Sushi Sake Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Sushi Sake doesn't try to impress by providing the highest quality of sushi, but the where they lack, they make up for by creating flavor combinations that will make you say am I eating crack and why am I addicted? Although lunch time can sometimes be packed (Fridays), I recommend going during the day (Monday-Wednesdays), because they offer discounts and why not save a couple of dollars? Service definitely requires some improvement but the atmosphere is inviting and the sushi is good so I keep going back.

The atmosphere is nice and the sushi specials are great around lunch time if you are in the Doral area. They lack in customer service though, I usually come here for lunch since its nearby and ignore the fact that the service is slow due to how busy it gets. But in this particular visit I ordered the salmon skin roll (mind you, I've tried it at this location before) and the texture of the salmon was crunchier than usual, to the point where it hurt to eat it, my server stopped by to quality check the food and I told her I didn't enjoy the roll, she explained that most people don't like the taste of the salmon skin, which wasn't the issue here. She left the table and didn't even have a manager stop by to check if I was okay. I ended up paying for a roll that I didn't even eat because she didn't even offer to take it off the bill. Terrible experience, won't be coming back!

It's almost 12am... Been on hold for over 5 minutes (up to 10 minutes when I finished this review) just to place a pick up order. Have never ordered from here and I've never eaten here but with the huffing and puffing I got from the girl that answered the phone when I told her I wanted to place a pick up order, to the point that I'm having to wait over 5 minutes (10 minutes when I was done with this review) just to place a pick up order over the phone, just shows me that their customer service sucks. If you don't like your job, don't take it out on people that are just trying to grab a bite. Especially people that are new customers.... Here's a screen shot just to prove how long I've been on hold.... Still no answer....

Perhaps I am jaded, biased or maybe the other reviews have limited experience with good sushi, I don't know. But any place that has tuna tataki in front of me 20 seconds after I order it concerns me...this means it wasn't made fresh. They use panko crumbs out of a bag instead of 'tempura bits' on the rolls. The fish is old, stale and discolored. The rice is tiny grain, smashed, sticky and slimy, telling me that the chef made it yesterday, didn't pay attention to what he was doing with it, and it had no vinegar flavor whatsoever. The wasabe was brown, small and an odd texture, again suggesting it was not fresh. The wait staff were friendly but look and act like they're still in high school. The sake menu is surprisingly robust, but my Ozeki was missing the second metal ring (meaning it had been previously opened) and didn't taste like Ozeki. I'm not suggesting that they poured inferior sake into a upscale bottle, but... The only reason I gave it two stars was that the vegetable tempura was rather fantastic and was a huge portion. But it's not hard to deep fry stuff, eh? I don't think I'll be going back.

Great food And atmosphere with a lack of authenticity. Expensive but savoring. Great for family's and friends and open late.

As the food is delicious and have gone a bunch of times because it is so close to my house, the last 4 times I have gone the service has been horrible. I would go with a friend and we would sit outside, its like if they forget you. It sucks to say I would not go back becuase the food is yummy! but simply I can`t deal with the service anymore. We gave this a shot 4 times sitting outside and it has been the same issues so we give up. So far unless I am forced to go I would go somewhere else or get delivered.

Very poor quality of fish and rice. First of the Spicy Tuna is tuna scrape . Which is the lowest grade of tuna. Second the rice was extremely soggy which means they put too much water in while cooking the rice. I felt like I was in a strip joint instead of a restaurant. Most of the time they were playing adult music videos where women and men were striping and women shaking their butts in underwear. Makes me wonder if they even have a license to show this type of material and music in a restaurant. . Also the food is extremely over priced and slow service. This place gets a F-

Best sushi in town, worst service ever. Bottom line, if you are willing to take a hit on the service for a good sushi dinner go for it, otherwise just look for another place.

It's not my favorite sushi, but I can't say it's bad either. I am a HUGE sushi lover and enthusiast, which means I've definitely had better, but Sushi Sake is actually great. I don't like the service too much, simply because most of the times I've been here, it hasn't been fast or even friendly, however, I don't expect a five star treatment in Doral. Being a local, sadly, I have lowered my expectations. Place is nicely decorated and it's very spacious. Environment is great too and I also come a lot due to convenience. Could definitely improve, but it's still a nice place.

This is such a great neighborhood sushi place. The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. Go to meal: A cold Sapporro and a hot sake with a sashimi special and a tuna diablo roll. The sashimi is very fresh, the rolls have a lot of variety as well.

Came here at around 2 am on a Saturday night & the service was alright. The decor & ambiance were nice, However, the sushi was mediocre. I would only advise to go here whenever there's nothing else open.

Ive been here a couple of times and the service and food are always amazing. The tv's with music videos and heat games are a plus too. The tuna tartare, the calle ocho and the marlins roll are to die for.

The service was great at lunch time. They were quick and both the server and the busser did great jobs. The miso soup was good and the spider roll was fantastic.

well, what can i say that hasn't already been said. you MUST try the dynamite appetizer. the miami heat roll is also a must try item. loved, loved, loved the decor of this place. i'm so happy doral has good sushi!

  • Jennifer S.

The food is good but over priced, the atmosphere is ok (for Doral), but the service is just awful. Always. The staff is dry and doesn't do much. They all seem to hate their job. I only go here because it's the only sushi in Doral that's decent for take out, and it's close to my house. To the reviewer who have this place 5 stars bc she had plantains on her sushi, that's not how useful ratings work. On the food: I've had the same roll various times and it comes out different each time. The fried rice is good and fairly priced for the amount. THEY CHARGE $1 FOR SAUCES. That's annoying. On the service: out of the maybe 12 times I've eaten here, I've had only one good experience with the service. And it happened on a weekday when the restaurant was almost empty. - Once I ate here with a large group, maybe 15. We made sure the waiter could split our checks and take cards and cash. At the end of the meal he very rudely said the credit card machine was "not working" and she could only split two checks. Since several of us had no cash, he suggested we walk across the street to take out cash at a gas station. Meanwhile we saw other waiters taking diners' cards and swiping them without a problem. That's ridiculous. If he's just lazy, he should ask to not work weekends when the restaurant is bound to get big parties. Over a year later, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I had even forgotten about the first incident. But the second time, I demanded that they figure out their machine and our cards miraculously worked. - take out: if they say the food will be ready in 20 minutes, don't show up until 40 minutes later. They're always running late. And check your order before leaving, they've messed mine up twice.

I ordered the yummy roll and it was pretty good until I reached the last three pieces. The avocado slices were hard and inedible. I told this to two attendants and they just said "sorry..." One of the girls told me that maybe the avocado was just "not ready". If the avocado isn't ready, don't serve it! And learn to handle complaints especially if it's your fault. Too bad this place has bad service.

Awesome sushi for a great price. The food was delivered I kid you not, in less than 5 minutes.

Great atmosphere. Wouldnt mind drinking here with friends. The sushi is a little overpriced. Tiger roll was good...but not for price I payed for it and I have eaten sushi all over the country. Your paying for the location and the good customer service.

CAUTION This place has ridiculously over priced rolls, the service is disgusting, the dinner ware is dirty. I have eaten in door and have ordered delivery to stay away from the bad service but tonight they charged me $20 over what the online menu says because "they are in process of changing the prices" I would have taken it, but the manager "Danny" was so incredibly rude that I returned the whole order, I felt bad for the driver who was actually nice and apologized for the mistake but Danny was a complete jerk and I'm not going to let him steal from me. Popped into this place on a whim early Sunday afternoon. First impression when I first walked in was, "Wow, this place is trendy." The red, black, and white decor is chic, and the chandeliers give it a whimsical look. The music though was pretty annoying. Makes it feel like a restuarant/club. But, hey, if you like the type of music they play (upbeat, pop, dance tunes), then it's a welcomed change of pace from most sushi restaurants. The sushi itself was yummy - and that's why this place gets 4 stars. I try to review a place based on food and service even though the ambiance may be a bit disturbing. I had the simple eel roll and tuna roll. Both rolls were perfectly cooked and tasted great. My bf had the tiger roll and he enjoyed it as well. The waitress was nice and helpful. No complaints. They do offer lunch specials Mon-Fri; but, unfortunately, we couldn't partake in those deals since it was the weekend. They were pretty good deals though.

I was with a large group and our waitress did a wonderful job. It was unfortunate her co-workers didn't help support her as we would ask for things and they did nothing. Maybe that's how they operate but a team works much better in that type of environment. Now for the food. Group of 6, each ordered 2 rolls and shared so we got a great sample. The special, what was called "Tropical" was the big hit. We also got the Marlins, the Hollywood, the Margaret, the Yummi just to name a few. They were all good. The ones we didn't like we're the ones that had cream cheese in it. They went WAY over board with it. There was a very wide selection of rolls and good originality. And then came dessert. I asked if anyone else would like to share, everyone said NO... And then the Banaba tempura showed up. After about 15 seconds, additional spoons were being asked for. I'm glad I got help as this serving easily can feed 4 people. I highly recommend the banana tempura dessert. So I bet your wondering why not 5 stars... Well, the support staff was nowhere to be found and we all felt it was quite pricy. Our group travels a lot and eats out just as much so we have a very good gauge on pricing and we felt this was a bit escalated. But the food was good and our waitress kicked butt.

Ehh it was alright, not my cup of tea... most sushi had too much rice ratio and the tuna was not the right color. Lobster blast (3/5) too much sauce and the lobster tail was overcooked Seafood noodles (2/5) tasted like the cheap instant ramen noodles with seafood... Miami Heat roll (4/5) probably the most decent roll Egg drop miso soup (2/5) not worth $5 Salmon skin hand roll (4/5) i liked this one. Service took forever and the food took even longer... i think like an 1 hr... =_= Will only come back if vendor decide to come here again.

I ordered a simple fried rice for take out and the person who picked up the phone was rude and in a rush. I waited a whole hour to get my order and when i went to complain it ended up being the Manager who answered. Horrible customer service on his end. He simply asked me do you want it or not? Surprised he handled the situation the way he did. Love this place but doubt ill return to this location

I have never sat at a sushi bar and not be greeted by the sushi chef, until today. I really wanted to like this place, on top of the outside seating, it's open late. The inside looks extremely classy, very well polished. The waitress was ok. Just ok, but I am used to people in Miami being a LOT friendlier. MIso soup: The first one was sent back as it was cold, but the manager was cool about it. The second one had real good flavor. Spicy tuna hand-roll: the Nori was NOT crispy as it should have been so it kinda fell apart as I tried to eat it, I did not complain because the evening had already gone downhill so far and the flavor was soso, but it tasted like they had doused the tuna with Crystal hot sauce. Too bad, I really wanted to love this place, oh well. Not too expensive, saporo, miso soup and spicy handroll came out to be $17.25 plus tip.

In this place you fell safe, welcomed and are served well. The sushi rolls, appetizers, soup, salads, teriyaki and tempura are all full flavor!

Today was our second time eating at sushi sake, the first time was pretty bad but usually I try to give second chances before reviewing. So here it goes... The place itself is very clean and very um....decorated? Chandeliers everywhere and loud horrible music. The sushi is well...I wouldn't even call it sushi, it was more like a bunch of sweet vinegary rice rolled up. After tonight I promise that no matter how hungry I am and how late it is I will not waste my money here again.

I normally frequent sushi sake in brickell and everything is great however, I can't say the same about Doral. Service was horrible as our waitress disappeared after she took our order and after 20 minutes she came to the table to give the check without us asking for it. She didn't even bother asking to see if we wanted dessert. There seemed to be no sign of a manager anywhere nearby and i don't understand how an establishment such as this one can allow such horrible service. Our waitress seemed like she had just gotten out of bed by how she looked and was dressed. Please hold your employees to a higher standard! The only highlight of the night was the food. Volcano roll, tuna tartar, and special fried rice!

Five stars for excellent fresh sushi, ambience, service. We took a friend who does not like sushi at all and guess what after that night dinner next day she wanted to go back and eat exact same thing. Talking about the freshness of the food and that too coming from a new sushi eater was quite impressive. All rolls are great but our favs are yummy roll, Miami heat and fried rice. The specials on Miami heat game is simple awesome. Highly recommend this place and hope they keep the standards high like until now.

I've been here twice and their shrimp tempura and salmon teriyaki was outstanding. The restaurant is chic with tv's on the wall playing hip hp/R&B/ Reggae. The servers are super friendly and helpful. I like the area and love that it's 10 mins from home.

  • Alex L.

WAAYYY too much vinegar in the rice, way too much rice in the sushi roll. I'm not trying to be a snob about it but I would at least like to taste some fish in my sushi. This place would be great for people who don't really like sushi but love the idea of being in a trendy looking "sushi" bar.

OK, so originally i didn't want to come here because i had terrible experiences in the past @ sushi sake on 135 & Biscayne! This place....... completely different story! First off the place is immaculate. Very clean, organized and on point waiters and hostess. The owner was extremely nice and went out of his way to explain any questions we had for him and made sure we where happy with what we ordered. I'm a sucker for decor and ambiance. This place is super nice and trendy yet cozy. They decked it out, tons of flat screens playing an array of music videos. The best part... infused sake.. reminds me of stolis. They had pineapple and leachy sake and another one that i didn't try. I'll never drink regular sake again!!!!! Here's what i had: *LEACHY SAKE (must try) *ANGELROLL (my favorite) *ROCKSTAR ROLL *JB ROLL *THAI DONUTS last but certainly not least... *FRIED BROWNIE W ICE CREAM FILLING! (i died, delicious)

I came twice...to the restaurant. This place is definitely an after midnight kind of restaurant. If you're like me and are willing to eat sushi at any time during the day, night, 365 days a year and on February 29 on leap years (hint hint) then this place is right up your alley. No need to be sad at 2 am because even if you had a sushi making kit, the rice always comes out wrong. Sushi Sake is open til...I think forever, but accurately I believe 5 am. THE FOOD: Like many sushi places they have cool names for their specialty rolls. Sushi Sake names the rolls to appeal to different kinds of people. Anywhere from Miami Heat Roll to the Calle Ocho roll (both highly recommended.) When I first read the menu I was not a believer and would not fall for this cheap trick...2 visits later and a few rolls down, I clearly have eaten both my words and my sushi. Try this place out. Totally worth it, after midnight.

  • Lisette O.

I think they should focus more on quality food than the decor. The place was very good looking and service was great but I wasn't much a fan of the food. I got the pineapple fried rice and my girlfriend got the Miami Heat roll. The pineapple fried rice was very greasy and had too much pineapple which made it too sweet. I felt like it had more of a Hispanic taste than an Asian one which isn't so bad, but bad if you're craving asian food. The Miami heat roll was nothing crazy either, I've tried better. I don't think the food was worth the price that it was which was a bit expensive for the quality of food. Overall I don't think I would come again.

Delivery sucks. 1 1/2- 2 hours of waiting. And to pick up food 30-45 mins. Food arrives cold and orders missing stuffs. Overall think they need to organize themselves better.

I've been passing by this Restaurant for quite sometime on my way to work , and last week a couple of friends and I decided to pay a visit. The decor is very chic and inviting. Our waiter was extremely nice, he even offered complementary lyche sake which was really good!! I decided to order the Miami Heat Roll, my friends ordered the dynamite appetizer which was amazing! and the fried squid tempura and a couple of hand rolls. For dessert we had the ice cream and banana tempura..it was soo good!! Overall, we had a great evening, service was on point and the food was delish! So happy to have a good sushi place close to home!

This review is based on their delivery service which was awful. Ordered lunch for myself while at work and was told it would take 45min-1 hour. Waited an 1 and 10 minutes with no food so I gave them a call to see if it was on the way. They assured me it was and would be there promptly. Waited another 20 minutes and still no food. called them again to cancel it and they gave me a hard time saying it was not their fault because they tell everyone over the phone that it can take 1-1 and a half hours to get the food. When I explained that that was not what I was told and wanted to cancel it, the person on the phone continued to tell me that it had not been that much time by stating the time that I made my order and the time it was now and saying it had only been one hour. Which was ridiculous because even by the time he was stating it had been an hour and a half already. Had to cancel the order and I will not be ordering from here again.

It's a shame for me to post this because I have been an avid sushi sake customer since they first opened. I went with a group of seven people on Saturday night and was beyond disappointed with the service. We sat at an outdoor table and it took about 20 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us. I think if we saw our waitress 2 times it was to much. She was nowhere to be found. When it was time to pay we took our checks to the front ourselves because our waitress wouldn't pass by. Only good thing I can say about this place is that their food is just as amazing as any other Sushi Sake restaurant. Sushi Sake continues to be one of my favorite restaurants, I however, will not be returning to this location.

Where do I begin? The fact that the service is so horrible and no one there gives a sh*t, or that the food is overhyped, overpriced, and small portions. Anyways... My man and I went to this place for a friends birthday. THE PLACE IS TINY. Minimal people apparently means minimal service. It was only a party of 10 and this guy had NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING. He forgot our order, my friends orders, didn't know what belonged to who, try to sell my boyfriend. A USED BEER! Yup you read right. Need I say more? I hate giving bad reviews but when the service is like that, tI cannot avoid it.

Went to sushi sake last night was sat right away by hostess, then sat waiting to be acknowledged by someone, anyone! After 20 min went to the hostess to ask if someone was planning on attending to us. She apologized, walked away then came back to tell us the waitress would be with us but that she would take our order. With that said the hostess attended to us most of the night. The waitress came with our wine and sake to the table, didn't say hello or apologize for the wait, poured our wine said enjoy and walked away. Our sake bottle was never opened for us.... We again asked the hostess for another item since our waitress was no where to be found, then only began to see our waitress twice within 5 minutes when it was closing time which I was not going to rush on their behalf when I'm here longer due to not being attended. It was obvious there was some staff outing as the girls all left which our waitress never came to say someone else would attend us or anything. The manager and a gentleman gave us our check and I proceeded to ask the manager for the hostess and waitress name and manager did not seem concerned as why or ask how everything went. I never rant on or leave reviews but the service was just plain horrible and ridiculous, I am a manager of a retail location and I understand late customers and wanting to leave but there's no excuse for poor service. 2 stars only for food and hostess

The decor is very modern and cool. They deliver and have pretty fast service. The Sushi is good too, but you are definitely paying an up charge for all the fancy shinny mirrors and back splashes on the walls. They even charged me extra for my side of spicy mayo. The ambiance is nice and you will feel like you are in South Beach or Brickell instead of Doral. Be prepared to pay the price as if you actually are in those locations.

    (3)
  • Primo L.

Good lunch choice for Doral. The decor is more suited to a South Beach boutique hotel than a sushi joint, which to Primo is a plus. Lively tunes played at a level where you can still hear yourself and the others at your table, and the sushi I had (JB and tuna roll) tasted very fresh. Glad to have found this Sushi Sake location, I'll definitely be back.

A nice little modern sushi restaurant that's sure to tickle your fancy with it aesthetics, friendly service and its menu. Everything is fresh and tasty. There is seating inside and out as well. I would take advantage of the wonderful weather we are having and take a little sit outside. Everything is reasonably priced and everything is worth trying. Happy eating, everyone.

I actually love this place! They have an appetizer called firecracker, which is a special one only this location has, that's really really good! My favorite sushi roll is the Miami Heat and their fried rice is amazing as well with this shrimp sauce they have! And lets not even talk about their amazing brownie tempura which is to die for!!!! When I can't go here to eat I often still come at least just for the dessert because its that good! The service we have gotten has always been pretty good too and the wait is not usually bad so that's nice!

Can never go wrong with the Angel and Dragon rolls which are also the most popular. Only annoyance is that the tables are so close together..um I don't really want to hear the neighbors convo's. They have an option for brown rice and Only sushi spot in Doral open until 12, so its a keeper!

  • Michele R.

Food is AMAZING... had a Calle Ocho Roll and it fulfilled 2 cravings... sushi and cuban food.. on of the best experiences .. If you have ADD you will have to try hard to focuse as the video screens are playing al sorts of videos, but over all a fun place to eat with great food!

  • Kristen M.

I love the sushi sake on bird and 146 ave so I figured they are consistent and serve the food exactly the same etc etc. I find the rolls at the one on bird to be much tastier than this one... I am not sure but the other ones have so much flavor that set Sushi Sake apart from the others. Maybe it was the chef of the day, I am not sure. I had the Miami Heat roll that was on special that night. Other than that the rolls are a bit pricey and I hate the $2 add on for soy paper (really?) & the $1 add on for brown rice. Plus $1 for the sauces and stuff. I find that to be a bit unnecessary...

I was staying across the street at the Intercontinental and walked across the street to this place. First impression was it was nice but I wasn't sure if this was a sushi bar or a club.... As i was sittng down at the bar I said hi to the sushi chef, who really didn't acknowledge me...usually the sushi chefs greet you but not the case here. I was quickly approached by another server that told me i needed to order through him and he would put the order into the sushi chef....Just a wierd set up considering the sushi bar is all of 7ft so its cramped and crowded. I ordered a roll and a few pieces of sushi. The sushi pieces we're small, overpriced and the fish didn't seem fresh and the rice seemed over cooked and mushy... I've had better sushi in KS honestly. The service was fine. I won't be back

  • Cosette T.

This place was a total bummer. They should focus on the food and a little less on the decor and club-like ambiance. Food had what I can only presume to be large quantities of MSG as we left here not only unsatisfied, but incredibly thirsty and anxious. Will not be returning.

This location is hit or miss sometimes. I work near this Doral location and it's the best Sushi in the area. I frequent about twice a month. FOOD IS GREAT! Sushi is always fresh and consistant in quality. SERVICE SUCKS!!!! I have had the rudest waitresses ever. The one great server I have had here is no longer working there which is a shame. They always have new people working there which I can understand but they need to hire servers that are friendly and can multi-task.

As some of the previous posters mentioned, this place is very chic. The decor is on par with far pricier restaurants, and they have a nice outdoor seating area to boot. The staff is very attentive and service is relatively quick. They also have more flat screens than a sports bar, which is completely unnecessary since the space is not that large, but what the hell, I suppose you can never have too many TVs. The food is tasty, but nothing out of this world. I tried the Rock Star and Black Jack rolls, and neither disappointed. I have nothing to complain about, but I wan't impressed enough to sing their praises, either. Although the place is definitely worth trying out, it wouldn't be my first choice. PS: If you're taking a girl out but don't want to miss the Heat game, bring her here. The aforementioned multitude of TVs make it easy to watch the game from any angle while still paying enough attention to the lucky lady without infuriating her. Also, the Miami Heat roll is $8 (rather than $10) when the team is playing. You're welcome, fellas.

Sushi sake is my go to susi place if im in the mood for some yummy fried rice and sushi rolls. I like this location much better than the one on bird. Way bigger and more space to actually get to your table! Try the shrimp shumai and the angel roll or miami heat roll!

Based on the special friend rice and thai doughnuts alone this place gets FOUR stars but, I also had sushi and gyoza which, was nothing out of this world. The steamed Gyoza came with eel sauce (weird). I will give this place another shot as this review is based on a take out order.

All of the plates I ate were flavorful, filling, and fresh. The meal was light and satisfying as a sushi place should be. Our server was pleasant and helpful. I loved the modern decor too.

Sushi Sake's decor and music video entertainment is what makes this place so cool. I'm a huge fan of fried rice and that place does it best. Even though the fried rice is a bit pricey ($6-$10), it's about 2 huge portion sizes in one. I'm a huge fan of a restaurant called Samurai, and I'm pretty sure the owners of Sushi Sake stole the secret recipe of Samurai's fried rice and famous shrimp sauce (aka pink sauce), because it tastes exactly the same. Sushi Sake has many locations in Miami, but I've only been to the one in Doral and in Brickell. The food and decor is pretty much the same at both locations. The sushi is A-OK / good, but I've definitely had better quality sushi at other places in Miami. Sushi Sake typically tends to load up their sushi rolls with more rice and a smaller portion of fish then I would like. It's good for romantic date, large party, or a casual night out. If you like fried rice, I highly recommend you give it a try.

I had dinner here last night. The food and service is IMPECCABLE! This is by far, the best Sushi restaurant in Miami! I really love this place, from the music playing on their TV's displayed throughout their restaurant, to the amazing decor, to the freshest food in town. Our server was so pleasant and wonderful, they made our experience just that much better. If you are lucky, you might even see a famous person dinning here! 5 stars all the way!

Not worth the wait especially during lunch hour. I don't think I should pay $1 for some spicy mayo. The food was ok I had a tuna roll and haven't been back in about 3 months so it might be a better now. Meh...

I absolutly love this place! The food is AMAZING! I prefer to sit outside because the music inside can be loud but they have a tv outside so you can still see the music videos they play just not as loud. The decor is very modern. Not typicl sushi restraunt style but thats cool. I've had a few different rolls & they were all great. The desserts are also yummy! The services is always nice & you get your food quickly. I recommend this place to all sushi lovers. You just have to be open to the fact that the music can be loud. I took my mom once & it was alot for her. Once we sat outside she was fine. Try it out!

I like the service and the food was delicious. We went on a Tuesday and restaurant was busy with pick up and deliveries. It's a very nice decorated spot inside and out and the restroom impeccable, that's a plus on its own. I loved the TNT roll and the Angel rolled recommended by out waitress was amazing. Will probably become a regular, we love Sushi and its so close to our house.

Very nice set up, music was played at a good level to carry a conversation. The rolls...not the best i've had, too sensitive kept breaking on me. Service was bad, waiter seemed annoyed with us right from the beginning.

Mediocre at best. I can only say my one encounter is take out from them, which left me pretty disappointed. My order, first of all was wrong. I ordered a Salmon roll, a JB roll and a Tuna roll. Yes, the salmon and the JB are pretty much the same thing, but I didn't want cream cheese in my salmon roll. Too bad, got it anyways. I love Sushi, and I've eaten it in many places all over Miami. These were the tiniest rolls I've ever seen. If I had dined in, I would have sent them back. The salmon rolls were the diameter of a quarter, the Tuna even smaller, I didn't know you could make them that small! The only thing it had going for them was that it was fresh tasting and that should I feel the need for late night sushi, this would be it. There are MUCH better places for sushi in Doral...Sushi Runner being one of my favorite and and Yuki Hana, another favorite.

2hr:45 minutes. This is how long my miserable restaurant experience took. Although the ambiance is chic and fabulously post modern, the bads outweigh its decadence. The service was not particularly up to parr, it was one of THE WORST restaurant experiences I have ever had. The waitress seemed to get upset every time I would ask her for something, she made so many impolite gestures that her energy began to manifest itself into my meal. The sushi tasted much like the local sushi buffet on sunset place and 87th . Our dessert took so long to arrive, my stomach began to hurt and I politely told the waitress I no longer wanted it after she finally decide to walk over our table after about good 20 min. with still no dessert. She did not even conjure up an excuse as to why the dessert was delayed, I told her I no longer wanted it and she gave me an angry face AGAIN . After 5 more minutes she brought over the dessert and forced it on me, she even included it in the bill after my request to forget about it. There was no doubt in my mind that she inserted some "special sauce to the condensed milk (thai donuts). To top off our experience we decided to take the leftovers to our cat and the waitress threw the bag and take out box on top of the soy sauce and walked away. SHE THREW IT! It wasn't my imagination, I assure you. My bf is the most patient and understanding person in the world, even he was losing patience and decided to leave her a 10% tip out of politeness. If it were up to me, she would not have been so lucky. There was no excuse for her behavior. This place should take responsibility for the attitude of its servers and teach the hostesses to smile and actually greet the new coming customers. Overall, the food took forever, the service was terrible, not so great quality food- definitely on my poop list.

Stopped here completely on a whim as we were meeting up with friends and really didn't know much about the area. It was a pleasant surprise considering the type of plaza it was located in. Chic & elegant decor, TVs all around, and a very welcoming staff. The food came out quick, it was fresh, made to order, and quite tasty. No complaints with this place overall, except for the fact that its decor made it look like it belonged on Lincoln Road, not off of 25th St.!

I really like this place, convenient right across from the hotel, had a menage a trois wine, no not a threesome!! LOL! one of the greatest wine to have with sushi/sashimi. great atmosphere and it's open till 5AM! What a deal. definitely come back here again if in town!oh yes one more thing if you are planning on ordering desert, make sure you have room for it because its a huge portion, you can perhaps sure with 3 to 4 people unless you are good with finishing it yourself :)

This place is over rated by some and perfectly on point by others. Ive been to two of these establishments and both ended in the same way.....totally dissatisfied. When my wife and i eat sushi we spend an easy $100 and tip gratuitously. We usually like to sit at the bar and order straight from the chef. The chefs employed by these places are pompous and arrogant. I feel sorry for the staff who has to deal with them. The hostess seemed very nice both physically and personally only to be shot down by the chefs. On our way to be seated the chef started barking that he doesn't talk to customers. Too bad that this place focuses on looks more than service. It probably explains why it was empty. We actually left before ever being seated.

Sushi Sake's new location in Doral tries very hard to be a hip spot. I can best describe it as eating sushi at Forever21 (you will understand what I mean when you step inside and see the cheap decor). Let me not even mention the unprofessionalism that is their staff; their staff is too "new" at waiting/serving so expect to have order mix-ups (happend twice; different occasions). Their food is sub-par; not too shabby and decent portions. Just "okay". I recommend their wahoo tataki and the Hollywood roll. Overall funky atmosphere, weird incense scents may throw you off, but luckily they are open untill 3am on weekends and beats Denny's when you're getting out of the club.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. For some reason I thought it was just a typical hole in the wall sushi place, but it seems their menu had larger variety than I gave it credit for. I went during lunch and opted to order off their lunch menu. Prices were fair and they had some good options. I got a vegetable fried rice and the Miami Heat roll. The fried rice was outstanding! Once of the best hibachi fried rices I have had before. I would definitely get it again. As for the sushi, I thought it was decent but not my favorite. It wasn't the fault of the restaurant, I just don't think it was what I was expecting. I'll be back again. They also have a hidden little outdoor seating area with fans and a light mist for those hot Miami days. Definite consideration points!

This place used to be one of the best sushi sake in miami (food quality) but now the food is ok and the service is not good im sorry i was there last Sunday at night and I'm not coming back again. I leave 3 stars because the food come out fast.

  • Elyse M.

I love this place. The fried rice tastes like the Hibachi fried rice from Samurai. My favorite rolls here are the Angel Roll, and the Miami Heat roll which are both on their happy hour menu which is from 4-7pm. The place is very clean, and very nice. The cheesy 90's music videos is the only tacky part about the decorum, but if you have a good sense of humor, they can be very entertaining. More importantly, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff is attentive, and there's a ton of locations around South Florida.

I went to this place for the first time about 3 years ago and did not like it. Decided to give it another go recently and was very happy I was open for a second round. Good quality sushi and best of all they close very late at night (or early morning, depending how you look at it), so I'll be frequenting it more often after-hours.

This review is not based solely on the service, or the cleanliness of the restaurant, it's not about décor or even the price people often complain about. This review is solely based on the magnificence of the genius who invented the Calle Ocho Roll and to me this creative genius deserves a 5! It's like my dream came to fruition and it's all encompassed in this Asian roll with a Spanish twist. We are talking ham croquettes, avocado and asparagus topped with sweet plantains, eel sauce and potato sticks; so yeah its really far out to call it sushi but who cares- it's still awesome! Some may dispute it's not authentic to its origins or that its pricey or too cool- but for my likes- it's just what I need when I can't decide whether to eat Cuban food or sushi- Why allow the mind to struggle? Save the energy and eat a hybrid of the two! Sushi Sake is hip and trendy...a chic version of your traditional idea of a sushi restaurant and the type of place you go into and feel cool. They play music videos, they have flat screens, the waiters/waitresses are all young cutie patooties and the drinks and rolls are modern twists on anything and everything appealing and delicious. The roll is definitely a favorite for me regardless of the good/bad experience. I've come multiple times and if service is shaky, I just close my eyes and focus on my roll and savoring every bite!

My experience with this place started in a slow pace of disappointing, which was escalating each time I was giving this restaurant a chance, to see if I'll change my opinion about it after all...The long story is short, first time I was there the waitress, who served us, was kind of rude and with no manners, well, I went back, the next time, because my husband really liked their special fried rice. But all other times the waiting time was ridiculously long(!!!) attendant was serving people, who got there later than us and also bringing the Rene Sushi Roll with the raw salmon (when it's suppose to be backed). But my last blow up was today, when I felt like eating sushi and decided to pass by this place, the only reason, because of the close location to my house. I asked for an order to go, because I had my infant baby with me. I was waiting half an hour outside for just 2 sushi orders. When my husband got tired of it, he went inside to see what happened, and they just simply had our package standing there who knows for how long, knowing that we were waiting all this time. Of course sushi was not as fresh, as it was expected. Last time I went to that place, even though I'm such a big fun of Japanese food.

Waited 1hr after I had called over the phone to have two rolls made for pickup. The manager on duty never came to speak to me to apologize for the wait. Horrible customer service. Haven't ate there in a long time, now I know the reason why. MIYAKO JAPANESE RESTAURANT down the street has better sushi and better service but they do close at 9pm.

Been to many sushi places, sushi sake "taste wise" is a 5 star. The place is a bit too small for the amount of tables they have in there but other than that, everything was great. Had brown rice and chicken teriyaki , DELISH!!!! Wish they would've re-filled my water and that it was more spacious.

I place an order from deliver at this place an it took the driver 2 hours to get to my house yesterday. The day was not that bad for for a 2 hour wait. The driver state that there were a lot of accidents but this place is is online 2 miles and the place of the accident where not in his way. Will never order from this place again.. if he would have called an say hey I am running late then I can understand but I had to call the restaurant to see where he was at..

Food was good, however there was an incident that made my blood boil. I went with my best friend on a girls night and we ordered two drinks, two angel rolls and a brownie cream, the check came with $44 and some cents, we gave the waiter $50 and never heard from her again. I am a type of person who always leaves tip but don't steal my money. I give you either 15% if the service was good or what I can give, you simply don't decide what money is yours or if I want change or not. We waited like 20 minutes and nothing she didn't even come outside to attend the other tables while this was happening. Five bucks is seriously nothing but the rudeness is just priceless. This is prove of a lack of good service and a whole lot of rudeness. Super disappointed.

Its the type of restaurant where "kimchi" its mistaken as a sauce . If you like to eat Maruchan Ramen, go there, they have it for 8 bucks. Sushi is extremely big for you to eat it with one bite, not elegant at all. Took us 15 min or more to get just water. Plates are really expensive and the place is really loud and cold. You need to raise your voice to speak. In the scale of 1-10 in a Japanese restaurant scale, I would give it a 1. Menu isn't diverse at all. Finally they have a Mandatory Tip of 15% and still suggest you to give more. I like to give tips, but I hate when a company includes a tip without notice. Though legal, tipping is generally voluntary. For the expensive dishes and plates, the night was a waste of money. Again with the Kimchi issue: Please teach your staff what are they serving, its just dull and disappointing that one of the most famous asian dishes is mistaken as a sauce.

This has been our favorite sushi restaurant in the area for a while. Great sake creations, food, etc. The last two times, however, service has been terrible. Waitress takes our order and then disappears. We don't see her for the rest of the night. We have to flag down other waitstaff that passes by the table for more water and any other needs we might have throughout the dinner. We figured out she was also stationed outside, which means she might be overextended. They need more wait staff or a better structure to their supporting staff.

WAAYYY too much vinegar in the rice, way too much rice in the sushi roll. I'm not trying to be a snob about it but I would at least like to taste some fish in my sushi. This place would be great for people who don't really like sushi but love the idea of being in a trendy looking "sushi" bar.

ENTER THIS "RESTAURANT" AT YOUR OWN RISK ONLY PUT A STAR BECAUSE WEBSITE ASKS BUT THIS PLACE DESERVES NO STARS! THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE

  • Katrina P.

  • Agatha C.

Can never go wrong with the Angel and Dragon rolls which are also the most popular. Only annoyance is that the tables are so close together..um I don't really want to hear the neighbors convo's. They have an option for brown rice and Only sushi spot in Doral open until 12, so its a keeper!

This place was a total bummer. They should focus on the food and a little less on the decor and club-like ambiance. Food had what I can only presume to be large quantities of MSG as we left here not only unsatisfied, but incredibly thirsty and anxious. Will not be returning.

Try it out!

  • Maria B.

Been to many sushi places, sushi sake "taste wise" is a 5 star. The place is a bit too small for the amount of tables they have in there but other than that, everything was great. The driver state that there were a lot of accidents but this place is is online 2 miles and the place of the accident where not in his way.

I've been here twice and their shrimp tempura and salmon teriyaki was outstanding. The restaurant is chic with tv's on the wall playing hip hp/R&B/ Reggae. The servers are super friendly and helpful. I like the area and love that it's 10 mins from home.

WAAYYY too much vinegar in the rice, way too much rice in the sushi roll. I'm not trying to be a snob about it but I would at least like to taste some fish in my sushi. This place would be great for people who don't really like sushi but love the idea of being in a trendy looking "sushi" bar.

ENTER THIS "RESTAURANT" AT YOUR OWN RISK ONLY PUT A STAR BECAUSE WEBSITE ASKS BUT THIS PLACE DESERVES NO STARS! THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE

  • Arlemarie M.

  • Katrina P.

  • Agatha C.

Can never go wrong with the Angel and Dragon rolls which are also the most popular. Only annoyance is that the tables are so close together..um I don't really want to hear the neighbors convo's. They have an option for brown rice and Only sushi spot in Doral open until 12, so its a keeper!

This place was a total bummer. They should focus on the food and a little less on the decor and club-like ambiance. Food had what I can only presume to be large quantities of MSG as we left here not only unsatisfied, but incredibly thirsty and anxious. Will not be returning.

  • Maria B.
