Only came once to have breakfast but what I had was worth the drive. We ordered empanadas de pollo, pastelitos de papa y queso (these pastelitos are not like the Cuban ones but this is how we call these fried pastries in Venezuela) and a cafe con leche. I was served promptly except for the pastelito, which had to be made, no complaints here, I'm happy to wait for freshly-made food every time. There are sauces on the tables such as hot sauce and green/tartar sauce which go great with the empanadas. The prices were reasonable and the food was good, I recommend this place.

For lunch Try the PABELLON empanadas! So much flavor! & get an Arepa - I liked the chicken & avocado. Try ALL the sauces (don't be shy!). Try them on your food! Prepare to be very full!

Get the arepas. Roasted pork ones are best. Put the green sauce on it and go to town. I personally prefer these to the empanadas, which are the doughy fried kind. The food come out pretty quickly, even though they had to make the arepas and empanadas fresh. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired (fast-foody), but the food is worth it. Definitely try it out!

Colombian empanadas "Supreme" is how I describe the Venezuelan empanadas. They're bigger, more filling (with less carbs - no rice!), and just... bigger. And bigger is better. At least that's what I thought after taking a bite of their sweet & crispy yellow corn dough empanadas! I had the carne mechada (shredded beef), cheese, and even the pabellon (shredded beef, black beans, cheese, plantains) and they all tasted great - I couldn't find a complaint about any of them. And what makes this even better is that from Mondays to Fridays, after 3 pm, you get three freshly-made empanadas for the price of two. (Each one goes for either $3 or $4). I'm there! I haven't tried anything else here, but the tequeños look good here as well. They have a pretty large street-food oriented menu.

Wonderful Venezuelan eatery inside of the strip mall just off of the Palmetto on 25th Street. My favourites are the empanadas de carne mechada (marinated pulled beef), empanadas de jamón y queso (ham and cheese) and the tequeños (cheese sticks). When I worked in Doral, I had to visit this place at least once a week, and would have come everyday if I could afford so many calories :) I now make the long drive from my office in Miami Lakes sometimes just for their wonderful food. Their hot food is also very good, they offer meals with rice, meat, two sides and a drink for about $9. All the food tastes really home-cooked, and while I'm more used to Colombian food, Venezuelan food is very reminiscent. I have also seen different perros and hamburgers on their menu, however have not seen anyone order them nor have I tasted them. From the menu, they appear to be very similar to a Colombian perro. There is room for eat-in (limited seating), however the majority of their business is take out. There is a large selection of natural juices and South American beverages (including chichas, Brasilian Guarana, Colombian/Venezuela sodas, etc.) Another plus: they are actually open until 8 PM most nights, which is a fresh surprise in the area. Parking is easy with a large private lot for the centre.

Venezuelan food in a little shopping center that has burgers, salads, empanadas, and other foods at awesome prices! I tried the shredded beef empanada and the pabellon that had plantains, black beans, and shedded beef. The dough was a masa dough which was different from others that I had but liked it even more. They also have mini-emps (not sure what they are called) that had cheese, potato and ham. Burgers and frieds were good. Some sauces are also available which I am not sure what they were exactly except they were all delicious. I can only describe them as one was like a cilantro mayo, a spicy tomato, and another white sauce. They also have a small dessert case and specialty drinks like a sugar cane drink.

Love the variety of the menu. Everyday is a combo of different dishes. Cantina is cheapest in the area in my opinion.

Very disappointed that the sign says open until 8pm but when we pulled up at 7:20pm, they were already completely closed. Total waste of time.

Gosh... What can I say... This has to be one of the best hidden gems in Miami. From when I lived here to when I visit. I alwasy make sure I come in for the best Empanadas in Miami. I've had some good ones in Colombia and Venezula but this place is amongst the best! I also like getting their FRESH SQUEEZED OJ. Service and staff is amazing too. After so long they still remember my name!

I guess I just don't like Venezuelan empanadas. Too greasy and the corn flour wrapping is chewier than I like. The fellow behind the counter was nice and helpful, but I'd rather go somewhere else.

The last time I stepped into a Venezuelan joint (not too far from here, actually) things didn't go so well (read my Arepazo 2 review). The menu was written in code, and the staff couldn't have been less interested in helping me decipher it. I'm happy to report that thanks to Crema all that pain and trauma have been washed away for good. For those of us unfamiliar with the cuisine of Bolivar's birthplace, every item on the menu has a corresponding picture on the wall. And if you STILL have questions the friendly staff won't make you feel like a gafo. Four of five different types of empanadas, burgers, arepas, patacon, etcetera, etcetera. All of it good, plentiful, and fresh. And how do you know it's good? The place is packed with Venezuelans. On this visit, a lovely young chama explained that Pabellon is the national dish. It's rice, black beans, shredded beef and maduros. And guess what? At Crema they stuff all of that into an empanada! Also on the menu, Arepa Pepiada, which is the arepa we all know stuffed with chicken salad and avocado. Winning! I had one of each and dreamed of laying on the sand at Playa Medina pondering life's mysteries and downing a cold one. Que chévere, vale!
