Nice to see consistency in a fast food joint. Great service, fast, and a nice alternative to Burger King and McDonalds when on our road trip.

Definitely great service, delicious burgers, and at an affordable price. I definitely recommend the salt and vinegar fries as my wife kept stealing them off of my plate. With three kids and four adults the bill was $24. Huh? That's super cheap. The server was incredibly friendly and was on top of things the entire time. The down fall is the interior was filthy. Its not that hard to take a clean rag and wipe things down and clean the damn window sills please, its gross.

Inexpensive burgers and shakes plus free hats and games, what's not to like? Sure, it hasn't really changed here in decades, but it also seems like they haven't adjusted their prices to keep up with inflation. Shhh, don't tell the CEO. Also, it's tucked around the corner from I-75 for a quick getaway.

Everything I order here is wrong...even down to the flavors of my milkshakes! Won't return.

A busy area and of course the usp is the shakes available here. Dinner is fine and services are kind of okay. It is not the kind of dinner place but more of a fast food restaurant type. Ambience is typical and that's where it differs from exceptional ones. It is open 24 hours and that's really good if you have to grab a bite around here. Good shakes though.

Food is good and fast, peppermint chocolate chip milkshake is heaven. Customer service? Nope. Went at 1 am. It's understandable, it's a late hour and I've worked in food service that late. What I don't understand is an employee who messes up then blames the customers. We ordered our food via drive thru, and I ALWAYS ask for no whip cream, anywhere I go. He even repeated it over the mic. So he's handing us our food and I notice that the milkshake has whipped cream and I'm trying to tell the kid that I wanted no whipped cream and he ignores me because he's talking to a coworker then turns to us and snaps "guys! take it!" so my bf takes it and I'm asking him to tell the kid I wanted no whipped cream. So he hands it back and tells him, then the kid yells out to his coworker "THEY DON'T WANT THEIR WHIPPED CREAM ANYMORE!" EXCUSE ME?! I said NO whipped cream in the first place. You REPEATED IT back to me. I understand that some customers can be truly stupid, trust me. I've been in food&beverage at Walt Disney World on Main Street USA. But when a customer was right and you were wrong....smh. Shitty customer service.

We like to come here after the bars let out because it is actually on our way home and less crowded than the 13th Street location. You will definitely see a different crowd also. The servers here are super nice and the place is pristine clean. We are always getting coupons from them in the mail, so it keeps us coming back. I am partial to the Frisco Melt, or any melt on special for that matter. They just do them so well here. The fries have definitely improved over the years and are of the shoestring variety. The ketchup comes in a pointed bottle that is easy to dispense and their brand of seasoning salt is really good on the fries. When you come here, you have to get a shake, and there are many to choose from these days. There are two happy hours on the shakes, when they are half priced: 2-4 PM and 2-4 am, kind of like what Sonic used to have. Otherwise the shakes can be pretty pricey at $3.50 each, but they are large. My husband loves their chili, but I am not a big fan. It tastes much different dine-in than the canned version. I have been able to make a similar version at home, the key is to hit it with a touch of milk before serving to make it creamy.

Cheap, warm and friendly place. Shakes are unbeatable - have had all of them, love the chocolate brownie fudge shake. Burgers - huge fan of the spicy chicken burger. 24 hour open, so late night - after 2 am, one of places to grab a bite to eat.

Right next door to our friend's hotel and we all needed something yummy after winning first place at Def Talent Jam XX, and so Steak 'n Shake it was. The service was awesome! Which is unique for me.. since in ATL, I always seem to get ridiculously slow service. The Royale burger was delicious, and I wish I had the stomach to eat the entire thing but I got full about 3/4 in. Everyone at the table ate everything, and enjoyed the entire meal. Our server kept checking up on us, getting us refills, and anything else we needed. He was super friendly, too.

Vastly overmatched when there's a rush. Waiting 25 minutes. No food. Shake has been produced and is disgusting. Aha! Here's the food. Food looks OK

A Sunday after church lunchtime favorite! This was a rough trip, though. The kitchen was very backed up. We were in the restaurant for over an hour. The server did stop by after a while and explain what was taking so long. A+ for her communicating with us. The food is usually spot on. Today, the fries looked like they had been cooked in old oil. They had sat around too long before being brought to us. But, the color was off too. Obvious sign of old oil. I will definitely go back. Probably next Sunday. I will make sure to catch up with some positive reviews to offset this one. I think they missed the memo that UF students are back this weekend with their parents getting ready for fall semester.

Went here with my fam and got food! It was great but man the fries tasted a bit off, they recycle their oil, which results in old oil fries!! The fries were brittle and hard to eat!! But their chicken is great with their sauce.

The vast majority of the times I've come here, it's been after 2 am. Delicious drunk food, and as I've realized, it's still delicious during daylight hours. Guacamole double steakburgers, chipotle grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders with 3 kinds of dipping sauce, skinny cheese fries, hand-dipped milkshakes... you really can't go wrong. I also think it's awesome that you can get cherry, chocolate, or vanilla flavoring for your soft drinks. In addition, recently they've begun serving breakfast, which I look forward to trying. My only qualm with this place is the service. I got there today at 10:50 this morning, hoping to sneak in during breakfast hours. Nope, because by the time a server showed up at our table, it was 11:10. Then, we waited 25 minutes for our food. Now, this might be due to my lack of understanding- is Steak 'n Shake fast food? Why can you get your food from the drive-thru in 5 minutes, but it takes a half hour when you go inside? We were thoroughly disappointed, and late for an important engagement. We should have gone to Cracker Barrel like we had wanted to in the first place- it would've been faster, despite the 20 minute wait time. To head off any questions, no, this wasn't a one-time occurrence. On my late-night visits, the service is equally as lethargic. Until now, I've attributed it to the fact that we're often in a large party, but today it was just my boyfriend and I. Their terrible service is still a mystery to me, but I will probably continue to order their food... but I know if I'm in a hurry to hit up the drive-thru.
