this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Doral. portions are just about right for what you're paying. I like to come here for dinner and order the ravioli or chicken. you can't go wrong with what you order. I really like that if you want a different sauce on your pasta or ravioli you can do that since I like to switch it up. Attached to my review are some pictures.

I must say I bookmarked this long ago and have been following them on insagram, all appeared to look like it could be a wonderful experience. Imagine my disappointment when the food was just mediocre. We've had the same food in many other restaurants that were memorable, this one, not much. Don't think I'll be returning. :(

Disappointed. When I heard some of the contestants of Miss Universe dined here I bookmarked it. Not sure if those skinny women actually ate though. For appetizer we ordered the grilled Octopus. For the half portion (costing $13) it was simply OK. Not much seasoning on it, even sprinkled lots of lemon and still tasted a bit bland. Frute di Mare and Costatine Di Manzo Braza (short rib). Looks great on paper, but honestly we've had much better in other places. The Frute di Mare had little sauce, was underseasoned on salt, and was really nothing to write home about. My short rib was a nice sized portion but again lacked on the seasoning. For $26 each dish we simply expected better. Last, but not least we ordered two desserts to try and make up for the dismal main course. The Cannoli was decent, but the Tiramisu was simply outstanding. Unfortunately the Tiramisu was the only hit of the evening - speaking of hits my wallet also took one. In addition, the service was simply Meh. The server didn't seem too interested in his job nor us sitting in his area for that matter. I'm sorry but anytime I drop over $100 on food (didn't even order wine!) we simply expect much better. Two stars, and done.

Came here for a work lunch with my boss. It was okay, the carpaccio was tasty and i had gnocchi as a meal but i did not get a salad or anything to go with it.

Some of THE best italian food I've ever had. From gnocchi to octopus, I haven't had a bad dish. I was in Miami for a month and I came here almost every other day! They even catered an event for us! The hospitality is great, and I love the wine selection! There is also a keyboardist and singer on some nights. Book a table through yelp, fast and easy! Tell them Kevin sent you! Enjoy!

I was disappointed. Maybe it was a bad day because i see a lot of good reviews. What i enjoyed the most was the appetizer but it was not something cooked there, it was the platter of cheeses and ham. My boyfriend ordered the special ( osso buco with risotto) and said it was good but nothing outstanding. I ordered the pasta ai frutti di mare and it was flavorless. I did not eat it and took it home instead hoping i could eat it some other time at home whenever i was hungrier. The cannoli were ok, not impressive. Im giving three because of the ambience and the service overall. Still, i think i'll give it a second try since I see so many positive reviews.

Overpriced. It was my 3rd time in there and I felt that something happened there for bad. The waiter was lazy. We were the ones telling him, we want to order drinks, we want to order dessert, etc. can you bring some cheese, etc. The restaurant was empty, so there was no reason for the bad service. Considering the poor service, I see the menu as overpriced. I ordered spaghetti with Clams and it was not tasty at all. The other members of my party said that they would no return to Trattoria do Campo anymore.

Great service, owner greeted us and explained the restaurant's history and made us feel at home. The waiter was prompt and helpful, the water lady had OCD and kept my cup filled every few sips. Good live piano music at night, gets a little too loud for me, but some enjoy it. Guest WiFi available. The decor is very clean/modern, good taste. The bread was very good, served with a nice olive oil mixed with cheese, good mix and flavor. The Asparagus soup was extremely salty, tasted great, but too salty and that is a problem. The kids order pasta. The plain spaghetti w: butter was good, but served almost cold. The bucatini bolognese is delicious, home made pasta tastes like it and the sauce had plenty of meat and flavor, a bit on the creamy side. My wife special ordered a Branzino Livronese, which they nailed it! Great tasting fish, awesome sauce (tomatoes, capers, olives, broccoli, zucchini) plus amazing grilled potatoes - a hit, but pricy at $34. No time for desert or coffee today, will add-on to the review next time here. Overall, great place w/ some room for improvement, but will be back to try a few other dishes.

Wow. Excellent atmosphere. I got A glass of malbec with an exquisite lasagna that was beautifully done very fresh and well served with ciabatta bread on the side. Service was great and very kind at all times. If you happen to be in the area I recommend this place. Cheers!

I called the restaurant a few weeks back on a Sunday and asked if they do take out dishes. I ordered ravioli. I arrive to pick it up, they charged me $22 for 5 ravioli. They didn't give any side salad or bread or anything with it. I frequent many Italian places and I have never been charged over $20 for ravioli- especially not including any salad or bread. Won't be back.

This is the best place to eat in Doral area! I have been there a few times and everything i order is delicious! I can not pick a favorite yet, i like them all!! The pear stuffed raviolis are to die for! And the grilled salmon is cocked to perfection! And the deserts are exquisites! The staff is very warm and the attention is very good! The best thing besides the food is the weekend entertainment. Live music with piano and accordion. Sometimes they even have someone singing in italian. In my opinion the ambience of this restaurant makes you feel like you are having dinner in Italy. Perfect for romantic dinners or a family gathering!

The tip was included, even though we were only 3 persons, and they charged more than 15%..

Great service, beautiful beautiful small restaurant. Food is amazing...taste like heaven!!! Chef is very nice, I had the pleasure to meet him. The owner walks around the place welcoming his guests. I loved it!!! I will definitely go eat there again even if it is a little pricey!!!

We found this place by mistake. We were looking for the place that used to be there before them. We looked at the environment and decided to go in. We sat by the bar and had the chance to meet the chef. Was during my trimester and I was having problems with my appetite so I asked if he could recommend light pasta for me; he did - Homemade Gnocchi with a very light tomato sauce, basil and fresh mozzarella. Was delicious and It set very well on my belly :) My love tried filled pasta with pear. For him it was delicious but small portion for his size (comes in 6 pieces). The second time we tried Short Ribs. Wasn't what I expected. Too greasy for my taste. Chef wasn't there and that's probably why the food didn't meet my expectations (maybe) Third time was last night. We tried their risotto (1 with mix seafood and 1 with mushrooms) and I don't think I can explain with words how delicious it was. You MUST try it. And did I mention their Panettone Ripieno and Strawberry Tiramisu?? Both are so different from one another but so good that you can't resist but trying both. Overall I'm in love with this restaurant. The chef is awesome and will do everything to make you happy. The singer is also a great addition to this restaurants environment. Clientele started singing with him and so did I. In my opinion this place is a very welcoming warm environment with great service and food.

This is an authentic italian restaurant with homemade recipes at affordable prices. You MUST try the lobster ravioli, it is simple THE BEST!!! Parking is challenging at lunch time; however, you will forget after you try your first bite. Last, but not least, if you decide to try this restaurant, ask for their Nutella Crepe....it is the closest you will get to heaven.

Very nice place, and the food was delicious. The only reason why this place did not get a fifth star because of the quality of service. There were 2 other tables being served and I feel like 2 hours to serve dinner is pretty long. The waiter seemed like he was irritated and was not very helpful in helping us decide what to eat as this was our first visit to this restaurant.

Terrible!!! This is the second (and last) visit to this place (I like to give second chances) and the service/quality of food, etc., was crap! Beware of these 4 star reviews as they are not legit. Whenever a GOOD restaurant fails to provide a first class experience they will do everything possible to offset such by way of goodwill, etc. Good luck to all of the VICTIMS that fall into this "trap." BTW - don't pay attention to all of these 4 star reviews!!! They are staged! No one takes the time to populate their comments with pictures of dishes, etc. I have spoken to a multitude of people that I know that have visited this place and all of them coincide in one thing - this place is no good.

This restaurant is way over priced for the average Italian food it offers. We were the only people there on a Saturday evening. You'd figure the service would be prompt, but they failed in that department as well. I give this restaurant another few months before they close their doors.

Cooks & Crooks The cooks did their jobs. Server 104 thought he would pad our check with a with a double the price of ALL lunch entrees special with a $27 pasta "Special" at lunch (Lamb Ragu ain't Caviar!) It wouldn't have been so bad had we not already picked up their $13.95 lunch special post card at the hostess stand on the way in and was on the table the entire time and which btw includes soup or salad...no choice of an accompaniment with this so called "special". When you fail to say how much while doubling down on price without having the decency to even mention the fact that this "special" is either a "Dinner Special" or a "Double the Price Lunch Special"...and then you have the nerve to tell your customer "you didn't order the Executive Lunch Special" without having clarified your dastardly deed to begin with...U my friend are a CROOK. And as much as I may or may not have liked the Cooks, if I gotta go thru the Crooks to get to the Cooks, then I will choose elsewhere to spend my dough. In Campo's defense...Too many Miami Restaurants pull this scam and I for one have had enough of their disingenuous approach to dining and ripping off their customers. Addio Campo!

Excellent service, the owners went out of their way to make us feel in home. This place have a lot of future and just with some little details to correct. Food is fresh and authentic Italian. The house wine is perfect. They have live music from Monday to Friday after 7:00pm and new dishes every day. Planning to go back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
