Great - easy place for really really fresh seafood. The oysters were amazing - it's so full of local color. A real find - not fancy - just good food. While the salad bar was limited - you could add to your servings of vegetables with beets, broccoli and okra.

Stopped here several times while staying in St George State Park. Never had a bad meal and the service was outstanding. The burgers are delicious and huge. My father-in-law was the only person in the family who could eat the entire double stacker bacon cheese burger. And he's the skinniest one in the group. Unbelievable!!! On other occasions I had seafood and my wife are the steak n cheese. Fantastic!! A must visit if you are in the area.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere inside was welcoming and quite pleasant. That said, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for two burgers and a kid's meal. Having to wait this long might be normal on a Saturday at 1230pm, but isn't that when you should be fully staffed and most prepared? At one point, we almost departed before our meals arrived in frustration for having to wait so long. Nevertheless, the burgers finally arrived and were delicious and our kid's fish basket was just as good. The problem seems to be with an understaffed kitchen. Our server was apologetic and demonstrated a sincere willingness to help out as best as possible. We want to give this place a second chance, possibly during off peak hours to see if the service is a little better.

The service was a bit on the slow side, maybe because it's newer and they're still getting the hang of things. They need to get their kitchen staff up to speed. That said, if you prepare for the wait, you'll be rewarded with a fantastic and completely reasonably priced meal. My grouper was delicious, and the other four people I was with enjoyed everything from burgers to oysters.

Don't know if they were having a bad day but we stopped here after the lunch hour for what we considered a late lunch. There were only a few tables filled, so they weren't slammed with customers. We ordered and promptly got our drinks. We waited one hour for 3 hamburgers with sides of fries. Our drinks were refilled once and at some point we were told that there had been a large take out order ahead of us....not sure why that was mentioned, but it didn't help! We didn't get our check right away, so we headed to the cash register. There was a couple ahead of us, talking to the cashier and we waited longer while they completed their conversation. We had asked for a milkshake to go, the cost was $4.00 and it was in a very small take out cup, with very little ice cream. I have to say that the hamburgers were very good, but based upon the service we experienced, we will not be going back any time soon.

To start off, our waitress Emily was wonderful. She had a "small" piece of the local fish, mullet, made for my husband so he could try it before he ordered it for his meal! I was very impressed that they would do that for people but she said that it was a local fish and if you hadn't had it around here you wouldn't know what it tastes like. Turns out it was really good and so were the burgers and chicken strips the rest of the family had. Definitely the place to stop for lunch or dinner!

Bayside burgers needs to step it up. Food very mediocre I would compare it to McDonald's we ordered hamburgers weren't asked how we wanted it cooked, came out our fries and onion rings looked like they had been cooked in old oil onion rings were broken up in pieces had to get in line to pay without a tab because our waitress stepped outside on her cell phone. Outside is cute but not impressed with inside at all or the food.

Don't let the name fool you! I love seafood , my husband won't eat any place that specializes in fresh seafood! Bayside Burger was the perfect place for us. While he ate his Tate's Hell Burger served with onion rings, I enjoyed the best fried shrimp I've had in years. The mini oyster boat used as a salad bar was great. The pictures and framed ads from the past added a special touch. Dinner for two, with drinks and a to go box for less than $20.00,. Great food at a great price! We look forward to our next trip to Franklin County, when we will most differently eat at Bayside Burger!

I was surprised that this place was not previously reviewed on Yelp because it was doing good business and seemed to have been at this location for a while. We were hungry and dropped by for a late lunch, told to sit anywhere and had drink orders taken. When the waitress returned she took our orders - an oyster salad for her and the fried shrimp salad with a side of Cole slaw for me. She promptly brought the Cole slaw (which was quite tasty) and some crackers, and then after quite a while returned and said our order was nearly ready. After at least another 10 minutes she came back again and said we were next up but things were slow because they were changing the oil in one of the deep fryers. What kind of restaurant picks the lunch hour to take a fryer out of service? Meanwhile we saw some customers who came in after us get their food, one of which was an oyster salad. Five minutes later our waitress comes up and says "one of the other waitresses took our order". At that point we got up and left the building. I had hoped that the food here was good (it looked pretty good, the Cole slaw was good), and if other Yelp'ers give this place good reviews I might be inclined to return and give them another chance. Until then, caveat emptor!

We have eaten at Bayside Burgers several times and have enjoyed many different types of burgers, which are excellent. They also have delicious fried shrimp, cold beer and chilled raw oysters. Great cole slaw and onion rings. Their prices are very reasonable. Nice, homey atmosphere. It is not a fast food restaurant, so relax and your food will be worth waiting for.
