We stopped by here for Stockyards Sunday brunch which was advertised on one of their roadside signs. The place was packed when we arrived but we were able to find ourselves a table on the patio close to the live entertainment. The line for the buffet looked long but it moved surprisingly quickly, even through the carving station at the end where the beef and lamb were sliced to order. I'm not going to try to list all of the hot and cold buffet offerings here but suffice it to say that there is something for everyone's tastes in that line including all the standard breakfast and lunch staples, salads, etc.. From the bar you can order your choice of lots of drink offerings including their amazing house specialty Bloody Mary. Our party opted for the unlimited Mimosas for a flat $10 per person. The brunch was good, the drinks were refilled promptly and the live music in the background topped off a very pleasant experience. I believe I'll find an excuse to do this again soon. Bon Apetité! A solid 3 stars!! I was there with friends for happy hour and they had a limited selection of 2 for 1 well drinks and beer. Very dark dungeon like atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I feel like it was a locals watering hole. I didn't go into the restaurant so I can't say anything about that. I ordered the burger with a side salad, a burger no bun! Very delicious!

A really solid three. I liked it here and enjoyed my meal. Four of us managed to get in here super early (even by Florida standards) on a packed Valentine's Day. They were nice enough to get us a table and never rushed us. All the meat was cooked very accurately to order, and they have a slew of old-school steakhouse sides. The whole place is old school, which is good and bad. It's fun and the meat is flavorful, but I don't think they use the highest quality ingredients. The kitchen handles the ingredients well, but more stars would come with snazzier raw materials. Sometimes, though, an old-fashioned steakhouse is just right.

I've eaten here several times made reservations for a party of eight we were all seated right away and the server took our drink orders while we looked at the menu, I thought the steak was pretty good not over the top but a little more than I expected, it's a little laid back but great pours on the drinks no complaints the food came out it was all cooked as ordered no one complained I ordered a ribeye med-rare it was perfectly cook and a little chewy but it had great flavor and was enjoyable. All the sides were ok and the service was good. I would return and try them again. The place is a little out of the way off Route 44.

Food was fair, service was fair (at best)! Tabitha was barely responsive. Doubt we will be back!

Food was good, I had the ribeye $22, it was very good and cooked as requested. I had the twice baked as my first side and it was very good, crisp top and creamy inside. My second side was the side salad, it was fair, served on a cumbersome small plate and dressing was in a plastic cup. The decor is dated and the drink station is obvious and sloppy, tables are cramped and chairs are uncomfortable. Service was quite slow and no suggestions /specials were offered. Paper napkins Server never checked on how our steak was cooked. Overall, the meal was good. The service and decor needs works. We used a groupon, I'm not sure if we would return???

Back again! Really tasty food, but Barry White on the radio is a turn off. Sue me. Hey, good to be the first check-in great ambience with live music if you're outside.

Came here for burgers. Disappointed - asked for medium, got well done. Waitress didn't even know if it was charbroiled or griddle cooked!

First time at The DeLand Stockyard. I was very disappointed in the service and the food. We ordered the Onion Ring Loaf which had onions, thinly sliced, hand-battered and presented in a loaf just like a meatloaf. It was served with what tasted like thousand island dressing it was supposed to be remoulade or ranch dressing. The onions in the center were mushy and the entire loaf did not have much onion flavor. I ordered Steak Tips seared and served in a small skillet in au jus and topped with lime and cilantro. Baked potato or fries. The tips were in a small skillet and the au jus was extremely salty. I did not finish it. My husband ordered the Petite Top Sirloin 6oz cut to be cooked medium. It came out almost raw and had to be sent back. The server had him take the baked potato off the plate and he had to place it on a napkin. When she brought the steak back about 5 minutes later the top was cooked but the inside was still really red. However, my husband felt it was tolerable so he did not send it back. The Long Island Iced Teas were okay. We may had been there on an off night, however, we will not be going back. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food! I love this place and pretty well priced. Order the bacon wrapped pork chops so amazing! I love this place much better than expected. Just one word of advice don't order the Cowboy I believe it is called. It is the 26oz portion if I remember right but it is not a great cut of meat and a little chewy still good but chewy. I will not take away a star for that because everything else made up for it.

Had a Friday night dinner here with friends that are Deland retirees. For a normally busy night, we were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the dining room to the left of the entrance (props for being close to the bar!). The mahi-mahi, along with the asparagus and twice-baked potato, was great. Fiance had the prime rib and was pretty pleased. Portions are huge... enough for dinner and lunch the next afternoon. Waitress was accommodating and very friendly, too. Overall, it's a little pricey, but from what I hear, there aren't a lot of choices in this town.

I've eaten here 3 times. The first was right when it opened. Most of the food was good, but the service was very slow. We blamed the fact that they just opened and has several large parties in that night. We've been back twice since then and the service has gotten worse each time. The last time we were there for over two hours. Our waitress complained about the other customers and blamed them for our slow service. Plus she disappeared for over 20 minutes at a time several times during the meal. A manager seemed to realize how badly things were going, but he just paced around the front and scolded waitresses. We won't be back even though some of our food was pretty good. The service is just too bad.

We REALLY wanted to like this place. We have been FOUR times because the food is is pretty good, and there are no other steakhouses in the area. It doesn't matter if it's busy or dead, the service is consistently slow and poor. One evening, we were on the outdoor patio, and there was only one bartender who was both serving and tending the bar for a full patio. We ordered a flat bread that never came, and it took a lot of patience to get refills on beer. Another time, we ate inside and I sat through my entire dinner without a drink, because the server forgot to get my glass of wine from the bar, even though I reminded her multiple times. During this same dinner, everything my husband ordered they were out of, right down to the potatoes!! On both of these occasions we spoke to the owner, who had plenty of people (servers, cooks, bartenders) to blame for our terrible experiences. All we wanted was an apology. I don't need to know why your business isn't running properly or who didn't show up for work that day. I wish he would have taken some ownership instead of blaming his employees. It's really unfortunate, because I really believe with good management, this place could be amazing.
