High Cholesterol at Zaxby's

If you are supposed to restrict your calorie count, then try any of the zalads and club it up with a sandwich to fill your stomach with delicious food. To curb the cravings for deep fried food, opt for a small portion (5) of boneless wings and chicken fingerz.

Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high cholesterol. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.

Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol

Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.

Good for what it is. It's fast food and they pretty much only do one thing (chicken tenders) but they do them well. I like Buffalo sauce so it's a place I go semi-regularly. Overall, I think the food is a little too salty, but I go there enough to suggest that it obviously doesn't bother me too much. Staff has always been friendly to me.

Wow, I had a free meal card and even for free it was horrible. I did however love the soda machine!

ZAXBY's! Jesus! For the love of all that is Holy, Allah and Ganesh protect my stomach against the holy fire produced within due to the ANCIENT oil used to anoint my scraps of indigestion cleverly disguised with foul sebum from hell known as Zax sauce! Holy Crap ! doesn't begin to describe it ! :( Awoken at 3am by stomach pains I would like to thank Zaxby's for the 3 hrs on the can this morning !! The slaw ! RUNNNNNN old mayo Faints !

My kids love Zaxby's. I think the chicken batter has crack in it. We usually go in, but today we hit the drive-thru. Made the mistake of ordering cheddar bites, which are made to order, slowing the drive-thru service. Oh well, lesson learned. Kickin Chicken Sandwich is spicy, sloppy & good. Squeamish eaters beware... They don't trim their chicken strips. Packed with flavor & not too greasy.

I'm not typically inclined to write a review on a chain fast food joint, but...ok, I just haven't been out lately and just had to write something. I despised this place when they first came to Gainesville. The batter tasted kinda weird and the sauce was just funky. I have no idea what changed over the years when I tried it again about a year ago, but it's grown on me now. That funky sauce is now delicious and I'll dip my chicken, fries, and bread in it. I like the seasoning on the fries, it's a little out of the norm. An unexpected pleasure of this place is that, despite probably coming out of a bag, the cole slaw is pretty damn good for what it is. It's a little pricier than the regular fast food, but it certainly is filling. Well....this was just an unfulfilling review. I need to get to a place I haven't been before.

I was introduced to Zaxby's by my kids because they liked the food and once I decided to try it they became my favorite fast food place. I enjoy their chicken wings, even if they are rather small, mostly for the hot sauce that you can get in different levels of hotness and they are actually HOT! I usually use the drive-thru which is always quick even when there is a long line.

I like Zaxby's for what they are..fast food..but a better choice than the others when it comes to other choices. Love their cajun club grill chicken sandwich for $6..great tasting sandwich..great price..good deal.

I had only dined at Zaxby's once before in my entire life and that was back in 2003 in Jacksonville so, seemed like a good night to give them another try. I had the Blue Cheese Chicken Salad with Buffalo chicken and it was a large (in fact, huge) portion of salad lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese with an ample amount of cooked Buffalo chicken atop of it all. It was prepared very quickly despite the restaurant being quite busy with dine-in customers. So the salad was great, really, for what it was. I do question some of their other dishes though: I saw people ordering, for their kids no less, "dinners" that were nothing more than Buffalo chicken wings and French fries . . . I hope they don't feed their kids this stuff every night. They also have ummm . . . fried pickles . . . seriously. I suspect this is another establishment that falls into my "the only thing in the kitchen they don't put in their fryer is the cook" niche of dining.

Horrible service at this place. The food is okay but don't bother to call in your order ahead of time. I called in an order for the office and they hadn't even started on it when I showed up at the time they said it would be ready. I waited much longer than the 20 people that came in after me and ordered at the register. I even had to remind the guy that I was waiting when my order finally came out. Won't be going back to this place.

Now bare with me.... I am giving this Zaxby's a good review. I know that previously I gave the archer road location a bad review. Well here is why I like this one..... It has everything to do with the difference of the employee's and cleanliness of the two buildings. 43rd street location is fresh and clean. The employee's are very polite and upbeat. The food is prepared much much faster than over at archer road location, and I think it has everything to do with the employee's. Its funny to me that two of the same restaurants can be so different. I enjoy the food so much here. If you want to go healthy you can pick up a grilled chicken zalad. Tasty if you ask me..... Any variation of the chicken tenders are good (a personal favorite of my girlfriends). even the little things count like the crushed ice. It may seem weird but If I was on archer road and passed zaxby's and found myself having a craving a chicken zalad..... I would drive over to 43rd street to eat it.

I love Zaxbys. And I am not ashamed to be a regular at this location. I love their chicken finger plate and the nibblerz meal. I have had the Nibblerz Meal with both the Zaxs Sauce and the Honey Mustard and they are both really good. I adore the crinkle fries, however I always ask for extra seasoning on them. And their relAtively new milkshakes are really good. The Birthday Cake Milkshake that they have offered right now is to die for! Also the celebration special is a great deAl! You should at least try Zaxbys because I can almost gurantee that you will be a regular.

After reading all the reviews and hearing the hype, we went to see what the Zaxby's noise was all about. The chicken strips were decent. The ambiance was ok. The crushed ice for the drinks was a treat. The Zax Sauce was a peppery tomato mayo. The honey mustard didnt taste like honey or mustard. Overall the experience was just average.

The 43rd Street Zaxby's is my favorite restaurant. It isn't just the food; it's the atmosphere. I generally do not enjoy sitting around after I finish eating. At Zaxby's, however, I can sit for an hour after I am through, getting refill after bladder-busting refill of Coke. You heard me: Coke. Pepsi blows. They have excellent crushed ice, not those big cubes. I get the regular old Big Zax Snack, but I have been known to go for the chicken tender plate, which is usually more than I can handle. The ideal balance is to get the Zax Snack with the three chicken strips, and get your wife to give you her toast and fries. It's the best of all possible worlds. The 43rd Street branch is less busy than the Archer Road location, and the movie-themed decor beats that sport-themed flair at Archer. Plus, the layout is generally more pleasant. Almost any seat is comfortable, but I am partial to the booth in the southeast corner. The staff is friendly enough, and they'll even cook your strips longer if you ask nicely. Go with a friend, or several. Sure, the more uppity types might consider it fast-food. But if you eat it with a fork (which I recommend), you can pretend you're the King of England.

The location is very convenient and the restaurant is always neat and clean. Sometimes service can be slow but it's always been because they're cooking the food fresh. As fast food places go it's a little more expensive and I wish I had a few more customization options for their menu, but that's obviously a franchise issue rather than this restaurant. I'm also a fan of the crushed ice.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a regular at this Zaxby's. It the place I go with my husband when I get out of work early on Fridays. It's a fast food place that feels like a restaurant. We tend to linger while we're here because it's just got that kind of vibe where you can be laid back and talk about your day and not feel rushed that you need to give up your table to the next person. Almost all the seats are comfy booths. Lighting is pleasant, and there are windows big windows that surround the entire restaurant. There is "flair" on the walls. This Zaxby's has movie themed flare. Zaxby's has great chicken fingers and they serve it up with Zax Sauce. It's a tomato/mayo based sauce with a little bit of zing which I think comes from raisin paste, the same stuff that makes A1 Steak Sauce good. The french fries are good, too. They are sprinkled with season salt. I like food really hot, but the insane wings gave me blisters. I suggest getting them a little milder because they don't joke around with the sauce. Their teriyaki flavor is good, too. All wings come with carrots and celery with ranch dressing for dipping. If you prefer only celery, they'll substitute at no extra charge. Their fried mushrooms are worth trying. They come with a side of honey mustard. They also make their own homemade potato chips, again sprinkled with the same yummy season salt. On the lighter side, they have salads, or as they're called, "zalads". They are huge and are served with a side of Texas Toast. Some come with a sprinkle of french fried onions. The Big Blue Zalad is my favorite of all.

what can I say but.. YUMMY!! Zaxbys is a fast food joint but when you walk in, they have some flair on the walls that make it look a bit nicer than your average fast food place. The chicken wings and tenders are great. I love the crinkle fries because they sprinkle some cajun salt on it. If you are a brave mofo, like me, or extremely stupid, again maybe me, then you should definitely get the insane sauce. I will tell you that is used to be 10 times hotter a few years ago. They must have been sued?? I dunno... anyways, try the wings and things platter. it is about 5 or 6 bucks and you get tenders, wings, fries and a slice of texas toast. as well as a side sauce. The Zax sauce is the default sauce and it seems to be a blend of mayo, ketchup and I think just a hint of horseradish. Come on..... (say this with an Austrian accent) Dont be a girly man... get the insane saice instead. Just go and find out what I mean
