But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. I ate here about 4 days a week at one point in my life. The kids meal was $2.99 and the grown-up burritos were too big anyhow. I guess the manager here didn't care because the other Moe's I've been to frown on the kid's meal for grown ups. It seemed like everyone and their mother was ordering it here. A burrito or taco, chips, drink and cookie for $2.99. How are you going to argue with that?

So the workers here are somewhat nice. Depends on what kinda day it is. This place is packed and I don't understand why at all. The meat is low quality junk and I feel like I am a pet eating it. Yup, it's that low grade. Well, it's a step up from Taco Bell. At least service is quick, but the food is what I would compare to a bad bowl of cup noodles (yes yes how much worse can cup noodles get to be labeled "bad"). Filling, has flavor and warm. But then you walk out and wonder why you really put yourself through that and threaten to walk into a pole to relieve yourself from such craziness. AVOID: -Dog food beef...ground or "steak" -Mushy chicken and an ABOMINATION to tofu -Chewy tortilla chips -Tilapia?!?!?!?! Cheap disgusting white fish that's been farm raised AND frozen.

Moe's is a classic Gainesville student experience. The workers could be transplanted from a D&D convention. One of the burrito artists was especially hospitable and could make playful banter to the highest standards. At first, I was disappointed by the badly designed menu, and the underwhelming food, but the cool employee and the university town anthropological case study was enough to earn Moe's four stars.

Good Tex Mex, although on the generic side. Not many (if any) organic and/or local ingredients. Food is always good and the servings are decent. No WOW factor for me, but I never say no whenever asked to join a friend there. My young teen son loves all the flavors of soda that can be created.

Moes is way better than Chipotle There I said it. In regards to this particular location, the staff is always friendly! Always smiling. I come here every Monday for their Moe Mondays deal. Never had a problem!

My family and I were on a road tip heading north on I75, when we see there is a Moes nearby. I get excited because it's been a while since I've been to Moes. The service was fine, but the food was ice cold. When I told the one guy behind the counter he just said 'okay'. No offer to remedy the problem. It was obvious that he couldn't care less. At that point I guess I didn't care enough to continue, so I ate my cold burrito and got on with my trip, disappointed.

pretty good food, pretty good service, a little expensive for what you get at times. very good location for me and my wife, she likes bento box and i prefer this so we can still eat together and get completely different food.

WELCOME TO MOES - This is the greeting you get as you open the doors to the fast paced, good food tex-mex restaurant. Usually crowded with students and families getting a bit to eat before or between class or when your waiting on a movie to start. Food is very filling and there is a decent selection of items to satisfy anyone's tex-mex craving

This place is just ok. The Burritos are really big, but do not have a great amount of flavor. You would think with their attitude it would be the best place around. Big hangout for kids from Middle School through College. A step up from Taco Bell.

A Tex-Mex fast food chain loaded with personality. Moe's is just... cool. I'm not sure how else to put it. (: As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted by a shout of "Welcome to Moe's!" Their gimmick is (no lie) dead musicians. The music you hear is all from the dearly departed. I personally enjoy the portraits on the walls: winners of their "Dead Ringers" contest, chosen for their uncanny resemblance to dead musicians. The portraits include John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, Michael Jackson, and Kurt Cobain. If this isn't enough for them, the place is covered in cute little Moe's-isms. "Don't throw away your basket! (Pretty please with salsa on top)" A sign in the restroom helpfully reminds you to "check your teeth for cilantro!" At most assembly-line-style eateries, you have to worry about the food sitting out for ages-- not so at this place. This is a very popular location, and as such, it turns over FAST. The food is always fresh and hot (or cold, if it's supposed to be), they're never out of anything, and the employees have the tables clean immediately after a party leaves. I'm impressed by how incredibly efficient the whole process is. My personal fave is the JC (cheese quesadilla) with tofu. Their tofu isn't the best I've ever had, but it is tasty. If you've never tried their queso, your life is incomplete! I "make it a meal" to get a drink and a side of queso for $2 and some change. I recommend their amazing sugar-shocked sweet tea. This is one of my favorite places for infinite caffeine. I usually hop a bus and go to an off-campus location because campus doesn't have my tea.. and that simply will not do. (: If you're a soda person (I'm tellin' ya, you're missing out), they now have one of those crazy 100+ flavor Coke machines. Now, the bad.. It is a busy location, like I said, so if you come during a peak hour you'll probably find a long line. It moves pretty quickly, though-- hang tight. (: You may have trouble seating a large group here, since most tables are constantly occupied. The noise level is fairly high; the music barely floats above the buzz of conversation. It's also a technological dead zone. There isn't wifi available and, for some reason, I can't get a cell signal here (I have AT&T). Not that I'm thinking about gadgets when I'm stuffing my face with delicious food. :P Some people (apparently) gripe about quality, but for counter-service fast food, this is definitely "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Taco Bell doesn't begin to compare. Despite the crowd and tech-hostile environment, Moe's is one of my favorite eats. Great food and an atmosphere that always puts me in a good mood (: -------------- Riding RTS? During the week: Moe's can be reached by the 5 and 43 routes. Weekends: Moe's is accessible by the 400.

I have to say I am done with Moe's. The only thing that brings me back is they have bento's Next door. I do appreciate the fact they are gluten-free friendly, hence the 3 star rating. But outside of their queso dip, I just don't enjoy their food.
