Excellent ice cream, but I would love it if they offered smaller portions. The smallest cup they have is still waaaay more than I can enjoy in a single sitting anymore, but I soldiered through. You probably want to get here early, this place gets PACKED as the evening wears on. Its unbelievable. Hot dogs are decent too(Nathan's), if you want a small and cheap meal before you dive into the decadence! Just note that they stop serving them at 8pm.

Wow! Extreme sugar rush! We had decided to go find a place for ice cream after dinner. Yelp had the answer again. Bruster's is some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time. I had a waffle cone with New York Cheesecake ice cream, and my hubby had a banana split. The banana split was big enough to share. I am posting a photo of it. I highly recommend Bruster's if you're craving ice cream. :-)

Very good ice cream. It was packed but plenty of sitting spots. This is an outdoor establishment only. The prices were a little bit high.

I had the cake batter waffle cone. It tasted like I just liked the bowl after mixing a cake. It was SO yummy!

Had the banana split. Was awesome. Around 6 dollars for a huge portion. My wife enjoyed her sundae too.

Would give a 5 star but for the unwiped melted ice cream picnic table. The ice cream was delicious. I especially liked the chocolate mudslide.

Brusters is awesome. For a while, I had simply driven past the shop assuming it was another mediocre soft-serve place, but I was quite pleasantly surprised when I did stop here to discover that they have hand-dipped ice cream that's made fresh, in shop, on the daily. Score. This is mighty special ice cream because the scoops they dish out are fantastically soft, rich, and oh so creamy. I also appreciate their plentiful selection of ice cream flavors, though narrowing down the options can thus be pretty tricky because they are all so yum. In my first trip here I went for the Chocolate Oreo ice cream and that was a win. Smooth, chocolate perfection. On the next few visits I dabbled into the Death by Chocolate and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Buckeye. Double perfection. Interspersed throughout the Death by Chocolate were little brownie-like bits that added to the already rich blend of goodness. Similarly, the peanut butter flavor was studded with mini reese's cups, which added a nice crunch and welcome sweetness to the flavorful scoop. I'm determined to eat my way through all of their fantastic flavor options. Until next time.

We went in September after school started, so the line was slim. Ice cream is delicious! Prices are pretty steep, but that seems to be common among most places in Destin AKA tourist capital of Florida panhandle. Scoops are generous, lots of pecans in my delicious white chocolate turtle scoops. I got my scoops on a cone and they weren't frozen solid like most ice cream joints. They were slightly soft which I enjoyed, but made them melt much faster, so eat quick!

Great ice cream and even better in 90+ degree weather. Waffle tasted like they were freshly made. It's a little pricey but the sundaes and banana splits are made to share, or replace an entire day's worth of meals.

After eating dinner and having an adventurous day in Destin, my family and I decided to stop here to get some ice cream. This ice cream joint only has outdoor seating, which is pretty nice for the weather here. When I walked up to the window, I asked for a sample of the strawberry cheesecake. I was not impressed with this ice cream, in my opinion it tasted like a cheaper version of Ben and Jerry's that you get from the grocery store (you know prepackaged ice cream--yuck). The taste totally turned me off and I no longer wanted any ice cream. My husband end up getting some type of vanilla and strawberry ice cream combo. When I took a taste of his, I wasn't impressed at all. The only cool thing about this place is you can get ice cream and then sit under the stars. Other than that, I was not impressed by this ice cream venue. Sorry Brusters--not a fan!

The "Death by Chocolate" is completely awesome! If you love chocolate, then you have to try it.

Very popular tourist spot. Peanut Butter cup was great. Make sure you're hungry because the servings are huge.

Waited in line for a double scoop in a waffle cone. It's $5.50- a little pricey for 2 scoops of ice cream in a small waffle cone. I asked where the restroom is- they have no restroom. The ice cream was not that great either. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is overrated.

This was the best ice cream I've ever had. The flavors are very rich. My husband and I had the almond chocolate coconut(tasted just like n Almond Joy) and a sea salt Carmel toffee , which was out of this world. My son had the cotton candy explosion, and my daughter had a turtles sundae that was amazing.

Best. Ice cream. Ever. Took the whole family here during vacation and came back for dessert 3 nights in a row. Rave reviews for salted caramel, birthday cake, buckeye, and chocolate coconut almond. Great friendly staff and samples all around. You owe it to yourself to at least sample the birthday cake. Good thing for my weight that I don't live nearby.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! My man got the Cotton Candy Explosion, and it literally was a cup of delicious childhood topped with sprinkled innocence. It was awesome. I got the coffee orero and it was also awesome, and I am not even a fan of oeros like that. We got two scoops with a cake cone, and the lady was kind enough to allow us to put it in a cup too. We tried tons of flavors and they were really friendly about it. They also give a military discount. I will definitely be coming back to this place while on vacation. Yum yum yum yum.

Low quality ice cream, slow service. But free "Baby Cones" for kids, so there's that.

We visited from out of town and were so happy to find such great ice cream. My husband and I had Graham Central Station cones. It was the best ice cream I have ever had. My daughter had a sundae that looked amazing. The young lady who took care of us was very helpful and friendly. They have plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy on a lovely Destin day This place is a real gem!

This place was excellent! Fun, different, great choices in flavors. My husband & I shared a two scoop waffle cone (which is their smallest size) & had the sea salt Carmel with toffee & almond chocolate coconut. The Carmel was super "Carmely" so if you aren't a big fan don't get it. The base is vanilla with tons of Carmel swirled in it. The coconut was based in chocolate & had a great real coconut flavor with the perfect amount of nuts. The waffle cone was fresh and crisp and I would totally go there again. One of the best ice cream places I've been to anywhere!

So yummy! Went there with the family one night and had some great ice cream. Altogether we got Cotton Candy Explosion, Strawberry, and Salted Caramel (I think that was what it's called). The waffle cones were delicious as well. We got there around 7 pm and didn't have to wait at all, however just minutes later there was a big line. So, I guess you just have to time it right. Absolutely coming back!

Now this is what I call REAL ice cream!! Our family had just eaten lunch and were looking for some good ice cream. I found this place and since the pictures were making my mouth water, we headed down there. I had 2 scoops of chocolate peanut butter bullseye on a waffle cone and I gotta say, I could eat this flavor every day!! This ice cream place is so much better than paying $5 a scoop at Blue Mountain Beach Creamery in Santa Rosa Beach, which was around the corner from where we were staying and not that far from Brusters. If you are looking for an excellent ice cream experience, I highly recommend this place.

Brusters is off the MF'n chains. The banana split is top notch! Portion size is crazy on it, so consider splitting it. Good customer service. Cool seating area. All around, good place for some ice cream.

So there's this place in Destin, and it's magical. It's not super cooperate or chain-y and everything is made in house. Like, everything. The servers are friendly and willing to let you try samples. Hell, there's even a hose on the side of the building to spray your disgusting children after they dribble all over themselves. I had like the Raspberry Truffle or something and it was heaven in my mouth. For real. If you are in Destin, it's a must stop! Skip the boring ole Stone Cole Creamery and be cool. TIP! Even if you are a die-hard cone eater, get this ice cream in a cup. Holy mackeral, this stuff melts faster than normal and I looked like I was about 4 when I was finished. Thank God for that hose!

Definitely not a cold stone creamery but good ice cream. Great variety of flavors and toppings.

So good!! Looking at the crazy lines every night, I could tell that this place would be worthwhile to stop by. The chocolate raspberry truffle was to die for. They do let you sample and have a large variety of flavors.

This was an awesome ice cream place! Hubby and I had waffle cones and my daughter had a sundae and my son had like a blizzard thing (I cant think what they called it now here) and everything was delicious I cant wait to go back!

Highly recommend. They were super busy on a Tuesday evening and now I know why. I got the regular waffle cone ( 3 dips). Generous portions, fast and friendly service, great tasting high quality ice cream and cone. Don't forget to tip the young people working there. They do an outstanding job!

Turtle ice cream is the best I've ever had. It's loaded with homemade caramel and big pecans. I had that in a waffle bowl with key lime ice cream, it was loaded with a buttery graham crust. My husband had the peanut butter buckeye, it was also great. They have many more favors and after trying those I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. They give free samples! We're now in NOLA and want that ice cream, there's not many places you will probably talk about forever.

I give Brusters 5 stars because everything we had was amazing for a small ice cream place. It serves real ice cream, a nice change from other places. It also has the best tasting mini corndog rolls I've ever had. The chicken fingers and fries were awesome as well. It may take 10 minutes to get your food because they cook it all as you order it, so it's worth the wait and no heat lamps on your food! :)

Don't let the lines deter you, the service is quick and well worth the short wait. The ice cream is delicious and they offer an impressive selection of flavors. They also have quite a few treats such as brownie or peanut butter cup sundaes.

I hate to give this place 3 stars because their ice cream is really good, especially for being one of the only ice cream places in the area, but the last few times I have been the customer service has been sub par. There are certain flavors of ice cream that are apparently considered seasonal. One of my favorites that I go to Brusters just to get is called Tin Lizzy. Whenever I would go to any other Brusters locations, they would make it for me even if it wasn't on the menu at the time. Its very simple: just vanilla ice cream mixed with butterscotch and toffee pieces. However, not at the one in Destin. Everytime I go, hoping its on the menu and its not, I ask if it can be made and I'm met with an "ugh...no" from the high schoolers working there. Because of that I haven't returned in a while...which is a shame since unlike the thousands of tourists, I'm a local. Work on the customer service, and then I will be back.

LOVE this ice cream joint! We have been here about 6 times and have never been disappointed. Ice cream is delicious and ambiance of the outdoor seating just makes you feel good! Wish my yard had the great deck! We ate lunch today. My chili dog and fat crinkled fries followed by a brownie sundae were sooo yummy! Maybe I'll remember that Thursday's are bring your own banana for 1/2 off banana split day the next time we go to Destin!

Great food, prices not bad (most desserts were large and cost about $5 each). Outside seating (only! no inside seating) on our warm fall night. Very relaxing place. Couldn't ask for a better ice cream shop.
