Original Pancake House Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

On Sundays, this place gets crowded for brunch. Now, on a Monday you get the same food and great friendly service for the same price and no wait time. They only serve breakfast and a lot of food for the price. Waffles are my favorite and they make'em tasty and whipped! Mmm with sliced bananas on top too! My sister loves the French toast and my dad is all about the Eggs benedict. Nothing wow like a fancy dish at a gourme restaurant but simply hits the spot, he says. Again, price is what it should for breakfast. I wish I could make it more often during the week but I just got to run... Sorry, no mucho to say more. Got to run!

SLOW!!!!! 30 minutes to get 2 eggs and bacon out of the kitchen.... seriously?!? The orange juice machine was broken and there was more people trying to fix that than worried about getting us breakfast before lunch time. go someplace else for half way food service!

Best breakfast I had in a while. I got sausage and eggs, simple yet good. I was please they offered a choice of toast or pancakes and even more pleased I could get a biscuit as my toast option. The service was friendly and worked pretty fast considering how slammed they were. Everyone else at my table had a great meal. I wish there was one closer to where I lived because I would eat there every weekend.

Love their hash browns but they make the BEST french toast with strawberries!!! I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it!!! Their food is good and the portions are HUGE!

Yummy homemade corned beef hash and gluten free pancakes! The OJ is amazing - tastes like fresh Florida orange juice.

Sunday 10/14 11am. The place is crowded, our wait was 17mimutes not bad at all. Our server lady (Kaye) was LOVELY, attentive and prompt. Food was clean & tasty. Their "Dutch Baby" was excellent with my cup of Joe. Definitely coming back

I love coming to this place for breakfast on Sundays. It's a nice and friendly place. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and tastes great. I usually have the 49res flap jack they are thin pancakes not the usually ones. The western omelet is also really good. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants to try something different.

The food is good, although this place is always packed and there's always a wait. Usually they try to seat you quickly. That day I thought everything was just OK.

I had a great experience here. The food was great and the service was really good. Our waitress was very patient in explaining the menu to us since it was my husband and I first time here. The wait is long but that's expected in most places on Sundays. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Jesus! What terrible service! I went last weekend and they told us it was an hour wait. Too long, but we were willing to wait. An hour and ten minutes later, we asked when they would seat us and they claimed someone else took our spot - which was impossible because we stood by the stand the entire time. We were finally dated, waited ten minutes for drinks and another 40 for our food. It ended up being over a two hour breakfast at this awful establishment. Never again!

Came here for brunch on a weekday with a group of friends. One big plus about this place was how nice the waitress was! We kept adding tables together as our party got larger, and she was gracious about it and didn't make a fuss at all. I ended up ordering one of their famous omelets with a side of pancakes. There is a disclaimer on the menu that the omelets take at least 20 minutes to make -- we had to wait a little longer, but we had a large party so I wasn't upset. But wow, when my food did finally arrive, my first thought was: "this was way too much food for me." Not a complaint, more of an observation. The reason I'm giving the restaurant 2 stars is that after waiting half an hour for my omelet that was beautifully described in the menu, I was sorely disappointed with the food that was brought to the table. The omelet was huge, yes, but it was tougher than plastic and very difficult to cut through. The cheese wasn't melted (maybe it was at one point but then hardened up as the omelette cooled - it was about room temperature when served), and was instead a large ball in the center and bottom of the omelet, which was also dry. Then, the pancakes -- I had asked for powdered sugar on top of my pancakes, which were also served cool/room temperature. Instead of a sprinkling of powdered sugar on top of the pancakes, there were heaps and heaps of sugar -I couldn't eat a bite of pancake without also getting a huge spoonful of chalky, dry powdered sugar in my mouth. Not pleasant. I was hoping for better food at this pancake house, especially after hearing good things. I probably won't be returning, as even Denny's hasn't disappointed me this badly before.

Over priced, stupid waitress, lack of communication, and crappy food, save yourself the headache and go to IHOP.

I came here expecting a regular breakfast from a franchised restaurant. To my biggest surprise my breakfast was amazing ! I had the waffle with bacons and a side of hash brown and let me say I licked my plate clean. The waffle was so good with the maple syrup I practically sucked in all my food. Hash brown was great and crispy :) the orange juice was awesome. I can't wait to come back ! I hope it's consistently this good ! I also had great service greeted quickly ,seated quickly and food took no more than 10 mins to come to our table.

Found this place on yelp and glad I did! As I drove by, I saw a line of people outside, I expected to wait for an hour but on the contrary they gave us a table in 10 minutes which didn't ruin my mood as we were very hungry! Now for the food: We had a Spanish Omelette, which we ordered with no cheese and it ended up being a little dry so next time we'll order it with cheese :) The french toast was delicious! Something I'm really looking forward to having again. We also had their pancakes with the seasonal fruits on top which was delicious! I mean it is the House of Pancakes. And lastly the eggs Benedict were very good, not the best I've had but satisfying to my taste bud. This was shared by 4 people and we all came out rolling out of there! A must try for brunch :)

So sad to see a good place go downhill. Service was mediocre at best, food was bland and warm. Worst part in my opinion is when we arrived at 3pm on Saturday (Closes at 4pm) they were already breaking down and beginning their cleaning and closing procedures. Not real nice when you're trying to enjoy your meal and you get a waft of cleaning solution. I understand the staff wants to go home but at last wait until you lock the doors. When we asked for the manager to give some feedback we were greeted with crossed arms and besides I don't think she understood what we were telling her. I think there was a language barrier, moving on, she just muttered "I'm sorry." And that was it. Well OPH, it was nice knowing you. Save your time and find some other place to eat. This one is not worth the trouble.

The service at this location was a little off, but the food is always awesome. I had the chocolate chip pancakes, country fried steak and eggs with a coffee. If it wasnt for the poor service, i would have given this place 5 stars.

Love everything about this place. Too bad that when I crave it late at night they're closed. Wish they opened till later hours. The server ladies are so nice! They make you feel so welcome!

Nice and clean place. Freshly squeezed orange juice was really good. We tried the eggs benedict and they were good and the original waffle was great. We ordered a side of hashbrown that were very good. If I were to compare this restaurant with any ihop or dennys this will be my top choice. Cons: even though the server was very nice he was kind of slow. We even have to ask another server to call him for us in order to get a refill, and also to get our bill.

The food is good. The price is good. The service was good. Only negative is its REALLY noisy..... so conversation is not happening. I would definitely come back!

Delicious egg white mushroom omelet with the Spanish sauce. Cinnamon Nut French toast is amazing! I definitely would get this again. Our server was great, she was funny and checked in on us often. Definitely will go back.

I am basing this review off my recent order. I usually order my food to pick up along with my co-workers and I have to say I'm very disappointed. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and only received 1/2 a sandwich that was cold and black potatoes because they were burned..$8 for this ! I could have went to Dunkin Doughnuts and spent less and received something more appetizing. So I decided to call to speak to manager and instead of apologizing he gave me excuses. Why would a mngr argue this complaint instead of rectifying it?There is no excuse, it's not like we picked the order up late, which is no excuse for cutting my sandwich in half and burning the potatoes.

The food is delicious! The service is wonderful. I had the veggie crepe... It was so yummy! My sister ordered the eggs benedict but instead of the english muffin she asked for hash brown potatoes on the bottom. It looked delicious. I wish I had taken a picture.

Since everything I do is to please my kid, this has now turned into our brunch "to go" spot. She loves it. Well, so do I. First things first, it's crowded. Very, very, very, crowded so be aware that you will wait. Now, they ARE open until 4PM on Sunday so you can go for a "breakfast for lunch" at around 2PM and have no wait, however at that time the servers are a bit tired but the ambiance is much more relaxed and the wait for the food is less. I adore the Dutch Baby and their French Toast so our Sunday brunch is always my calorie splurge day. Their home fries aren't at all pretty but are incredibly tasty so try those out as well. Since we started coming we notice that a couple of servers who are amazing when you get their tables, still remember us and make it a point to say hello to us even on the days we aren't seated at their tables. I do try to make it a point to sit with them though - Ken, super funny, super nice , always happy and smiling no matter how busy it is and Danielle, she has a really sweet personality and has made it a point to go out of her way to tell us how happy she is to see us again. Try it out, it is worth it. Just ignore the rude Doral people who push you out of the way to get seated before you (this really happened to me by a very slimy guy last week in a guayabera and slicked back hair, so I figured if it was so important to him to push past a woman and a teenage girl then his life sucks anyway so have at it)

The food is awesome, the service is great, but the one thing you shouldn't miss is the Bacon, is both crisp and tender, cooked the right way. Also very important they have freshly squeeze orange juice. Definetly a place to visit more than once.//.

This place has gone downhill....the wait staff looks like a circus side show..... they are missing teeth, they have nasty greasy hair, and they have no interpersonal skills whatsoever For breakfast in Doral skip this place or go hungry

Goooood breakfast. I had this crazy craving for Banana Pancakes so we came in for breakfast. Strong coffee, friendly service, large portions and very reasonably priced.

I've only been here twice. Once about 5 years ago and once a couple of weeks ago. I think they might have redone the place. It looks cute. White wainscoting with sage green walls and pretty wood or wood-like floors. Very country looking. Very inviting. The bathrooms were pretty clean. Definitely a plus in my book. They have booths along both sides, tables in the center and a bar stool counter in the front. Menu is easy to read and complete. Something for everyone. I was excited to order Banana Chocolate Chip pancakes and an iced coffee. That was until my waitress replied with "Iced Coffee? I don't make it too good....but ooookay." Ummmmm..seriously...wth? So my pancakes arrive and there's about 17 TINY chocolate chips on top. No bananas. Turns out they are inside the batter. I wish it would have been reversed; chocolate chips inside and fresh banana slices on top. Not enough whipped butter on the table for 1 pancake, let alone 7. Especially since I don't use syrup. For the price I paid I expected an entire banana or two sliced up and served on top. I chose 2 of the cheapest toppings available for the pancakes. Had I chosen Pecans or something else that's pricey, I'd expect 0a small portion...but BANANAS...and chocolate....really? Don't get cheap on me OPH! Our order took a good 15-20 minutes (with only 13 of the 30+ tables occupied) but I think it's because we ordered a baked omelet in addition to the pancakes. I assume the omelet takes a while to bake because it's huge. (FYI the omelet was kind of bland. I wouldn't order it again.) Overall, it's faster than Denny's and better quality than IHOP. I wish they'd play up the coffee selection a little more. Maybe offer 2-4 blends/flavors to choose from.... Oh and teach their waitresses how to properly ice a coffee. It's not rocket surgery.

My order was a take out order. But to my surprise they do no allow take out orders on Saturday on Sunday. WTF !!! But since that Saturday morning there was a thunderstorm and the place was empty the waitress asked the manager for permission and they allowed a take out order. The waitress was fast and excellent customer service skills. Now lets talk about the food. Since the restaurant is called Original Pancake House I thought these will be the best pancakes I ever tasted. I was wrong. The pancakes were mediocre. I ordered the vegetable omelette. It was OK. I got french toast for my wife and they were horrible. Those were not french toast. They used a different kind of bread. My entire family was dissapointed with this restaruant. My wife and I can make better pancakes and omelettes than this restaurant.

Good food but lousy service as always..waiters are rude and not helpful at all, don't even speak spanish, come on, we r in Doral ! Hire some bilingual staff for christ sake. The place is always dirty, trash and spilled drinks are not picked up ! Too bad there are few pancake/waffle choices in this area.

All the food here was average. Nothing was super yummy, but it was not terrible. Also all the food was a good price and very affordable. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and they were pretty good. The other members of my family ordered eggs, pancakes, and omelets. They enjoyed it, but like I said it was nothing spectacular. There was no wait to be seated, however we went super early. There was not a super long wait to get our food. Overall it was a nice restraunt to get breakfast before going to the airport.

My husband and I have been going to the original pancake house for the past 5 years. Two weeks ago we went and they skipped our name from the waiting list and we had to wait extra time to be seated. The food satisfying and as good as usual. We returned today and again they seated people in front of us but our biggest disappointment was the food. We ordered the eggs Benedict and it was very bad. Their was very little Hallandale sauce, the eggs were hard, the Canadian bacon was so thin that I could not even taste it when it is supposed to be thick. My husband ordered hash-browns but it was so little that he had to eat my homestyle fries that were also cold and soggy. Our waiter told us that the restaurant has new management. The food quality is drastically worse. We are not going back.

Had a similar set-up as Lynne 12/17/12 rating below where she gave 2 stars. We had 8 in the party - Sunday breakfast with family that were all in town for a wedding. We had great service from the waitress and manager. They were very busy but they accommodated us and didn't push us out the door. I was weary about going due to Lynne's comments but I think they learned their lesson from her comments. This is what social media is all about! Keep the reviews coming. By the way, food was very good and they got every order right - exactly what we ordered. And, the corned beef hash is to die for... Great job to the Original Pancake House for turning themselves around and listening to their customers...

We went for Saturday brunch and waited about 15 minutes for two people. We had the chocolate chip pancakes, two fried eggs, toast, and lemon crepes. My bf wanted bacon so we also ordered a side of it. My breakfast was $5.99 and so was his. That breakfast at any other brunch place like Town or Green Street would have been $80 and the food was actually just as good. The bacon was $4 extra which is a little steep considering you could have gotten a bacon breakfast for about $6 including more eggs and such. It was good, cheap, quick, and close by. I would definitely return.

Food was great. Home fries were better tasting than the hash browns. I liked that the sausage patty wasn't greasy or oily. The only complaint I have is that it was a weekday and it wasn't too busy yet our food took awhile to make it to the table and our service wasn't the best. The food was definitely better than Denny's or IHOP.

I actually ended up here after picking my mom from the airport as we were all starving. There was no wait as we were here early on a Sat, 930am. The staff is very friendly & chatty and make you feel welcome. The first time I was here I decided to have the waffles with berries, the waffles were delicious and berries were super fresh. Orange juice also fresh squeezed. Now the second time we ended up going on a Sunday and it was way too many people (the nice greeter said it's never that crazy) but they sat us down after a short wait of 15-20 min, we were a group of 10 therefore I couldn't complain that they needed a bit more time to push 2 tables together. This time I decided to have the huevos rancheros & the veggies just seemed like the frozen kind & the cook just microwave them, there was also no spicy or even just basic condiments on the eggs like a bit of salt & pepper....really disappointed but the french crepes were nice & thin and the strawberry compote made up for it. Coffee is also nice.

So my family and I decide to check this place out on a bright Sunday morning (Father's Day). I had never been to an Original Pancake House, and my brother recommended it. It was a busy morning due to the holiday but we were still sat in a decent amount of time. The restaurant isn't the biggest spot but it can seat a good amount of people, best guess about 75. The appearance is pretty good, it was a busy day and the place looked very clean and everyone who worked there was hustling to provide good service. After being seated, our waitress did an introduction and I must say she made the experience amazing. She was funny and attentive. She took care of our table and the many more that she had like a trooper. Funny fact about this place, it has a little button on a plastic holder that you can press if you'd like to call the waitress or waiter to your table. Kind of like on an airplane to call the flight attendant. It's pretty interesting to see that, I've never seen it before at any restaurant. I included a picture case you were wondering what I meant. On to the food. I had the strawberry french toast, with eggs scrambled, some home fries, and a glass of orange juice. I'll begin with the orange juice as it came first. This has got to be one of the best glasses of orange juice that I've ever drank. The orange juice at this place is fresh squeezed, not the stuff you get in a carton. Warning though, it contains a massive amount of pulp. I enjoy pulp so I am the target market. If you don't like pulp then this is not for you, maybe you can ask for it strained. You probably should as it is some darn good OJ. OK enough about the juice, on to the rest of the breakfast. The strawberry french toast was pretty good as were the eggs and home fries. I would say the breakfast was definitely better than average but not out of this world amazing. This place is definitely a step up from the average breakfast spots.

Visited this restaurant last week with my coworker and had a good experience. It was my first time here so I looked at the menu and it was huge!...all kinds of pancakes, omelets! everything looked so yummy! So I ordered the veggie omelet with wheat toast and tea.....I wasn't mentally prepared to the omelet they brought out...it was hugeeeeeeeeee...I mean huge! I was only able to eat a little bit and ended up taking the rest back to the office. My friend ordered the spinach omelet , and a side of really thin pancakes that were really tasty. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Overall a good experience...but I am not a big breakfast eater...if u do enjoy having a lot of food for breakfast, try this place out.

We went here instead of IHOP thinking it would be better. Well, we were wrong. We should've just gone to IHOP. I really wanted fresh waffles so I ordered that with two eggs over medium and bacon, my boyfriend ordered the same. My son got the rainbow pancakes with a side of bacon. (Which has m&m's in it, that wasn't mentioned on the menu.) When our food finally came my waffle wasn't even warm, my boyfriend's waffle was undercooked on one side. We let our server know and he said that he'd get me a fresh one. When he brought my second waffle it looked great but when I took a bite it was undercooked. The center was still uncooked. We let the server know and we sat there forever waiting for him to do something about it. We ended up waiting even more for him to fix our bill and cash out. When my boyfriend talked to the manager he seemed like he could care less about our experience and definitely had a sour attitude toward us. So I would like to rate this place a -10. Don't waste your time or money. Total disappointment.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day its also the most important one. I have been going to the Original Pancake House for a little over a year now. I love the Banana French Toast. I have been served by most of the waitress/waiters that work there don't have a single complaint!

A nice breakfast always puts me in "relax vacation/weekend mode"! This place is perfect for putting me in that frame of mind. No stressing about getting there early or you'll miss the breakfast menu. You can waltz in there at 11 am, Noon, 1...and breakfast will still be there waiting for you! If you like omelets, this is the place! Their omelets are not only enormous, but they are fluffiest omelets I've ever seen! They most likely first separate the egg whites from the yolks, and whip air into them until they are foamy and fluffy like meringue or when making souffle, and then fold the yolks back in! They are heavenly! This is one chain you can recommend without hesitation. Oh...and the pancakes rock, but considering that "pancake" is in their name, one would expect no less!

Overpriced OJ, huge wait, dismal service... I have a tip for all you locals I see waiting for over 1 hour for a table to pay too much for eggs and pancakes...go to the Doral Country Club on a Sunday Brunch .. now that's a deal !!! No wait, reasonable prices, all you can eat and FREE OJ. I just don't get it... and every weekend morning I jog in front of the place to see the crowds sweating in the So Fla summer heat to pay way too much for an omelet and a glass of juice with poor service.

Went here with the in-laws and my guy. I was pregnant and craving good pancakes with blueberries. The place was packed, but we didn't wait too long, at first... The waitress took a while to take our order, the food took FOREVER and though I specified I wanted blueberries and whipped cream ON TOP of my pancakes, they cooked them IN my pancakes. This made them mushy and yuck! Service was less than so so, food was dissapointing and it was overpriced. All in all a bad experience. I've since gone back. The wait is still long, even when it's not busy... But the service is much friendlier and the food is pretty good once in a while. Still not my favorite, but it's conveniently close. Give me Cracker Barrel any time over this!

NOT my first choice for breakfast/brunch at all. I used to love this place when I was younger, and I don't know if it is that my taste buds have changed or what, but now I find this place to be just mediocre. The service is great, but the food is really just "meh." Cookie cutter almost. The last time I was here about a month ago, I found my french toast to be waaaay too eggy and my father-in-laws huevos rancheros looked really cheesy (not literally)...like something you would get at a rest stop or something along those lines. Not appealing at all. I don't know if this is being snobby , conceited, or what, but I really would much rather make my own breakfast at home rather than to come here. My breakfast is so much better than this place aaaand I can have mimosas at home! What kind of a place has breakfast/brunch without mimosas?!?!? MEEEEEEEH!!!

I finally tried this place Friday morning at about 8am out of curiosity. I ordered the pancakes with strawberries which was all good until I put their syrup on it that had a weird taste to it. It was so bad that my husband and I got stomach aches. It did not taste like ordinary syrup so for that reason I am scared to try this place again for pancakes. It left a bad taste in our mouths. Also, the waitress never brought me the kiddie menu and I was disappointed about that. Later when I reminded her about it she did bring it, but then never took my order for my child. Huh? Soon after our food arrived my child barely ate what we ordered........... My daughter had the vegetable omelet and that was delicious. She added the cheddar cheese and it was great. I may just order that if I dare to go again. The home fries were tasty and the price was just okkkk Anyways, I would much rather have Denny's buttermilk pancake!

I'll begin by admitting that my usual weekend breakfast involves cuban toast, cafe con leche and fried eggs. So the fact that I made it out here on a Sunday, was a stretch. It's been years since I've been to this location, but decided to try it as a Denny's alternative (I can only visit Dennys post-partying, while inebriated). Sunday "breakfast" after Noon... and pleasantly surprised. Ordered eggs benedict with potatos. Service was great. The waitress was very pleasant and accomodating. Shout out to Patrenia (sp??)... she had us all laughing at our table. Other dishes were the omelette, a cherry crepe, and even a chicken sandwich. All plates were empty, or emptied into a take home box. Will be going back when I'm not in the mood for my traditional cafe con leche.

I had a situation We were a party of seven(7) and we came in, placed our order (took about 25 min to get the order) and proceeded to enjoy ourselves with the good food and then we engaged with a little conversation since it was family that was from out-of-town and we had some catching up to do. We were not loud, we were not obnoxious, we were very pleasant, when all of the sudden the manager Calvin, approached our table and asked; "Is the conversation good? Because I have a big party outside waiting". We were left speechless. We have never, ever, ever, been asked to leave an establishment in such a rude manner, furthermore, because we were not leaving fast enough to suit Mr. Calvin, he returned to our table to ask if he could pick up our plates. I feel that Mr. Calvin should be a bit more customer service oriented since this, being a restaurant, is a customer driven economy. Please convey this message to Mr. Calvin. I personally will NEVER, EVER, step foot at this restaurant again, or any other Original House of Pancakes. Such a shame because the food was good, but the service was UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!

This is my go-to breakfast spot when I want to stay close to home in the Doral area. First and foremost, the service is quick and effecient which is what you want from a causal breakfast eatery. Secondly, their coffee is really good and there is always someone near by ready and willing to "warm you up." The food in general here is good. I've had the skillet, the corned beed hash, and eggs benedict several times and have never been let down. I've also had a few different types of pancakes and they have all been good as well. My favorite are the pumpkin pancakes. They are absolutely delicious. If you're in the Doral area and want a really solid breakfast, give Original Pancake House a shot.

I've been coming here for years and unfortunately the wait staff and management are constantly changing so one day you get great service and the next day the service is awful. Betsy was the best waitress but she's gone now so its a luck of the draw when it comes to getting good service. Food is reasonably priced and very tasty (if they get your order right). Bathrooms are truly disgusting.

Excellent food and service. Many years ago we went to the 'original' Original Pancake House in Portland, OR. While it was good, it was crowded and the service extremely slow. So we were a little hesitant to try this one. What a difference. The was less than five minutes on a Sunday morning. The food came quickly and was very tasty. I got the Huevos Rancheros, which were fixed in different way than I have ever had before. Very tasty.

Terrible service. We weren't the only ones complaining. Hash browns were cold. Service used to be good

Breakfast food is great because its core boils down to an amalgamation of enslaved and/or slaughtered farm animals. PETA, eat your hearts out. Oh, that's right, they can't because they're pussy vegans. I find the name of this place a bit deceptive. Denny's has been slinging [shitty] pancakes since before minorities could even eat there, which I guess explains why Denny's is the most racist restaurant after "K.K.Karl's Aryan Snack Shack", humorously abbreviated to KKK's ASS [citation needed]. Back to my point, Original Pancake House has a misleading name - it implies it's the original. Unless, of course, instead of being "Original... Pancake House" it's actually the "Original Pancake... House," as in "we make pancakes that are original." Either way it's a crock. There seems to always be an extraordinary line of people waiting to be seated. It looks like a Soviet bread line in '83, minus the communist-led socialist clusterfuck. Once you manage to get seated you're subjected to a slight bit of neglect since I guess they're overwhelmed with the hungry human horde. The menu has quite a variety of items to choose from, including advertisements with busty Venezuelans. Seriously, Original Pancake House, ads? Am I looking at a restaurant's menu or Perez Hilton's shitty blog? I can't believe I'm being sold car insurance while looking at crepes. My theory is they need the ad revenue on the grounds that they fucking close at like 2 p.m. They open for a total of 17 minutes. By the time they're done firing up the stove they have to turn it off so they can clean it quickly enough to get home in time to watch their clocks strike 2:13 p.m. I don't know why they do that. Is it because they want to stay true to their breakfast roots? Whatever, I don't think I've ever eaten a pancake at IHOP before 4 o'clock, so they're missing out on a huge "I don't give a flying fuck what time it is" market. One time I had a waiter who was cool because, he, spoke like, William, Shatner, when he played James, T., Kirk, on, Star Trek. I could figuratively hear the commas in my head. It was wonderful. His name also had an apostrophe in it. The amount of awesome he was sporting was too much. I've had the pancakes, crepes, and waffles of many different varieties. Aside from the abortion that is the bacon pancake (it's exactly what it sounds like) and the abject failure called the bacon waffle (awfulness) everything tasted great. Whoever thought throwing bacon bits in pancake batter was a good idea needs to be drugged and dropped off in North Korea wearing an Uncle Sam costume. It was a worse idea than electing Bush. It was a worse idea than the "Jump to Conclusions Mat." It was a worse idea than electing Bush again. I only ordered it due to dude logic: "Dude, if I order the pancakes with the bacon I won't have to order bacon and I'll save money! It's all going to go in my stomach anyway, who cares about the sequence at which it enters my face?" My tongue cared. A fan of pancakes? Then I suggest you make your way here, just make sure you bring a tent with you to camp outside while you wait to be seated. PEOPLE WHO WOULD ENJOY IT: Early birds; old folks; people who feel as if they don't get enough advertisements on the internet, television, radio, billboards, mail, phone, movie theatre, etc. PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY IT: Anyone that knows how to read instructions on a box of Aunt Jemima pancake mix and has 10 minutes.

The service was horrible, the food took two hours, and the orders were wrong! if it wasn't for the endless coffee I would of left! Then at the end when the bill came I had to argue with the manager to take stuff off the bill.. One of the worst breakfast experience EVER!!!!

It's Wednesday morning at about 9am and, since we had a late start at the office, hubby decided to have a nice hearty breakfast and skip lunch. So we go to what used to be one of our favorite breakfast spots, The Original Pancake House. Well, we get there, it's almost empty but the lady that comes to get us is in extreme hurry, no idea why. She comes over she says "two?" grabs two menus and walks away. I say to her "good morning" and she turns around and says "what?" I'm like, is she for real so I told her "oh, I was just saying good morning" w/e...no reaction there. OK, we get seated and, guess what? the same lady is our waitress...oh brother! We order our coffee and proceed to look at the menu which is totally new, cool. We decide on our food and place our order. Hubby orders scrambled eggs with WHITE TOAST and I get the classic, with eggs/sausage/potatoes and pancakes (yes, I know) we get our food and mine was perfect but hubby looks at his plate and his bread looks nothing like white toast. So Kaye, our quick waitress, THEN explains to him "oh we have new bread, it's freshly made, it's good". Hubby looks at it funny but gives it a try anyway. The bread was "toasted" and looked like he was pulling on a piece of rubber trying to eat it...yuk! Oh well, so his breakfast was a disaster, mine was good. One star off for the lack of greeting, one star off for the hurried attitude and one star off for not explaining that you have new menus and new items. Too bad, it USED TO BE really good.

I'm a big fan of pancake places, and I have to say that even though I am speaking partial to the love of this place, but seriously, how can you not want to have chocolate chip pancakes? The food everytime I go is great, the food is cooked to order and I can't get enough of their coffee to be quite honest. The steak is always made exactly as I order, and I love how much they give you for a serving of scrambled eggs. The only thing that I can complain about is that they close early, but that's not really a complaint, more of a suggestion

I went here for breakfast and it was ok. Got seated in about 10 min on a sunday morning, which was good. It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised at the menu. Lots of selection and different types of breakfast foods. My meal was good, but the service was not good. We sat down and our waiter was at first very prompt, but then proceeded to ignore us. Some people sat down after us and got their food 10 min before us (with the same waiter). I would have asked our waiter where our food was, but he was no where to be found. No joke, we waited 30 min for our food. This is breakfast people....not a steak dinner! Our food finally arrived and it was hot and fresh, but then we had to wait another 15 min after we finished our meal for the waiter to get our check and another 10 min after that for him to take our money. It was over an hour for breakfast! I will not be beack if I am ever in the area.

Here is my 2 cents on the food. MMMMM good. One of the first places which has just waffles. They were thin, tasty ,sprinkle with a touch of powder sugar. ( Belgian are the thicker ones.) My partner had french crepes. Loaded with fresh strawberries and a warm strawberry syrup. Both were a delight. Now some chitchat. We got here on a saturday morn around 830 am. 5-6 tables filled. Made our order. It arrived real quick. WOW within 5 minutes the place got swamped. We arrived in time. Must be good food with all the customers. Next time in the area will be back. Give this place a try. Service was also outstanding.

Very unhappy with the new menu and the lack of flexibility when ordering that used to be a basic part of service at this restaurant. The new potatoes are horrible compared to the potatoes previously on the menu. I give it three stars because the pancakes are still incredibly moist & fluffy. If you had not experienced OPH before the changes then you will leave satisfied. Sadly for me, the restaurant is a pale imitation if its former self!

I came here on Tuesday morning with my 3&4 year old. It was not crowded as it was after 10am. We were seated right away but then it all went downhill. It took about 10 minutes before someone came and asked what we wanted to drink, and then another 15 minutes before we got coffee and the orange juices. I know they squeeze the juice fresh there, but it should not take that long. Our waitress never came back to get our order, I had to flag her down so she could take our order. I would have left already, but I already promised my kids pancakes. After we placed our order, the food came pretty quickly, but I never got a refill on my coffee, never got asked if we needed anything ( I had to ask the guy sitting next to me for hot sauce). The wait for the check was unreal. She walked past us numerous times and never offered it, again I had to stop and ask her for it. Also, there was a sizable piece of egg shell in my eggs. I really wanted to like this place, we had one in my hometown and it reminded me of back home. I will probably be back, just to give it another shot. But, this was a horrible experience.

Food is not that great, service was ok. I will expect from the "pancake house" great waffles & pancakes but is not the case.

A lot cleaner and better in service than Dennys. The oven baked omelette is a huge meal for breakfast and it's delicious. A little slow in coffee service. Almost all the time the same waitresses and they are familiar with what you like and not like after the second time. Very friendly waitresses. Except to wait a little too long to be seated sometimes.

Worst breakfast experience!!! Waited 1 hour to be seated and waited another hour to receive food; when the food arrived at the table, the order was incomplete and some of us were missing parts of our orders (e.g. Pancakes); by the time we finished the first part of our orders we still had no received the pancakes and had to speak to the manager who brought them out within 5 minutes. Service was not the best either. We could not wait to get out of this restaurant and will not be coming back.

I had some awesome blueberry silver dollar pancakes. My side of ham was dry and my coffee was so-so.. My family enjoyed their original pancakes with eggs and bacon.. The bacon was crispy, just the way I like it. My boyfriend loved the freshed squeezed oj.. Overall, breakfast was real good..

I have been to numerous Original Pancake Houses across the country and this place was horrible. Pancakes were flat not fluffy and they were burnt. The butter is usually whipped and not rock hard cold. The syrup is usually delicious. I have high expectations since after visiting my first franchise in Kirkland, WA. I thought they put crack in everything because I had never tasted such heavenly pancakes. Flashback to Doral. Polar opposite. I bet McDonalds pancakes are better. Salsa music was blaring. Seriously it's 7am and it's a pancake house. Dance music? I know it's Miami-ish but it's really too early and not appropriate!

My family and I love going for breakfast on the weekends. The dutch baby pancake is delicious, as is all the food. Service is great and quick.

$5 for three pieces of bacon? Really! Service was the worst, I expected something above Denny's, but got as much service at McDonalds. So unfriendly had to ask for water 3 times. Coffee was terrible and at 2.49 was a total waste. Never ever eating here again.

My whole family loves to come here for breakfast on Sundays... their Belgian waffles are incredible. the service is not always good and there is usually a long wait to get in.

Super greasy Eggs n sausage! No French fries and no create ur own. I'd prefer Denny's 1000x. Not satisfied.

Food is good, however, service is not. If you asked for a share meal, don't except an extra plate. If coffee is your beverage of choice, water will be a no show unless you asked for it...

A great place to eat breakfast! I've read other reviews and perhaps they went on off days or perhaps they should stick to Denny's or stay at home and eat cereal. I've been going to this OPH for almost 2 years. Try not to sit at the bar because the waitress is juggling the bar and her tables. Ask for either Erica or Daria - consistently great service! Best times during the weekend is before 10:00 or after 1:00 in the afternoon.

Probably a 2.5. Home fries not very good - they tasted like they were 3 days old. Pancakes were really, really good. Corn beef was pretty good. Service was kind of slow. Note to self: When you go to someplace with "Pancake" in the name order pancakes.

OMG! HUGE PLATE was not expecting that at all, ordered an omelett that was bigger than my head LOL!!! of course could not finished it, but I wouldn't come here again just because there's not much choices of what I want in the menu.

holy mother of breakfasts! i came here without knowing what to expect. all i knew was that it got super packed on the weekends. which reminds me, come on a weekday to beat the crowds! let me tell you what i had... 1) the eggs benedict -- wowza! poached eggs atop some canadian bacon and a muffin drenched in hollandaise sauce. perfection. 2) waffles -- delicious! I LOVE breakfast in general. and if you do too, make a visit here. you will not be disappointed. coffee wasn't great, but the OJ was (au natural). but at $3.89 a glass it was a little steep. definitely worth another visit.

Service!!!! What's that? According to the OHP in Doral, they're clueless as to what service is! It took 20 minutes to get WATER! After a frustrating half hour we get out dry crepes with welted and definitely not fresh strawberries! Horrific! Breakfast for the lame, patient, and the non knowing of what a good breakfast is. Yuk!!! And the gnats didn't add any flair, either!!!!!
