Suprisingly cool place in Doral, simple and modern design with great food. Well presented food and attentive service

I came to this site because a friend recommended it to me , coming very kindly received and we stood at our table, our waitress quickly took our order because we arrived a little late and the kitchen was about to close , but just us were well looked after , the food is not bad, but I think it could be better , this in line with the price we paid. a person was birthday in place and suddenly We were scared because one of the waiters came out swinging a metal jug singing birthday, all good rest

I've longed to visit this place for awhile now. We moved to Boca prior to the restaurant opening. I was in Miami and decided to pick up a Togo order of a shrimp tempura roll and teriyaki salmon. The sushi was horrible. The shrimp was rice thin and didn't even go through all the rolls. The rice fell apart and the sushi collapsed. My salmon was dry and the dish had barely any sauce which was watery. How do you make teriyaki salmon dry? Very disappointed in the food. My order was 26.00. I would have been better off picking up a frozen Asian fish from the grocer.

One of Doral's best! GPAB is definitely one of my favorite lunch spots. The décor is B-E-A-UTIFUL and the food is fantastic. For lunch I usually go with the Sushi Bento Box but the Pad Thai and Cedar Plank Salmon with risotto are staples which highlight Green Plates range in the kitchen. Service with a smile and they send you on your way with a cookie. If you haven't tried this place yet your missing out.

Nice clean place. I thought they had a buffet, but the buffet is only on Sunday for brunch hours. I ended up staying to check out the place. I wasn't disappointed. First I ordered the wonton soup which it came in a decent size cup full of ingredients and the wontons were filled with a good amount of pork. Also tried out the pork belly ponchetta bun, it didn't wow me but it was good. Too, me it needs another ingredient to be added in order to give it the WOW to it. For the entrée was the amazing duck and cheese risotto. It had avocado as one of the sides, which paired great with the cheese risotto. The duck was delicious especially with the raspberry sauce it came with. Planning to come back to try out the sushi and some other menu items. The service was excellent, also. The waitress was so eager and happy to help me out since I mentioned that this was the first time for me and she is very knowledgeable of the menu items. Go check this place out food lovers and Yelpers!

Very nice place, food is very good , they Buffett is really good . Only reason for 4 stars is the space is kind of crowded on the Buffett area and around the tables . Prices are bit high. But attention to details on the plate decor and ambience is too notch !

Dropped by for happy hour in a Friday. It was great!!! They had 2 for 1 drinks and a decent sized menu as well. The happy hour menu gives you good sized portions for the price. I will definitely be going back for happy hour.

I loved this place so much more when it was a buffet. We could sit down and grab a plate of sushi while waiting for our main "mini" plate. Now I just have to wait a long time... Still love the menu and would definitely return; although, not on my lunch break. Their food is always fresh and inspiring. Sushi rolls are "da bomb" and beautifully crafted. I've also tried the bento box, but not the best they have to offer. The desserts are almost to pretty to eat. Oh but I will!

Walked in and walked right out. No more buffet. Are you kidding me?!?! This was going to be my new favorite place. Total fail. PS. I find it rather interesting how most of the reviewers on here only have "1" review. Are these employees giving 5-star ratings? Hhmmm.

I love this place!! Is a really good choice in doral. Food is high quality, service very good and prices incredible!! They have brunch on Sunday, amazing!! The riceless sushi (with the cucumber) is delicious!! I do recommend 100% this place!!

Unlike other buffet style, you can choose one or two appetizer and one entree from the menu. So the buffet part is included. There are soup, salad, sushi rolls, and dessert section and you can really fill out yourself with good quality food. I chose beef appetizer and mushroom ramen from the menu and both are good. The place is beautifully decorated and the staffs are very friendly.

Just ate here for the lunch special at $16/person. This was a great deal and a great experience and I'll tell you why. First of all, you get to choose an entree and then everything else is all you can eat. Girlfriend and I tried the Korean Galbi and the Cedarwood Salmon. Korean Galbi came w/3 pieces but they were pretty large for Galbi compared to the normal 8 small pieces at Korean restaurants (which normally cost $18). Count that as 6 pieces. Galbi was a tad bit salty. Cedarwood Salmon w/risotto was amazing. It was piping hot and very tender and just tasted really good. This was our favorite. Add that into a great selection of sushi rolls and various other types of foods and salads even fresh shrimp and ceviche (all you can eat). This was definitely worth the $16 spent. Not to mention the interior decor of the entire place was amazing and beautiful and went well with the classy music that was playing. This is definitely a classy place to eat. Other things I liked: Food was generally healthy, light, and unique. Restaurant was squeaky clean unlike your typical buffets. Service was stellar. Servers are very attentive. Your beverage is magically refilled after 2 sips. What I didn't like: you have to pay $2 for green tea.

Best delivery ever!! Just moved to Doral and this was my first taste on moving day. The presentation of the food was amazing, see picture of tuna guacamole wraps. Loved the Pad Thai chicken and the Sczechuan chicken as well!

The sushi was okay, the fried rice is really good. The avocado and crab salad was too sweet for my personal taste, and the server was kind of rude. I'm a server myself, and wouldn't treat my customers with disrespect.

We've come here since it opened. We enjoy the consistency of the food, and service. The Pan Seared Duck Breast is delicious, it comes with a creamy risotto. The Korean Galbi Short Ribs, are amazing. Everything we have had so far has been delicious

This place gets one star for their terrible customer service. The food is good, but what I experienced this weekend was unacceptable. We had bought a gilt coupon for a bottomless mimosa brunch. I made a reservation early in the week and informed them of my guilt coupon. I got a call 30 minutes prior to my reservation letting me know that they no longer serve the brunch option on Saturdays. WHAT? 30 minutes before my reservation is not the right time to tell me this. On top of that the young lady that called me offered no other options other than to come in and eat but they couldn't honor my coupon. I even initially asked if I could eat there and just apply the amount on the coupon, but no. My husband had to get all irritated them and it ruined our morning. After arguing with them the last thing I wanted to do was go to the restaurant, even after the manager offered to 'buy us appetizers'... Thanks but no thanks. It was really unfortunate considering we have enjoyed the food there in the past and work nearby so we would have been regulars for happy hour. Green plate, clean up your act. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Came for lunch this week for the first time. Walking in, the place is absolutely beautiful. I can imagine it looks even better at night. I really don't think the pictures capture how nice it is. Ok so, Food Between 3 of us, we ordered -Bacon wrapped Dates (stuffed with Manchego cheese) -Chicken Lettuce Wraps - Mixed Japanese Stir Fry (no shrimp, a member of our party is allergic) -Chicken Pad Thai -Their entire dessert tray Everything was delicious! The Bacon wrapped dates were definitely the tastiest. I could eat a while bowl full of those. The bacon is crispy (not greasy) and the manchego cheese helps to balance the sweetness of the date. The lettuce wraps were yummy. The Japanese stir fry was very fresh and crispy (no soggy veggies here) and the brown rice was the most delicious, plain brown rice I had ever had. It was so nutty tasting and went really well with the stir fry. The Chicken Pad Thai was great. It is really hard to find good pad thai that doesn't have something missing (like no peanuts or no egg). This one had all the staple ingredients and was delicious. We were each served salad with ginger dressing which was very fresh and had the sweetest ginger dressing any of us had ever had...it was great! Our waiter brought us the dessert tray which displayed all of their mini dessert options. You can choose the one you want for $2.50 or get the whole tray for $8.99. It was our first visit so we decided to go all in. In my opinion, and that of everyone in my party, the Green Matcha "Tiramisu (i think is what they call it, you'll know, its the only green one) is just nasty. Unless, of course, you like Matcha. I don't like it all, i hate when restaurants use it for "hot green tea" or ice cream but I figured I would try it anyway...yuck! The stand out dessert for me was the "Blondie" all the others were good but nothing to write home about. We decided to order "cortaditos" after dessert. This was a bad choice. I don't want to be mean about this but making cuban coffee and all its counter parts (cafe con leche, cortadito, etc) is an art. One that, simply, whoever made ours, did not have. It was watery with an incredibly bitter/bad taste that is not remotely close to cafe. We asked for more milk, that didn't help. Luckily, our waiter was very nice and took it off the tab as we were so unhappy and left all 3 cortaditos on the table. Drinks No comments as we just had unsweetened tea and diet coke Service Very friendly from the hostess to the bussers to the waiter. It did get kind of slow after we placed our food order and to get the tab and sign for our payments. Otherwise, no complaints. Overall, 4 stars. I hear they have a great buffet on the weekends, going to have to check that out soon!

I love this concept! You order an appetizer and entree off the menu for $26, $32 of you want 2 appetizers and entree. $12 for kids. While you wait for your food, help yourself to the buffet. There's about 10 fusion type sushi rolls, soup, salads, crab legs and fresh desserts that are made there (no pre-packaged Costco junk here) I had the ceviche and teriyaki filet mignon. Both came beautifully prepared and were delicious! The one thing that would make this place even better is if they would offer an option for buffet only.

After a particularly long post-work evening shopping until closing time for a "new" used car at CarMax, I was famished. Not being one to venture out to Doral often, I turned to my trusty yelp app to find a good place to eat and we decided on Green Plate Asian Bistro. We came in late so there weren't that many people in there but the hostess/waitress was very sweet and attentive. They have a large menu and it took a long time for me to decide but I ended up getting a sushi combo that was entirely too much food but well worth the price. I also got eel shashmi and it was a very large portion and came presented in this giant bowl with a lot of garnish (radish, ginger, kale, etc.) My Boyfriend got the seabass which was cooked really well and was in a delicious sauce. It came with a GIANT bowl of rice which was kind of unnecessary but nothing to complain about. My only complaint is that the miso soup that came with both of our meals (choice of soup or salad) was really really salty so I would recommend getting the salad instead. Overall I think this place is reasonably priced especially for the amount of food you get (HUGE Portions), fresh, and healthy. I am glad that I found this place and will be back whenever I am in the area.

Today was my first time here and I loved it! This buffet was different than most buffets since you get to choose an appetizer and entree + the buffet selection. I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet selection of sushi rolls, scallops, oysters, ceviche, salad, crab legs, etc. basically what you are supposed to order from the menu are the hot entrees. The salad bar + sushi + dessert are part of the buffet. I have nothing negative to say about this establishment. The service and food was outstanding, I will return soon! For dinner you have two options the $32 one which comes with 2 appetizers of your choice +entree+buffet or the $26 which only comes one appetizer.

Green plate is a really cool new restaurant unlike any other restaurant I've been to. very fresh buffet, and it's very upscale. you are given the choice of a entree (weekdays only for lunch), an entree and appetizer, or an entree and two apps (on the weekends). the buffet is included. the buffet had a selection of 2 soups, lobster bisque and mushroom. didn't have the mushroom, but the lobster bisque wasn't very lobster-y..just a lot of cream. there was a large selection sushi, all gourmet and made with love. it was very good. they also have a selection of gourmet salts, I didn't really know what to do with them but they were cool! on the other side of the buffet you have a small salad bar (caprese, shrimp, chicken salad, etc), seafood (including oysters on the half shell snow crab legs, and more), and then desserts with an ice cream machine. the snow crab legs were very good and a nice item to have on the buffet. the desserts were pretty good, especially the fruit tart! they also had creme brûlée, which is actually my favorite dessert. however these were a bit salty. I think when making it the chef might have put in a tad too much salt on accident. as for the entrees and appetizers, I had the Chinese marinated steak and pad Thai. my boyfriend had the pork belly bun and duck breast. my steak was lovely! the marinade was perfect and the meat melted in your mouth bc it was so tender. the pad Thai was pretty good, but they needed to put more sugar in it. if they would have done that, it would have been excellent. my boyfriend says the pork belly bun was very good. and that the duck was very good, but next one he would try something else. the thing I don't like about this place is they don't let you take home any leftovers. I knew that'd be true for the buffet, but I would have expected them to give us a box for the entrees so that we don't waste anything. also, it's quite expensive for dinner. since they were new, I was hoping they would give you a certain percent off if you checked in or something. oh well, maybe next time!

This place is amazing!!!! The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the décor is beautiful! The have a great menu. I ordered from the lunch menu for takeout one day and ordered the Bento Box chicken teriyaki. It came with so much food and the price was great! only about 11 bucks! I visited the restaurant again for a sit down dinner and order the Ultimate Dynamite Roll as recommended by our great waiter. It was THE BEST SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I will definitely go back again, this time to try out their buffet they have on Saturdays and Sundays! So Yummy!!!!

Walking in you see the beautiful and natural elements in the decor...along with the upbeat music. The music was a bit too upbeat though as you enjoy the good because it was more like dance music. The good was fresh and beautifully displayed as if works of art. I enjoyed the dining experience but the entree that was ordered took a bit longer than should have and so my group visited the dessert area while the food was being prepared. Lemon rhubarb ice cream, and green tea ice cream...perfect, light and refreshing. Bite sized portions of tiramisu, strawberry mouse, and tres leche, along side brownies, and cookies. Very tasty! Great experience and I will be a repeat customer!

I can unequivocally state that this place is, in fact, the best thing Doral has to offer. The second best thing is the awful traffic, and the third best is that it's still technically in America. Doral has a lot going for it. I haven't decided yet whether I think Doral is shittier than Kendall. On the one hand, Doral contains everything I hate about Miami, but on the other hand, Kendall contains everything else I hate about Miami. It's like trying to decide whether Honey Boo Boo's mom hit rock bottom when she gained enough weight to personify "rock bottom", or when she started dating a sex offender. It took me a bit of tabloid magazine browsing to figure out that the guy is a sex offender because he molested a child, not because he offended everyone by hooking up with Lardy Boo Boo. So anyway, I only go to Doral when I need to visit my parents. This past weekend, Dana and I decided to just eat in the area, and Green Plate seemed like a good enough option. I didn't go in with high expectations since it used to be a buffet, and the only time I eat at a buffet is when I'm at some all-inclusive Mexican gluttony fest. Yeah, it's in Mexico, but it's only white people eating it. It's such a Western thing to know most of the world barely hits a caloric equilibrium, and we're here challenging people to eat as much food and norovirus as possible for a low, flat rate. Even though I didn't expect much, I was pleasantly surprised. So pleasantly surprised, in fact, that I had Dana take photos of our food. I never give enough of a shit to do that, mostly because I've always openly judged people who do that, but I ate some cognitive bias for breakfast, so I gave myself a pass. Plus, technically, I wasn't the one taking the pictures, so I'm clear. The menu looked appetizing. The first thing I picked were the chicken and waffles. If there's a menu with "a big stack of cash" and "chicken and waffles", I'll take the chicken and waffles every time, mostly because I'd have to pay taxes on that cash. I don't know what that red sauce they poured over the chicken was, but even if it's dog blood (which according to the Internet is a real possibility), I'd order it again. That waffle was so good it made me adventurous enough to eat sushi. I mean, yeah, the sushi was cooked and then fried (America.), but it's still sushi so that's a huge step for me. It's like getting Honey Boo Boo's mom to admit that maybe dating the guy who molested her daughter is a terrible fucking idea. I won't admit whether I liked the sushi or not, but the fact that I'm not talking shit about it is probably pretty telling. If I ever opened up a restaurant, I would give items the least-appetizing names I could think of. Bacon-wrapped figs? No, it's a ficus dropping enveloped in fatty flesh from a swine's carcass. I would open this restaurant up somewhere on Kendall Drive and people would be like, "oh, finally, good things to eat around here." Just like the other stuff, these figs were tight. I almost ordered another, but I looked at an ice cube in my drink and remembered the wise words of '90s Ice Cube before he sold out: "Check yoself before you consume too much LDL cholesterol which, according to the American Heart Association, increases your risk of heart disease." It's just like Ice Cube to start off thug as fuck, and morph into a family-friendly shell of a gangsta. If someone gives me the choice between duck or chicken, I'll choose duck every single time. It's like leveling up. It's a bit gamier, and every time I eat it I imagine I'm tearing apart one of those annoying-ass canal ducks we have all over Miami. This duck didn't taste like a canal duck, though, because it didn't immediately give me duck AIDS, which I know must be a thing. Desserts are my kryptonite. Bullets, knives, parasites, fungi, prions, bacteria, viruses, cancer, accidents, gamma ray bursts, etc. are my kryptonite as well, but desserts are what's gonna kill me. Any time a place has key lime pie, it doesn't matter if my stomach feels like what Honey Boo Boo's mom's stomach looks like it feels like all the damn time, I'm always going to order the key lime pie. If it's what causes my stomach to rupture, so be it. Lots of times, they end up disappointing, but this was not one of those times. My favorite part is the crust, and if I could just order a big bowl of crust, that would be my Valhalla. For now, though, Green Plate will be my Valhalla in Doral, and when I go back, they better have a bowl of pie crust for me or I'll amend this entire review. PEOPLE WHO WOULD ENJOY IT: Doral citizens; adventurous Asian cuisine lovers; me. PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY IT: According to Yelp, all the fat asses who are bummed about this place no longer being a buffet.

Actually really liked this place. There were a few things that are not letting me give them five stars, but based on the fact that the food was so great and service really picked up, four stars it is. First of all, our waiter didn't greet us until 15 minutes we were there. Second, ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and the glass came with pink lipstick on it super gross! But like I said, food was delicious and ambience was really nice... I would definitely be back! Price is also inexpensive.

We has a great Sunday lunch here. You can either choose the brunch ($29 x person) or the menu option. We chose the menu and really like the crispy avocado egg, pulpo a la gallega (octopus) as starters. They where delicious!

Just stuffed out face here for $38.. Absolutely beautiful environment and the service by waitress Liz was outstanding. The refills were constant. Never once asked for a refill because she was on top of everything. Food came out pretty fast. Had the crispy avocado appetizer and the crab avocado salad. Omg it was yummy:) and the Ultimate Dragon Roll was one of the best rolls I have tried. The coconut ice cream Was ok, my man loved it though. Very different. The food wasn't typical. Definitely recommend. THANKS LIZ!! (Tip her well)

Best Asian Restaraunt in Doral! The food is fresh and natural and is not overly salted or oily. The servers are very pleasant and well educated. I will definitely be returning since I am Doral local! - I also noticed that everyone is saying they removes the buffet.. But that's not true, they just decided to open the buffet on weekends rather than every single day. I personally liked the menu options and thought they were delicious. There was enough food to share between two people per plate.

The food was great, the fruit sodas were very refreshing. The ambiance is very trendy, and cool! We were able to get a table right away during the lunch rush in Doral which was excellent. Go on an empty stomach, the amount of food that is served is great for the $$$$.

I'm a bit torn, to be honest. I first heard about this place about a month ago and have gone twice since then and those first two times I would have given this restaurant 10 stars if I had the opportunity. It was that great. Here is why it was so great: for $26 you would get an appetizer and an entrée from their "sugarcane style" tasting menu (which is delicious) and on top of that get access to their all you can eat sushi buffet. When I say "sushi buffet" I don't mean POC/every other sushi buffet in Miami that has all you can eat average quality sushi. This place had extremely high quality sushi on their buffet. I'm talking about better than what you would order at most sit down sushi restaurants. However, when I went yesterday to take a friend and my mother to eat here guess what happened? Green Plate "BUFFET" no longer offers a buffet. Only an a la carte menu. Really guys? What's with that all of a sudden change of heart? You grow a very large client base with your great format and then switch it up on us. I'm sure their a la carte menu is great. But I don't plan on going to Green Plate BUFFET to sit down and order.

We walked into this restaurant wanting to eating great sushi. Upon entering, you have such a wonderful design. Very open, high ceilings and trendy decor. We were greeted immediately and were sat shortly after. Our server took our drink orders but didn't explain any specials or changes to the menu (no more buffet). Once we placed our orders it took absolutely forever. Our server rarely came back for water refills. For starters we ordered edamame and an avocado roll. It took 15 minutes to get since we placed the order. Following that, for entrees our partied ordered two rolls, Pork Fried rice, shrimp fried rice and a stir fry. About 25 minutes later one guest received her sushi rolls. As she was taking her final bite we received our food. Of course, I had to get up to the server area and realize our food was just sitting there. Our waiter saw us and rushed over to grab the plates. Which was a total of about 40 minutes since we ordered the food. Terrible! Finally, we asked her for our bill she dropped it off and never came back for it. I literally had to walk it to her. She was too busy in the front of house. I struggle giving the restaurant less than four stars because the food actually was really good. But the service was terrible and unorganized. It destroyed our overall experience.

If you are the type of person who strives to get the best quality food available, all I can say is that Green Plate puts all other buffets in South Florida to the test. The Fusion style food served "haute-cuisine" and buffet style, along with the really smart, modern and Zen-like decor makes for a very fun and novel dining experience. The appetizer, entree and buffet combo is a really good strategy to get the customers excited about the variety they are about to indulge in. My appetizer was the grilled green peppers - really cooked well, had a nice balance of crunchy and soft. For my entrée I ordered the Asian spare ribs, which were simply to DIE FOR! Meat is super juicy and tender, falls right off the bone! The real fun starts when you get to the buffet. I've never had sushi prepared in such interesting and unique ways, and now I can't even imagine enjoying myself at my local half-ass sushi buffet. There are lots of other interesting items to choose from, so I took a little bit of everything. Loved the seaweed salad and asparagus! You might feel full and possibly bloated by the time you finish your meal, but you KNOW there's always room for desert. All the deserts at the buffet are scrumptious - my favorites were the authentic creme brulee and the strawberry shot! Most people walk out of this restaurant when they see the price and usually end up having bland and disgusting food at either Applebee's or Original Pancake House , Green Plate's close neighbors. I came here during Labor Day weekend, and there were only about 6 other customers in this beautiful restaurant. The parking lot was crowded, but that was for the long line at pancake house. Pretty sad I must say, but it makes sense since most Doral residents would rather get their cheap fill of good ol' American comfort food, rather than have expensive food that's a bit more radical. I will admit that Green Plate is a special occasion-type restaurant, considering the $130 three-person lunch. But YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It's rare for a restaurant in South Florida to have the same passion for quality that Green Plate does, and most of them close because the people can't appreciate quality. Without customers, Green Plate is doomed. Get here before it's gone.

I was looking for another place to have sushi near my home. Well I found it and it was amazing. The food here is excellent. The restaurant has a great ambiance. The decor is very Zen. The Smokey Applewood Roll is top 5 greatest rolls I've ever had. Not too mention great drinks. If I had to critique one thing was that the service was slow. Besides that A-.

Been here twice.. The first time the food tasted great BUT it was not hot! I found this to be a bit of a turn off. The service was great though! We returned for the Sunday buffet... Was expecting more options but overall the food was good. There was only thing that I was SO DISAPPOINTED about, THE CHEESE WAFFLE! I was so excited to try it but it's DISGUSTING!!!

Found this place on yelp (of course), and I've been dying to try it out for a while now. We went on a Thursday night. Once we walked in, we were immediately seated. The place itself is very nicely decorated and clean. To begin, we ordered the crab rangoons. It was very tasty. I loved it, my bf and I devoured them all. For my entree, I ordered the applewood smoked salmon roll. The presentation was very nice, and it tasted great as well. My bf ordered the churrasco roll, I wasn't too sure on how great it would be just because I had never heard of this before. Once we tried it out, it was absolutely delicious. We were attended by two different people, and they were both very nice and attentive. Every few minutes they'd ask us how everything was going and if we needed more water. I had a great first experience, and I'm dying to go back to try some of their other stuff!

Visiting from out of town for our anniversary and found via Yelp. Wonderful presentation and some of the best sushi I've ever had. Highly recommended. The service was spectacular! Richard, our server, asked what brought us in. After mentioning our anniversary, he congratulated us and off he went. He came back 20 minutes later with the entire crew singing happy anniversary. Didn't see that coming.

Amazing. I can't wait to come back ! I got the bacon wrapped dates and I want to come back just for that alone. Food was perfect and our waitress was great.

I have held off on writing this review, because with each visit the rating oscillate from 3 to 5 stars, so I couldn't make up my mind how to rate this place. Sometimes we get awesome service and sometimes we feel neglected. At times the food is delish and at times tasteless and bland. First off, no dispute this place is beautifully, tastefully decorated. They have a nice varieties for lunch, bento boxes, petit sushi, hot plates (ribs, salmon, etc), rice and noodles, including a few vegetarian options. The bento box is probably the best option, with a little bit of everything. And it comes with a bowl of rice so you are unlikely to go hungry, though sometimes we find that there's not enough meat to go with the rice. Spicy fried rice is delicious too. For their buffet, it's best to come in a group. There's not a lot of food out on the buffet table, most of the tapas you order at your table. You can pick two per person, so with a group you can try most of the things you want without being stuck with something you end up not liking. Of the tapas, the galbi and miso cod are our fave, the chicken waffle sadly comes out too soggy, and crispy corvina just your average fried fish. Out at the buffet table, there are two soups (but somehow not hot enough), a few sushi that are very delicious and definitely several cuts above other sushi buffets. There are some salads, ceviches and the like. I was excited to see the macarons but they were dry and hard. The homemade ice cream was nice though. So, overall, better than your average buffet, but some hits and misses.

whats the word i'm looking for....... ADDICTED!!! i think i go here at least 2 times a week, i work in the area so i'm excused. they have a weekend buffet that i'm thinking of making the drive back to Doral for. i usually order the same thing (yes, i'm basic) but i have tried some other items too. so here we go: Petite Lunch $8 comes with miso AND salad and choice of petite roll. I usually get the spicy Kani (crab) which is a good amount. it's pretty filling and it good option for lunch. I've also had the Hamachi Scallion (not good!) Ceviche: not bad, i'm sure you've probably had better, everyone also has a ceviche place that's better.... but this one. it's bad. don't be fooled, it looks like it's a little for $12 but it's actually really filling. Kanisu (riceless roll): very sweet, no rice so it's carb/paleo friendly Salmon Tempura Roll (riceless): i'm not a fan of cream cheese, but if you are then go for it. i personally didn't like this one. its not bad when you eat it hot but once it gets cold, blah. I think it's really cause i don't like cream cheese. Ultimate Dragon Roll: this is a MONSTER roll and worth everything! it's a Dragon Roll on steroids. really really GOOD! American Dream Roll: another one that really good. you can't go wrong with this one. i go there often so i plan on trying different things so stay tuned for an update once I've eaten through that menu! LOL

Phenomenal, phenomenal! The interior design of the restaurant is fabulous. I have been driving past this restaurant every day for over a year and I'm glad I tried it out yesterday. Liz, our waitress was awesome! After our delicious tuna cappricio and two mouth watering tempura sushi rolls she offered us the desert menus. I shook my head immediately. "I'm going to have to roll me out of here!" I said. Liz said, "I'll help you roll out." She was funny and recommended the Thai donuts, which were great! The food was spectacular and the service was amazing. I'm definitely coming back for their happy hour (4pm-7pm) to try their wine and tapas

Tl;dr: so good. It's so good that the boy and I came here back to back haha! For dinner and then the next day for the Sunday brunch buffet with friends. :) Love the look of the place and the food. Must haves off the regular menu: - crispy avocado egg. Especially if you like avocados (the haas kind) and even if you don't! The tuna and spicy mayo make his super tasty! Plus, you can get a side of eel sauce and further dip! :) yum! - spicy salmon tartare was delicious and refreshing. :) love the sauce/mix they do with the salmon! And the added crunch of the terra style chips make this fun to eat also. From the brunch buffet: it's currently on Sundays 11a-4p for $29 (including the price cos I searched high and low for it and couldn't find it... Lol). Mimosa/sangria is +$7 for 1 or +$15 for unlimited refills (get your lush on!) AND you get either 2 orders from the tapas section or 1 order from the entree section. We loved the galbi short ribs and the crispy avocado egg. :) the cheese waffle and fried chicken was too heavy for us haha. My favorite thing from the buffet was the green tea creme brûlée. Omg. I would eat my money back on those alone lol. It's super strong on the matcha flavor (just how I like it!). :) Other than that, tablemates loved the crab legs (all around yum! To the flavor) and the oysters. :) Thanks Tri and Barb for the heads up on this location!!

This place is easy to miss! It's next to the Applebee's I live in the neighborhood and have passed their place numerous times. It is worth the try! They have fresh sushi and cooked plates as well. I had a small group but I saw huge boats of sushi being served to another table with 6 people. The decor is great, service is good and the food tasted great. I will return to try some more food. Definitely worth the stop.

Wonderful new place in Doral serving Asian fusion and sushi bento boxes. The service was a little slow but they were busy and the food and presentation was fantastic. Be sure to try their signature teas.

Someone recommended this place and based on the pictures, the place looked awesome for Valentines so my journey began. The service was great. We had an experienced waiter. Knowledgeable and service-oriented. They have buffets on Saturdays and Sundays. It was $32 dollars a person. This included all you can eat from soups, salads, sushi and desserts. The kicker were the two tapas that are included. I had churrasco and mignon. Small portions but somehow got really full. Food was amazing. To finish the night. They brought a flower and two cookies with the bill. It was a great Feb 14th.

Been wanting to try this place ever since it opened, so today, after a grueling leg workout, I took a road trip to Doral to refill my calorie bank. Green Plate is a lot less hectic and crowded than other buffets. It felt civilized, without the Biggest Loser crowd and their sugar-high offspring. The wait staff is great, fast, friendly and more professional than many white table clothed hotspots. What's unique about their $28 weekend lunch buffet is that you get to chose two a la carte entrees. They call them appetizers, but take my word for it, these plates are BIG. In fact, I was so full after both that I was not able to make a second trip to the buffet, which is a first in the history of Ute. I normally pile it on until my eyes pop out. At first glance, the options aren't as plentiful as other buffets, like P.O.C. or Ginza. But less options can be a good thing. The fresh salad with homemade ginger dressing was a nice start. Both the seared tuna and salmon sashimi were fresh and delicious. The tempura fried calamari were surprisingly tender and light, very well executed. Not such a fan of the crab rangoon, they had a funny mayo taste, and mayo has no business inside rangoon. There are about six different maki rolls to chose from, all pretty much the same: Americanized sushi on steroids. Imagine multiple combinations of fish, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, crab salad, eel sauce and spicy mayo, in different variations and as crazy looking as possible. I do recall one particular tempura fried roll with spicy crab salad and eel sauce on top that was strangely good. The heavy handed use of mayo carries over into the entrees. So you may want to let your waiter know if that's not your thing. My oat crusted tempura shrimp was topped with an orange mayo sauce, which was kind of sweet. Not a fan of the sauce, but the shrimp were cooked perfectly and not greasy. The star on the menu and complete no-brainer is the miso glazed black cod. I was shocked so see the portion, looked like an 8 ounce filet. You would easily pay $28 or more for the same dish at Makoto or high end seafood restaurants. The fish was perfectly cooked, the best part being the crispy miso glazed skin. I did use my fork to scrape off the mayo sauce, which once again, had no business on the plate. I did force feed myself some desserts, even though I was bursting at this point. Thankfully, they were small. The chocolate and peanut butter macarons and creme brûlée were my favorites, the gold flecked chocolate mousse was also quite good, the rest were misses. Greenplate, if you're listening, EASE UP on the mayonnaise and the cream cheese! Other than that, almost perfect.

Amazing happy hour specials & great environment for a few drinks and tapas. I had the seaweed salad, rocky shrimp & tuna roll. The seaweed salad is light, smoky and topped with sesame seeds. The ricky shrimp is lightly breaded in a sweet fruit yogurt type of sauce over a bed of lettuce. It is a must have. Though staff is short after hours stop by for happy hour drink & tapas specials. You cant beat the prices and delicious food.

Wow, ok my very first 3 star review and I'm saddened to say that it goes to Green Plate :/ I really love the food here but if it weren't for the poor wait staff and manager service today, I would've probably given them a 5 star review. For starters my friend and I arrived at 12:10 pm, a waiter didn't stop by to take order until 10/15 minutes of waiting, then we realize our food was taking forever so I looked over at the food bar and noticed our food was just sitting there, so I call the manager and advised him our food was taking too long... Then he goes and checks, and sure enough it was our food that was just sitting there, so he brings it over... At this point we are crunching time to get back to work so when our waiter finally decides to stop by and check up on us about 20 minutes later we just ask for our check...which if we'd not asked the manager to bring our food we'd still be waiting for it!! But ANYWAY, at this point we just want to cash out so we give him two credit cards and he goes off ... Another 10 minutes later he comes back with only ONE credit card and all charged to that ONE card!!! At this point we are beyond LIVID and trying to call over our waiter and requesting for our waiter from all other waiters (as he was MIA once more) so we ask for the manager, who after asking three times for him, comes over and we explain that we are missing a credit card, and he nonchalantly said "ok I'll take care of it" but then our waiter magically shows up!!! Saying he has the two cards and the bill split in two... And the Manager instead of offering apologies or compensating the two time mishaps of our waiter, he simply turned around and walked away!!!! So when my friend and I finally signed our bills and tipped only 10% I said to our waiter "wow! We really got poor service today" and he responded "oh really?!!" And I just couldn't help myself so I said "yes!!! Really!!! First we waited for ever for our food and if it weren't for the manager we'd still be waiting it and then you lose my friends credit card!!!" And only until then did we receive an apology :( Unfortunately, the damage was done and even though I love the food there, both my friend and I left with a bad taste in our mouths from the poor customer service ...and after giving them so much of my business ( lunch at least once/twice a week) I will be taking a break from here!!! My one hour lunch turned, into an almost two hour lunch :(( So if it weren't for the food I'd given this time a 2 vs. 3 stars when any other day I'd of given 5... But my favorite lunch items are: - The Mixed Pad Thai lunch which contains chicken, beef, and shrimp - The sushi bento box w soup/salad and rice/fried rice My favorite house beverages: - the passion fruit iced tea or soda - go honey green tea soda

Went to this place on a Saturday night to have dinner and drinks. Inside the restaurant is decorated very nicely and it seemed to have been remodeled recently. I ordered a glass of wine which was filled out generously and also ordered a small plate of stir fried calamari which was very good. The prices were reasonable and the service was ok. I would return to try other items in the menu.

Scouting for a new sushi spot in Doral and averted to this place while narrowing down choices thanks to the pretty photos from thy fellow yelpers. Lets just say that though the photos are nice, walking in here is nicer. Very modern with great play of green and nude/earth colors. There are only a handful of times I'm this keen to such eatery and this place caught my future home ambiance idea bank. (No surprise my future home would be in a restaurant too) Alright, food time. Had the evening weekday menu which turned out to be very extensive so it took forever for my honey and I to order. Our server was patient with us. Ended up with the: Crispy Avocado Egg - ingenious idea of filling the empty void of a sliced avocado with tuna. The crispy texture was not only for, texture, but I can see that this allows it to be a 'finger food' as well, otherwise it'll just fall apart. One of the reasons why we came here. Pork Belly Carpaccio - consider this cheat day and fat is your friend. These slices were juicy and tasteful. Spring mix on top not only made it felt less guilty but if it wasn't there, this would had been too sweet. I'd get it again. Pan Seared Foie Gras - okay, this had the best presentation of them all. There was a nice helping of foie gras as well, so be prepared to have 'oily' lips. The onion marmalade stole most of the show here but you can omit as you go. We enjoyed every single 'dish' delivered and let me just add that the plating for all our dishes were on point. To continue our food exploration we ended with their Key Lime Tart with blueberry smear underneath. This satisfied the opposed sweetness we were looking for but kept having for our earlier courses. A few notes: We had the Lychee Martini which was the only thing we didn't like, having to have a strange after taste. Service was attentive, again, evening weekday and not busy. They have their sushi buffet during the weekend, will surely come back to check it out.

Love this restaurant! I actually first tried it thanks to Yelp's reviews. The place is so nicely decorated, their staff is very professional and friendly. Every time I go I try to order something new and so far I've liked everything except the tuna tartar. However, I love their Tuna Carpaccio (Tataki) and how they serve it with a bit of pesto sauce -- Weird combination but it's actually delicious! I'm also a fan of their Ultimate Dragon Roll and their Bacon Wrapped dates! YUM. (I have yet to try their weekend's buffet) Highly recommended!

This is it Yelp. This place takes the cake. I could dine here 7 days a week, 3 times a day, and still never be underwhelmed. The owner is such a perfectionist with a wonderful eye for detail. Not only are the flavors exactly what my palette is craving, but there is such a variety! The decorations are also extremely beautiful. This menu has everything you need, and done well. My favorites are the crispy avocado egg, black cod, and churrasco.

I believe they've removed the buffet and only offer the buffet on weekends at lunch time. For the weekend lunch buffet it came out to be $35 for two people not including tax and tip. We each picked an entree that came out to our table and then the buffet with the sushi rolls, soups, salads, ceviche, some desserts, and soft serve was open to us. The entrees varied greatly in size and taste. I ate one entrée and sampled the others. I think the baby back ribs were alright and probably the best entree value wise. The Korean short ribs were somewhat small and harder to get meat off the bones. The omakase/sashimi offering was meh. The rolls looked similar to the ones already at the buffet, but were filled with actual raw fish instead of imitation crab. The sashimi was okay. The pork belly buns were also okay. Onto the buffet items: I liked the cucumber wrapped sushi roll. The spicy tuna roll was also acceptable. Otherwise, you have a lot of rolls that are basically California rolls without raw fish that are jazzed up a tiny bit. I basically tried eating the cold shrimp to make up for my disappointment with the rest of the buffet. The mushroom seaweed soup was not good. I usually like all soups. The soft serve, despite the interesting flavors, were not tasty. I appreciate that they were going for something different but the mint matcha and banana flavors were not yummy. Everyone at the table thought it could be better. The desserts are enticing looking, but not memorable. They do an excellent job on presentation in general. The cutesy hipster chalkboard labels are adorable. I'm not sure what they were thinking with the salt buffet. It didn't really make sense. Hopefully they've taken that part away by now. I'd rather have more food offerings than sprinkling Hawaiian pink salt on my food. Our server, a young guy, was friendly, warm, and patient considering we had a child with us. The worst part of our experience was that other servers (other than the nice guy we had as our server) were very RUDE. I was leading my two year old nephew (holding his hand) as we went up and down the stairs. We were at the later end of the lunch buffet time so there were barely any customers walking around. But whenever we crossed paths with other servers, they oddly made us move out of their way. I found this very strange considering that servers are usually trained to stop and wait for customers to pass. Even when we were walking on the right side of the ramp, an older, female server with short hair basically pushed us out of the way. I really hope management addresses this issue. Servers should always stop and wait for customers to pass instead of trying to squish past diners.

The service is good; for me that's very important. In general, the menu has a lot of variety and the quality of food is good. Te prices are also good. I ordered the tuna guacamole wraps, they're excellent! Their pork belly had good rating but I wasn't crazy about it. I have had better. The pear salad was different and refreshing and the drinks are summer good. I did not know Doral could have such innovative restaurants. The ambiance is also nice for family and friend groups.

Amazing decor, the food is delicious and I love all the different options of food they have! They take classic asian dishes and add an innovative twist that make it unique! Try their house made drinks and iced teas. The fried avocado tuna appetizer is to die for! Can't wait to come back!

So while everyone is complaining about how they removed the buffet, I'm gonna rave about how it is so much better now that they did! I felt the buffet in general was a little hodgepodge. It was a few of the more popular rolls and then you had tomato caprese, chicken salad, some other random unrelated stuff along with little bite sized desserts, but never anything that blew me away. I had an appreciation for the buffet only because it was so fresh and so clean but truthfully it wasn't a foodie's paradise. I've been back twice since the change where the buffet was removed and I must admit this place has definitely earned its extra star. Lots of creative and homemade items on the menu that weren't there before. Today I tried the bacon wrapped dates, pad thai and some avocado crunchy tuna tartarmajigga along with a tres leches with all kinds of made from scratch cookie, sauces and just good stuff. The food was amazing and so was our server Lourdes. We tried a lot of her recommendations and were not disappointed. It's as if we were friends since forever... Today's experience at Green Plate was wholeheartedly what I wish every lunch experience would be...full of new things, new flavors and just downright good service!

A friend and I stopped for a quick lunch. Service was very good. I had one of the best won ton soups I have ever had. Big portion and delicious and fresh tasting. I had the tuna and avocado wrap. I was disappointed it wasn't really a wrap at all but it was good. My friend had the most gorgeous display of I think the ultimate sushi roll or something. Gorgeous and he ate every bit in less than 10 minutes! Fresh food at a great price.

If you are planning on going to sit and eat at this location enjoy it, the food is good but when they mess up your order at least you can send it back. If you are planing to order and pick up make sure you check your order before you leave. The employees here aren't all there and in multiple occasions have made my order wrong... This is after I repeated my order 3 times over the phone . If this would've happened once I would let it slide, but since it's the second time i decided to let you all know to check before you walk out. If I ever get food from here again I will make sure to triple check next time before I walk out. Manager needs to train their staff on taking orders and handling complaints over the phone.

Great service! I have only been there once and it was a pretty neat place, and the interior was not what I expected at all. I loved the atmosphere! It looked very modern and had cute indoor plants. I had ordered the Thai Spiced Fried Rice; it was really tasteful, but in my opinion had an overload of peanuts. And the dessert was fabulous. If you have a sweet tooth it's perfect. I thought it was too sweet and couldn't finish it all, but it was still delicious.

Ok, i will try to review this place based in additional observations to the ones my fellow yelpers already wrote. Yes, this place is a mix of a medium-high end buffet and a main platter with complementary food for a fixed price. It all depends on how you look at it. Oh, and, yes, the food is of good quality and flavour. Now, about the things i discovered today and made me think that i will come back again several times. They have some craft beer! It is not common to find them in a restaurant, now add to this that the place is in doral. Add to this mix a well decorated modern place with good service. Perfect combination! For more details about the food, please check out the other reviews! Lol.

I'm going to retract my previous review, since I realize that the buffet is brought back on Sundays! As usual, the food is GREAT. The buffet is the best I've ever witnessed in the Miami/Doral area. The waiters are always attentive and give the best advice when it comes to ordering the entrees. Food items from either the buffet and the menu are of top quality. My favorite selection from the buffet is the green tea flan in the small, white bowls. Those give off a sweet and creamy flavor. I find it very innovative. I'd also recommend the surf and turf from the entree menu, a tender Filet Mignon wrapped in sauteed peppers. Would I recommend this place? yes, definitely.

Our server Liz was amazing! She attended us super fast and was very nice. The decor is nice but the lights are really bright which makes this place uninviting. The reason for my one star is because the food is not good. The combinations sound good but they just didn't work. After ordering three dishes from their tapas page we decided to close out our tab and leave! We have NEVER done this before. We ordered the chicken and waffles - soggy waffle, sour rhubarb sauce, and the chicken was cold. Next we ordered the crispy avocado egg with tuna - the dish was just okay. Finally, we tried the miso "creamy" mushroom soup --- gross !!!!!!! Not creamy more like grainy and clumpy. I will not be returning and I do not recommend.

Oooooooookayyyyyyyyy!!! So the thought of a buffet isn't something that really excites me, (outside of the Wynn in Las Vegas!) But this place may have changed my freaking liiiiiiiife!! Super modern interior!! Amazing food and service that comes with a bow on top. Camilla greeted us at the check in counter and she was warm and helpful. Especially since we didn't know how things worked or what was going on... The servers worked as a team to help us and kept the clean plates flowing.. The food was nothing short of amazing! Everything we had was on point... I don't have enough room to talk about it but I took some picts to attempt to give you a visual of what went down with this brunch turned holy shiiiiit meal!! Lol!! This place is getting booked marked for sure!!! This was a win win win win!!!

No buffet comes anywhere near this one. They really out did them selves. Te food is amazing! The buffet items are fresh and delicious. Definitely making this a regular dinning spot. Just hope the quality never goes down. They have two options either a $26 ( 1 entree, 1 appetizer, plus the buffet) or a $32 (1 entree, 2 appetizers, plus the buffet) the fried avocados with tuna are to die for and the desserts are better than most high end restaurants I've been too. Can't wait to go back.

Let me start by saying that I don't like buffets, much less Asian ones (no offense). But this place turned in a believer. The atmosphere was modern, house lounge music, modern furniture, clean restroom (big plus) Food and service exceeded any and all expectations, my party a second in the need of anything. The buffet food was OK, the entree and appetizers were on the spot, the desserts are delicious. The total for four people was $115 which is a little pricey but I would definitely come back again in the future.

Even without the buffet; I think the food is still super delicious. Their sushi and sashimi was very fresh, and their selection of fish is not the typical Japanese restaurant you found in the city, which to me is a plus. Service is attentive with a smile. Homemade drinks was surprisingly good. Prices is reasonable. I definitely will go back again to try some more!

Awesome restaurant, the decor is simple, unusual but very classy. Our server, Lourdes, was very knowledgeable and courteous. For a buffet style restaurant, it was super clean and inviting, you know they took time in the presentation. I had the avocado for appetizer and the salmon for main, everything was super delicious. Forgive me I forgot the actual names of my meal but feel free to check out the pictures.

I've only been to this place once but I've been meaning to go back because their appetizers were fantastic. I had some ribs and my friend had the lettuce wraps which were also delicious. Price was it was average, not the cheapest but not expensive. It was worth the price. The place is very well decorated and has a very pleasent environment. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend.

I was here last night for dinner and the restaurant was very cool and the food was pretty great although it took forever for the server to come see us. She didn't even know we had been assigned to her until we stopped someone and asked them to please find our waiter. It also didn't help that there was a huge party of maybe 30 people sitting next to us. It was very uncomfortable and loud. But we'll definitely give it another try. The atmosphere was nice and the food was fresh and tasty.

Excellent Restaurant, delicious and fresh sushi, desserts are amazing. I love the atmosphere and the presentation of the food. Every plate deserves a photo. Loved the nigiri, the tuna was super fresh and colorful. There's something that tells you about the quality of sushi: the rice... melts in your mouth. Only two things to advice to management: 1-Get a full Bar (Sake and wine are good but would love to have more options) 2-Hire more servers for friday night (they were overwhelmed!) Keep up the good work!

We have been there twice. Once during a la cart dinner and the other during brunch on a Sunday. Brunch was great. Lots of options and a stacked sushi bar. Brunch special mimosas are only $2. Dinner was good. Service was ok. You MUST try the chicken and waffles. Yum!

What a great menu. The tapas menu is awesome with some great choices. I have not been disappointed with anything they brought out. Some unique & different combinations that are reasonable in price. Would highly recommend.

Excellent dinner, I had the mixed stir fry and my husband had the sesame chicken. We were both blown away! This place is awesome! The ambiance is wonderful and the food is delightful! Our ticket was only $36! This would be a wonderful place for date night, the music was trendy and not so loud that we couldn't visit. We will be back!

We went for lunch and we both got the tuna and salmon maki bento box with ginger salad. Everything was very good. The salad was on the same level as any other place. The sushi was very good. It was fresh tasting and had just the right texture and taste. We upgraded to the fried rice over plain white rice and that was a huge plus. The fried rice was really good and I recommend the upgrade for about $2. My wife and I shared the Rogue Morimoto Soba Ale (22oz). It was a very good beer to drink with sushi and salad. The decor is very modern and up to date. Service was also good. Thumbs up!!

I went back this weekend and was shocked by the $28 priced buffet. It was way over priced for what it was. Totally not worth it - especially during lunch!

Buffet is not worth the $28. Tasted like left overs from earlier in the day (this was a lunch buffet....). No hot foods available except for the wings, but the wings weren't hot/warm. Lobster bisque tasted like someone spilled cigarette ashes in them. Ive had way better for the price. Decor is alright. Should probably avoid their buffet at all costs and always go al la carte.

First time be here. Is so expensive for lunch. 28 dollars for buffet. My son who 3 years old have to pay 12 dollars. He not even eat anything. First time ever I got charged for my son. Never come back here ever again. Rather be at POC restaurant. Is only 16 dollars for lunch. And way better food than here.

Food was fresh constant replenishing . Best deal around Doral . I've been to the other Asian buffets around. Too tired and food not inspiring. This restaurant was different and delicious. Keep up the good job

The food was good. HOWEVER, after ordering my ENTREE and not finishing it, I wanted to take it home. I was told I was NOT allowed to take my ENTREE home because it was part of the buffet. I was told by the hostess and the waiter that for $26 I could choose an appetizer and entree from the menu and it would include the buffet. NOT that my entree was part of the buffet. Felt like a bait and switch...NEVER AGAIN!

Come extra hungry if you are having the buffet! I can't begin to describe the amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and although the buffet is limited in options it is all tasty, the 2 tapas that come with buffet are a full meal on its own. I will be coming back soon...

food is ok, but no sashimi buffet doesn't match the price. The waiters are very friendly, but apparently most of them are newbie, not very familiar with the menu and sometimes they forgot to fill drinks. This place is nice and clean, which stands out from regular Asian buffets. There is one thing I don't understand, if entree and buffet are separate, why can't I take my left entree to go?

I would give 5 stars if they hired more experienced and professional servers.. eat the avacado egg ;) best wongtong soup...

My husband and I have been going to this place since it opened last year and we love it. We love the food the ambience and most of all the service we get from Lourdes and Ricardo. They are both amazing!! We just got back from an awesome dinner and Ricardo took care of us and as always we knew we would have a wonderful dinner because he always makes sure that every detail is taken cared of. I have to also mention the Manager since many times he has taken the time to come over and talk to us , he is also very attentive. We really love this place I want to congratulate everyone there the chefs, the hosts, everyone in the staff at Green Plate. Thank You! This is a great place to eat delicious food that is healthy and tasty! I am so happy you are in Doral!!!

My boyfriend and I have been here three times. The first two everything went smoothly because it was a weekday afternoon or evening. Yet last night which was a Friday everything kinda went to hell. We were seated all the way in the back near the kitchen/ server area and still we were ignored for about ten minutes after being seated until I had to call someone's attention. When we ordered our waiter was frazzled and panicky. I ordered their delicious in-house made sodas expecting it to arrive shortly like most drinks do but he forgot about it. Our food took 20-30 min to arrive and during that long wait only once did the waiter come by to say that the food was coming out shortly. When it finally arrived my sushi roll was so poorly rolled it disintegrated every single time I would try to get it in the soy sauce and spicy mayo. And believe it was not because of the way j use chopsticks. Even my boyfriend noticed how the other rolls were so badly rolled before I even touched them. I'm disappointed at the fact that when this place gets busy the quality of service goes tremendously down. I understand it was a Friday night but I have been to other restaurants where the quality does not falter even on the most hectic nights. That's what distinguishes a good restaurant from an incredible restaurant.

Sunday and its empty. They served some of the group the appetizers after the entre and others much later nothing was truly coordinated and some of the group members had to eat before the others as food was getting cold. What a Mess! I will say that this is the first and last time. The food is ok but not something I can say is amazing. For those looking for something amazing this is not it...

Could get a lot better. Sushi was not that impressive. They have a menu that you can pick a dish which is included in the all you can eat. But was not that great either.

So here is the deal. This place has potential as I have gone once before and had a great time. In fact it was so good the first time we had raved about it to everyone in our circle of friends and family and had plans of taking my sister-in-law to the Lunch Buffet for her birthday. Well, my Boyfriend and I had a friend from California and decided to rave about this place and take him out to dinner yesterday on Halloween Night. The reason for the 1 star is that from the moment we walked in it was chaos. Two waiters tending to the tables. Service was pretty bad. We never got refills on our drinks. One of our dishes was wrong, and the other one took so long to come out, that we just asked for it to go. We were ready to pay the bill when the third dish, a vegetable pad thai, finally came to the table. It took about another 15 minutes to wave down the server to bring us our check. Needless to say it was extremely disappointing. With that said, I have hope for this place. The food is very good and the general concept of the restaurant is cool. Management obviously dropped the ball on a Friday night. They were desperately under-staffed. Even the manager was running around bringing dishes to the tables.

I rated green plate yesterday and didn't realize I only gave them 2 stars, my bad! To my readers sorry, and Green Plate sincerely sorry. This restaurant is of high quality, fresh food & gr8 service, plus that server Lourdes really made us smile.

Bestia Asian, no holds barred in Doral. Excellent light Asian fare that packs a punch. Lourdes' service is second to none. She delighted us with the selections and explained everything to us. We walked in but knowing the place and stayed for three plus hours trying all the fare. Once more, Lourdes was sweet, pleasant, and welcoming, haven't been treated like this in a place am not a regular. Loved it!

This place is awesome! Service is great, speedy, and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. The food presentation is very good and the food itself is delicious. Everything we ordered was right on point, and it was 4 of us and none of us ordered the same thing. The buffet has a variety of fresh seafood and sushi along with soup. Worth the $26!!! Ask for Lourdes...great waitress, knows her food.

The buffet is, sadly, no more. Apparently the change is a matter of economics. Now Green Plate serves everything a la carte. Kind of killed the excitement of a gastronomic feast where you could experience the full spectrum of haute cuisine at its best. Now, instead of trying many different menu selections at one sitting, you get to choose only one rather than experiencing many unique flavors. For my money, I'd would have gladly payed even more for their buffet, since there are other similar eateries offering comparable a la carte menus. It was fun while it lasted!

Every single thing about my experience at Green Plate was TERRIBLE: First of all, something to point out in general about this restaurant is that it is NOT child friendly. I came in with my friend who is a single mother and her twin 4 year old daughters and not only did they not have a children's menu, they lacked cups with lids which as our waitress came to learn, is very important when toddlers are drinking juice. This leads me to my next point... the SERVICE was beyond horrible... Our waitress seemed nervous or maybe inexperienced because she had no clue how to do anything. After one of the kids spilled her juice in the middle of ordering, the waitress made a face and literally walked away without saying anything. We waited about 7 minutes while she wandered around aimlessly and a puddle of orange juice sat on our table. Finally, the busboy (a very nice woman) cleaned up the table and brought more juice for the kids. We had to ask the waitress numerous times for basic things like forks, spoons, napkins, and drink refills! Now, let me tell you about the food we ate: Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with manchego cheese- these were ok. They were a little too sweet and the texture was waaay too mushy. House chicken wings- I felt like I was eating chicken dipped in melted fruit jam. Disgusting!! Also, the chicken itself had a weird smell when I bit into it. Porchetta pork belly ramen- the broth had NO flavor. It might as well have been water. The noodles were average and the porchetta pork belly was soggy and flavorless as well. My friend also ordered the green plate Asian ribs- she said they tasted exactly like the chicken wings meaning DISGUSTING The whole meal was overpriced and the place is overhyped. Maybe if I came for the buffet, it would have been better... But I will never know because I will NEVER come back here again and I will warn all my friends against going. The only reason this place deserves even one star is because the decor is beautiful and the woman who wipes the tables was very kind and considerate.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
