    Great sushi for the price.

Damn good and at a good price. It has great variety too, you can choose from a wide amount of sushi or stick with regular Chinese food. The sushi is decent, but good for the price. I mainly come here when I want good sushi, but Chinese good as well. Service is good too.

This is pretty much the only Japanese buffet i have visited more than once. Their rolls and sashimi are great and so are the dumplings. Yakisoba is great as well. I am not a fan of ribs, fried rice or fish but that is a personal choice. I have tried the chicken and broccoli and it was very tasty. It is a great bang for your buck.

Food is great, but service is simply put, terrible ! Nobody came to pick up the dishes and we had to go get somebody to come by. Because of it's location I'll probably give it another try maybe in 6 months and see if anything changes.

We've been to this sushi buffet many times and keep coming back because... - Sometimes we're just too lazy to drive to Kyojin on US1. - They offer great coupon deals. - Their food is good. Everything from their sushi, crab legs, dynamite mussels, noodles, tempura shrimp and veges - I don't think I've had anything that I wanted to spit out. - It's never crowded and you never have to wait for a table. A few downsides: - Sometimes the labels on the glass do not match the type of roll that's underneath it. It says "Spicy Tuna Roll", but I'm sure that's a shrimp on top of rice. :-/ - Their dessert section has the smallest selection of desserts I've ever seen at a sushi buffet. - Sometimes their crab legs can be on the puny side. Food's good, service is good, prices are good - we'll be back, especially when we get a coupon.

I'm normally quite skeptical when it comes to buffets, especially those where raw fish is involved. However, Ichiban came well recommended from a good source so I decided to give it a try. I have to say that the value is excellent. You get plenty of pretty good sushi, seaweed salad, sauces, noodles, and desserts for a very low price. It's a smorgasbord for the price of one sushi roll on Brickell. I won't say it's the best sushi in Miami because Akashi will always have my heart, but the rolls at Ichiban are just as good as those at some Brickell joints which will remain unnamed. I loved the Miami roll and was pleasantly surprised to find white tuna. As far as sashimi goes, this place takes the cake. The sashimi was fresh and plentiful. I'd say it's worth going here just for the sashimi. If you're in the mood for Japanese fare, and lots of it, this is your place!

By far the best sushi sashimi buffet rolls hibachi grill , the price is perfect and always happy servers, hostess, and cooks. Don't expect fancy or to creative, just good food for the right price. I've been coming here since it open and nothing bad to say that's why my 5 stars.

Exactly what you would expect from a Japanese buffet. Mediocre sushi and your average share of fried rice, and all sorts of chicken, pork and beef stir fry. The staff is nice and friendly. However, based on food alone, this is just OK.

Wow I didnt know what to expect. I am on a police training course down the road and saw this on my way to the turnpike. I am glad I stopped. I ve been to sushi places and that say its all u can eat and they have like 4 different kinds. I am telling this place had at least 15 different types and they were fresh and GOOD. The rest is a your typical buffet set up..with a grill in back. For 9.99 it was a good deal to me...would drive back to visit if ever back in the area.

The point is ladies and gentlemen is that choice, for lack of a better word, is good. Choice is right. Choice works. This is what I get at Ichiban ... choices. Yes, granted, it may not be the best food in the world, but I can choose to mix my noodles with some seaweed salad, or I can choose to go back to the sushi buffet several times, or I can choose not serve myself anymore of the crappy hot and sour soup. And in the end, I can choose to have some jello with fruit for dessert....or if I am feeling adventurous, I can choose some green tea ice cream with Thai donuts. I like to have choices and Ichiban gives me the choice, and that works!

You have to have low expectations. After all, you're going to a buffet, and a sushi one! Came here for lunch. The specialty rolls were good ... these were toward the corner of the sushi buffet table. They had 2 sushi chefs behind the bar to give the illusion that there stuff is fresh. I was informed to stay clear of the hot buffet food, but I did try some fried rice and wontons and they were decent, albeit bland. Great place if you're hungry to chow down for cheap.

We had the lunch buffet special. The sushi was quite good; super fresh and made right in front of you. The staff was quick and courteous, and overall, our experience was great. But the best part was the bill; my wife was fully expecting (and quite willing to) pay $30 per person for this seafood extravaganza. When the bill came back at $10 per person, her jaw hit the floor! Quite simply, this is the best sushi lunch for your money, anywhere!

If you are in the mood for an all you can eat Japanese experience than this is it. They have everything from Sushi, Rolls, to Sesame Chicken, Spare Ribs, and more. They have a Hibachi grill where they also cook fresh to order. Our lunches were $9 + $1.75 for iced tea (although I never have been able to understand how beverages can be so expensive). The food is good, definitely not the best Japanese I have had, but the extensive options offer something for everyone. I especially love the fact that they have all types of Sushi and Rolls to choose from. As a huge Gari and Wasabi lover I also get enough for my taste without having to ask for more. I tried the fried dumplings and Spring Rolls, didn't love them, stick to the non fried foods. For dessert they have ice cream (didn't like it though, little cakes, chocolate pudding and fruit. Fruit is always a great thing!

If you go here expecting the best sushi in Miami, you probably will be disappointed. However, if you go here expecting some pretty good sushi and other PanAsian delights at an all you can eat buffet, you will be very happy. The food isn't top notch cuisine, but it's much better than you would expect at a buffet, and there's so much to try, you are bound to find something you love. The sushi is really fresh and the rolls are all pretty good. No complaints here. The service is great and the ambience is nice. All in all, a great place as long as you are REALLY hungry!

I've been to a LOT of Asian buffets in my life and what this one does well is quality. You can usually tell the quality of an Asian buffet from their buffet fried rice, because it's easy to rush a simple staple like that, but it was great here. The hibachi has the least amount of selection I've ever seen and you don't even get to put it in a bowl yourself, you just point out what you want, it tasted fresh though. Didn't try the sushi, it looked like it was sitting out for a while, but that's not why I didn't try it I just don't care for sushi. At the end of the day I would recommend this place, it would have gotten 4 stars from me but it's a bit pricey for a buffet.

    (3)
  • Keno C.

I don't even like sushi, but I first tried it here first and it was GREAT. Plus, the all you can eat Asian buffet has so many options that your inner-PRECIOUS and OPRAH will unexpectedly burst out of your skin ! Trust me when I say that you cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Free hibachi grill, customized sushi requests and a ridiculous array of buffet offerings. I've seen fat people leave disappointed in themselves, because they cannot finish all that is on the table!

  • Michelle C.

There isn't a huge variety like certain other sushi buffets but everything was done right. They put out a smaller quantity at one time to make sure everything is fresh, and it was! They were always on top of making more sushi when the demand was there. Crab legs and hot food was also very fresh and delicious.

    (4)
  • Christopher T.

The sushi was aweful and even a little scary. The buffet is Chinese, not Japanese, and tastes okay. The vegetables were too salty. They have good ice cream, though. The wait staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was nice enough. If you want delicious food, go somewhere else. If you are in a hurry for some fried rice, go to the Wok place across the street.

not bad, not great. I went late so maybe that's why the food tasted little funky.

Food is good. Service is good. Not halfway bad for all you can eat. Should be a 3.5 really.

  • Jonny T.

For $12.20, it's alright. The service was good, I have no complaints on my part. They have a huge selection of dishes from sweet sour chicken to sushi. For the desert part, it was lacking..no jello!!! Overall, I'll be coming back real soon.

HORRIFYING experience! Honestly, this place is extremely sub-par and kind of gross. The food is mediocre (from the noodles to their sushi) and small sushi selection. The quality is "okay", didn't like many of their rolls and ended up eating a lot of nigiri which wasn't the freshest.. It was "alright". What really DISGUSTED me was what I found on my plate: as I picked up a piece of Ginger to cleanse my palate I found a good chunk of it rolled up. I unrolled all the Ginger and to my surprise I found a little piece of SOMETHING unidentifiable underneath the Ginger! It looked like an old piece of salmon that had been dropped there and left there for god knows how long! DISGUSTING pickled salmon or god knows what that I was almost about to eat! Let me also mention how unprofessional it is to just leave a rice cooker as part of the buffet, ruining the dining experience. Also, their ice cream tastes old and is all stirred around as if someone served themselves and decided to put it all back. Needless to say I will never be going back or ever recommending it to anyone. Gross.

My Friend Raved about this place like no tomorrow and suggested i should give it a try. Only thing is I Don't like seafood at all, but decided to give sushi a 2nd try ... So after a certain time the prices change but for a Dinner Buffet is $18/ per Person. Honestly i don't think that's much for all you can eat fresh sushi. Yes, i say fresh because they roll the sushi right in front of you. They also have the regular buffet food like fried rice, spare ribs, honey chicken, coconut shrimp, and etc. If thats not good enough for you then they have a hibachi Grill. For a buffet that cost $18 dollars i think this is great, I tried every sushi they had some where tempura eel, tempura shrimp, cali roll, crazy roll, and dragon roll. At first i was disgusted until i tried one that tasted GREAT! don't know which one but im scared to find out which one it was. LOL So as a Non-Seafood eater i will return here and continue trying to get use to sushi ...

One of the best Japanese buffet around Miami ! Clean place and nice ppl to serve you. Give it a try ;-)

Apparently the food was not good. I did notice that the tuna sushi smelled a little bit fishy but I ate it anyway. Bad mistake. Now Im suffering from food poisoning. I give it one star for quality of food.

One of the better all you can eat sushi places around and being close to work I go here often enough. The quality can vary a little depending on how busy they are, but it's never bad. Prices are reasonable too.

  • Ricky C.

Small Japanese/ Chinese buffet restaurant. Good selection and reasonable prices. Nothing special, very typical of other buffet restaurants. When I first went there a few years ago the food seemed of higher quality than now. They may have lowered the food.quality to save money once they were established. For the price it's still good enough. If you want high quality sushi you go to a sushi restaurant not a buffet.

Doral is a bit of a haul for Japanese buffet food, but Ichiban was highly-recommended by friends who live nearby. With Hurricane Erika bearing down on south Florida, we knew this might be our last chance at sushi for awhile. (We did have one of our potted plants blow onto its side on Saturday, but that was the extent of the damage.) We arrived an hour before the end of their lunch time. They close between lunch and dinner so make sure you know if it will be open before you go! The place had a half dozen tables with groups of three to eight people. Despite the late arrival, the food was fresh and plentiful. There wasn't a line for the hibachi grill, which was refreshing. (We always find a long hibachi line at most Japanese buffets.). The choices were shrimp, chicken, or beef with the basic veggies. It was tasty, but they don't have a signature ingredient or flavor. They had just over 20 types of sushi and sashimi that were being freshly made the entire hour we were there. I prefer the restaurants that list the actual sushi ingredients, but Ichiban just puts the name. Nothing turned out to be too spicy or too odd. (I hate when they sneak a ball of green fire under a slice of fresh fish at some buffets!). They also have a half dozen soups, hot trays with mall food (e.g. Bourbon chicken), five salads (including seaweed), several tempura items, boneless ribs, and the like. The desserts were nothing to write home about, but they do have green tea ice cream. That alone may be worth the $12/person lunch price - if you eat enough of it. So, it was pretty typical Japanese buffet fare. But let me tell you why we will be back - and why you should visit. They have found employees who care very much about their customers. And these people are in south Florida!!! I am not joking. This is not a trick. The people working at Ichiban went out of their way to notice every customer and proactively address their needs. I was talking to my wife about the sushi and the guy making it poked his head over the glass and told me what was in the sushi prices on my plate. My wife was fishing around in the wonton soup and ended up with just a bowl of broth. A lady appeared moments later at our table with a fresh bowl with 3 wontons in it. Yes, she brought a bowl to our table at a buffet! I was probably scowling as I looked at the Palm Beach seafood salad. A head poked out from nowhere and the guy told me what was in the salad. (Of course, I had to try it and it wasn't bad.) So we started watching the staff and other customers. What happened to us was happening all over the restaurant! That is why we will be back and why you need to check Ichiban out.

Ichiban Japanese Buffet was arguably one of the first Asian Buffets that opened in Doral. Even though the years have passed by, still stands for a decent buffet place, mainly for lunch. Reasonably priced. Even though nowadays there are newer and better buffets around Doral, Ichiban still has its basics well covered. Service is attentive if compared with other places of the same category. Go with realistic expectations and you will have a good experience here.

I was in the neighbourhood and some friends told me to have lunch there with them. I thought it wasn't gonna be good. But it vas nice actually compared to other places like this. The sushi was fresh and varied. The Chinese was average but they had more variety than other places like this. The staff wes nice and servicing. The fix price was very friendly! Place was packed. Nice for lunch!

The food is cheap and gross. The kind of buffet that serves mystery meat. My chicken tasted like spoiled fish or rat meat. The place is smelly, ugly, and 18.00 for one person. Never again. The staff was very attentive.

I've been to Ichiban buffet for lunch several times- this was my first time for dinner. Lunch is 12-13$ a person, so I assumed dinner would be 15-16$ a person. Our bill, for two buffets and one soda was 38$! The food is not worth the price unless you come for lunch. The sushi is ok, but you can tell it's been sitting a while. If you're coming, only come for lunch.

Very nice place and They have big plates so at once you can gat everything you want And you can try to eat with chinees sticks

  • Justin D.

For an all you can eat sushi place, lunch deal is great. For $15 you can eat till you pop. If you come for dinner they serve sashimi as well as sushi. Then frown on not eating the rice balls that come with the sushi on the lunch buffet. Some items are amazing. Some of the best crab Rangoon around. Other items are hit or miss depending upon the day. I've eaten here about a dozen times and will continue to come back.

  • Steve B.

I will start by saying that it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I had some sushi, rolls & hot food. They did have a wide variety of rolls. A buffet of sushi always is a little scary. You want a big crowd so the food is being constantly refreshed. The ice cream & desserts were ok I guess. They also have a grill, but I didn't have anything cooked for me. I wouldn't be against going back, but it probably won't be me saying hey lets go to Ichiban. However in a predominately Latin food area, it would be a change of menu. The hot food was OK, but the fried food was kinda chewy.

This is the worst place to eat lunch! The food is mediocre and the waitress they are really unresponsive. Not good at all!!!

  • Jay Y.

Not a bad restaurant and the services is ok. They got many different type of foods for buffet. Chinese food is good but a little too salty. Japanese food has both sushi and sashimi; their fish are fresh so I highly recommend it. Seafood has oyster and crab legs; I wouldn't recommend this because oyster doesn't look fresh and crab legs are extremely salty. Desert they got ice cream and they have green tea ice cream which is my favorite.

Great variety, and an amazing value if you happen to be in the Doral area. I had seen this place when I ventured out to Maison Gourmet a few weeks ago and wanted to give it a try. Since I was in Hialeah, I figured this place was close enough and I should give it a try. Even though I had been disappointed in Kyojin a few times, I thought I should give another Japanese buffet a chance. I am glad I did because not only did they have Japanese staples such as seaweed salad, and pretty much every sushi roll you can think of, but also a Hibachi grill and Chinese fare such as Ginger Chicken, Wonton Soup, Egg Rolls, and Spare Ribs. This is a great place to go and sample a bit of everything and get full on a variety of items, rather than paying a lot and only sampling one roll. The price is unbeatable, the service is friendly, and they keep replenishing with new items. I wanted to take pictures but thought all the people in the buffet line might take offense (the place was packed), so I was unable to do so. For dessert, the donuts were delicious, as well as the vanilla roll cake. The bananas foster was also a good choice, as well as all their ice cream variety. Of course, you can opt for healthier items such as watermelon, cantaloupe, and other fruits. By the way, don't leave without trying their spicy squid salad, I really liked it!

Heard about this place from a few friends, happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to check it out. I am a big sushi lover and this place had a good variety of it ranging from raw to cooked sushi. The first bite of my first roll it like my taste buds were having a party! Lol i recommend the sushi here the rest of the food ranging from fried calamari, chicken, pepper steak were all fairly good. Didn't get to try the hibachi grill being that my belly grew about 2 inches from the sushi ( yes thats how much sushi i eat ). Overall id say this is a good place to visit if your on the hungry side for a good price at about 25 dollars for two people.

Quality of the food was good at the beginning then they deteriorated to the wrong way. I rather make the drive to Coral Gables and go eat at POC Buffet

Friendly staff. I went around 8 pm and there were a lot of empty serving platters. However the food was good and the place was clean.

This place was horrible. Absolutely atrocious and disgusting. It looked filthy, it was dark and dingy and all the non-sushi food had the same weird beige color. I heard about it from a friend and was expecting it to be alright since it has pretty decent reviews on here too but it was honestly the complete opposite. The service was good but the selection of sushi was very small and all the fried things had the same taste. The fish in the sushi tasted mushy and stale and was a little too close to room temperature for my comfort lol Overall would not recommend but if you like eating warm, raw, chewy sushi in a dark room that plays country music, this is definitely the place for you

  • Phuong O.

Best buffet so far in Doral for us. It was about $25 for lunch plus tip for the two of us. There are a variety of sushi to choose from, I love their seaweed salad!! Their miso soup is awesome too!! I have been to a lot of buffets and all their miso soup are salty, but not this place. My man and I dig their bourbon chicken, their noodles were ok, nothing special. They also had a hibachi grill but I was too full to try it. They also got self serve ice cream and that's something I have to come back for too. The majority of food here seems to be chinese and japanese.

  • Nelson A.

Sushi was really great, but the rest of the food was ehhhhh. I recommend this spot if you are in the sushi mood. Staff service is like a typical buffet nothing special. Price came out to $25 for 2 people. (3:00pm on a Friday)

    (3)
  • Alexa C.

The only thing that is good about this place is the staff, at least they are friendly. As far as the setup goes, you only have the option to eat at the buffet. My boyfriend wanted the buffet but I only wanted an appetizer & oddly they only have a to-go menu? I had to get my food to-go as it arrived by the time he was finished. What was the point of us eating out again? I have eaten at the buffet many times and it just doesn't make me happy at all. Jello and stale pastries for desert? C'mon! D FOR EFFORT

    (2)
  • Chris C.

Super ninja roll, I don't mind if I do. What was that? Tuna Tataki, sure I'll take a few pieces. With a great variety of sushi, tataki, and hibachi, Ichiban is becoming one of my favorite sushi spots. Like most buffets, nothing is "gourmet" but at the end of the day, it's really good sushi and a variety of it. If Daniel son lived in Doral, he'd probably eat sushi at ichiban, and that's a fact.
