It's a typical McDonald's, what more are you expecting? People were nice and got my order correct in a timely matter. Best thing about it though is the 24 hrs drive thru!

Do not be fooled by the smoke and mirrors and media hype!!!! This is a terrible place to take a first date!! Not only did the server never once come to our table, after 30 minutes of waiting, we had to get up and order at the counter!! We were given EMPTY CUPS and told to fill up our own drinks, and the cashier had NO idea how to split a check. I blame this poorly-run establishment for ruining a relationship before it could even blossom. Chicken nuggets were aight tho

I never have high expectations of McD's in the US, so my review is in comparison to the average fast food experience in America. My friend and I made a night-time pit stop here after hitting up Target around the corner. The drive-thru line was insane so we parked and went inside to get a to-go order. I think it took less time than the other option, and we didn't make any special requests with our order. The staff wasn't especially proper, but they were nice and a funny bunch, so there's no complaints there. Our orders came up quickly, and all of it was hot and correct, so no issues there either. Really, they hit the marks with all the requirements of a McD's/fast food place - correct orders, speedy service, and decent staff/dining area.

Horrible. Full of homeless sleeping in the booths. They hog up the bathroom 'cleaning' and changing clothes. Management doesn't seem to care. Gross.

Don't let appearances fool you this is still the same shit hole it was before they remodeled. Maned mostly by undereducated minorities. the service is non-existent. I swear that Mc Donlad's corporation must train these people to leave out items when they can and give you the wrong size fries and drink. It's literally highway robbery and the employees could care less as long as they get their improperly small paycheck It is a broken system altogether. What happened to pride in one's work, Now It's total utter pathetic joke. It makes me sick that humanity and compassion has slid to such a level. Don't get me wrong I feel bad for the people that work here it is not their fault , it is the fault of uncaring greedy corporations profiting on the dwindling good nature left in humanity.Don't support the greed, buy local produce and meats if possible. make your own food! DO NOT support the Walmart juggernaut, and buy products made in the U.S.A. and help bring back the integrity and pride in America that the people once shared

I wish this place smelled a little better. My stomach turns whenever I have to come here. The food is ok. Not better, not worse.

To the owner....I understand you make more money then you can count because of your amazing location but it would be nice if you could sink a little money back into your location and update it so I can get a Frappe there. Only McDonald's that I know of that doesn't offer the Frappe. Other then that the crew is very courteous and they get you in and out very fast.

I've eaten at this McDonald's before, and it was a standard fast food experience. Yesterday, I got a Happy Meal, and it was a very unhappy experience because I think it gave me food poisoning. Despite my initial nausea, I did try to eat a piece of pizza a few hours after (health nut, I know), so that could have been the source of the bad food, but I have a hunch it started with a little cheeseburger.

  • Allen H.

Location is good, however the drive-thru is a nightmare. If they mess up your order (as it happens a good amount of the time), then I wish you luck in spending less than 5 minutes trying to get back in to fix it. This location also does not have any of the McCafe items (Frappes, Smoothies, etc.)

  • Jim B.

Its a McDonald's. Once in a great while, I must have an egg McMuffin, and when that urge hits, I've ventured into the drive thru of this store.... Usually to my later regret. Yeah, the EMcM is OK, but the whole experience of this store is just... below 'meh' Its amazing to me that such a crap location can thrive, but then, no one ever went broke with a great location and drunk college students as customers.

Yes, 4 stars. Main reason is because of the location, its a spot i literally have to pass everyday to go to work or class. I have rarely have had an issue. The service is above average and I rarely have complaints. But, as with most fast food restaurants, it is something you look forward to, but mostly regret after you are done.

Yelp user "Doug T." writes "In the 10 years I've lived in Gainesville, I've never been able to figure out why all of the McDonalds in town are so sub-Par." The answer: because it's a MCDONALD'S.

Worst. McDonald's. Ever. Seriously... Ok, McDonald's is horrible anyway, but this one is the worst. If you have to go to this one, make sure you ask them if they are currently accepting credit cards before you order (assuming that's how you want to pay) because sometimes their machine goes down and they usually won't tell you until you have already ordered. Also, if you show up at 6 am for breakfast, be prepared to wait 20 to 30 minutes for them to get a cash register working. Oh yeah, and if you go through the drive through, be sure to request napkins, because they don't automatically give them to you. The real question is why have I gone back more than once?? The only thing this location has going for it is 24-hour drive-through. But don't expect fast service at 2:30 am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning because it's one of 4 restaurants in Gainesville serving 40,000 drunk 18-year-olds after their drinking binge. (Sorry about the tangent...) I haven't even mentioned the food yet!! McDonald's food is bad enough, I'll admit that... But this one's is even worse. I've had soggy fries, beef-jerky-like chicken strips, cold hamburgers and extra-greasy breakfast sandwiches. Only a masochistic food hater would go here. Therefore I pledge never to return!
