To be honest the best thing about this restaurant was the service. Very attentive and pleasant. The food was just OK. I had the basa (a fish) and my wife had chicken scaloppini. Really nothing to write home about. The meal did come with a potato croquet which was better than the fish. The early bird pricing was a plus. One more pet peeve. We each had a glass of the house Cabernet. It was warmer than even room temperature. I realize a $5 glass of wine is just that, but why can't places like this at least come close to serving wine at the proper temperature?

Pasta was over cooked and the appetizers were okay but not memorable. Best dish was the calamari appetizer. I would not return, as it is overpriced for what it delivers.

Food was average at best, but the service was great. Party of 7, drinks always full and our server was personally great. Pasta was "crunchy", sauce had no flavor, salad had nothing but brown lettuce. Soup was average, chicken was juicy, but the lasagna was NOTHING you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Desserts tasted like they were boxed in the freezer. Try someplace else.

I'm not sure why the reviews are not that good. I've been going to La Stanza's since they were at their old location. I've always enjoyed my meal. My favorite item on the menu is their Bowtie Pasta hands down. I don't frequent the restaurant consistantly so maybe I've been lucky? Personally I've never had a bad meal or experienced bad service. Sometimes it is very busy and we do have to wait (in season) but that's a norm around here. Regardless, I enjoy the place and their food.

Went to Sunday Brunch at least that's what they called it. The buffet was very small and overpriced. The best things on the Buffett was the penne al vodka, veggies an Parmesan crusted chicken even that had too much salt for my liking. The eggs, potatoes, ham were all over cooked an tasteless. I have never went to a brunch that didn't have fresh fruit, bagels, pancakes on it. The Danish were stale. For a resturant that clams to have the freshest ingredients this was a big disappointment. I'm glad we tried it before inviting family. Will not be back

Nice, very clean, with good menu! Will honor your wishes in preparation of an item perhaps not on the menu. Very good service. Attractive Bar at center of an open location. Easy and ample parking in back of building that is well lighted and open. Good food! Comfortable place. Main dishes, soups, and salads are very fine! Welcome appointments. Friendly staff!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
