Fast food where you're greeted at the door? Where an employee takes time to explain what's on your sandwich? And in Hialeah (yes, Miami Lakes is Hialeah North to me :))?? I stopped by on my lunch break looking for something light and healthy (the soup had plenty of noodles although it could have stood to be a touch warmer) and quick. I hadn't been to Einstein's other than for duh, bagels, and didn't know what was on their sandwiches. The cashier explained to me what was on their Italian panini and thus I ate. Hot, cheesy goodness with decent sized chicken breast, and a hint of marinara and basil. Even the Dessert Snob made an appearance for their yogurt parfait. Oh, and they have cherry coke here!

This has to be the crappiest Einstein Bagels I've ever been too. They had a blonde lady, who I think was the manager, who said that they couldn't toast any of my bagels from my Baker's Dozen order and that the toasted ones needed to be on a separate order. WTF?!? When I told her that the other Einstein Bagels locations I've been to didn't do that, she rudely said that with the backlog of orders she had, she couldn't do it. The funny thing was that there were only three people in line. The nerve! But wait, it doesn't end there...They had one sugar container and it was empty. The hazelnut coffee container was also empty and they had removed all the plastic utensils from the common area. I had to request the knives from behind the counter, where one of their employees asked me how many I wanted as if if I was requesting royal silverware made from stirling silver and encrusted with emeralds. Avoid this place like the plague. Go to the Doral reataurant. It is infinitely better.

Horrible, short staffed. The manager kept telling everybody to go all the way to the register to order whenever they were ready. The line was held up you had to wait about 10 minutes to order and then while your food was being prepared another 5 minutes . I'm not sure if it was the manager but she was wearing a long sleeve black button down shirt different from the employees. I ordered a sliced nontoasted power bagel in order to be faster and I still have to wait as long as people who ordered a sandwich . The bagel was still delicious and everything was clean but the service was terrible they were just under staffed

Come here if you ONLY want a bagel. That's the only thing they sell that's worth the price. I gave this place a second chance after tasting their terrible coffee for the first time. I ordered a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter, a caramel macchiato and a Baja Chicken salad. I waited almost 15 minutes for my salad (it was not busy at all). The coffee was bland. I didn't realize until I got to work that the "chicken" salad I had ordered had nothing in it but lettuce and a sad amount of random, wilted red peppers. The bagel was delicious. When I called the manager she was very nice and even offered a free salad, which I did not go pick up. I won't be coming back here again.

Aghhh! Disappointed. Service is terrible. Bagels are "ok"....did I say the service was terrible? I ordered: -- 2 Six Cheese Bagels Toasted --- w/ Plain Cream Cheese -- 1 Six Cheese Bagel Toasted --- w/ Sun Dried Tomatoes Cream Cheese --- a side of Bacon -- OJ (small cup) -- Simply Apple juice (bottled) What else to do while I wait for my food right? Look at my receipt and I found voids which didn't make sense..and then also an order of a bottle of Sprite. When I got my food I told them that I didn't order the bottle of sprite. (Did I want a bottle of sprite she asked? Duhh...noooo.) So she passed me on to the woman that dealt with it but she was frustrated with it as it seemed like making hand gestures up and down from waist up like a mad Italian woman that was impatiently waiting for the register to open. She had $100.00 in hand and gave me some change and said she would go to the bank to change her $100.00 to give me $2.00 back. She came back and was about to do other things and then looked at me and said.."Ohhh!" Gave me the $2.00 and apologized. ---ok, thanks. But as I was eating I look at the receipt again and I see a bottle of Simply Orange charged on there. So that's a .20c difference from the juice cup I got. It's only .20c but c'mon mannnn...not worth going back just to point out another mistake. Yes it does get busy...but you guys should have a routine going. With all that hustle and bustle I don't see any team work happening here. It's like watching energizer bunnies going on their own direction with really no direction. I've been to small bagel shops and the busier they get the faster they move and work together because they love the challenge! Your cashier too, shouldn't assume what kind of beverage they get and ask first. Also, the pieces of oily bacon on the side were 2 not 3 as you mentioned. 1 was under cooked and the other was fine and actually cost more than the bagel! Never again.

There's something seriously wrong with how this place is run. I've been coming here consistently for the last few weeks and the overall experience is horrible. Today was the last draw. I placed an order and paid within 5 minutes. You'd think your food would be ready within another 5-10 minutes, right? Nope! I spent over 30-40 minutes waiting for one bagel sandwich. That's just ridiculous. I've ordered and received my food much faster than that at fine restaurant. This has happened a few times already, but never as long as today. Usually 15-20 minutes (which is still pretty bad). To top things off, I get home to enjoy my bagel, and they got the order WRONG. How difficult is it to follow instructions on a screen? I know they took my order right because they repeated it back to me before I paid and also says it on my receipt! Overall, the bagels aren't that bad, but I've definitely had better. I'd give the bagels about 3 stars. This place needs new management that can run it properly and hire those who can follow instructions. If you do eat here, stay on top of them after you pay. And DO NOT leave until you check your order to make sure they did it properly. Consider yourself warned.

Bad management. Place is not kept up, everything in the bathroom is broken and is filthy. The food is rediculous over priced and not prepared correctly. Avoid this place.

Been giving three guys chances for 7 YEARS!!! Still!!! Can't get the orders right!! No matter what you order, a simple bagel with cream cheese or a sandwich that's On the board! Always comes out wrong! PEOPLE CAN YOU NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!

Meh, I'm not too crazy about this place. I think it gets way too busy for a breakfast spot and they don't have enough parking or seating to accommodate their morning rushes. They should definitely have a drive thru window. When I have had my breakfast sandwiches they taste very artificial like it came out of a box and microwaved. The only thing I like from this place is their salmon cream cheese spread. I also think this place should be open in the evenings to drive more local traffic for an evening coffee or for students.

Two stars for the good bagels but none for the service its horrible... they take FOREVER! Six people standing behind the counter doing nothing while we waited 40mins for one bagel... And of course they got the order wrong. Plus it's not the first time its happened, it's already been the third time. Save your time and the headache, just go next door to Starbucks where they are friendly and fast.

Not sure what's going on at this place anymore. I've been frequenting this particular franchise for over 5 years and it's been a great place to grab a quick breakfast but it's been in a free fall for the last 6 months. I noticed that the long time manager has been replaced and it's just not the same. The food quality is still good but the store itself is in shambles. The dining room is not kept tidy and overall it's not very organized. The people working there are all very nice but they are obviously in over their head. Not sure I'll make the effort to eat there any longer.

I dont ever mind stopping here for a breakfast sandwich including one of their bagels. My favorite by far is the Spinach Florentine, because you can really taste the spinach. The prices here are OK and they have a good variety of bagels you can chose from. They're all made daily from what i was told and you can taste it. The only downside is during the weekend it can get busy and the service isn't the quickest.

Very bad service and crew that doesnt care one bit about the customer. Rude, unprofessional and nasty are the folks working here. The line was to the door and the cashier was on the phone chatting with a friend not taking an order. DONT GO HERE.. go to any other Einsteins but this one...

Bagels are the best thing here for breakfast. Along with its great selection of smears. The breakfast sandwiches suck in my opinion. It's that microwaved school powder tasting egg. Not good at all and very expensive. The coffee is excellent.

You know what? This place was alright. First off every time I went in it was pretty busy, however the line was moving fairly fast. The place was clean and the staff was courteous. I was able to get my bagel and banana both mornings without a hitch. The prices weren't that bad either. Gave me more respect for this chain and willingness to go order something from the Bros in the future.

This is a great little find I completely forgot about this location. Tired of the normal breakfest places ??? Then I recommend Einstein bagels with over 15 different types of bagels and shmear ( that's cream cheese ) available you can be sure your going to find a combo you'll like. Not in the mood for a bagel try one of there other meals panini salads an so much more. This location is one of my favs for one main reason the double line ordering system that they use. While one person is at the cashier placing there order a crew member will come up to the next person in line to take there order therefore minimizaing the wait time to order. Prices aren't to bad about $1-3 per since all there bagels are what sum would call premium The local police seem to love this spot so if you have a warrent go to another location.

  • Todd W.

The staff is not friendly at all and I find the prices for what you get to be a bit outrageous. I've had better bagels with tastier cream cheese for half as much. Only reason I went here was out of convenience and now that I've moved I hope I can find a place worth going to. The line always moves slow and it takes forever to get your food. How long does it really take to toast a bagel and spread cream cheese? Seeing the other reviews it appears you have to be a real regular to get any kind of respect as a customer.

    (2)

The staff is very friendly, and although I'm not a regular myself, it's very refreshing to see the employees refer to the regulars on a first name basis. Food is really good.

I have been going to this Einstein's for over 10 years. The service is excellent. I was impressed by how they remember my name. I used to be addicted to their coffee. They have a great menu and they are really flexible with orders. They will customize anything. I used to order PB&Js for breakfast. I would pick up lots of bagels for work and I was the first to get the pumpkin cream cheese when it was available. I did have to stop having coffee there since I cannot drink milk. The only thing I wish they would do is offer soymilk or some other alternative creamer. Nowadays I don't go that often but since I work nearby and I like to grab a club mex for lunch every now and then. They still remember my name too.

We had not been out here for a while... once i took a bite from my bagel I wondered why we stayed away!!! i did feel a bit rushed when it was our turn to order - cause there is a nice variety of bagels to chose from when trying to get together your bucket and a line behind you of others waiting their turn. we quickly placed our order to go & our breakfast in order... we each had an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, 1 small coffee, 1 small milk and a delicious scruptous white chocolate raspberry muffin! we managed to find a table, place was full and it was only 9:30am on sunday morning!!! our bagel was perfect. even thou toasted it maintained its soft consistency. could of used a bit more cream cheese, but i was able to spread it onto both sides. my hubby had the french vanilla coffee which was a great temperature and good flavor. my milk was nice and cold. the muffin.... this was amazing.... great white chocolate taste surrounded by delicious strawberry swirels!!! it had a very nice balance of both taste and it was extremely fresh.... our bucket of bagels (even thou a bit costly $9.99 for 12 - no cream chesse (if you get it w/cream cheese it is $13.99) was filled with a very nice variety.. potato, seasame seed, honey wheat, everything bagels!! choices, choices!! hard! had to leave behind some flavors which we wil have to go back for soon!!!
