small, so we needed to order a bottle of wine after one glass each...which I was even OK with. The wine selection was not very extensive and they didn't even have many actual Spanish wines. Since we felt like we'd eaten nothing after the tiny tapas the voucher got us, we ordered two more tapas off the regular menu. They were out of the one thing I really wanted, so we ordered some grilled asparagus and a tortilla. The tortilla was just OK, but I could make a better one at home. The asparagus wasn't bad--it was the best thing I had there that night--but again, nothing to write home about. BUT the portions seemed to be the right size when we ordered off the regular menu, which confirms the view that they were just giving miniature portions to Living Social customers...false advertising. The music was there, it was fine, but the show wasn't anything spectacular, either. I have to say that you can find a MUCH better flamenco show (a real show with costumes and all), MUCH better Spanish tapas and a MUCH better wine selection down the street at La Barraca. Next time I want tapas in Hollywood, I'll be going back there.

I bought a living social coupon which brought me to this cute quaint little restaurant and I loved it!! They r no longer giving u a limited menu if they did that before. You can order anything off the menu. My cousin and I shared a pitcher of red sangria and 4 -5 tapas. They were all delicious and the server was great! Next time I go back I'm getting the paella!!

    (3)
  • Keren A.

Adi, I totally agree with you!!! We got jipped through the whole Living social thing, though no fault of theirs... I feel these people totally misinterpreted themselves to living Social. I mean, I felt like the portions were not realistic. Just to prove my point, I went ahead and ordered a duplicate portion of the one from the Living social menu versus the other menu and it was 3 times the size of the Petri dish first offered. I thought that was bogus, and take it from someone whose purchased from LS before, this was complete false advertising from the Restaurant. I ordered a glass of wine, because the Sangria was gross, and it took them over half an hour to bring me a glass of Chardonnay, because it wasn't chilled??? What kind of a restaurant doesn't have chilled white wine?? Despite the other additional tapas we ordered not being bad (but not being great either), we will definitely not be going back!!!

Amazing food and service. We took the owner's advice to try the chorizo al horno con Jerez - and it was amazing! For dinner, ordered seafood paella (allow 45 mins) but it was worth the wait! Also - best sangria I've had anywhere, hands down. Staff was wonderful. Will be back for sure!

I love this place.. originally went on a dining coupon and were treated ( in a large group) like we were old friends.. this family run restaurant serves excellent food, the owners even gave us a dessert comped as it was someones birthday. Sangria pitchers are excellent.. very accommodating for vegetarians like myself as well.. excellent wine pairing suggestions, great prices..It's nice to see a small family run business do well.. I absolutely disagree with the negative reviews here.. there are some new live music nights as well.. it's a great new local business I am happy to support.. the menu is very authentic ( I lived in Spain for many years) and very affordable, with no annoying expensive flamenco floor show just the feel of a real tapas restaurant/ bar in Spain the way the Spaniards do it.. and food to die for!

We bought the Living Social deal and enjoyed a unique and memorable 3-generation family outing to Buleria. I must say it was difficult to reach the restaurant by phone: constant busy signal or voice mail. Better communication would be helpful. However we enjoyed the tiny but nicely decorated corner restaurant. Limited menu with overpriced 'tapas'; we tried about 6 different tapas and the 'albondigas' (meatballs) were delicious. The deal included a pitcher of sangria, which was perfectly refreshing. The live flamenco 'tablao' capped off the evening. The guitarrist embodied the gypsy feel and sound of Spain's most famous music; passionate, intense, enchanting. The dancer captivated with whirls and stomps. We will definitely be going again, at least for the tablao. OLE!

We came here one Saturday and had the most amazing Paella Valenciana and caught a really fun flamenco show. The dancers were great and the food was delicious. Service was really friendly too. It was one of the dancer's birthday, and they even gave us some cake towards the end of the night. It's a really fun place. Don't come here if you're in a rush if you want the paella, bc it's made from scratch (aways a good thing). Perfect place if you want wine and tapas as well; the tapas were delicious and there's lots of variety. Love this place.

This restaurant, should not even be called that. Firstly, there is no full menu, only tapas. The entertainment was horrid guy playing a guitar and the girl who should have been dancing flamenco, was instead dancing salsa??? The service was disastrous, 2 people working the whole place on a saturday night?? The decor was pathetic, a basement with some ikea furniture, is that even to code? Ikea's furniture us not commercial grade, and the one sofa in there was all torn. It was pretty obvious started off with very little capital, and by the looks of it, they will end with even less than they began with. Lastly, the 2 staff members looked like they walked off the beach and stumbled into work, jeans and a T-shirt???

Like a few other Yelpers, my wife and I visited Buleria with a recent Living Social offer. We had a very mixed experience and probably will not return. The service was friendly but slow. There were only two people managing the tables and the bar. We had a reservation and was happy to sit directly opposite the stage. Unfortunately, the live music & dancing did not happen. Some members of the band must've no-showed. The lady, whom I assumed was the group leader, tried to recruit some patrons for karaoke without success. We rounded our meal with two tapas, in addition to the four based on the Living Social certificate. The total, before the discount, with 2 pitchers of Sangria and a soda was just over $70. The reality is this: Buleria competes directly with La Barraca, which is a local favorite few blocks away. There's just no room for these guys to make mistakes. With faster service & live entertainment, it would've been a fantastic deal especially with the Living Social certificate. I just can't imagine spending $70+ to repeat our experience.

This restaurant sits at the end of a street full of restaurants so a lot of customers may get filtered out. The smaller crowd notwithstanding, the food is excellent and the service is prompt and good. It is our favorites place to have tapas (we've been there 4 times in the past 5 months). On weekends, there is live music and flamenco dancers.

I came here recently for my cousins birthday, her boyfriend knows the owner and I think they have done a fabulous job with the place. This place just recently opened up and I think it's the new hit spot in Hollywood. Not only do they have great wine and sangria to choose from but they have a great Tapas Menu. We had from the Serrano Ham and Cheese to these little chorrizo and bread. The live music and dancers they had were not only entertaining but very GOOD! The singer was fabulous and the dancer was unstoppable. The place was busy, so if you plan on coming, come early to get a table. I will be definitely going back to this place in the future. xo, kristin nicole

I read all the reviews. And we are all harsh critics. But as a cafe owner and chef myself, let me explain: two guys working on Saturday? Yes, get used to it. It's a European tradition, and if you have been to Brussels lately, two for such a tiny place is a lot. We are spoiled by cheap (2 bucks an hour) labor in the states. To the tapas issue - this is a Spanish restaurant so they can choose to do only tapas, if they want. Again, in the states we are spoiled that everything should be our way. Tapas is best thing that could happen to south Florida. We should eat less anyways. Back to the food, I had a great jamon Serrano and chorizo sandwich for lunch: bread was yummy, loads of delicious and freshly sliced ham, great attention (well I was the only one here). Note to the owners: please change the ripped up couch cover; turn off disco lights during the day; silence the TV and give me some music. Guys you are great, good luck to you. Food is great - keep it up! Btw, I did try dinner menu like baby octopus, chorizo and Spanish tortilla. All were amazing. Changing my rating to 5 stars.

Great food at reasonable prices! The tapas menu is extensive including a wide variety of typical Spanish dishes, for example, garbanzos con chorizo (7.50$), chistorras (8.50$), chorizo al jerez (8.50$), pulpo a la gallega (9.50$), montaditos ($ varies), boquerones en vinagreta (9.50$), tabla de quesos and more. For entree, the paella Valenciana (32$ for 2) was a delicious good portion of yellow rice with seafood, chicken, Spanish sausage, and veggies. Overall, the food was very tasty and well prepared. Portions were also good for the prices. Service was very slow but friendly. The live complimentary flamenco show was nice. I believe is only during the weekends. I am a huge fan of live music. Although the show is simple, it was still very entertaining. The wine selection is limited but prices are good. I heard Sangria was good but I didn't try it. However, on this night, I saw many customers drinking sangria. The restaurant is small but cozy. The atmosphere is casual. I will recommend to make reservations especially on show nights since the place is small and it gets crowded.

This is a 3 1/2 star review.. We went to Buleria for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Very quiet...we shared the restaurant with another couple. That was fine with us. Service was personable and efficient. The tapas were very good. Shrimp cooked to perfection; fish and spinach croquettes were delicious; assorted meats with manchego cheese and olives a good starter. Potatoes in a red spicy sauce were really good. The red sangria was refreshing containing real cut-up fruit and not 'fruit cocktail' used by others. Plenty of free parking at this time of day. Recommended. We will return for dinner.

Just discovered this little gem and it's already a fast favorite-we went back within the week for another fantastic meal. The service is top-notch-attentive, friendly and accommodating. It is obvious each of the employees genuinely cares about this business. Love the atmosphere-lively and positive. And oh my word, the food-every tapas we have tried is amazing. The bacon-wrapped dates, potatas brava, steak kebab and gambas al ajillo can't be missed. The mushrooms, artichokes and even the creme brûlée are all fantastic. To top it off, the house-made sangria is delicious and refreshing. Only way they could improve is to expand and make it easier for more to enjoy this special place.

It has been a long time since I've enjoyed a paella like this one. It was cooked to perfection. The tapas we had were excellent too. Very good quality of ingredients. Very important tip! They make your paella to order, that means if you come and order a paella can take almost an hour. It didn't happened to us as they take reservations. We made a reservation to 9pm and we specify which paella we wanted. It was served 5-10 minutes after our arrival. They took our credit card on the phone (in case you decide no to show up) but that seems reasonable to us. Great place to come back. What is missing to have the 5th star? The music was way too loud to my ears, even when the show stopped. If they had the music at the right volume they would have get the last one.

Amazing tapas restaurant!

warm service, wonderful food. my husband and i were passing through town and wanted good food (after a handful of disappointing meals on the road) and we really enjoyed dinner here. if one can judge the quality of a spanish restaurant by its sangria, this place is a win. white sangria is my go-to and many places make theirs too sweet like juice, the white sangria at buleria has a fantastic balance of fruity sweetness and a nice refreshing white wine. the imported spanish beer recommended to my husband was also wonderfully enjoyed. we ordered 4 tapas: artichoke with serrano ham, potato with garlic mayo, basque chorizo, and clams with spanish marinara. everything was good, though nothing spectacular to make anything "exceptional". the chorizo dish was very salty, we were only able to eat it by pairing it with the other dishes and the complimentary bread (which was probably one of the best table breads i've ever had). the flan we had for dessert was rich, dense, and creamy, though slightly smaller than expected. we came on a monday night, so it was a bit quiet. wish we could've been here on a weekend night, i'm sure the flamenco dancers really make a fun and lively dining experience!
