I was told by the waitress this restaurant has been here for twelve years. I didn't notice it until I moved back to Hialeah from Dallas. Which, makes sense. I don't remember it before about twelve years ago. Since coming back from Dallas, I pass by it all the time. The shopping center where this restaurant is located is on a busy intersection here in Hialeah. An intersection used by many of the locals to avoid the congested traffic on the busier main roads to go to the western portions of West Hialeah. Still a busy intersection but, not as bad as using the major roads. My free tip for you. I wasn't on Yelp when I first moved back to Hialeah. But, three years ago in typical "New Yelper" style, I went on a mission looking for places to review. I quickly noticed, "hey, this business hasn't been reviewed and it's pretty busy at nights." This goes for many of the businesses here in Hialeah. There was one HUGE problem though. This is a seafood restaurant. I strongly dislike seafood. I tried on social media many a times to get anyone to come to Hialeah to be the first to review this restaurant. But nope, nobody came. Then finally today, a friend of mine comes for a visit. He's also a Yelper and knows his seafood. The minute he said that maybe we should have lunch I said, "PERFECT! I know where we're going." See, he doesn't know it but he's my unofficial "go with me to eat seafood person." THANK YOU DAWG! You know who you is! Long story short, we were both really pleased with our meals. Things to note and blah, blah, blahs (in order of importance:) * Language here is español. You will need a translator if you don't speak español. Sorry, it is what it is. * I will try my best to upload that portion of their flyer. They have awesome lunch specials for $8.00. * The seafood is so fresh here that they run out of food, hence, why I didn't issue the fifth star. They had already run out of several items when we got there. Not a bad thing really but, they ran out of some brands of beer too. * Also not a bad thing, food doesn't come to you immediately from the kitchen. Relax, have a beer. Talk to each other while you wait. :* This restaurant is kid friendly. The other table that showed-up while I was here was a man with his young daughter. Kids section on their menu too. * Menu is English/español "most of the time." There is some Spanglish intertwined in there. * They deliver "sometimes." Check first before making plans. There are restrictions. * As mentioned above, I have passed by here at night when I've noticed it the most crowded. It is indeed a sports themed bar and attracts a younger "Hialeah-type" crowd. I hope that makes sense without being offensive. Again, this is at night when I've driven through the parking lot. I have never seen a problem though. We were here around 2:00 P.M. on a Saturday and only one other party showed-up to dine. By the time we left, they were setting-up with finishing touches for the Saturday Night crowd. One thing I noticed, they were changing slightly stained ceiling tiles. Very nice. The restaurant, as a whole, was impeccable. * The seafood being sold here is indeed fresh at very reasonable prices. It doesn't smell like a Crack head's "you know what." * Parking - There is plenty of parking inside this shopping center, however, this restaurant is located under a large banquet hall. I have seen the parking lot get rather tight when the banquet hall is operating. Today I had: - Conch Fritters: Very good with LOTS of Conch. Some places it's all breading. - Calamari - The best calamari I've ever had. It was even crispy. - Malanga Fritters - ¡OMG BRO! The best I've ever had. - Snapper - I didn't know they brought you the entire fish fried. I almost puked. It was very good though. I would come here again just for this when I'm in the mood. Everything smelled exactly the way it was supposed to taste. If you have ever had "not so fresh" vagina...I mean, seafood, you know what I mean. Everything will smell/taste the same. P.S. I recommend this restaurant for anyone that gets turned-off by seafood. They won't even notice unless they look at the plates of food. The seafood scent is very minimal. The expected for fresh seafood. #KeepItLocal
