Holy guacamole! This was a fantastic surprise. We actually came to Siuhimoto not realizing it was Sunday and stumbled into this place. Between our insanely amazing waiter Keifer and the bar tender Ryan, my mom who is "very critical" described our experience as being "treated like royalty!" Great, amazing and wonderful does not describe this experience. My taste buds have been to heaven and back for each course. Our waiter knew the menu and led us down the path to Utopia. First we had the 4 course meal that we shared. Started with Cheddar. YUMMMM! Next to bouillon 'land & sea'.we had so much fun timing our meat then savoring it. Just delicious! To end it the dessert of choice....BANANA FOSTER...is simply insane! Bananas to say the least. Not sure how to describe this tasty dish but Just try it. Thanks to these guys we ended a great vacation on a very high note. Will be back!

It blows my mind how this establishment has so many restaurants throughout the country. How anyone could ever want to return to this place is beyond me. The prices are outrageous. The server told us the portion sizes were "like a Thanksgiving feast," so the four of us split two 4-course entrees. The portions were hilariously small. All four of us left hungry. The service was slow. Our server, Paxton, forgot about us. Between the cheese fondue course and salad course were 30 minutes of empty glasses and no sign of her. We had to get up and get the hostess's attention twice throughout the meal. The manager (owner?) came by and asked us how our experience was, and I told him how bad the service was. He brought out another portion of steak, but none of it was really that good. Oh yeah, did I mention you have to cook your own food? It takes that long for it to come out, you're paying $35-$50 for 3 bite-size pieces of 3 different meats you cook in sauce you also pay too much for. The cheese and the chocolate fondue was good, but again, portion sizes were ridiculously small. Needless to say, I will never return and I suggest that no one try it out. It's really not worth it.

Worth the money!! Lyric was our waitress and she was sweet, attentive, and very helpful!! We did two of the 4 course meals and split them between the three of us. Next time we would just do the cheese and chocolate and order a salad because there was A LOT of food and none of us were that hungry so we had a lot left over. We also had drinks (3 beers, a martini, and a glass of wine) and it all ran about $150. I would definitely recommend coming here and will be back!!!

We love how romantic the atmosphere is and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with this location and a great staff!!!

Food is OK, but definitely overpriced. It would have three stars based on that, but our server was outright hostile. So, we took our seats and explained it was our first time at a fondue restaurant. That comment was met with an audible sigh and a brief explanation of the confusing menu. We ordered a 4-course meal which would take place over two hours. Honestly, the food was alright, albeit expensive. The cheese had a bit much wine, but alright. The salad and main course were both tasty. However, drama ensued over dessert. Our waitress dropped a dessert menu at our table in passing, and returned to take our order ten minutes later. Both my friend and I were confused over pricing, so we asked if the chocolate varieties had different pricings. The waitress proceeded to explode and make a scene that the menu was not confusing and we were too concerned with price. Needless to say, she lost her a tip and a returning customer.

Horrible food. Cuts of meat were questionable. The design of the menu is frustrating and misleading. It is obscenely expensive for what it is.

I've come here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and a celebratory dinner on different occasions, but both times were great. we've both always left really impressed with the service and satisfied with our meal. we always do the four course meal of salad, cheese, meat and dessert. I usually don't like cheese but I actually really enjoy getting the cheddar cheese fondue. the meat isn't my favorite but still good. we've tried the s'mores fondue and another one I can't remember but always worth it! I think the thing that gets us the most is the waiters though, there always very informative and know their stuff. we're always asking what the best pairings are for the oil and meat and how this fondue taste and they give great advice and recommendations. their well knowledged in their menu and it makes the experience go much smoother

Paxton was absolutely wonderful. Best service we have had anywhere in a very long time. Personality was great, adapted to both adults and children and was very knowledgeable. The only recommendation I have for the restuarant is to stock more menus. We had a reservation and had to wait to be seated because there weren't enough menus. However, Paxton made up for that. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. What an ill managed establishment!! The place was absolutely DEAD and there is no wonder. I would never return to this particular location. The smell is rancid as well as the manager.

  • Tom L.

First off we got there at 8pm on a Tuesday night and the rude hostess said we need to wait 45 min since we didn't have a reservation. The place was half empty. When I asked why she said that they didn't have enough staff on hand. This is spring break week people. We sat near the bar area just before 845pm with our young kids. We didn't get out of there until 11pm and this was an empty restaurant. The food was way too expensive for what you get. The kids meals are overpriced at 12.99 for a small pile of raw meat. No sides or salad that come with it. The best part was the dessert. Overall this experience was okay for our first time but I will never go back to another melting pot. Too expensive and too long to eat.

  • Sheila O.

Food was not bad, except for some past prime broccoli. The not so great part was the chipped plates, not being able to find a menu (?) and being a plate short for our table and being told "sorry we are out". The service left a lot to be desired for this price point. Being told to "knock ourselves out" with the seasoning and "ok cool" about how our check was split and if we wanted water. Having to ask to clear dirty dishes also should not happen at this price range. Didn't really seem like good service was a priority.

Celebrated a birthday dinner for a party of 10 and our server Paxton was awesome!! She was great at explaining the entire experience to the nexbies, and really took care of us!!

What a great experience. This was our first visit to the melting pot. Service was impeccable and food was delish!! We got the four course dinner. Way too much food for two so next trip will be a little scaled back. Of course, our favorite part was dessert. YUM!!!

  • Jessica F.

Good food, good service and a overall fun experience! It's pricy but me and my husband did the four-course meal and had plenty of food. I recommend making reservations. We enjoyed it a lot! It's not somewhere we would go regularly but for a special occasion or romantic date night, it's fun!

The food is good. We went in Memorial Day weekend. They had not anticipated the number of customers that showed up. They started running out of food and several menu items were not available. Good food but poor planning by the management.

I have been to many melting pots and this one was really great!!! It is pricey and a lot of food, but all of it is completely worth it. The best part, to me, is the desert, chocolate fondue with strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows, bananas, and so much more!!!! I also really enjoyed the tuna and filet!!! I would love to return and had an awesome time...it was one of the highlights of my entire vacation. Go hungry and enjoy because there is not another restaurant that is in anyway similar. Overall wonderful experience and can't wait to come back next year!!!

The food was fantastic, we had the four course meal, alpine cheese for the first course, salad for number two, the entree, which had lobster, filet mignon, chicken, shrimp and pasta. For desert we had white chocolate with Cointreau and dulce. This was a suggestion from our waiter, Glenn, who was so awesome and friendly. I would definitely ask for him to be your server

Any review less than 5 is a crime. Albeit pricey, the food and experience pays dividends that greatly match it's face value. Being a newlywed couple, we came here for rest, relaxation and some great food. We definitely felt all of these here yesterday. The waitress's name was Amber W and she was very informative and accommodating to our needs. Being new to the Fondue eatery, there were certain instructions to follow. You actually cook your own food! We ordered The Classic, which for its namesake very self explanatory. Basic meats such as steak, chicken, pork and, of course, shrimp. You have total control over your entire experience as you choose the broth, the meal, how long you cook your meats and etc. Very different than traditional restaurants, but totally worth the money and experience. If you want to treat your wife or girlfriend or fiancee to a real treat, come here, dress nice, and bring a credit card. The food is first class!

pricey but really great for a special occasion type dinner. Its a long experience - its a lot of food - but its tasty and very interactive. Quality of food is good. Quality of service is very good - never seem rushed - very friendly.

WHAT a delightful evening of dining. First and foremost will absolutely recommend this for a delectable dining experience. We ordered the four course meal since it was our first time at any Melting Pot. We made our reservation and we were shown to our table upon arrival. Our server (Taryn) was excellent!!! Upon being seated she immediately took our drink orders. On her return she engaged us in friendly conversation. She explained the menu selections and recommended we plunge into the entire Melting Pot experience by ordering the four course dinner. We selected the cheddar fondue for appetizer and it included a veggie medley. This was followed by our salads. (The California salad was excellent) The main course was the steaks and we also ordered the New Orleans ( steak, chicken, sausage, shrimp). When Taryn brought the main course she also brought all the sauces that came with. Of the six we agreed that the cheesey garden sauce was our favorite. The dessert fondue was the "Grand Finale". We delighted in the "Flaming Turtle". Rice Crispies treats, bananas, strawberries, pound cake, white brownies, pineapple, and marshmallows to dip into the rich nutty chocolate. Taryn brought us additional favorites to complete the pot of melted chocolate. Overall we had an excellent two hour dining experience at this Melting Pot. Service was exceptional. Food was excellent and we definitely will return very soon. We enjoyed our evening.

Great experience. Started off with a Napa Valley favorite Oberon. Had the sharp cheddar appetizer, then for main dish I got the French Quarter yumm they bring you raw meat to the table and you cook it in your Pot, then for desert a melting pot version of Bananas Foster... OMGG (Oh My God Good). The waiter was great also but the food and the expierence was amazing. Coming back real soon.

  • Stephanie H.

I went once for the whole four course experience and it was great and fun but I think I can do without the entree fondue. Just the cheese and desert is all I need! There is nothing better than a big pot of meaty cheese with things to dip in it.

Horrible service..... The place is empty and they are telling us it is a 45 min wait 11 empty tables on the outside patio and I count 10 empty inside the restaurant Manager no where to be found, he finally came out and met us at the table. I guess they rely on a lot of tourist to not Know better and keep this place afloat And it is a Friday night After we were seated we were waited on by Krista, she did an amazing job and even turned the night around for us. The food was good and the service was also good. Thank you krista for a great evening

It's the Melting Pot of course you cook your own entree. For those reviews that didn't know Great place for a wine, cheese and chocolate experience Excellent wine menu

  • Jennise V.

The food was amazing!!!!! The beer & wine was awesome as well. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars is because they only offer a variety of chocolate fondue for dessert & I am allergic to cocoa, so another option would have been a fantastic end to our dinner.

  • Kim V.

Food was okay, but too expensive for what we got. It took a long time to get our food and our waitress was not very attentive.

Great service! Server, Glenn, was really helpful and made the experience even better. The classic Alpine cheese is super good, as was the Dark and Dulce chocolate course. And you can't beat cooking your own beef filet and cold water lobster. Will definitely eat here next time we are in town. Thanks again Glenn!!

I've wanted to try this place for so long, and we are honeymooning so we did. The food was great. It's a little more pricey than places we usually go, but it's a ton of food and it's delicious. I mean a lot. My husband is a buffet kind of guy but he's in food coma heaven tonight. It's also fun, because you get to be an active participant in your meal. For me though, the best part was the service, they were all so nice and helpful. Our server definitely went above and beyond, we even got a congrats card from the staff on our way out. I loved it, can't wait to go again!

The worst ever restaurant experience . With a reservation we had to wait for ages. Our server took a long time to get our cheese fondues out and did not explain anything ... Didn't get starter plates out with the excuse that the plates were getting washed ... Didn't get the entrees out for a long time . When I complained that they were taking a long time out server argued back we had been in only for an hour and seven minutes. We walked out fast .... We will never ever go in a Melting Pot again... Unfortunate that one restaurant messes up the whole chains reputation ... Shame on you Melting Pot Miramar Beach

We wanted to do a little something different this weekend - and obviously fondue is a great choice for that. We had been to other fondue restaurants but this was our first Melting Pot experience...friends go frequently in other cities and I would say that the experience met expectations. Awesome wine list, fantastic server and all in all a really fun date. PS Especially like the really deep, private booths - it would have been a fun time for a group or a couple.

Wasn't too impressed this time. My boyfriend and I usually go to Melting Pot for our date nights and anniversaries (....but only when we have time away from my 5 year old) and it doesn't happen often. So last night we chose this restaurant to drink some wine, relax, and have a good night out. Well we get there and the two blonde hosts immediately asks if we have reservations. No "Hey how are you?" Or "Good evening, etc". We didn't have reservations so we said no. And the blonde with short hair said "Well we don't have any tables for you. Will a table outside be fine?" First of all.. "We don't have any tables for you" is not the professional way of saying you're booked up for the night. So we said a table outside would be fine. The little host with short blonde hair walked us out and sat us directly diagonally across from a couple and their almost 1 year old baby. Really? Out of all 15 or so tables outside ..you're going to sit us right next to the only other occupied table outside? We were trying to GET AWAY from children for the night.. It was awkward for all of us at that point. Even the other table! So we postponed ordering for a few minutes (even though we were hungry) because we really considered just leaving and going somewhere else where the hospitality was better and we felt more welcomed and cared for. I'm sorry but if we plan on dropping around $200-$250 on dinner, we expect it to be a lot nicer with employees who actually care for their jobs. But I will say that our server was AMAZING! He was top of the line professional and he moved us to a quieter location so we could actually enjoy ourselves. So, thank you to our server who worked hard to make us happy and have a good dinner together in the end! Probably won't be back though. Sad part-I've worked in the restaurant industry for a few years now and I'm def not one to complain.. I know how it is ;)

It was our first time to the Melting Pot and to any fondue experience in general. Our first experience was awesome and it is something everyone should try at least once. The restaurant was awesome, our waitress was fantastic and the overall experience was killer.

I like Fondue. I like chains. Hence I like the melting pot. On my first night in the panhandle of Florida driving by with my best friend we high fived, made a u-turn (in the rain!) and proceeded to get our gluttonous nom on. No reservation needed, they had some tables available and we were seated within 5 minutes. First of all I LOVE THE BATHROOMS. I love huge bathrooms with great scents. Clean, and easy to get to without gps. :) Secondly, they have a 09 Beaujolais for $39. Cheapest wine, but its great quality, a good label, and goes with all kinds of food. And did you know in FLA you can take your untouched wine home in a sealed plastic? True story. Service was good. Salads were SWIMMING in salad dressing. Sirloin sucked and was tough and very peppery. Again too much food! Overall a very consistent experience at the melting pot.

Neat atmosphere and great food. Prepare to fill spoiled as you dip and dine your way to blissful fullness. We dint have reservations but they happily accommodated us at the bar were our bartender graciously educated and advised us on the menu and gave his recommendations as requested. Wife and I had a great time.

Our reservation was messed up and after waiting an hour we were eventually seated. When we requested the manager, he eventually showed up and chastised us for being short with the hostess. We were never given an apology for our inconvenience or recompensed in any way. The manager we interacted with had probably the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. I had been to melting pot before for several occasions or just because, but trust me I will NEVER be back. After deciding to leave, the manager just couldn't get enough; he followed us outside to continue arguing. I continued to try and be diplomatic between him and my very upset husband until I just became so appalled with his behavior that I had to interject. Christian (the manager) is very proud of his 30 yrs in customer service and his masters degree which he told us about when my husband told him he had no common sense and that this was our worst customer service experience ever. They should really fire this guy and work on how to interact with customers.

My kids love going to this place and it is a great time to sit and interact over the 2 hours it takes to have the "Big Night Out". This is definitely not your typical beach restaurant, but it is a great change of pace place

  • Casey F.

Presentation 10, food yumminess & cost 1. Honestly, the atmosphere and people who work there are great but the food and prices are not. The best thing was watching the kids chase around tree frogs in the outside seating area after the $200 bill.

I rather like The Melting Pot. I have been several times to this location and to locations in other cities and I have never been disappointed. A fondue experience is obviously not for everyone (i.e. the "I don't want to go out and cook my own food" types), but for something different from time to time I really enjoy this. The wine selection is good and I've never had a bad server. Yes, the meals here can be a bit pricey, but if you know that going in you'll be ok. I like that this location tries to put on different events, like their Ladies Night, which I have attended and really enjoyed. They also offer a discount on certain nights for military and civil service employees.

We had a great time at The Melting Pot. My wife and I had always wanted to go, but knew about the prices and stayed away, since we were unsure of what to expect. We were suckered in by some friends and had a great experience. Expect to spend 2 hours or so here if you order all courses. They had a special that offered a melted cheese fondu course, a salad next, then 5 different seasoned meats, and a final dessert course. They prepare the fondu for you, at your table and provide various vegetables and breads for dipping. Next was the salad. Nothing too special here. The meat entree was served all raw. You cook your own in a sizzling broth that you pick. I was a little concerned about over/under cooking but they tell you how long each takes (2 mins. for most everything). The dessert was fantastic. You choose whatever you like, maybe about 10 different choices. After drinks and an included tip (for parties over 5), our total was around $140. So, be prepared for that. We will go again. The best part about TMP was that you see how simple it is to make food this way, so you can do it at home for about $120 less.

We purchased a deal from Groupon to attend the Melting Pot, in Destin Florida. We basically got a deal for four people, we made reservations days before, when we arrived at the restaurant it was completely empty except for one other table. We were asked to stand at in the front doorway while they "Set our table" something we thought would be taken care of as we made reservations. We sat down and about 10 minutes later a male waiter with long hair introduced himself and took our drink order. While we were looking at the menu the prices seemed very high for a place that was completely empty. We had purchased the deal for four people to eat that included a salad and Entrée. He explained that we only had one Entrée option which was meat, chicken, and shrimp. Sounds good right?! Shortly after he brought our food which we were not aware we had to cook ourselves in a pot of Luke warm water. He brought to the table each of the people, 4 pieces of meat, 4 pieces of chicken, and 4 shrimp, all very small portions, as well one small bowl that had the equivalent of one red potatoes cut into pieces, a few pieces of broccoli, and 5 mushrooms. The vegetable portion for 4 people was terrible and we asked for more, he brought another small bowl but not of what we asked for. There was 8 of us in total there so having these small bowls of food basically split into two groups of 4 was ridiculous. When we asked him for more since everyone was still hungry and it was taking so long to cook everything, he had a very dumbfounded look and questioned why we needed more vegetables instead of just bringing them to us. The service was terrible the waiter only attended the table to bring us the food, we had to get up twice to go find him or anyone else so that we could get more drinks. The staff was nowhere to be found both times, so we were stuck waiting until they exited from the kitchen. I live in Toronto, and experience true 5 star restaurants on a regular basis and this was a building that looks like it had the ability then just failed miserably, it's a 1-2 Star restaurant at best and yet charges like they are a 5 Star +. I would not recommended this establishment mainly because of the poor portion sizes and likely the worst customer service I have seen in years. It makes sense why the restaurant is completely empty.

Overpriced food. Probably the worst service I've ever encountered, especially for a place that seems to market to a classier crowd. The waitress did a horrible job explaining how the system worked to my friend and I when we informed her that this was our first time fondueing. Not only that but the service was incredibly slow, especially for a Wednesday night at 8 pm. The night got real interesting when my friend queried the waitress as to how the pricing worked on our 4 course meal's desert and she proceeded to raise her voice inquiring why he was so worried about money and argue with him about the confusing menu. Extremely unprofessional and downright rude. As for the food, the cheese we got seemed over powered with the wine that they poured in it (it was the alpine cheese). The caprese salad, steak lovers main course with the complimentary broth, and yin yang desert was pretty good. Though to be honest the quantity and quality didn't exactly seem to match up with he price.

This is an experience, not just dinner. We have wanted to try this for years, but we are always only near one when we are with other family that don't like to explore with food or won't spend that much money (It is pricey). Soooo glad we finally did. The food is delicious and the service is above and beyond. Like other reviewers have said, this is an interactive dining experience. As this was our first time, the menu read like Greek. The server was great and very experienced at guiding us virgins through the process. She was very helpful throughout the entire meal educating us and guiding us through how everything works so we didn't screw anything up. This led to a great experience. The general manager came by our table several times to ensure we were having positive experience. After finding out about our sons love of food and cooking, he invited him to tour the kitchen (there's the above and beyond). Needless to say he was super excited and said it was fun. Now onto the food itself. It's all delicious! Enough said. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with great food and really great service, this is your place.
