Got a gift certificate about a year ago and decided it was finally time to use it since we were going to be at the outlets anyways. Service was actually pretty good - server was friendly and on top of filling our waters and our food came quickly. The salsa was not salsa, by any stretch of the definition. Maybe we got what was at the end of the container because it seemed to just be a tomato juice with a couple pieces of chopped onion and a stray bit of cilantro, it was...strange. I had a taco salad and my fiance had a burrito. The taco salad was the special of the day which was mango shrimp. I think I may have seen one piece of mango. Shrimp were actually pretty good but that was about it. We both agreed that the beans were very dry and that we could have gotten the same meal, but much better and for almost half the price at Tijuana Flat's.

I went here yesterday and was greeted with some of the most horrible service and the food was just unbelievably bad my wife and I have been violently sick since we ate there. My five-year-old son would not even eat a hotdog or macaroni because it was so sour tasting and when I complained they said that's how it is always served that's how it's supposed to taste it's homemade when you can clearly see it was craft easy mac & cheese. As a small business owner I always give the benefit of the doubt this was the most horrible restaurant I have ever eaten at the money I spent was not my concern but every time I talk about it or think about it it makes me want to puke I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida and I spent 30 minutes finding this on yelp just so other people can realize please stay away go to one of the other restaurants hopefully they're better this was the most non-authentic Mexican food

For a restaurant at the mall, this place was surprisingly good! The portions were huge that my sister-in-law and I shared 1 entree and an appy and were stuffed! We ordered guacamole to start and had shrimp tacos as entree. The guacamole was freshly made. The tacos were great! The shrimp was sauteed well, not overdone which is what people tend to do. It was packed with flavour! It came with a side of mexican rice and beans. The rice were ok not great and so were the beans. The only complaint I have is the tortilla. A fresh flour tortilla should have been used but instead they used premade seemed common out of a soft taco kit. The service was good too. Good plave to try while taking a break shopping.

Looking for Mexican and this was the only place open in the Fort Myers area.. Service was very slow, no hostess, orders came out very wrong, waitress had no idea that one meal hadn't even come out yet. Ordered drinks and we watched the waitresses make them at bar and come out to say it was the first drink they had ever made. Food was edible but not a lot of flavor.

It was a nice enough place and a really good atmosphere. service was attentive. I had enchiladas with shredded chicken and the beans and rice. They were pretty good; maybe needed a little more heat. Would try it again.

This place has gone downhill since we last ate here. The fajitas are bland. Chips are just store bought. Beer was good though. Friendly service does not make up for poor food.

Wait staff is overwhelmed with more then 1 table at a time. Food took FOREVER with only 5 other tables on a Saturday night. Seems over priced for smaller portions. I can't believe this place is still in business. Will NOT be back!

Labamba is probably more than a two-star experience, but still less than a three-star experience (Why doesn't Yelp allow half stars?) Going to the MIromar Outlets is not about the food, but still one needs to stop for some R&R while shopping. Taco salad for DH and beef enchilada for me. Generous portion of beef. First few bites were quite tasty but by the end of the meal, it seemed less flavorful. Limited choice on beers. Doubt if I would return to Labamba.

We went to la bambas for the first time in a long time after a bad experience so we thought we give it another try, wrong again. We were seated by an angry staff as if that we were bothering them. Sat for ten minutes got drinks and waitress disappeared and 20 minutes later we decided to leave its not that they were busy for a Saturday night at 630 pm it was us and 2 other tables so i paid for the soda and rolled out went to cape coral and had el tarascos on pine island rd try this place is awsome by by la bambas it was good when josepi ran the place so i had to give it one star i did get a soda lol

It was just ok. Service was excellent. Food looked good. Tastes a little bland. The chips for the nachos were burnt. They were dark brown with black on the edges. They still tasted alright though. Nothing to rave about. The best part was the guy singing and playing guitar. He seemed very happy and the customers were singing along which was nice. That was authentic and fun. Now I'm feeling nauseated and I'm hoping its not from the food.

Huge portions of Americanized Mexican food; tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, etc. I won't speak to the authenticity, but the quality is there; my wife's tacos had a bevy of fresh toppings (including some extremely nice tomatoes, I'm informed), and my quesadilla was perfect comfort food. As a bonus, when we were there, there was a guitarist performing Mexican and Mexican-American music (I suppose that "La Bamba" isn't traditional?). My daughter loved listening to him, she was giggling and clapping along. This is a restaurant that I'll return to.

Well we just finished eating and the burgers are slightly worse than McDonalds. The burgers are so dry that one of the guys actually set the food aside and didn't bother eating his meal. On a good note the chili re-llano was ok. I had the shrimp version and the shrimp were fine. Now I must admit it was not like any chili re llano I ever cooked or ate. My suggestion. Go some place else. DONT order a burger... The 2 people that had a burger felt horrible the next day. To be honest I am not sure if it was actual meat or one of those meat byproducts.

I love to shop and eat Mexican food so I get the best of both worlds when I visit Labamba in miromar! The margaritas are always amazing, my favorites are the patronrita and passionfruit! Yum! The queso and guacamole appetizers are a must have and the pork tacos are the best I've ever had. My husband loves the enchiladas with the green verde sauce or the shrimp and steak fajitas! Service is always great, overall nice place to eat and relax!

On our way back from Siseta Key, we decided to stop at the Outlet Mall (4 girls - you know we had to)... After looking, trying things on, and spending some money, we all got hungry. Got the rest of our group and we all agreed on this place. Seated right away, it was around 5pm so it wasn't crowded. Jasmine, our server, was great. She answered all questions both in Spanish and English, made recommendations, and even made some adjustments to some orders so that everything cam out as we wanted it. I had the Steak Quesadillas w/o the peppers, and was very satisfied. We all were - no one had a complaint about anything. Everything was exactly as ordered and delicious. Portions are big, prices are reasonable, menu has a lot of things to offer, and they even have daily specials. Very good end to our weekend trip.

We really enjoyed our shopping-break lunch today at Labamba. We started with chips and salsa, which was oh-so-fresh. The salsa had a perfect kick and the chips were obviously homemade and not greasy at all. We each got grilled mahi-mahi fish tacos, which were really tasty. They could have used a bit of guac or salsa, but they were still really tasty. The prices are super reasonable and the food was really good quality. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for outdoor dining in an outlet mall, you've found your place. The food is just average, as is the service. I do have to give props to the tacos, which are nice and crunchy, not soggy like so many mexican joints send their tacos out. Place was pretty empty, luna rossa next door was hopping. The mexican rice is meh. Overall, fills your belly. Chips are really thick, not light like I like em, but that's a personal preference thing.

This was a good place for lunch. The food was pretty good but the service was slow even though the place was almost empty. Would hate to see this place when it is packed.

Bad service, mediocre food. Waited ten minutes for table to be bussed by slow busboy, waited another ten minutes at table until we waived down a server. Immediately gave entire order, drinks and water in case he was hard to find again. Another 15 minutes until drink order came, no water. 35 minutes until food order came, plates hot, food not. Food was ok, nothing special. Enchilada sauce was orange out of a can. It seemed the servers spent most of their time in the kitchen or something. We won't be back.

Decent super-casual Mexican. Full of kids, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, this probably shouldn't be your go-to. Margaritas were deeeelish.

Perfectly adequate Mexican restauant with very good service. We had margaritas and two differnt kinds of burritos. Both were tasty and very generous with meat portions. Chips and salsa to start were a weak link.

Kind owner! Really loved the family-owned atmosphere and the time that the owner took to speak with us and with his other customers. We had a beautiful talk about the struggle of family-owned restaurants against corporately owned establishments and we were touched by his heart. It's nice to see that people still care. Great service and no complaints.

Not a super great experience. The waitress was sweet but very inattentive. The food was not great. However! I gave it a star because the no patrone margarita was delicious.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
