What can I say, French food at it's finest. Loved the muscles, sole, generous pours of wine, French onion soup and wonderful crepe deserts. I've been to Val de Lo Loire, and it's good. I just think Les Amies tries harder, and it shows.

Excellent, the muscles were seasoned perfectly. The onion soup was not to salty but has a rich broth. I had a crepe which was light and delicious. Wine glasses were generous portions. Everything was amazing .Would highly recommend this restaurant although I don't want to because I am afraid it will become too popular.

Anne B's review is 100% correct. However, delicious food prepared with care takes time. If you don't have a couple of hours to enjoy your meal, go the McD's. Filet of sole and roast duck a la Orange were so delicious this evening. Can't wait to return and try something different. Bon appetite!

Good food and nice atmosphere. The Seafood crepes were delicious. Glasses of wine were massive! Kind of hidden in a small strip mall, but glad we found it. Had a small child in our group and they were very accommodating even though he might have been the first child in the restaurant in a while! Very nice experience overall.

Really wanted to love this place. We've been going to Le Val for over 20 years (when it was owned by Josie and her husband) and have had mixed reviews of the new owners, but always enjoyed the staff. We were excited upon walking into Les Amies- great interior, comfortable chairs and had fun teasing our server(one of the owners, not sure of name). Asked about the bottle of Pinot Noir on the table and was told it was okay. How much? $32.00 ha ha, how about $30 - okay. When poured at the table were told it was actually $39. hmm okay - still having a good time. Salads came - very good - and we sat and sat and sat with no attention. Finally dinners arrive with no one to clear, not the greatest, but okay- still having a good time. The 2 sole dishes were delicious! The steak au poivre not so good, and expensive. The filet was toughish and the sauce had a bitter flavor, not creamy at all. My husband offered me his carrots cause he knows I LOVE them - they had so much garlic on them they were inedible, same with the broccoli. Sit, sit, sit - can't get anyone's attention- there are only two people working in the dining room. No bus boys, no additional wait staff. Finally asked about our dessert (comes with complete meal)Napoleons practically thrown on the table, couldn't get the coffee my husband wanted, as she rushed away. Had to wait at the bar quite a while for a bill. SO disappointed - could be fabulous,...tweak the veggies, fix the steak- but mostly, hire a couple of people. My mother in law has 4 guests this week and at the beginning of our meal, thought she would bring them there. By the end, it was clear, she would not.

This place is just wonderful! A casual restaurant with fabulous French cuisine which is reasonably price makes this a real find! I have taken guests here for both lunch and dinner and they are always impressed. Try the Napoleon for dessert == it is unbelievable!

We were a party of 3 and each of us had an excellent meal. Very much reminded me of the Brasseries of Paris. I had Bouillabaisse, which was a special that night, and it was outstanding, nicely finished with authentic rouille and croutons. They poured generous servings of the house Sauvignon blanc, and all the food servings were also generous. The other entrees were a filet mignon served with 2 vegetable purees and cooked perfectly, and beef bourguignon served in a delicious slow-cooked sauce. We had onion soup and escargots, both authentic recipes, and chocolate cake and chocolate mousse, both huge servings and incredibly rich. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the ambience was great. This has to be the best opportunity for affordable, excellent and authentic French food in south Florida. Better hurry up and get there, because my advice to Chef was to serve less and charge more - and it will still be a great deal if they do that.

The food was fantastic. We had chicken giamoldana and the scallop special. The sides were tasty. The service was the only thing not up to par

Wow what a disappointment Nothing really French about it. Ordered the sea bass which is very difficult to ruin but they did. Not only a small piece but over cooked (which I did not ever think you could do to sea bass) Service .... None really which you would expect at a boutique restaurant..

I don't see how Paul S (or anyone else) could give Les Amies anything other than an excellent review. Having spent most of my adult life in NYC, where outstanding French restaurants are common, I didn't expect to find anything of three star quality in South Florida, and indeed Les Amies is the only French restaurant to make the cut. Wonderful ambiance by the way.

If you loved the food, but especially the service of Diane and Marie-Therese at L Val de Loire, you'll love this new home for fabulous French cooking even better. Very comfy décor, warm and clean, and the service is as expected with Diane running the show, all like being an old friend invited to dinner. But the food, ooo la la! We started with the house wine by the glass, excellent with big glasses and a generous pour. No second rate wines, these were tasty. Next we had the shrimp and scallops in coquille, what a wonderful appetizer, large enough to be an entrée, and the artichoke and hearts of palm salad, again I recommend you share this fresh vinaigrette salad. With just two of us this evening, we had the filet mignon au poivre. This is the tenderest filet, cooked perfectly medium rare, with a great sauce. Crispy French fries and fresh sautéed carrots and squash sides. Fantastic. We also had the rack of lamb, tasty and properly roasted baby lamb chops with herb sauce. Magnificent. We wanted dessert but were too full. We saw go by and next time we're saving room. Prices are reasonable, portions large, service is efficient and with a smile. Food, fantastic,. Only tell people you like, so it doesn't get so busy we can't get in.
