This place is more of an americanized fritanga. That's not really a bad thing though. I love that the carne asada is cooked to order. The quality of the meat is awesome. Very tender and nicely seasoned. The place is always clean and the service is mostly good. The gallopinto is my least favorite part. Its very plain in my opinion. The salad is awesome though. Overall this is a good spot but it wont slide if you bring your nicaraguan relatives to eat here while they vacation in Miami.

!! FAKE FRITANGA ALERT !! I suggest you stay away from this "modern Fritanga" a million times! My boyfriend who's Nica stepped foot in this place and immediately said "fake ass Fritanga" lol I, nonetheless wanted to give it a shot and went for it. Where shall I begin? The rice or so called "Gallo Pinto" had no taste whatsoever! The only good thing about it was the texture, it was grained rice... But no taste at all... I think American rice which is known to be completely tasteless would have been a lot better. Maduros; weren't even fried properly and were quite hard to bite into. And last, the main part of the plate; the carne asada... Well I was disappointed again... Horribly! NO TASTE!! The only good thing was the tenderness since it was cooked to order but what good does that do when you're just biting into tender meat with no taste... Just PURE COW! Thankfully the queso was cooked to order and since it's not hard to mess up frying cheese that was the highlight of my meal. Which in reality was not a meal at all! I will NOT return no matter what and suggest you stay away from it too, unless you want to be disappointed! THE BEST PLACE FOR FRITANGA IS A DRIVE BUT WELL WORTH IT AND CHEAPER THAN THIS PLACE! PINOLANDIA OR FRITANGA HERMANOS MENDOZAS IN EAST HIALEAH! HANDS DOWN THE BEST IN MIAMI!

This is my new to-go place for Fritanga. Their food is delicious and fresh and the restaurant is always spotless. I usually order carne asada (meat cooked to order to your liking) with gallo pinto (rice & red beans cooked together so the rice absorbs the flavor of the beans) & repollo (cole & carrots finely chopped with lemon dressing) which is the perfect acidic counterpart to the well seasoned beef. Staff consists of two people - one cooking and one taking orders & serving so service is a little slow but the staff is friendly enough and the food is worth the wait.

this place is one of MANY fritangas in the area. If you've never been to a fritanga, let me tell you what it is. A fritanga is a Nicaraguan restaurant, I visited Nicaragua once and there what happens is that housewives set up a cooktop outside of their house every evening and sell carne asada with gallo pinto and queso frito. Fritanga Angonica is trying something a little different fromt he other fritangas in this area. They have a modern look which the rest are lacking. They also have a lot more vegetable choices that most fritangas do. I also found their food to be way fresher and that is why I do not mind paying a little more for food here. Usually i get a carne asada plate for $6.25 at most fritangas, but her it cost me $8. We did a taste test with my husband, he ordered a meal from our regular fritanga and I ordered it from Fritanga Angonica and we tasted both dishes and each time, hands down, Fritanga Angonica won :) I hope they keep up the quality. I only visit miami 3 times a year and I will be doing a follow up review next time I'm in town. In the meantime check out the pictures I posted on my last visit.

The cacao in this "modern fritanga" is nothing like what a real cacao tastes like, tastes more like Nesquik.

I tried this Fritanga for the first time, and I'm glad I did ! The carne asada was delicious; very tender and with a grilled smoky flavor to it. You could tell everything was fresh and not reheated, plus the place was immaculate clean. Will be returning for sure !!!

A year ago I complained about it, but I have become a frequent customer. The ladies are nice, the food varies and it is great during lunch time because they open at 11am and the food is fresh of course! I once tried their shrimp but since it was on the heated trays all day it didn't taste delicious. I have never gotten sick, thank God! It is always very clean. The Carne Asada is made on the spot which I believe it is the only one that does this. And the tortillas are 3 for $1!

Not your ordinary fritanga, This is more of a modernized fritanga. The food is cooked well and healthy. The food is not cooked with too much oil. Light but enough to satisfy you and it won't leave you feeling uncomfortably bloated. The store is clean and the decor is nice. The staff is friendly and unlike most of the other fritangas, this one has English speakers (at least when I went). Overall a great spot for a good meal.
