This restaurant is more than 5 stars. Between the taste, the options , the customer service and the price, it deserves 100 stars. There aren't many BBQ places that I enjoy eating at. But I am a loyal customer of Sonny's. The baked beans and the pulled pork are always my favorite things. The burger IS AMAZING. The lemonade too! The garlic bread has plenty of taste, unlike many other restaurants in the area. Every time I order from Sonny's I know I'm in for a treat. With 10$ you have a great lunch ! Plentiful, delicious, and doesn't break the bank. What more can a girl ask for
Yum!! The pulled pork is fabulous! Sweet potato is great and so were the green beans! I wish the garlic bread was more garlicky.
This setting and decor of the place reminded me of a hole in the wall place back home in Oklahoma. The place is a little run down but appears to be clean. The servers all wear street clothes. The salad bar was disgusting looking but tasted okay. I had the all you can eat ribs and they were just okay. I've had better BBQ. Not sure what was up with the different bbq sauces. They were either too sweet or way too sour. For the price, definitely worth it.

We were headed from Miami to the Everglades, with a plan to stop somewhere for breakfast on the way, so when I saw this place in the farmers market, I did a double take and pulled in - because farmers like good food. And this place is great. The atmosphere is like a nice cafeteria. The food was simple, tasty and excellent value for money. The service was friendly and timely but not overbearing. I wish there was a place like this near my house!
I eat out a lot. I guess I am the type of reviewer that usually tends to only write reviews if something is really good, or really bad. Well I must say this was the BEST piece of fried fish I have ever eaten. I had the mahi mahi...wow delicious. Fresh caught that morning, cooked perfectly, not at all greasy, great flavor. My only complaint was... I like a lot of relish in my tarter sauce, and when I asked for a side of relish to add to my tarter sauce, they said they do not carry it. I have been here twice and they didn't have extra relish last time either. But that's my personal preference so I really can't hold that against them. The mahi mahi was so good that next time I will just bring a couple relish packets with me! Not a fancy place but a must try if you like fried fish.
Great local restaurant. Went for breakfast - wanted good, home cooked food and got it. Wonderful, friendly staff. Food was delicious and served fast. Price was reasonable and will certainly return when in the area.

BEST PIZZA IN TOWN!! Oh and the wings are sooooo good :) My favorite place to eat on wednesdays
I've been to the Florida city location a couple of times and every time I come I am welcomed with a hi and a big smile. The food is excellent, & the service is just as great. I usually call ahead and they are accurate on timing of food preparation. My family loves the food so we order at least every weekend. The beer selection is awesome for a pizza place. I promise you will enjoy anything that you get, sandwiches, Phillis or pizza. Best pizza place in homestead!
If this is what Jersey pizza is about I'm disappointed. There is much better pizza places around. Skip it.

these guys are earning the 5 stars for consistency and speed. walk in order, pay, get handed a sandwich by the time you are done paying. not just any sandwich either, what you ordered and well made. this location also has something any man will appreciate, humor. the tile art in the mensroom is a riot! dont look at it till you're done peeing or you will be the sprayer!
Hard dry bread. Low quality ingredients. Poorly trained staff. Our experience did not end well when the employees prepared a dried out miserable tuna sandwich. To make matters worse, the on duty manager acted as if I was wrong for demanding a refund. I only asked for a refund when he refused to correct the sandwich. Which was after he admitted that it looked disgusting. Avoid this place.
Picked up sandwiches from here over the weekend as the hubby wanted to try them and we always hear the commercials on the radios exclaiming they are "freaky fast." They lived up to the fast motto, we ordered and received our sandwiches very quickly and they were prepared to our specifications no mustard... no onions... extra lettuce. My one gripe was that they don't have any other cheese option but provolone. I don't mind provolone but would like a choice. If I had to pick what I liked the most I would say it was the bread, the fillings were just okay. If your menu says medium rare roast beef I expect slightly pink roast beef. That said the medium well roast beef was juicy and not dry. Overall an okay sandwich place but honestly I feel I can get the same quality, size, and price at Publix. Oh and they forgot my chips but I don't know if that was their fault or my husbands who picked up the order. So I won't knock them for it.

It was a great experience all around. The drive was a bit longer than we usually travel for food but it was well worth the trip. We roamed the store for about 5 min while we were waiting for our table. They had all the holiday stuff out for Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas. It was beautiful! The food was great. The service was fantastic. Our server Antonio was very attentive and friendly. He definitely earned a good tip. We started off with biscuits while we waited for our food. My daughter was playing the game with the wooden triangle with pins. Then the food came in a timely fashion. My hubby ordered the country boy breakfast. It came with a sirloin steak, eggs, double hash, grits, and biscuits. We ordered it custom because you have options to chose from. I had the mommas pancake breakfast and my daughter had the kids pancake breakfast. It was delicious! I could barely move when I was done. We even had food left over. Their raspberry lemonade it delicious. Their lemonade is homemade and has lots of pulp. I loved it! Needless to say it was well worth the trip and I would do it again anytime! Wonderful family breakfast!
My family and I drove all the way here from Kendall just to have breakfast; to my delight there was barely a wait, but beware! This place gets out of controlled packed on the weekends! Our waitress was great she was very attentive and brought any extra things(whipped cream for my pancakes) we needed without hesitation. Everyone on the floor was great with a smile on their faces at all times. The decor was fantastic. The food, well i wouldn't drive about half an hour again to have it. The problem is, it tastes like any other breakfast chain restaurant ( ihop, dennys). Same style, eggs, bacon. The problem is I don't eat grits or gravy or buscuit so I am a chain breakfast food person anyway. I love their little shop where you walk in or where you pay, it is so cute! You just want to but everything! Overall, its a warm place with great tasting food nonetheless.
Good food, cute shop, friendly staff. Love it! I come here often with my little family since it's so close by to our hotel. Our food was delicious and it came with a choice of biscuits or corn bread. It was during dinner. We ate there during lunch time and they didn't serve us that so I guess it's a dinner thing? The shop is wonderful. The staff is quite friendly and the house decorations that were on sale were adorable. The candy section was awesome. Mostly vintage candies which was nice. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go!

Capri Restaurant

Reviews:
Come here every couple of months (special occasions) and always have a great meal and service. Way better then Italian chain restaurants.. Always try something different and never have been disappointed. Would defiantly make reservations if going on a Friday and or Saturday night.
I love me a Throwback, and that's what the Capri is. It's been here forever, and before the remodel man, could you tell! It still seems dated to me, but that's part of its charm, in my opinion. Nevertheless, it's an Italian Joint in Florida City, where the pickings are more than slim. Service runs the gamut, but we've never had a bad experience here. On to the food. I judge Italian restaurants by their red sauce. I mean, what better barometer of Italian food is there? Capri's sauce is not watery, flavorful, not too heavy on the red pepper flakes (personal pet peeve.) Thumbs Up. Secondly: Meatballs. I make my own meatballs. Often. They're the best you've ever had. So that being said, I rarely get meatballs while dining out, because I know I'll be disappointed. Capri's meatballs didn't disappoint me. It all started with a Pizza. "Hey they've got Meatballs as toppings on their Pizza" --"Okay, let's get it!" Fast forward: NOMS! Sliced thinly but thick enough to retain their texture, not mushy, not rubbery, not weirdly colored or flavored. Just... Good! (Not my meatballs... but still!) Once, when I was on a no-carb kick, I just got a side of meatball and ate it with a knife and fork. So... Yeah, that says a lot. We've also enjoyed their veal dishes (parm and marsala), chicken dishes (Picatta is a fave), and once even their Prime Rib (A leftover, no doubt, from their earlier days, but a success!) And here's a major bonus: They've got Escarole! Sauteed with garlic and oil and then broiled with breadcrumbs and cheese on top. Yeah. Good. I'm definitely a fan of the Capri. Not that I need an excuse to trek out to the 'Glades and play with some gators, but this makes a nice bribe for dinner on the way back!
Same here.. Everyone IS ALWAYS raving about this place and we as well, decided to finally go. Service was ok and the rolls were good. He had pasta with red clam sauce, I didn't try it but he said it was terrible. I had veal francese, and honestly it wasn't bad, but I did use a lot of parm cheese because it had little flavor (i happen to love parm cheese on everything when I have Italian :)). I also had the carol salad, it was bad. Oh, I almost forgot about the crab stuffed mushroom app., yuck. So needless to say, I wish we woulda went to Olive Garden :) love Olive Garden. Sorry but we won't be back :((

Starbucks

76 E Palm Dr

Reviews:
This Starbucks has messed up my drink every single time I've went there - 5 or 6 times now. Half of those times, it's in an unidentifiable way - the label reads correctly but the drink is clearly not what it's supposed to be (I drink a lot of Starbucks...I don't just go around complaining randomly), and then they act confused by my complaint. My sister has had the same experiences, so both of us only go to the one in Homestead even when that's less convenient or overly busy. It really sucks that I feel like I'm just wasting my money if I go this Palm Drive location, because otherwise this would be an A+ Starbucks - which is why I still gave it 3 stars: they have a drive thru, they're open really late, the inside is really big and has great ambience, AND there's plenty of outdoor seating. I wish I could get the service I get over at the other little crowded one at this place!
Drinks were correct & drive thru service was friendly & efficient.
Of course the major thing recommending this Starbucks is its location right at the base of the turnpike. That said, we also experienced outstanding service here. Our charming barista very cheerfully and helpfully let my wife invent a new banana-chocolate-coffee frappuccino (in an effort to replicate the wonderful Dirty Nutty Dang we experienced in Costa Rica: yelp.com/biz/banana-dang… ), and generally brightened our day.

Denny's has always been the go2 place for after hours. Pretty decent breakfast. My favorite things to order are the Chicken Wings & Shakes ! This place looked a lil run down. I ordered a chicken Melt Sandwhich & the chicken was pink?? white & pink I lost my appetite! Stars are n this specific location.
Food was good. Only "one cook" so service was slow. Waiter very good.
My wife and I ordered the Lumber Jack Slam with two fried eggs, white toast, sausage links, and bacon. The food took forever to come out, the waitress Bianca was lost most of the time, and the sausage links were raw in the middle. They weren't blood red but they were hot pink. The place was pretty dead and the service and food took long. I guess If I absolutely had to stop in and eat I would, deff not on my top list.
