I decided to go to Jimmy Johns just to see how fast they really were since I only get a 45 minute lunch break and I must admit I was surprised at how fast they make the sub sandwiches. By the time I was done ordering my meal my food was ready and the line chef had it sitting on the counter for me. if anything the only thing that I could say I went wrong with this visit today is that I did not have enough time to tell them to add mayo overall store cleanliness was better than I expected and the staff seemed to have a positive attitude . what can I say sub so fast you'll freak yeah I was a little bit freaked out but i overall enjoyed my experience and will be returning soon.

I love Jimmy Johns #16 club lulu I order from this location a lot for work functions. Recently I placed a big order $150 for a work function. One sandwich got labeled wrong. I was not going to open everyone's sandwiches just to find the missing wrong labeled sandwich. So I called up, informed them that the ham was a turkey. After explaining that the sandwich labeled as a ham was a turkey the employee put me on hold. The manager picked up, curt in tone, asking "so what's the problem". I informed him what happened. He reluctantly said ok a new sandwich will be right over. Driver shows up, sandwich in hand, hands it to me and says I need the old one back. Needless to say it wasn't with me so I said you'll have to follow me back inside. He did. I showed him the mislabeling sandwiches. He nods his head acknowledging the problem. Says his manager wants the old one back. Takes the sandwich and off he goes. This is a manager who won't be employed for long. I ordered from them 4 days in a row spending $100+ each day for a work function. Really, you want a $5 sandwich back? Bad customer service decision if you ask me. The manager was rude on the phone, and asking his driver to retrieve the wrong sandwich just shows how bad of a manager he truly is. Hopefully this location will get new management and start showing more value towards customers.

It's jimmy johns- they make your food freaky fast and then the next day you will have some freaky gas. It tastes good going down!! And hey they're open late so I can't really hate. Wow sometimes I amaze myself at how corny I am.

Fast and fresh! The bread is very tasty. The only downside is the limited parking. It gets busy at lunch. Not crowded inside, seems a lot if people do take out. Very good if you need to eat on the run.

Jimmy Johns does not have sprouts again. I still really like the bread, but sandwiches are more cheese than meat.

Good food but service isn't friendly. They also are apparently not that concerned with accuracy. Spend your money on a publix sub instead. At least it is really good with friendly service there.

First ever order today. I added extras,, Got excited.. Told em to make it hold up to the hype. $10 later... It failed miserably. A pitiful sandwich I could have slapped together at home for less than $4. I give everything (almost) a try once... This is one I will not retry or recommend. Try hard, fail hard.

Wow...This place needs to work on customer service. Making customers bag their own order is a joke...

Seriously fast. Even on game days. Even when you want them to come to your classroom!

I don't know what it is about JJ's, but I always loved their subs. There is something simple yet refreshing about them. On a hot day, a JJ sub is amazing! Way better than some of the other sub places around. It might be the bread. I've tried both the white and wheat. For some reason, the white is better on a hot day. The wheat is also yum and thick.

Ah Jimmy Johns, with your free smells and confusing names for sandwiches. I like JJ's , yea we are that familiar I can call it by its nickname. Let me tell you why its only like. I have only ever ordered them for delivery to my work. They take less than 5 minutes from order to delivery here. I swear that sometimes I push "send" for my order and I look down and the sandwich is in my hand. Jimmy is fast, but sometimes being quick makes other shortcomings more acceptable. I usually get the same thing. A #10 Hunters Club (dont you have visions of multiple meats and a moose head and possibly bacon?) no, its just roast beef and provolone. Its from the "giant club" column where they promise double the meat , double over the regular 8" club choices. It comes shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato and mayo. For $6.25. You can add sprouts, cucumbers, hot peppers for free. Avocado is there for an option but thats extra, and its not a slice of avocado, its a smear of some spread (so not worth it) There are other choices like the: Italian Night Club (Im picturing jersey shore under the stars)-salami, cappicola, ham, prov, italian vinagrette. Billy Club- ham and roast beef Beach Club-Turkey and avocado and sprouts Club Tuna- tuna Its a good sandwich, the bread is chewy, its compact and you can carry it around your office, its tasty and well...its a damn sandwich. I get them because the subs/sandwiches I do live for, dont deliver. (Publix, Hogans, Hobbit Hoagies) Jimmy Johns is perfect for my office. would I ever go there on my day off for lunch. Never.

I haven't had a bad experience with this food chain. I personally prefer these sandwiches than Subway. The quality of their bread is amazing. I generally order the vino which at most sub shops would be called an Italian. My absolute fave! Speed of Service at this location was great. Parking right in front, I couldn't ask for anything else!

I received my sandwich before I had my credit card back. The transaction lasted less than 20 seconds. Freakishly fast. This level of customer service rolled over to my food experience. With that bias in mind, the Vito sub was at minimum a good sub.

Great bread, flavorful meats and cheeses, freaky fast service. Sign me up! My favorite is the Vito #5 with hot peppers.

I used to go to this Jimmy John's location a lot when I lived behind Butler Plaza. Of course, Jimmy John subs are made fast as lightning, but I like this place better than the one on University because it's not usually as crowded (ie, University location can get crowded at the wee hours thanks to clubbers) and you can't go wrong with the subs. I have tried nearly all of their subs and my favorite would have to be the Beach Club because it has AVOCADO folks! and Alfalfa sprouts, which I am a huge fan of. The #2 , Big John is my second favorite bc of the roast beef. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY! oh yea, both locations sell their day-old bread for dirt cheap. A whole entire loaf is like 50 and two was $.95 the last time I checked. It's cheaper than Publix bread and tastes good, if you don't mind the calories.

They were out of their standard white french bread rolls - only had wheat bread and lettuce wraps. They told me they just put the bread in the oven and it would be 25 minutes. There were 7 people standing behind the counter twiddling their thumbs. I asked one of them if they thought the bread was an important part of the operation they were running and that maybe they should start cooking it when it gets low. No one had a response other than "sorry." I watched 5 other customers walk out behind me.

I had never seen or heard of a Jimmy John's prior to being in Gainesville that day. I was hungry, and I could see that they took Visa (something which the cafe on the U of F campus did not do). I swear the sandwich I ordered was ready before I'd even signed the receipt. It was suprisingly good - not your average sub. If there was one that was closer to my abode, I would frequent there more often. As it is, antime I'm in Gainesville I will make sure to eat at Jimmy John's.

Ahhhh....Jimmy Johns - my favorite sub shop. Quick and easy meal that just tastes goood. Their cuts of meat are fresh as are the veggies they put on your sandwich. Their french bread is deliciously fresh and chewy. What more can I say? My favorite is the Hunter's Club. You just can't go wrong here! yum.....

Jimmy John's deserves 4 stars for sandwich production efficiency. The food is consistent and good for what it is - quick. I would knock off a star if it wasn't lightening fast or for my only issue stated below, but I'm sure this other issue is really rooted in good intention. Plus, it's probably a corporate (or some other type of remote decision makers) policy. So I'm not sweating it. Now I'm over it and it's just funny. My main problem with JJs is the Every-Employee-Simutaneously-Greets-Every-Customer policy. I'm fairly open to positive attitudes and polite employees enhancing any restaurant experience, but 20 minutes of observation while enjoying my JJs sandwich made me ponder the irony of trying too hard to make your customers feel welcomed. Watching each customer's unique reaction to JJs army of 15 employees issuing an unsynchronized-sometimes lackluster- greeting is hilarious. Regulars seem to expect it, and give a polite and subtle "hello'. New customers are surprised for a split second, and then force a grin and squeak out a hello. Some seem to try and sneak in as if no one will catch them, but that's pointless because everyone will be caught eventually. Of course that's just half of it. You also get a warm JJ goodbye on your way out. Needless to say more people just ignore this one and simply waste no time hopping in their car. Since, I feel too guilty to ignore them, I just sneak out while no one's looking. Keep up with the great sandwiches and designate 3 or 4 people to greeting customers. Cheers!

Quick lunch place for me. My favorite is the Beach club; it has avocado and alfalfa sprouts. It's always amazing how fast they put the sub together, and use so much mayo on them. :P

I've seen this sub shop for years but I never stopped in until today. I ordred the #12 BEACH CLUB (see jimmyjohns.com/menu/menu… ) and was very dissapointed. They were speedy but got the order wrong - there was no avocado spread or tomato on the sandwich. The bread was only okay, nothing special, standard white bread sub roll. The iceburg lettuce was chopped taco topping thin. The meat added salt to the taste of the sandwich but was sparse and textureless. The mayo helping was too generous. Overall, a waste of calories. Eat elsewhere.
