OH MY GOODNESS! If there were an option to rate this restaurant even higher, it would get the maximum amount of stars possible! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the kindest hostesses, and sat right away. Our server, JOSE, was incredible. He was absolutely the most attentive and caring server we have had the pleasure of meeting. The food...I cannot even begin to describe how delicious and amazing it was. We ordered the beef carpaccio, which let me say, was the best we have ever had. For our entrees, we ordered: Filet Mignon, Lasagna, and Lobster Ravioli...ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!!! If you're looking for the best lasagna in town, this is the place to get it!! We asked to speak to the manager, simply to say how wonderful the food and service was. Within moments, the manager came and introduced himself. We knew and understood why everything was so good. The attention to detail that Alfredo, the manager, has put into his restaurant is bar none the best we have experienced. Let me put it this way, this place is so awesome that if you were to drop either a knife, spoon, or fork, the staff is capable of deducing which utensil you would need-they're trained on the sounds!! The creme brûlée...amazing...my 1 year old went ham on it! There's nothing else to add that won't otherwise be repetitive. From the hosts, the servers, to the food runners and busboys... GREAT JOB Divieto...keep it up! We will definitely be back! =)

Great food, great ambiance, and great service. Really enjoyed it. Will certainly come back the next time we are in Miami.

A well deserved 5 stars from the kind service to the food. My experience at Divieto has been more than exceptional. Strangely enough, the coffee was delicious, probably one of the best coffee's I had in a while. Now, the food was the start of the show. I ordered a lobster ravioli and it was as close to as what my italian grandmother makes. Next, I tried the ruota di parmegiano, which is tossed in a parmegiano region wheel. It is hard to describe the taste of this dish, try it and be blown away.

Good service, good food, good price! Well recommend! The risotto was not al dente. Nice place and was not loud, good lights.

I have Been following this restaurant on facebook since they opened their doors or at least since they joined fb. Being that it was a co-workers birthday and I work in the Doral area I brought her to this restaurant for lunch. We arrived around noon and surprisingly, it wasn't packed and we were quickly seated. After a few minutes our waiter came to take our drink order. Soon came the bread basket with the dipping oil, the bread basket had an assortment of mini breads, the oil dipping sauce was the usual dip that consist of olive oil, black pepper and PARMIGIANO. We proceeded to place our lunch order, I ordered their lentil soup which I have heard is really good and my friend ordered a New England clam chowder. A few minutes later, they brought the clam chowder soup that my friend ordered and failed to bring me my lentil soup. I waited and waited and yet no soup. When the waiter came to our table to prepare my lunch on site, which was a creamy fettuccine prepared inside the parmigiano cheese wheel(my input on this, below)I told him that I no longer wanted the lentil soup as they never brought it. He said nothing not even an apology. I wasn't impressed with our server, the food might be good but service needs to improve. I will probably go back withy family and hopefully have a pleasant experience this time. Going back to the preparation of the Fettuccini....although it looks interesting, I am not sure it's very hygienic as the waiter's hand, although, wearing a glove that covers only the hand, is inside the cheese wheel mixing the pasta and the sauce together, leaving the forearm exposed to arm hair falling inside. Maybe I am too picky but It made me think twice about what I ate.

Was in search of a yummy Italian place near my mom's house. I had never been here so decided to try it out based on some of the reviews I read. As soon as I pulled up I was a little hesitant. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but oh well. Inside was inviting for the most part. They definitely tried to set a more intimate feel with the dimmed lighting and soft music but with such a large place it's a little difficult. We were seated at a booth off to a corner which was nice and more private. Our server came over to greet us... in Spanish. Now, I'm hispanic and I get that we live in Miami and I'm at a restaurant in Doral but geez this really bothers me. It's not a Spanish restaurant ya know? So on to dinner... the menu is pretty extensive which is nice. We decided on the chicken madeira and fiocchi di pera. The chicken was extra cheesy (no problems there) and very flavorful. A little on the salty side for my taste, but that's my taste. The fiocchi was also pretty good. The pasta itself was very good but the cream sauce was a little thick. I paired the food with a glass of the Pinot Noir they have by the glass and it was actually very good. Was actually too stuffed to try anything else but the deserts looked good. Overall a nice experience. I don't know that I'll come back on my own though... I'm partial to the mom and pops.

Divieto fills a void in authentic Italian eateries in Doral. The atmosphere is dark and relaxing. The food is always amazing and completely filling. For the reasonable prices the value is outstanding as you'll definitely leave satisfied. The Chicken Piccata was outstanding.

This was good but it could be better. We had the tuna tartare, the sea bass and sauteed veggies, the beef carpaccio with truffle oil and the lobster ravioli. We challenged them a bit by sitting outside but we weren't the only people on their patio (view of the parking lot - I just like fresh air and they have the a/c on fairly strongly). The locals dress up to come to this place. Best to communicate in Spanish with your server if you can. We had several misunderstandings until we starting doing that. Our server did not indicate they didn't understand us but obviously they didn't. Our entrees came 5 minutes (felt like 5 minutes maybe 7) after our appetizers were delivered. That's just silly. We each had one bite out of appetizers. The tartare lacked flavor. I requested lime to squeeze on each piece of tuna and that made some improvement. The seabass - the fish was very good, indeed moist as their menu described (juicy) and the veggies were good. I regretted getting something with a butter sauce though. That's just me because I am dieting. I'm sure it added flavor and it definitely tasted good. I did see that they had a fettuccine with cheese made the genuine way in a Parmesan cheese wheel and the cheese they add to your pasta on request is shaved from a cheese block. That looked good. They did not offer cheese for my partner's ravioli dish. Possibly inappropriate but leave it to the customer to decide. There was a baby SCREAMING in a corner of the restaurant (at least they were in a corner) when I went inside to go the restroom. A gentleman eating alone at the bar across from that corner looked very unhappy. Nothing a restaurant can do about that. It was Sunday night and it is expected people bring their kids out on Sunday. I read on Yelp they were trying all sorts of things. Indeed the menu is very extensive. I read someone saw sushi on the menu - that is no longer there. I requested 2 samples of glass wine to decide which bottle to order and then they brought me a glass of wine. I purposely only tried glass wines that were available by the bottle. There are only a few of these. That was a misunderstanding. They saved me from myself though. My dining partner just stuck with beer (he had 4) but he had intended to share the bottle with me. My glass of wine took forever to show up after I made my choice. I finally asked someone who came out to the patio to the other table being served to check on the bottle I was expecting and our waitress asked me not to ask other people for things because it creates confusion. I wanted to take my dining partner out for a nice dinner to thank him for some wonderful technical help he gave me. The choices within reach of the Hampton Inn Miami Doral without a huge drive are limited when you want to go upscale and we had BOTH already eaten at the Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine. He had chosen Chef Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar which sounded fabulous. It was a 15 mile drive which I was willing to do but it was booked. The person on the phone explained that they close at 9 on Sunday. I wanted something with some seafood choices so that excluded some local popular meat places.

Great service, delicious food. The chicken marsala melts in your mouth. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with a great selection of items on the menu.

Ok. Ill start by saying that this review would have been a lot better if our waiter had not given us an attitude throughout the whole dinner experience, as if he was upset about working; we were a group of 10 people and I would think he would be happy about the tip that was to come... anyways to the restaurant and the food. Amaaaazing! the food was very well made and fresh. I had fish, seabass, desert and a cappuccino to end it all. I was very satisfied with my meal and so was everyone else. As a costumer who enjoys eating out, I dont expect a lot from service, but if you make the people you are serving feel bad, the overall experience will be bad. I hope the restaurant makes an assessment of those who represent them at each table.

I was looking for a spot to have a mini birthday dinner with a friend and found this thanks to yelp. I'm familiar with the area and never really noticed this place even though the huge DIVIETO sign now stands out clearly to me on 41st street. The waiters were very kind and attentive on both my visits. On my first visit we started off with the beef carpaccio and lentil soup. The beef carpaccio was nice and easy to eat. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious. It was favorite part of the night. It's a creamy chicken lentil soup so I love it but it may not be what others would typically expect (vegetarian). The complimentary bread is also soooo good! We also had the burrata and bolognese lasagna. But by the time the lasagna was served I was already stuffed from the appetizers. The lasagna was so-so. Not great and it felt like it had been reheated. On my second visit though I had the Marscapone pasta (shrimp and chicken with penne pasta). It was great and enough for two people. Desserts: I tried both the tiramisu and creme brulee. They were okay but I've had better. But out of the two I'd have to say that I preferred the tiramisu. Will be back again for that lentil soup!!

I finally came in here after a couple of years of passing by it every day. Upon entering we were instantly greeted and sat in a booth near the bar. The atmosphere was nice. Dim lighting, black and white checkered floors, dark woods, etc. They have outdoor seating, which is always a plus (except that particular night was too hot to enjoy). To begin with, the service was great. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable of the menu but he was nice and attentive. He brought out what seemed like pita chips... C'mon, you're an italian joint. Where's the freshly baked bread? :( I was in the mood for pasta, so I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Bland and overpriced. My bf had the Farfalle Salmon, which should have been named Salmon flavored Farfalle instead. Where was the Salmon? Invisible to the naked eye. The calamari was good, although it was mixed in with fried slices of green and yellow peppers. Why the fillers? Not cool. I won't be back. This place is not special. And if you are tempted to pay an additional $5 to toss your pasta in a big bowl of cheese, you may as well grab those 5 bucks and toss them in the garbage.

The only good thing from our dining experience was the food! And thank goodness for that because we were about to walk out after waiting 15 minutes for our server to come take our order. We ordered the mascarpone pasta as per yelpers advise and it was fresh and delicious. It came out super hot and al dente. Our service was below average - it took him forever for refills, to take the order and give us our bill. The nicest person we encountered was older lady that came to bus our table. So sad :(

The decor inside is really nice. The menu is a little all over the place; like they have sushi on the menu, odd for an Italian restaurant. I have heard of fusion food, but this fusion hits all cuisines (mexican tacos, italian, american, jap sushi, nicaraguan etc) . The dessert menu had a tiramisu and a cuatro leche, another odd pairing for an italian fusion. The waitress was nice but a little spaced out. . The cocktail menu could use a better offering and cheaper prices. The steak with the mash and arugula was nicely presented and had good flavor. the grouper pasta dish was good. The tiramisu was just okay, looked better than it tasted.

For American-Italian fusion, I was impressed. Food options were tasty (I went in a large group and forked everyone's plates). I definitely recommend Divieto for all group sizes. Drinks were alo delicious!

Great decor, good service, perfect for a romantic date, great food had the divieto burger 7/10: the meat was great, the bread was great in flavor and good in texture, the mayo was great, the only thing i would change its the rugula because it kills all the tasty flavors, eat it upside down so this doesnt affect. fries 7/10 also had the lasagna bolognese 8/10 it was really good, for dessert we had the brownie, it was great. 8/10 i will return.

It's better than I expected. The decor is an old school classic Italian vibe. The customer service is on point. If you are not sure about a wine most likely they will let you get a taste of it. Try the ruota de parmigiano with chicken where they have parmesan cheese from Italy barrel. They mix the pasta in the barrel in front of you. It's a nice experience. Also the mascaporne pasta that comes with chicken and shrimp. Our waiter say good bye to us with a nice handshake.

My husband and I finally decided to try this place for Saturday lunch. It was not too busy. Beautiful decor. The staff was friendly and the service was great. Started with some Antipasto, ordered the Burrata with added shrimp. Very delicious. Our entrees were spectacular! Mascarpone pasta for me and Mushroom Risotto with added shrimp for hubby. Both dishes were amazing, well seasoned, flavorful! A capuccino to finish our meal was a good touch. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back for sure.

Held my daughter first communion luncheon and it was really good. I felt that the set up could have been a bit better but it was not bad, food was really good. The only negative was the service, we only had one server helping us plus one girl that was "training" so she was not really much help so it took an average of 20 mins for the waiter to take our drink order and another 20 every time we were going to order, but honestly that was the only bad thing about the place. I really did not like the decor but I am not the owner so who cares !!!! I'd definitely visit Divieto again and totally would recommend it for this type of activities letting my friends know to request 2 waiters instead of 1.

Well, the help is nice and so is the overall appearance of the restaurant with its high ceilings, tin in fact, open kitchen, and strong WiFi, but the singer with her catawalling is intrusive. I'd have old romantic Italian or romantic Italian opera, which placed emphasis on the imagination. Bocelli's concert at Porta Fino would be asking for too much, however, lots of Andre Rieu or Italian tenors, but this, no no no! The carciofo/spinach and cheese starter is ok; very mild. $290.00 for mystery vintage Dom Perignon is a wee bit precious. I had a very nice Chicken Piccata, with broccoli all gooped up in the otherwise good lemony sauce and veal scaloppine; both tender. Lots of alright coffee to finish. They have all of the possibilities of a classy/romantic spot, but they need to take a hard look at the entertainment. It needn't be live; God knows every restaurant in town has a tv screen, why not get a big one and pipe in really good pieces of fun and romantic Italy. When they do something about the ambiance then the restaurant will become what I think it wants to be: romantic, classy, trendy and intimate. I'll be back.

Excellent food, pasta al dente, sauces are exquisite, ambience is smooth and jazzy, senior waiter, a Cuban gentlemen acts like he owns the place, a little bit over pricy but cooking is just PeRFEct.... Enjoy

We arrived for lunch and found the restaurant empty at noon, with only one other couple there. Our party was seated, orders taken swiftly; service here is very good. Fish tacos are gigantic--prepare to be full. Clam chowder is very good, if a bit heavy on the cream. Pastas and salads were all good. The restaurant is very dark, which would work better for me in the evening. Music was also a bit loud, as we wanted a conversational lunch. Tiramisu was elegantly presented, with four forks.

  • Rosa Haruko A.

I have been here previously and was a bit skeptic about returning due to the poor service and food quality I had received. To my surprise the menu had changed and was more varied with lots of different protein options. I started out my meal with a tropical tuna tartare that had mango and avocado, it was incredibly tender and delicious! For my entree I had a salmon salad that had peppers, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and asparagus. The dressing was light and not over seasoned. The only reason why they didn't receive 5 stars was due to slow service. Other than that this place was great, I'm glad I gave another try!

I'm never in Doral but today I was invited to this Retaurant for a late lunch and I really liked the food presentation and the taste was on point. I had the mushroom risotto and it was perfectly cooked al dente and not swimming in sauce or cream. I absolutely would go here again and eat this dish. The waiter was attentive and the place was was a bit dark but felt homie. My friend had spaghetti and meatballs and he really enjoyed it.

Ok, Picture yourself in a ramada inn at 1 am anywhere in suburban America, then grab your plates and close your eyes and wake up in Doral, Fl trapped in a restaurant with an open kitchen full of loud middle aged Cuban "chefs" yelling at each other while preparing the (italian) dishes" you are about to eat. How did I end up here tonight? A bad combination of work circumstances, hunger, and trusting yelp reviewers who probably live around here and have little choices. The most decent wine is an Erath Oregon Pinot noir and you will have to pay 12 dollars a glass or 49 a bottle. (18 dollars a bottle in any wine store by the way...or 15 by the case) 49 dollars at this pseudo family diner/Cuban/Italian eatery seems not really appropriate considering the ambiance. I looked beyond it and ordered two glasses for my husband and I... Here's the catch: the bottle price should always be less than the sum of four glasses as an incentive to order the bottle right? Industry standards dictate that there should be four glasses served with every bottle... When the waitress who never introduced herself tried to upsell us on the bottle and I pointed out that the glass was a better deal because four times 12 is 48 and the bottle is 49 she insisted and said that because of "how they pour there wine there" the bottle was a better deal. !!??? (so you are not just ripping me off but you are rubbing it in my face?) (strike one) One of the guys," I guess a food runner"came and threw a 14 dollar "goat cheese and pear Salad" at us which had. ONE arugula leaf as an ornament I guess ,a whole bunch of iceberg lettuce, a fresh unpeeled pear chopped in 6 giant pieces, some cherry tomatoes and a very scarce amount of CRUMBLED DRY FETA ! Feta is made with goat cheese but really??? I give you 14 dollars and you bring me this? I'm starting to see a pattern here... (strike 2) Then came the 16 dollar shrimp linguini with 5 jumbo shrimp...a" pink vodka" sauce that tasted like mayo, and enough capers and pasta to end world hunger. A 20 dollar grouper linguini drenched in "Alfredo" sauce from a can Both of these brought by another guy who had a Parmesan grater in his hand and was surprised I didn't want any Parmesan with our fish and seafood dishes... My Italian ancestors are screaming from their graves at this point... (strike three) And I'm OUT OF HERE 115 dollars later Are you in Miami craving Italian food, take the drive to brikell and visit perricone or to Sobe and try Sardinia or even better try SIBO at coral way and you'll get authentic italian for the same or less money and a huge selection of amazing italian and californian wines at half price half price a glass during happy hour and bottles at half price during lunch. Stick to joe's sushi if you have to eat in Doral.

I like Divieto. It has it's good and bad days. The service is always good. The servers are nice, even though it bothers me a little that they greet you in spanish. We reply in english and sometimes they continue in spanish. And then it goes on like this until they finally switch over to spanglish. We understand spanish but we prefer to speak english. For the food we like the tuna cannibal, all pastas, the pizza is good and the deserts are huge!

My partner and I went last nite and the food was excellent or should I say the best italian food that we've had in a while. Also, their service was Excellent, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. Everything overall was Excellent. They will be seeing us again!

I have to start by saying the managament team is for lack of a better word useless. They dont know anything about liquor or wine, not culinary culture what so ever or managent experience, and 2 out of 3 dont even speak english. The food is good although the quality has gone down but good food you can find in a lot of places the ambient and service is what makes people go back.

Wonderful menu and lunch specials. I've gone weekdays for lunch and it is never packed, I imagine most of their traffic comes during the week nights and weekend. Not too fancy, coming in casually works. Overall very delicious and good service. Definitely will go back!

I've been several times and always good quality food and service, I definitelly can not complan at all! The diversity of the menu is very interesting: Italian, American, even some mexican and asian influence makes a great place for every taste. The mexican chef there really brings great flavors.

This is my hubby and I's new place for an early start on cocktails and appetizing food. Being the foodies that we are, pleasing our palate and our environment is not always an all-in-one package. But Divieto's has managed to catch our attention. We've been here a couple of times and on all occasions, have had a good experience. From the Fish Taco's, to the Dumplings, everything has rich flavors, is served hotn(one of my pet peeves) and is well presented. The place reminds me of a 1940's diner, with it's Throwback Italian decor and jazzy tunes playing in the background you will definitely lose yourself to its charm. Happy hour is a great time to start since they have a beautiful full bar that makes you feel like your on South Beach without the SoBe prices. The service has always been very friendly and Pablo, the bartender, always makes sure that your drinks are topped off. Only wish they had appetizer specials during happy hour to go along with their half off drinks. We love that their menu is quite extensive giving everyone a selection of foods to pick from and the waiters seem to be well informed on all plates. So gather up your friends and head over to Divieto's for a night of robust food and great friendly service.

I live near this neighborhood so I had been waiting for this place to open. Finally I went on the first day opened to the public with my boyfriend and I was blown away. The ambiance was perfect. Candle lit lighting, and 1920's decor. The lobby was playing the film Metropolis and the music were fun jazzy tunes of the same era. They do have bread service and it comes with a side of olive oil and parmesan cheese. They also integrate these delicious house made flatbreads. We had the calamari to start off. Some places really mess this up but I could've had 20 orders. As my main entree I had the Tuna which was prepared Asian style with a sweet and flavory soy sauce and jasmine rice with steamed broccoli. Everything was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the Veal Picatta. And for dessert we tried the Johnny Cobbler and the Tiramisu. Both were a must have. I also couldn't complain about the service. Will definitely return. I'm very glad to have Divieto in my neighborhood and I can't wait to try their other menu items.

Doral has been missing a Divieto. Recently opened. Bold and unique dishes, hence the asian fusion tag line on the building. A very large selection of solid dishes, that come out very fast. So if it's lunch go for it. Service is very good and the waiters take time to explain dishes and make recommendations. One thing i didn't like was that the starters were on the smaller side, but very tasty. They have a great Cocktail list the bartender is keen to make an impression with his own specialties. Pear tini and Naked rum runner was very refreshing. Open till late with flat screen TV's so if you want to catch a game, a drink before dinner this place has a great ambiance after work. Have not tried the Pizza yet, can't comment on that.

Came here for lunch. Love the dark cool atmosphere. Very nice staff. Great gem find between many chain fast food restaurants. Sat at the bar and had a great convo with the bartender Andy about the NBA playoffs. The lunch menu was nice. I had Insalata Salad which is slice mozzarella with sliced tomato. It was good. Then the lunch pasta penne arrabbiata which had a slight kick. Very good and right size. This is a nice place for a lunch date or work meeting. Want to try it out for dinner soon.

We live in Doral and are excited there is a new restaurant to enjoy. We had the Jicama Tacos and Mussels for appetizer - both great. For dinner we had Osso Buco & Fettuccine Alfredo - both great. Our son had chicken fingers and french fries - fries were amazing. Finally dessert was the brownie with ice cream - big enough to share. Our server was Carmen and she was very knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is extensive and we look forward to going back and trying new things.

Wow!!! I loved this place it was off the chain. They had an interesting menu with the American-Italian fused style but it was good.

I live in Doral and have been watching Divieto under construction and finally opened up :) Bravo from the staff to the food and services - Jo Ann and Alfredo are on top of their game and the hospitality flavor is 100% expressed ... Happy hours are always good time to have few drinks and meet up with old and new friends at the bar :):)

Horrible!!! Decor was nice, service ok. But the food was disgusting. I'm not a picky eater, but it was horrible. They brought out this dipping sauce with the bread that tasted soooo bad, it was like spoiled olive oil with rotten Parm cheese. The pasta was covered in sauce and the osso bucco was so hot it had to have been microwaved. Dessert was watery and over sweet. I don't understand the good reviews!! Save your money and go to Olivos across the street. I've been going there for years and it is consistently good.

Had take out last night. Long week of travel. Had burrata with prosciutto and grouper scampi. Best meal I had in weeks. Awesome! A+!

All the dishes I've tried. No complaints on my behalf but the waiter needs to be more on top than chit chatting with the other servers. Overall food is delicious

The service was exceptional. The calamari was avg. The grouper scampi was very good. The sangria tasted a little watered down. I had the brownie for dessert, and it was avg. The live entertainment was good. A good variety of choices on the menu, and the prices are reasonable.

Excellent Quattro Stattione pizza, well prepared drinks, cold beer. Better service by Italian Maitre. For a Tuesday night was a good crowd. Good prices. We will come back asap. Thanks

Arrived for lunch at 1:30pm. I only have a one hour lunch break. The place is a little slow when it comes to bringing out the food, I was done and paid and out within 40 minutes, os a half hour lunch break is not doable. Food was good, got the burger with same name of restaurant. Burger was cooked medium (by default), good burger, came with truffle fries and bread beforehand. Whole meal was 18 with tip.

My bf and I ate at Divieto Ristorante during our stay in Miami, taking advantage of the fact that we had a rental car. I was in the mood for Italian, especially because we had stuffed our faces with Spanish cuisine since our arrival. I found the restaurant on Yelp and the menu looked very appealing. The place looks great. The white brick and black accents on the front of the restaurant give it a very clean look. They also have tables with umbrellas for seating outside. I love the look of the inside as well from the brick walls to the leather booths and unique ceiling. Our server was very friendly and told us the specials in addition to giving his personal recommendations. We decided to go with some of his picks. We shared the Mussels Marinara ($12.95), Jicama Tacos ($9.95), and the Fried Calamari ($10.75). They were all soooo good. The Mussels Marinara were in a spicy garlic and tomato sauce and it was served with garlic bread sticks, which we used to sop up that delicious sauce. The Jicama Tacos consisted of homemade Surimi, Mayo and Pepper mix, Jicama shavings, and Soy sauce. First time I'd ever had Jicama in tacos and I loved it! The Calamari was crispy and not greasy (which I've experienced from other establishments). The dish also had Zucchini and Squash and served with Garlic Aioli and Marinara Sauce. We were stuffed after this meal! I'd def recommend this place. Great meal, fast and friendly service, and reasonable prices!

Service is inscrutable. Whether it's intentional or not, we ended up with drinks we didn't order and several rounds of confusion. Food was ok with calamari a standout. My Grouper Scampi came in a molded hump over linguine, but with little seasoning.

I felt I was in the early 1900's, about to have my regular Italian dinner with a mafia. Then I saw my iPhone and I was like, Whoa!? 2012... nevermind! This place has a pleasant everything! Service is amazing, greeting is very friendly, parking is easy and the option of valet, background music is smoothing to the ears, food is not expensive, the amounts of food in each plate is a lot or just right, the decoration is absolutely unique, modern, oldie and classy, the bar is FULL, the temperature is perfect, and groups and kids would love this place on first impact. I had the "Carne Asada" pizza, which I would prefer calling it the Taco Pizza. It was a different taste of pizza and not bad at all. Although the size of it is more than enough for 2 people. Trust me! My girlfriend had the gnocchi with chicken covered in pesto sauce. I liked her plate more. Strong taste yet smooth when accompanied with wine. 1 star less, only because we were seated in the far right side of the restaurant when you walk in, which is like an indoor terrace. This area other than a different touch/look to the restaurant, it had an annoying noise which wouldn't stop. meanwhile, looking at the menu I lost my appetite when the noise was just taking over. I asked the waitress to move us, which very politely and with the manager we were apologized and moved. What frustrated me a little was that they new about it and still sat us there... I guess they wanted to give it a try once more? Well, no need to say more. I was happy overall, and I'll post photos on my next visit. Thanks Divieto, I like the name too!

And everything from the apitizer to the drinks to the entrée and even desert was 5 star quality. I will be coming back very soon!

I don't know which compliment to begin with so let's make it easy for the people who don't like reading the whole thing and need to find a great place to eat Service - even at the busiest part, every table full, we received personal and genuine service. Not just from the waiter, but from the bus staff and also from the manager, Rob, who made it his personal mission to ensure that our evening was going well and that every step of our experience was to our expectation. Not only did Rob check on us multiple times, but I calibrated this service by watching him do it to each table of guests. You truly can't ask for more personal service from an establishment Now the food - prepare to be amazed. Every time I have eaten here I have forgotten that I'm at a real restaurant, so I come in with the expectation of that of what I expect from a chain. This however, is not a chain. The food is freshly made and this is apparent. I have never experienced such flavor and such culinary satisfaction. Trust me, this is no Olive Garden. But for the price it might as well be. Actually, I dare say that I think it may even be less expensive than Olive Garden, and it's an insult to use that name twice during this review. If you want a place that will truly leave you satisfied on every possible level, you owe it to yourself to come here. You will be glad you did

I wish the service was as good as their food. Very very sad. I believe that service is everything. This place had horrible service. I only got my water refilled after I asked for it the fourth time. They were very good about cleaning my area. Busboy did a better job then the waiter. Food was good. Eggplant parm for appetizer, mushroom capellini for entree, and apples in wonton for dessert.

The food was great. Real italian food, not oiled down chain restaurant food. We ordered the fettucini alfredo with chicken, a side caesar salad, and creme brulee. All of it tasted amazing, minus the creme brulee. I can't rate the creme brulee since what I got wasn't it as far as we could tell - it was something more like bread pudding with melted ice cream and a strawberry instead of the creme brulee w/ blueberries (as their site describes). I can't say that much about service since we got it to-go, but the hostess was very polite, nice, and prompt. She did remember to give a straw for the drink, however there were no utensils or napkins. We got those from downstairs at our hotel thankfully. If I ever come down to this area again, I'll definitely eat here again and dine in next time. The atmosphere was lovely with a great interior and a fairly quiet space since everyone looked like they were too busy eating to talk.

It gets harder and harder to satisfy with good food and good prices. This restaurant did not only both of those things but topped it off with AMAZING service. My biggest pet peeve in Miami in general is the lack of service anywhere. I notice details, I expect a certain base service no matter where I go, and let's face it, basic service should be expected yet rarely found in this city. However, let me start from the beginning... We brought our daughter for her welcome home/prebirthday dinner. Honestly, we didn't know what to expect coming here, since Bruschetta had been such a disappointment in its latter years. They have remodeled and its definitely cute. We were seated and Carmen, who was very, very friendly and helpful gave us menus, and suggested the Jicama tacos as an appetizer. Since I love Jicama we definitely added it to our starters. After ordering wine, we ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana as the second appetizer, both were delicious. There was a wee problem with my plate (not to be confused with dish which is the description of the food, I really wish people would stop confusing the two.. hearing things like "our plates are made with utmost care" drives. me. nuts.) I pointed the issue out to Carmen, asked if I could get a new one. That is all, I just wanted a new plate. Immediately Alfredo, the manager came out, whisked everything away and asked what we wanted instead. I was quite shocked, it was really no biggie, yet the service was exactly as I would have done myself. BRAVO.. We insisted it wasn't necessary but he insisted the contrary so, I told him we don't eat meat, pork or chicken so please just surprise us. He did. He brought out delicious tuna. Our meals came out, we had ordered a Veggie Pizza to share and Fish Tacos. LOVED the Tacos - we all did. We liked the pizza. After all the appetizers we had nibbles of both and decided to take home the rest. Carmen had warned us that the portion sizes were pretty big, but of course I didn't listen. Just a couple of things I would change, first, the menu is slightly too extensive, its really hard to go through everything to choose (Gordon Ramsey would have a heart attack). Second, pizza shouldn't have carrots or broccoli, veggie or vegetarian doesn't necessarily mean that any vegetables can go into anything, flavors vary. Having said that, those really, really, really are not a big deal.

Very good place to have dinner. The service could not be better from the hostess to the full staff. Very attentive to all your needs. Try the pasta with Alfredo sauce finished table side inside a large Parmesan wheel. The Marinara sauce is one of the best I've had south of NYC.

Amazing food and great service from manager Robert and server Fabio! We came in on Valentines Day and both gentlemen made the experience special! I would highly recommend this place for any date night or special occasion! We had the mascarpone pasta and the fettuccine alfredo, which came with an awesome presentation! Thank you Robert and Fabio for making our evening great!

Definitely not what I expected given a total renovation of this restaurant formally known as Bruschetta. This place is all show no go....food is one step above chain, I tried the mussel appetizer and it was salty tell me that the mussels were not fresh but preserved or the chef has no clue. The eggplant appetizer was served in a stack cut almost an inch think....never seen it that way and I love eggplant parm., it was cut too think and you got that nasty after taste. It was the first time eggplant parm appetizer was not finished by four people. The meal....a a filet sliced on top of truffle risotto sounds good but it was sliced sirloin not filet Mignon with little flavor. Risotto was OK, they gave you plenty to make up for the meat. This place is OK at best. Good for large families wanting some pizza and bread sticks. I don't know how they are going to pay for this place unless they rethink there menu. wine prices are good.

Well, I guess I am a glutton for punishment, because I went back a forth time... the forth, and for sure, my last... After being taken to the dreaded area by the windows - even though we specifically requested a booth when we reserved - we were sent to "no-man's" land... limited service, freezing temperatures and it's every man for himself... (try to NEVER sit there... service near the windows is worse than any where else in the restaurant and that area seems to be jinxed with mediocre service). We went with a party of 5 on Friday night... the appetizers were luke warm and drowning in sauce (too salty for my taste). After waiting for almost an hour for our entrees, my salad order was wrong, and my husband's fish tacos were cold as ice... this was beynd disappontinhg and a "repeat" performance of our horribly bad last attempt at "window" seating in Divieto. I will say that the manager (Alfredo), confronted the situation and was highly apologetic... but EVERY time we go there the food is COLD... does no one check the food before it leaves the kitchen?? And this is not a cheap place!! For sure, we will not return, and if you must, never go during peak lunch or dinner time, or on weekends or with a party larger than two... Literally, the Italian food is better at Denny's (yes, Denny's), at least there, it is usually HOT, regardless of your party size or seating area...

Just mehhh...chain-restaurant food with little flavor. I had the chicken picatta & the chicken seemed like it was boiled & the sauce was bland. The 1920's decor theme is nice. But, doubt I'll be back. I hope they improve - Doral needs some more good eating places!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
