beautiful decor depicting pre Castro Cuba. Great food. This restaurant chain is a family owned business. They have done well for themselves. This area needed this piece of latin cuisine.

I was going to have a party here but had to cancel due to a policy they have which they forgot to go over. If you rent the BIG private party room, lets say for a party of 40, prepare to be moved if a larger party comes. You can choose from 2 crammed rooms or right smack in the middle of the restaurant. Not private at all. I was upset because 1) I was not verbally warned of the possibility of being moved 2) I was not called to be informed of this change 3) I was the one who rented the room first. I went a few months ahead of my event and was the first person to rent any of the areas. The only reason i found out about the change is because I like to call places I rent every so often and make sure everything is on track. They were probably waiting for the deadline to cancel so i had to pay a deposit. Yes, it was in the fine print, and also on the top of the contract, but honestly it wasn't written clearly on the top part, and since it wasn't reviewed, as they made sure to go over payment very clearly, I didn't think it was anything important. It was written in whack English. I hadn't eaten here before, and tried it out before renting. I wasn't blown away but then again I only got a sandwich. The other people I went with told me AFTER i cancelled that they in fact didn't enjoy the food because it was over seasoned. So in the end, it was probably a blessing in disguise. The room i had original rented is very pretty inside. Actually, the decor of the restaurant is. Its a shame.

The food varied from person to person. There was a total of 8 with my party. Five of the 8 meals were very good. The 3 Filet de Pollo were dry and didn't have much flavor. I had the Lechón Asado. It was very good! Tender and juicy pork with caramelized onions. It reminded of American pulled pork but Cuban style.. A must try in my opinion! The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. I would return to eat here again. Overall a very good experience...

Down to earth Cuban food. No frills. Just great, traditional dishes.

Doesn't compare to the one in Coral Gables. The food is not good at all. The salad tasted old and looked old. The mash potato tasted like they came out of a box (watery). The chicken was okay but needs work. The waitress asked us "how was everything?" and I response "awful". Her response was "We're busy, sorry". At lease she was honest. Moral of the story is don't go there when they are busy. The service is good that's why I gave it 2 stars. Fool me once, shame on you but you are not fooling me twice.
